Pizza Union King's Cross in Islington

date of visit 13.04.24, time: 16.00-17.00 The employee/chef who served my pizza when i went up to collect it, was extremely rude and seemed hostile and needs serious retraining in how to deal with customers, the actual pizza was burnt and tastless, will not be going back.

Recently, First time, visited the Pizza Union at King Cross, opposite the Big Chill Bar on a Friday late afternoon. Urban decor, customer service was excellent! Handsome gentleman and cooks who explained how to place an order if you are eating in ;-). Place your order at the till and you will get a buzzer, when your pizza is ready for collection, buzzer goes off! Not table service, just a waiter to clear tables, working so hard. Pizza was freshly made, and delicious, my little moan would be the pizza base was a bit over cooked and too thin, apart from that it was lovely. Alcoholic drinks a little expensive, value for money would be to buy the larger bottle of beer. There was a que of customers by 6pm from the till to the door! You can tell this place is very popular for the food and atmosphere. Great place and would certainly go again.

The best pizza in London that isn’t wildly expensive - proper thin based high quality pizza, rather than the greasy stodgy stuff. I recommend the formaggi! Staff are also great, very friendly and helpful.

It was the usual Pizza Union experience. We walked into a clean and welcoming restaurant with friendly greetings and a great atmosphere as we went in. The food, as ever, was brilliant. 7 pizzas prepared in good time without sacrificing the quality, and it was also great to have a cold drink after a long day in London. Thanks to the staff of the restaurant. You guys are great.

Really great value for money. Very tasty and quick service. We always have a lovely time when we go here. The cannoli is also particularly good.

They wouldn't let me order take-out by phone: they made me sign up on their website and give them my email. They wouldn't give me the pizza i ordered even with my name and proof of identity, i had to show them the code they sent my email... This is nonsense. I don't blame the staff, this is clearly a company level policy. But it's a bad one, and I won't go here again. Food was tolerable but not great. I won't miss it.

Have been here a few times now so worthy of return. Always had a good few people on on my visits. Ambience is pleasant in an industrial style . Service is functional rather than warm and welcoming. Food freshly made and very pleasant indeed. Pizza base is crisp thin which I like. I will no doubt return here again .

We had dinner twice at this place since it was close to the hotel and it surprised us well, since we were looking for a "cheap" place and this pizzeria appeared. I can say that the pizzas are 10, the pizzas are very delicious and have thin dough. If I return to London, I would definitely return to this place.

Fantastic pizza, freshly made with great ingredients and generous toppings. Very quick service and reasonably priced. Good choice of pizzas even though they no longer offer my favourite with goats cheese and basil. We were all very happy with what was on offer though. Really recommend Pizza Union.

Pretty decent place, serves what they say, not too good, nor too bad either. Good, quick service, priced right, and meets the purpose!

Perfect for a pleasant meal: Warm welcome, clean place, pizzas in a real wood-fired oven. They are fine, simple with fresh products (even the chicken is quality, not fast food chicken!). Very fast service. Very reasonable prices (marguarita at 5€80..). You can come to dinner alone, you won't be uncomfortable.

This is the best taste and quantity for a price like this in London. Even if you just order a basic margherita, it's not salty and delicious.

The pizzas are not great, dough so thin that they are very dry. Much too noisy place, it's screaming and it's not pleasant.

Staying in St Pancras before taking a train to Brussels and just wanted a simple supper before an early night, so walked down to Union Pizza. It’s all a bit fast food style with food orders at the counter, choose your drinks in a fridge (not much apart from bottled beer and soft drinks) and you’re given an automated buzzer which vibrates when your pizza is ready to be collected. Simply furnished and no frills at all but the pizzas are very good and it’s excellent value for money if all you want is a nice bit of inexpensive grub and a beer with no table service. I do wonder about large numbers of 5* reviews from people who only have a single TA review to their name but I wouldn’t argue that you get what you pay for and the pizzas are really good.

Good price, good location, and they have a vegan option with vegan cheese. They have multiple vegetarian options as well. I'll come again!

Horrendous pizza - and I mean inedible. Thin burn base so crisp had no bite or flavour and resembled a singed fajita wrap slathered in pure tomato puree and cheap cheese. Nasty and tasteless. Waste of calories. Do yourself a favour and walk two mins around the corner to a Franco manca which is about. 2 pounds more expensive and a million percent better

Insanely good price for London! The buzzer to collect your food is useful, staff are fast, prices are great and plenty of space to sit as a large group... Excellent!

I remember popping in here years ago and haven't been back in the area at lunchtime to enjoy the pleasure until today! I ordered a simple Margherita Pizza which is freshly made to order on front of you in a traditional Fired Oven. The result a fantastic 12 inch tasty pizza in a classic Neapolitan style with a really tasty sauce with basil, a crispy crust (not too crispy and not doughy but just right) and good undercarriage so the pizza holds itself when you pick up a slice! Delicious. This is central London and £5.95 for a fresh 12 inch pizza! Thank you so much....I will return!

Good for a quick bite. The Pizza is made very quickly and tastes fine. It was not the best pizza, but I would not expect it for the good price. The atmosphere is good and the service is friendly. I would recommend it if you need a good and quick meal.

Good pizza, I just found it a shame that cash wasn't allowed because as tourists we get charged an extra commission.

All pizzas were delicious in the first half of the season. Although it is a wood-fired pizza, it is a bit thin. Maybe that's why some people even play one game per person. Order and prepay I have to add the sauce separately, but I don't want to do it. And it's super cheap! Good value for money and delicious food

Visited for the first time before a gig. Such a cozy and sociable atmosphere. The ordering process was refined and efficient. The pizza was super tasty; sometimes less is more and you can tell that their limited menu certainly doesn't compromise the quality. Under £10...

Nice pizza bar. Good concept for quick turnaround and bite on the go. Very reasonably priced and tasty. Margherita is under £6 which is quite amazing for London. Pizza is 12" thin crispy crust but don't expect Neapolitana with fior di latte mozzarella and San maranzano tomatoes. Quick service, tasty pizza from wood fire oven makes it well worth a visit. It's only 5 minutes walk from King's X station. I'll be back.

Its a cool restaurant We were dinner in family. Its a very comfortable place. Our pizza was made very fast and pollo's pizza was incredible. We will return.

Eat in and ordered two pizzas one pepperoni and one fungi. Food was nice enough but not the best pizza I've ever had. Was slightly lacking on cheese. Staff weren't the most friendly but were ok. Loses some stars for being CARD ONLY though, which doesn't help vulnerable people who prefer to use cash.

I ordered a pizza from this place from Uber Eats while visiting London and it is very bad, without dough, cheese, vegetables or meat. It came very late and it was cold.

Pizza was fairly decent, reasonable for the price which is always hard to find in central London. You can get a pizza for one for less than a tenner. They cram you in like sardines to eat but it's ok because you get it quickly, you just eat and leave. Good for a munch but not the place to go for a quiet dinner or something like that. Chilli dipping sauce was 10/10 Worth mentioning there are no changing facilities here, we had a baby with us and nowhere to change her and staff weren't very helpful or understanding but what can you do...

A lovely experience. The staff were helpful and friendly. The pizza was delicious and reasonably priced. When we went, it was busy and noisy. That is my only thing I could find fault with. We have to go to London next month and we will use it again.

Nice pizzas, they've got good thin bases but not super full with toppings (I like a lot). Reasonable price, especially for a London place. Always really quick for eat in or takeaway. One or two salads on the menu as well. I think between £5.95 (margarita) and £8.50 (vegan toppings) for a pizza. £2.50 for gluten free dough.

Worst pizza ever! Just a fast food where defrosted bases get some bad toppings and are burned in the oven. Orrible menu with chicken mascarpone eggs... Take the word Italian off the wall please!

Considering the location it is an affordable spot for pizza. Friendly service but on a Saturday night can be a bit rowdy. I don't know if it was the group seated behind me who were quite loud but I had to shout to be heard. The pizza is pretty good.

Cool place to meet friends, eat pizza and drink a bottle of beer. Location on a thoroughfare street. Large room and enough space, pleasant atmosphere, dim light and warmth from candles. The pizza is delicious, you can add extra sauces to it. There are warm and cold drinks.
