Pizza Stop in Eastbourne

In the 25 or so years i've been using them, Pizza Stop has always been amazing - and once again it did not disappoint! The burger was fabulous, really tasty with a proper burger bun (not one of those brioche things!) and the pizza is most definitely the best take away pizza you can get in Eastbourne! Both arrived piping hot and were just fantastic! The food from here is always consistently good, full of flavour and the regular pizza base is sooooo nice (slightly fried - just the best!)

Good pizza and much better than dominos. If there is one quarm it would be the slight lack of tomato sauce on the pizza but other than that it was hot quick and tasty and the coleslaw was homemade.

Disgusting nachos and fudge cake only thing worth eating bad bad disgusting food I would never waste penny on this place and hope you don’t

I was so excited given the Covid situation to find out that what used to be my favourite takeaway when I lived in Eastbourne delivered to my area (pevensey). I ordered it when I got home as I do normally for the latest delivery they allowed 21.30 on A Friday night?. Still a little early for us but hey ho. We ordered a range of stuff to have a little taster, so spent a fair bit. The delivery arrived on time, however the delivery driver started the conversation by saying we were a long way out and the delivery we selected was too far for the time we selected and should we order again we should select an earlier time!?!? We ordered on their website with our address and they had to agree the order. This put an immediate downer on the delivery. Then came the food. Poppers fine bog standard. Skins ok (i make better at home) sour cream dip tasted like sugar Ribs awful microwaved, vinegary, unsure of what the meat was. Burger full of sauce (no option to change) bacon on top not crispy as promised but cheese was nice and burger cooked ok. Pizza heavy, overly herby and all I could taste was dough and herbs. Incredibly disappointed in food and service from a place that used to be an absolute gem and I have used from before domino's was a thing lol. Will not revisit again.

Ordered and collected a selection of pizzas for my sons 7th birthday which were ok...but why the herbs? never seen this on pizza before and sadly put off the younger ones who could see the herbs on top of their margarita pizza! my 17 yo enjoyed his as did my partner but not being a pizza lover myself I personally won't go back or if I did would definitely ask for them without herbs sprinkled on top 🤷‍♀️

Honestly can't believe it, I have had a lovely day at my daughters christening and decided to get a pizza from my local on a Sunday night, I ordered bbq base(does not say charge extra) amd done dips which they always chuck in for me, well he was having none of it and charged me, they are absolutely dead on a Sunday night and told me to go elsewhere if I didn't like what he was saying as he didn't need my custom! Without all of us he is nothing! It is a real shame as it is a lovely pizza and he was getting rude over a couple of garlic dips 😂😂 which I did pay for! Anyway after I had already paid he was more than happy to lose my custom and even went to phone domino's to see if they charge the same price (which they also did bogof, bless him) as I say such a shame as its a lovely pizza and has been a lovely day........ I will go back as its lovely but just hope the bloke reads this and realises he needs to change as he's the problem!

I had a clear order to the gentleman behind the counter. They cooked me a completely different pizza. I asked for new one.. (the one I ordered) and it felt like so much to ask.. they were near closing time and left me stood in the dark waiting for my pizza in the shop.. not good customer service. The pizza was good.

I have been ordering from pizza stop since it first opened some 30 years ago, I remember it being the first food outlet to deliver in Eastbourne, don’t waste your time and money on big chains with big names, pizza stop is the real deal and all cooked fresh, nothing frozen, they also now do homemade gourmet burgers, they are delicious

Simply the best pizza I’ve ever had. Got a Spinach Supreme Pizza with added bacon bits. It was absolutely divine. The pizza I ordered was too much for me so I put the remainder in the fridge and had it cold with salads the next day. It still tasted beautiful. It reminded me of Christmas; big tasty roast with all the trimmings on the 25th followed by Boxing Day cold remainders with salads that taste wonderful in their own right the next.

Le service est très rapide et les pizzas très bonnes (surtout très fournies) . Excellent rapport qualité prix.

This is the best pizza in Eastbourne. Excellent delivery service too. I would not go anywhere else. Enough said!

This is the best pizza in Eastbourne without a doubt, friendly service and great prices. I had been helping a group of teenagers from a youth organisation and they were a bit cold and tired. Phoned through an order for several pizzas. Delivery arrived in perfect time and pizza was piping hot. They also do the most amazing burgers better than any other burger in Eastbourne, they are homemade using beef from the excellent butcher in Old Town.

The burgers are honestly the best take away burgers i have ever tasted. Locally sourced meat. Exactly how they are described on menu. Beef patties, def not beef flatties. The relish is gorgous also. Chips too. Always hot. And again have Never been let down. Thankyou pizza stop.

Put order in never turned up when I rang they said they tryed to ring me rubbish will not be using them again poor service

Again havent been let down ALWAYS so tasty, warm and on time. I havent tried any pizzas yet as burgers are so tasty. But have read many great reviews about how good thier pizzas are to.

Patatas fritas con queso bugers Oredered etc. No puedo quejarme de este lugar rinda bugers. Nunca he probado sus pizzas. Y no creo que otra cosa buger después de experimentar el nunca. Para llevar. Lo único que tienes que pedir salsas estándar tales como mayonesa ketchup sal vingar, etc. éste por separado. Pero aún así no puedo quejarme.

Fuimos a este lugar el último fin; 4. Nos dieron una gran Pizza y la segunda cuando se recogerá en todos; 13 rebanadas para nosotros dos, amplio. Nuestros amigos nos dieron dos hamburguesas con queso, patatas fritas y 2 2 refrescos por £13. 98 ya que tienen una hamburguesa de comida ofrecen seis libras. 99, que incluye una porción de patatas fritas y una bebida.

Honestly, best take away burger I have had! I love the fact they locally source their meat from east Sussex. Also they donate money to St Wilfred's every Wednesday when you use the deal. The burgers are yummy and always arrive fresh and hot- as are the chips.

Excellent friendly service, well priced and excellent quality. Definitely try the homemade burgers all the meat comes from our brilliant award winning butcher Heaths in old town.

Bit of a shame really because my son has had pizzas there before and recommended it. I had not ordered before. So we ordered two pizzas for collection and my son asked for a "pepperoni stop". I know I said this because I was unfamiliar with the menu so knew no others. My pizza was a create your own. The guy said "special" so I said "yes". Unknown to me he heard "pizza stop special" which i found out was completely different to pepperoni stop. So we get home and notice the problem. I called back and another guy insists the first guy confirmed the pizza was what I asked for. I explained that it was the first time i'd ordered and i would not have known any other pizza names other than the one i'd asked for. It was obvious he didn't believe me and i had to ask if he'd let me speak because he was talking constantly and interrupting. He finally said come down in 12 minutes and i'll get your pizza ready, so i'll see you in 12 minutes. I said "no". He said "next time..." i said i don't think i'm going to use you again. He said "ok" and put the phone down....As it happens my pizza was good, but woe betide you if things go wrong...Expect aggression and defensiveness all the way!!!

My family ordered a pizza delivery and were charged once by card and also cash at the door. When the mistake was picked up the manager/owner of the shop was extremely rude and unhelpful, he acted like he could not care less and did not offer a refund straight away after I popped into the shop with both receipts. He said he needed to speak to the driver and would call me when he was less busy. I never received a phone call and when I called again the manager was shockingly rude telling me he was too busy and the driver had dropped the money to my parents and hung the phone up. There was no apology and no sincerity in anything he said. Seeing as our family and a lot of our friends live locally and order from here often it's a shame to say after the awful service from the manager I will not ordering from here again.

Despite this being a well known takeaway pizza place myself and my mate opted for burgers as we were in the mood for meat! If you're a burger lover you won't be disappointed. These are tasty homemade big burgers! I doubled up but needn't have bothered as a single 6oz patty would have filled me up! One of the best burgers I've had in a very long time! Why only 3 stars? Well we had to wait over an hour for delivery and I felt the side dishes we ordered; chips, wedges and onion rings didn't match the quality of the burgers. That being said it would not deter me from ordering again. As I said the burger was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable.

I've been using this place for years and keep coming back, The pizza dough is made fresh on the premises and, for me, it's simply the best in Eastbourne. Really like their home made coleslaw, too!The guys that run the place are also very friendly and we have a good rapport with them - I will keep coming back. The pizza is good value, especially when compared to the likes of Dominos or Pizza Hut. You'll find they offer deals on multiple pizzas or mid week offers, for example.They have also just started serving burgers and these are good but it's all about the pizza - give them a go!

New customer rang up to order a collection, as I didn't know the menu and was driving I asked for some help, the man on the end of the phone suggested "I visited the website. We I said I would need some help with the deals he tutted and and said "I don't know what you want to eat" I asked him why he was being rude and he said he didn't have time to go through 20 deals. So I ordered a large meaty pizza as one of the deals was buy one get one free, BUT only if you pay by cash. Otherwise it's twice the price... Didn't bother in the end, good manners are free...

My husband went here for pizza takeaway but noticed that they also sold gourmet burgers and rang me to ask if I'd prefer that and as hawaiian was available that was me decided as I love them!They do a meal deal, evenings too where you get a burger, chips and a can of drink for £4.95 - that is fantastic value.Three of us had hawaiian burgers and they were lovely - they also have cheese in, which I wasn't keen on but the others loved that.One of my sons had a smoked bacon burger and he loved that.The chips were perfect french fries and the tins of drink were ice cold and they do diet drinks.We will definitely be using this place again!

I have been using pizza stop since it opened in 1990, this place was the first ever take away delivery service in Eastbourne and the standard is totally consistent, many other pizza establishments have since opened in the town, but none of them can match the quality of this place, this is not a download a voucher online and get plastic fantastic pizza, this place is all about fresh ingredients and quality and unlike the other pizza establishments, this place does not use frozen dough, their dough is made fresh on their premises daily. If you like burgers, you will be in for a treat here, they make their own gourmet burgers and to put you in the picture how good it is, the meat comes from Eastbourne's premier, award winning Heath's butchers and its cooked fresh to order, well done guys, keep it up

Been going here for years, good pizza with a nice base. The burgers are amazing, don't take it away just devour it outside the shop! The meat comes from our local award winning butcher. As always when you have good ingredients you should get good food!

Our local butcher told us he supplied all the burgers for the Pizza Stop and they were very good. My hairdresser, who is next door to them, said they are great burgers, a friend asked if we had tried the burgers here because they were fantastic.....with recommendations like that we just had to try them.The place itself isn't inspiring, but don't let that put you off....the burgers are really really good!!! And they are excellent value for money, only £3.95 for the classic burger, cooked whilst you wait, to perfection. There is no seating here it is takeaway only (they do deliver as well) and they do pizzas...can't tell you about them. But burgers get the thumbs up and my highest recommendation.
