Pizza Express - Kings Lynn in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

we went here for my sisters birthday and was quite disappointed. We had to wait over an hour for starters which was just calamari and dough balls bare in mind the restraunt wasn’t busy but you would see them packing away for the takeaway orders and no one in the restraunt was receiving food. My sister has autism and was not great to keep her waiting for over an hour just for some rough balls. They service wasn’t good , no one really came over to make sure we was okay , got told the blonde waitress messed our ticket up when she said it was the machine. It wasn’t welcoming for us just felt judged from us not being happy as off the long wait for food. Wasn’t happy with the stay and service. Could have been 10x better. Didn’t feel prioritised after complaining as the wait didn’t get any quicker but was a shame and felt a waste of time.

I've only just recently been introduced to Pizza Express by my boyfriend (we ate in the Lincoln restaurant earlier this month) so visiting this one in King's Lynn yesterday with my dad was a first, and my dad has never been in a Pizza Express himself. Couldn't find fault with anything. Fast service, attentive and polite staff, and great tasting food. I had dough balls with garlic butter, lasagne and honeycomb cream slice. My dad had calamari, carbonara, and summer sundae. It was all very tasty. We will probably return at some point. I only wished I lived in King's Lynn in order to be able to order food via the app and get it delivered straight to my door at home regularly, if I'm being completely honest!

Superb restaurant, very professional hardworking hygienic staff. Food value for money and great tasting. Lovely clean and atmosphere very cosy. We will be back very soon.

We went to celebrate Mother's day, the food was first class, as was the service, thanks to Ethan. Can't wait to visit again 😀

My Fiance and I visited Pizza Express in Kings lynn on October 5th for a birthday meal. I can honestly say it was the best meal out I have had in years. I have very awkward dietary requirements (no gluten, onion or garlic amongst other things) for health reasons, so eating out is always a struggle and a worry. Our server, Ethan assistant manager, was SO accommodating, helped us out with ingredients and dietary/allergen changes. It made us feel so welcomed and relaxed - and I finally enjoyed a meal out, even with being so awkward. Our food was delicious, our service was amazing. Couldn't recommend this restaurant and it's staff enough! Will be dining here again for any evening meals out we have.

Good quality pizza and pasta, overpriced but Tesco clubcard makes that much more palatable. No beer on tap which is a shame, nice quick service and you know what you getting.

We have had many nice pizzas at Pizza express over the years but they have certainly gone down hill. It was obvious to us on our last visit that there is a lot of penny pinching going on. There was very little topping on our pizzas......there was a good 3 inches around the edge with no topping on whatsover and the rest of the pizza had only an ultra thin layer of sauce and the meanest sprinkle of cheese possible. We left feeling like we had eaten a lot of dry pizza base and not a lot else. The deserts no longer even come with a scoop of ice cream or a dash of cream unless you want to pay extra. In my opinion being tight fisted is only going to lose them customers. We ourselves had a conversation on where we could go for dinner next time instead of Pizza Express as our pizzas were so poor and unsatisfying. We did plan on complaining a little but like someone else has said the waitress did not even ask us if our food was ok for the first time ever....... maybe for a reason.

Had a really nice lunch here mid week. I had the duck pizza and it was delicious. The friend I had with me had the prawn pizza which he said was very nice. The lady who served us was really lovely Will definitely visit again

Fantastic staff from very helpful & friendly staff. Ordering from the gluten free menu was so easy & as food is cooked in front of you we could see everything being prepared. Excellent management skills from Danny & Ethan backed up by ever smiling & helpful staff. Was a busy night but we were happy to wait as food was so good. Really nice meal served by great staff, what more could you ask for!

We were able to book a table via the app and was assisted by the very professional, helpful and friendly Ethan in navigating our way around the rewards available and WiFi. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and the service, as we have come to expect, was excellent.

Well dough balls excellent as usual two pizzas were just warm if not cold seem to have been sitting a while before they were served to us service was excellent as always Pasta was good but disappointed with standard of pizzas and toppings were scarce picture is on Holumi bites which were soggy and soaked in oil

Had a family meal tonight, staff wonderful as usual. Meal very good. Enjoyed our visit. Gemma & Ethan are a delight to see every time we visit, making us welcome & appreciated. Well done to all the staff, keep up the good work.

Unable to book online we decided to visit and see if we could get a table. On arrival we were told they were fully booked but they would find us a table. Despite being really busy the service we received was outstanding. The quality of food was excellent. Special thanks goes to Ethan for his quality of service and attention to detail. This is why pizza express continues to be my favourite restaurant. It's very nice to see so many of the staff have worked there for a long time which makes every visit so personal and friendly. Well done and thank you very much.

The food was great but the menu had changed since our last visit and had less choice which was disappointing as there were a number of our favourites no longer on the menu. The service was slow as there were only two people serving but our waiter did the best he could despite doing everything on his own, including putting together and serving the sweets and making coffees ! This was the first time we'd eaten out after lockdown, we were impressed by the way the tables were spaced out, extra table on the end for staff to serve on. Menu and paid on app. Staff only interacted with you when necessary to keep it safer.I was glad we chose pizza express as our first eating out experience, we all felt safe and looked after.

I always enjoy a meal out at Pizza Express. This restaurant in Kings Lynn has a nice outlook on the Saturday Market place and is a historic building in its own right. Watch the pizza being made! I like that they offer the lighter pizza as well. Yummy♡

Great food, really pleasant service from a kind lady, unfortunately didn’t get her name. Looked after us and it seemed like many others, almost by herself, while keeping a big smile throughout.

I have never been out to pay for food with such terrible service. I actually burst out laughing at one point because I thought some one was playing a joke. We all felt very uncomfortable at times.

Eaten here many times, always good food and friendly service. Can get very busy but we've never been turned away or been left waiting long for food.

I’m not going to bore you with the whole story, but the food was very nice ( and I’m not a chain restaurant fan, so I was pleasantly surprised) however the service from the staff was just awful. Manager and waitress stood chatting ignoring eye contact whilst we waited over 20 minutes to order a drink, then they took half the drinks order and wandered off without asking everyone (there was only 4 of us, not exactly a lengthy process) We had to get the waitress to come back to complete. Food took a while to arrive but was very nice. Dessert was same experience as drinks. Waitress was distracted and didn’t really care at all. Wandered off mid order to talk to someone else. If the food hadn’t have been nice we would have complained and not paid. 2 courses for 4 people with a drink each £125. I think you should at least get a waitress/manager that can be bothered to ask if you would like a drink and if everything is ok, at that sort of price bracket. We will not be returning.

My wife and I had a great lunch here this week. My wife chose a pizza from the Romana range. It had a thin base with lots of topping, just how a pizza should be and I had the Lasagne. The food was great as was the service.

Went for a meal with friends & the pizza base had very little flavour & the tomato sauce tasted like tomato puree. I have had better from a takeaway place for £6.Pizza express has increased their prices to just under £15 for a Romano which is much higher than any of the other pizza chain restaurants. I am done with this restaurant & am not surprised that they are struggling to survive.

Greeted by miserable staff , felt an inconvenience for requiring a high chair for our little girl, found a hair In one of the starters, this was rectified about 20mins later with my partner finishing her starter then having to wait for me to finally get mine! Mains were good and tasty, but staff miserable and appeared not to want to be there ! One was fanning himself with a fan at the till for most of our time spent there... service extremely slow we had to leave before bothering with a dessert as parking ticket ran out !!by far the worst pizza express we have been to! Sadly Will not be returning anytime soon.

Usually come here for birthday celebrations and the like and we are never disappointed. Always a good atmosphere and friendly helpful service. Still true on this evening despite the restaurant being busy. The food is always good and tasty. It is always worthwhile having a side salad as the pizzas are a fair size. The Leggera pizza is an optional choice, smaller as it has a "hole" in the middle to accomodate a small salad. We had a nice bottle of Chardonnay and there is a reasonably exciting choice of desserts. There are parking options close by or can be walked from the bus or train station in 10 or less minutes.

3 of us went out for an evening meal for a night off from the babies. We had seen an offer about the bottomless doughballs with a bottle of prosecco so had already decided to take up the offer... however, when we got there the waiter didn't seem to know anything about it despite there being a leaflet about it on our table. Off he went to ask about it and he came back and said yeah that's fine, but you must only share them amongst 2 of you!we laughed and said fine, then he came back again and said before I give you your bottle of prosecco you CAN NOT use any other voucher with this. We laughed again and said fine... we felt he really didn't want us to have them. So eventually we got our first plate of doughballs, only 2 of us had the prosecco but 3 of us ate the doughballs... we asked for another plate... which took about 20 mins to come and when it did they were the tiniest doughballs we have ever seen. We finished them pretty quickly and asked for another plate to which the waiter replied "I've been told to say no because we have caught you sharing!". We literally felt like naughty school children and have never heard anything so pathetic in our lives. Nowhere on the leaflet on the table did it say you must not share, and so what if we did?! It wasnt like it was a table of 6 sharing a bottle of prosecco and doughballs. At first the offer seems good, but if you're going to treat your customers like naughty school children just get rid of the offer. Or teach your waiters about the deals and how to speak to their customers in a less patronising way. We didn't dare order a pudding for one and ask for 3 spoons incase we got told no again... we also had to ask for water 3 times before we actually got some. It wasn't even busy.

It's not on the menu and is much hotter than the standard pizzas they usually serve. Not much more to say about a chain but the quality is always good and the pizzas delicious. amusing selection of cold beers also.

Good to be back here. Much enjoyed another pizza. Worth giving them a mention. The service was good. My only complaint about this place (like so many of the chain), is that the stark decor does make for a very noisy experience. But this restaurant is within a historic building with exposed beams and ancient walls - so it does have its own character. Thank you.

Starter and Dessert very good but the main course which I have eaten in other Pizza Express was not up to standard. Its contents were overcooked. Chewy mozzarella and crispy pepperoni. Not much meat or cheese and hidden under salad. I expect better quality. Disappointed. Expensive for 3 pieces of each!!!

Lovely service and speedy delivery of food on a busy Friday night. The manager in particular was very attentive with a good sense of humour. The food was perfectly cooked and reminds me why I come back time and time again. My husband particularly liked the new still strawberry lemonade.

This is our favourite restaurant. We like atmosphere and ambience. Staff are usually good including their manager who is a permanent face there. New addition to the menu is chicken wings of high class quality. Starter is good addition too.

Can’t beat it.. never fails. Best pizzas are polla forza, calabrese & padana. Great setting too near market place.

Had dinner here with a local friend and it was pretty good. Had the hot diavola pizza and finished with the fig desert which was fantastic. Only disappointment was that the staff seem to disappear for long periods.

Visited Pizza Express on 1st February 2019. The food was very nice, Pizza Express is always a good choice for a good quality pizza. The service from our waitress was also particularly good. She was very pleasant and accommodating.

Large booking for a birthday meal, the food was lovely. Kids were very happy with their choices, including the gluten-free versions. They loved the gluten free dough balls. One of the kids salads came out with the dressing on, which we hadn't realised it had (they don't like dressing) and the waiter had it changed straight away without any hesitations. All of the meals were lovely.

Came here on a very busy Saturday evening, the restaurant was absolutely packed and we were a little worried as we arrived just after 6pm and we had a show just around the corner at the corn exchange at 7 30pm but we were seated quickly by friendly attentive staff and our drinks order taken. Great extensive menu and some fantastic vegan choices for my sister who’s recently turned vegan. I had the goats cheese, spinach and red onion pizza and it was so good! Ate every bite and it’s not a small pizza! Yum! The service was so good that we even had time for pudding, my sister had the vegan carrot cake which came with a soya latte, she said it’s the best carrot cake she’s ever eaten and especially the topping which was delicious. I had the strawberry and honeycomb cheesecake with ice cream and it was fantastic. We asked for the bill and it came quickly and we paid and left with plenty of time to get to the show. Can’t fault even one small thing. Will definitely be back to try the Christmas menu!

I recently visited with a few friends to celebrate my birthday. It was busy as to be expected on a Friday evening but we were greeted & seated fairly quickly. Every staff member seemed friendly & happy.

I recently went to Pizza Express with my friend one evening and had a really enjoyable meal. I wasn't too hungry so opted for the antipasto starter which comes in 2 sizes. It was lovely, fresh , light and beautiful crispy flat bread. Great tasting garlic butter and chilli type dip. Plenty of olives and pickled artichoke and small chilli peppers. It looked and tasted great and I enjoyed it more than the usual pizza. My friend opted for a ring pizza which had salad in its center and was 600 calories. She also had a mini pudding which came with a hot drink. A very good meal and service.

I visited Pizza express this evening with my wife and in laws for my daughters 4th Birthday , it’s her restaurant of choice and her menu never varies .... dough balls to start with garlic butter , margarita pizza for main and ice cream and babicinno (frothed milk ) for desert. I don’t consider it’s a cheap restaurant but the food has always been excellent on every occasion.

The Restaurant is deceptive from the outside. It is quite large and has a garden section to rear. The interior has many historic fixtures and fittings and is quite unique.

We arrived here as a stop to charge our batteries after a long drive, then heading onto Hunstanton.

My husband and I visited here last night, when being seated we explained to the staff that we were in a hurry so would it be ok for us to have our meal quickly. A waitress came over and introduced herself and said she would be waiting on us and she knew we wanted to be out quickly so make sure we go to her if we need anything. Then pizzas arrived and they were lovely, probably on of the best pizza express meals I have had actually and I am a fussy person. We were able to enjoy our meal and we were out early, so I highly recommend this pizza express for great customer service and pizzas!

I see my amazing wife has already beaten me to it but I want to say my own big thank you to the staff of Pizza Express Kings Lynn. we were in KL for a concert and were running a little late. We made the waiter aware that we needed to be gone by 7pm, he seated us near the serving area and sent one of their lovely waitresses over to us. We ordered our food and drinks and it all came quickly. Everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble for them. I highly recommend this restaurant. One small point to mention is that if you add your tip to your credit card payment the staff only get 75% of the tip, so take some cash along if you're a tipper.

Thank you to the team here for making our night. You were super friendly, great fun, very accommodating and even helped us book a taxi to head back to our hotel. We had tried to get in at the restaurants in the Quay area and were turned away as they didnt accept walk ins, we were feeling like the restaurant staff attitude in the area were a little snooty and decided to come to PE as its always a good meal (which it was) the staff here turned this night around and made it excellent. Thank you.

We went on a Saturday at about 3pm so there were only a few of other tables of people in there at the time. When we sat down, my sisters fork had old cheese on and when her drink came, the glass had pink lipstick on. When we told the waiter he kindly swapped them for her. Also we had to go and find the waitress to get our bill, despite the fact she had taken out empty plates and we had said we didn’t want anything else, and then we sat for ages waiting for her to bring the bill but she didn’t. And like I said, it wasn’t busy. Lovely food, but disappointing service and cleanliness.

It was a real mixed experience here. The food was quick and delicious, and the restaurant was near empty so it was quiet as well. Our male server was lovely, chatty and helpful, but the main server wasn't up to the same standard. The fork at my place was dirty so I asked for a new one and she didn't look at me or apologise, though she brought a clean fork quickly. She then delivered my drink in a glass covered in red lipstick. I mentioned this to the male server who apologised and immediately brought me a new drink in a clean glass. At the end, the female server asked if we wanted dessert- we declined, and were then left alone. Again, the restaurant wasn't busy, and it was clear we were done and waiting. After about 15 minutes we gave up and went to her to get the bill, where we were again kept waiting.

Very pleasant evening. We visit a lot of Pizza Express restaurants and this doesn't disappoint. Friendly staff and good food

I like everything about the Kings Lynn Pizza Express. The courtesy, service and friendliness is top notch. The staff remember my likes, dislikes and interests always.

Popped in for an early solo supper before a meeting. The 600 calorie pizza and the small pudding with coffee were both delicious and reasonably priced. However, the price of a glass of Sauvignon Blanc was extortionate. When the bill came and was over £25 I did a double take and checked it carefully and discovered that I had been charged £6.95 for a SMALL glass of white wine. There is no need for chains such as Pizza Express to be so greedy. An average bottle of wine contains around 6 small glasses which, at their prices, would make a bottle £41.70!!! Plain tap water only should I venture in again.

I usually visit the Norwich Pizza Express but today dined in Kings Lynn. Expected them to be full due to Mother’s Day but they had a few tables free so we’re able to seat my daughter and I. We both had starters and mains, I usually choose a pizza but today had the spaghetti bolognaise. This was really tasty although I expected spaghetti but instead it was with pasta tubes. Very enjoyable though and used a 2 for 1 mains voucher too.

It's been a good few weeks since I visited the KL branch of Pizza Express. Tonight reminds me why it’s definitely one of favourites. Great service, being friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended

My wife and I recently booked in at this pizza express, we were greeted by a friendly host who showed us to our table, he let us settle and then came back to offer is some drinks and the menu. We felt relaxed from the start, unlike some ,,,,,, well you know,,, those rushed style restaurants,,,, the ones you feel rushed(mention no names but it used to have "Fatty" in its name!).

Cannot fault the staff and food in Pizza Express King's Lynn. They are always very attentive. The only reason I haven't given an excellent rating is because they are a little bit more pricey than others!

We have dined here many times in the past and have always received good service and eaten tasty meals. Calling in on a early afternoon without booking, we were immediately welcomed and offered a choice of tables. Service appropriate throughout, we had the 3 course special which included by choice the leggera pizza with salad in the middle and is much lighter for me. The cheesecake dessert was also delicious. Drinks can be a little expensive but in saying that prices have remained steady in my perception for a while now.

We went here on a Sunday evening and was surprised how busy it was. Staff were brilliant. Ordered my pizza without onions but arrived with onions, the waitress apologised and I was happy to pick them off but the waitress insisted on doing another pizza which I took away. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back!

This place (like many in this chain) can be very noisy when they are busy - due to the nature of the (ancient) building. But all in all, it is worth it as the quality of food is good and consistent. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a celebratory dinner there recently and very much enjoyed the evening. We used "Tastecard" on this occasion and they were very helpful and it made for a very reasonably priced meal.

Often come here with friends and always impressed with the food, always tasty and good customer service! Only thing ild suggest would be moving the microwave packs of lasagne out of customer view perhaps!!??

We wanted a good romantic meal and that's what we got. We was able to sit where we liked and when we chose the table we had lovely lights on beams on us and the atmosphere was just lovely. The food was great and the staff were very lovely! We'll be coming back soon :)

Whilst on holiday in Hunstanton, we struggled to find somewhere to eat on our 4th night of our stay locally so headed into Kings Lynn. Received a warm and friendly welcome and brilliant service from the staff there. Food was delicious!

Normally when a restaurant is full service dips or staff arent as attentive. Not here all staff where friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Pizza was also spot on.

Pre booked table for 8.00 p.m on Monday evening and was surprised how busy the place was. We were able to choose where to sit. We were not rushed when looking through the menu, our order was taken by a most pleasant waiter, drinks arrived, then starters followed by three tasty thin crust pizzas, haven't tasted a pizza so delicious as the ones made here. A most enjoyable evening and will most definitely be back

I thought it was going to be a great lunch when the restaurant manager dashed outside to help me with a wheelchair and numerous shopping bags. We were then given a suitable table and experienced appropriate and friendly service throughout. Had not dined here recently so pleased to see a tweaking of the menu. Two of us had the Leggerra which if correct spelling (?) is great for not being too filling and leaving room for a dessert if required. (It is the normal pizza albeit limited choice but with a salad centre). Desserts really tasty but cost around £6. A nice bottle of Sicilian Chardonnay helped throughout!

It's been a good few weeks since I visited the KL branch of Pizza Express. I tried two of the new summer menu dishes. The cod cakes were brilliant. A little like arancini balls - served with a tasty leaf/rocket salad. The new pizza - can't remember its name, but it's the one with a cream corn sauce instead of tomato. It was lovely... with spicy and rich flavour. I rate this branch very highly.

Food very good, had the offer menu of 2 course for £11.95 and cannot complain. One party member is celiac and it catered for her as well. Could have had three courses for another £4 but unable to eat that much. Service excellent and food brought to table in good but not rushed time.

Was it busy? Maybe, but it took over an hour to get a pizza and a salad. The server couldn't believe we didn't order more. How much longer would that have taken?The food was ok.

This was a stop off for dinner, en route to the Norfolk coast, for a family meal. We were not disappointed, timing ti well with a quiet point in the day. We were served quickly and the food was hot and tasty. Perfect for a quick bite while travelling...

Visited here on Friday evening. It was busy but we managed to get a table. We usually go to Watford Pizza Express and the pizza there is always soggy - but we didn't know any different. King's Lynn Pizza Express is the best! The pizza is cooked to perfection with a crispy base. We were so impressed! Service great too. Thanks!

Visited for Dinner had some lovely food!! The pizza express dough balls are my FAVOURITE!! The waiter was lovely! (Didn't quite catch his name) but he was extremely friendly and helpful! Will definitely come back and eat again!!

Situated in the old Town Centre this is a smashing place to call in for a Pizza.The staff are very friendly and the Menu is the usual Pizza Express Fayre and with some lovely looking puddings!

Visited on the week night taking my girlfriend out, service was excellent and food was lovely. The best part was watching the manger running his team, when it was busy he helped the kitchen and then served, kept a superb motivation through his team. That man done a brilliant job and was one of the most nicest friendliest people we had met. Highly recommended

I had never been to this Pizza Express before, I went recently with some of my work colleagues and had a pretty good experience. Service was quick. Food was reasonably priced and arrived all together around 25 minutes after starters. It wasn't too busy when we went there. It was fairly empty to be honest. We went around 6pm time.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years but have not been for months and months - moved 40 miles away 2.5 years ago.Myself and 2 young daughters, where to go? It was quiet at 2pm, yesterday. Front of house manager? Served us quickly and we sat down to - yes a chain restaurant - food that should be the same in each of the restaurants and while we can not complain about other PE experiences there is something here we really like. Excellent food. Great staff. Especially the chef on the day - because it was quiet he let the girls make their own dough balls. Simply a kind and friendly man, simple gesture, made the girls day. Reliable pizza place with generally cheerful staff. Unusual exposed medieval brickwork on one wall. Can be slow at peak times.

As chain restaurants go Pizza Express seems to be "up there" in respect to quality and innovative menu ideas. The King's Lynn restaurant is my favourite... always busy, even though it's quite large. The staff are brilliant, both front of house and the kitchen team. They do seem to go that extra mile, willing to go off menu and make personal informed recommendations. Last night I tried the new Vapiano pizza, although I may have spelt that wrong. The creamed corn base in place of tomato sauce was inspired. And can a topping get better than including nduja, piquillo pearls and chicken. In a word ... no! I loved it and will be back next week!
