Pizza Express in Aberdeen City

Took a little over 45 mins after ordering to get our pizzas. It was quite a quiet time too. It was just the two of us and our 2 year old.

The best pizza express experience I’ve ever had. Tom Junior was the best waiter I’ve ever interacted with at a pizza express, extremely kind, helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back when I’m Aberdeen.

Always a good option to cover all the vegans, veggies and meat eaters. Yummy pizza, great service and a nice relaxed vibe.

At one time this was a great pizza restaurant, great food, fast service but now sadly they seem to prioritise deliveries over restaurant customers. Waited 40mins for 2 pizzas despite alerting our waitress that we were in a rush that night and there were only a handful of other customers in the restaurant. No longer Pizza "Express" - totally agree with another reviewer who said it should be renamed Pizza Slow. At least the pizzas are still lovely so I would go back only if I had plenty time to spare.

Be careful ordering online! This restaurant cancelled my online order with no explanation, leaving my partner and I with nothing to eat late on a Sunday evening. What really put me off was that I called the following day to discuss it and was given a very blunt refusal to do anything at all to make things right -"it's outside our control", "we haven't done anything wrong". Honestly, if you're in the hospitality industry you might want to try doing something to keep people happy when things go wrong. Not saying it was anyone's fault, but I'm less than best impressed.

We were were waiting more than an 40 mins even though we had bookings and had five hungry children. We were simply apauled . Other people came and went while we patiteitly waited for food . Delivery 🚚🚚 orders seem to be more important, join us and boy cott this chane , before you're next . Pizza express should be called pizza slow .

Was a lovely restaurant and the waiter with the blonde long hair and ponytail was excellent very welcoming and accommodating, but the staff need to be retrained on gluten free products, my son had the gf dough balls apparently but the staff weren't 100% sure they were gf and my son was back and fourth to the toilet most of the night afterwards. I dunno what has happened but need to be more vigilant on what they are serving thankfully atm my son only has an intolerance and not a full blown allergy otherwise could be a different review am writing

Eaten at Pizza Express a few times. The quality of the food and service has always been very good.

Visited for lunch on Sunday, food was great and the waiters/manager were really helpful sorting an app issue for me, will definitely pop in again when I'm next in the city!

Well known brand on many high streets, I do really like this one in Aberdeen. Relaxed atmosphere with attentive staff where any request is no problem, especially Beth, what an absolute gem! And her colleague who met me at the door but I forgot to ask her name. It’s the thing that makes a place, the staff! Thanks team 😎

What a nice experience tonight! Unfortunately I am away for work during valentines day. Oblivious until I realised that would mean me dining alone on a celebrated night for couples. AWKWARD! Put on my big girl pants and headed to the closest Pizza express (club app is awesome- lots of discounts if you are a fan) because its a easy favourite. Had a laugh with the staff regarding my table for 1 situation. Food perfect- classic pizza express quality. Service was great and attentive and everything as needed, with all requests met with happiness. Asked for a takeaway dessert as Its nice to have a sneaky treat before bed.... but mid snack I realised this was the note the server gave me..... how lovely. We had a giggle on my awkward dining experience, we talked about how being women it's always difficult being out dining alone. But this blew me away! So Niesa (hope this is the right name) thank you for supporting the lady on table 27 at approx 8pm. You are wonderful, thoughtful and a great champion of the pizza express brand! Hope they reward you well for the exceptional service. Happy valentines day!

Nice friendly staff. Food was decent for a chain. Compared to other Pizza Express outlets food was Okay. Empty plates though.

The ambience was great and welcoming. The waitress was friendly and suggested me to try new recipes on the menu. Food was piping hot and ingredients were fresh.

I ordered a glass of pinot grigiot blush ,no ice available. My son had a pint of lager,12.90 !! Two pizzas one margaritas and another Giuseppe olives and mushrooms. Bill was 43.50 odds. Can you justify that ?? Service excellent lovely waiting staff. Cosy atmosphere shocking prices .Athree course meal at Miller and carter 18.00 Soul prices similar. I won't ever be back for a piece of dough with toppings.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Decent food and always have a good experience here. There are colouring and puzzle sheets for kids as well as a hat for kids to colour and wear.

Pizza Express is always excellent. I have a taste for Diavolo, or American Hot. Nice wine at a reasonable cost and good service.

We've made a habit of dining there once a week with our baby. The staff is always nice, welcoming and helpful. The nice waiter remembers our favourite meals when we order. We love the food. I really recommend this place!

Am luat amândoi paste, am mâncat acolo: o porție era vizibil mai mică, iar cealalalta mult mai mare, cu precizarea ca sosul de la paste era crud. Pe urma am luat o pizza pentru acasă: in acest proces au fost implicate 3 angajate, toate 3 foarte nepregatite și fără nici un fel de experiența : una ne a luat comanda, alta a venit cu POS ul sa plătim, iar cea de a treia ne a adus pizza, o pizza foarte mică pentru care am plătit 11.95. Am rămas mai mult decât uimit, nefiind prima data când mâncam la pizza express. In concluzie: bucătar extrem de nepregătit, angajate la început de drum sau care probabil și au greșit vocația , ele nefiind capabile sa explice clientului ce înseamnă, cum arată și ce fel de comanda va lua acasă clientul . Nu recomand nimănui acest loc pizza express Aberdeen : GROAZNIC , dezgustător , dezamăgitor , neplăcut. De evitat

I Usually come here twice a month with my son on a Thursday and have a great experience and good food but 24th March we had a terrible experience, we arrived and the restaurant was very warm with heating on inside, the restaurant was unusually busy. We sat at our table and the waiter arrived and took our order, i was very warm and asked the waiter to please open the door for a little while, he ignored my request and i asked him 3 times more to which he ignored me! I asked him 1 more time and he snapped at me and said he was serving another customer but he had finished serving them. I asked to speak to the manager, she arrived and said would have to asked everyone in the restaurant if they didn't mind the door being open, they didn't so the door was finally opened for about 2 minutes then another customer said she was cold so the male waiter closed it again... His attitude was very rude and i felt very uncomfortable. And so did my 8 years old son.

We only had a limited time with four children and let the staff know when we booked. They were amazing! Food delivered quickly and they interacted with the kids. Sophia even ate her brownie without dropping any on the floor! Amazing experience all around

Staff were all very attentive, professional and friendly. Had a calamari starter that was rubbery and served in a strange cup sort of affair so avoid that. Pizza was very good👍and the Honycomb cream thingy (can't recall the right name) was damn fine. Just the starter that let it down for me.

Still the best of the Pizza Express Restaurants in Aberdeen, Saturday was quieter that usual, I asked and they said that takeaway has gone crazy, also I guess level 1 restrictions have something to do with it. I tried to book online but there were no tables, when I phoned they had loads of options. Don't trust the online system, I would call if you are keen to book.

Two households rule doesn’t apply in this restaurant. Their policy is one household per table and although under 12s don’t count, pizza express wouldn’t allow an under 12 to sit at the other table so the kids could sit together. Pizza express were also reluctant to sell us another bottle of wine at 7.35 as the curfew was 8pm even though that meant three adults drinking one glass of wine in 25mins (no problem!). Staff were great but was not impressed with the manager. I will support local businesses who are happy to take our business in future.

I haven't been here since the start of the year and certainly not disappointed! Padana Classic Pizza was just amazingly delicious and the white chocolate and raspberry dessert to follow great. Good efficient service. Glad to see standards are as good as ever.

Just picked up our takeaway from Pizza Express on Union street, 3 Pizza's and Large portion of doughballs, were so good. Definitely be getting another takeaway from there soon. Staff were great too. 👍🙂 Highly recommended

Very good selection of gluten free & vegan food! Staff is super nice, even gave us free starters because our pizzas took so long to take.

Small portion, high price , no wow

If you are looking for a quick bite to eat and love Pizza then you won't go wrong here. Love that they also have Gluten free options . Great service and yummy pizza.

Pizza express is ok but the service isn't great and its gone down in Aberdeen in my view needs to pull its socks up as the competition is better in Aberdeen these days!.

Lunchtime visit with grandkids as they love pizza.... service was reasonable but was let down with no coffee when asked about why the machine breaks down it just happens...The pizzas supplied were good and tasty but the portion of pasta had to be remade as the chef dropped the bowl... one disappointed child having to wait.. to their credit this was taken off the bill.Don’t think we will be going back as there is plenty of choice in Union Sq

Great service, pizza was perfect and serving was quick. Mozzarella garlic bread as a starter cooked to perfection. Pizza was Romana diavolo. Thin crust with perfect toppings, with a nice heat kick in. Tap water in a jug with ice and lemon. Can really recommend this place.

A fast food restaurant with good food and young waiting staff who would show up many so called better restaurant staff. Excellent place for a pre concert meal. Busy with a good vibe Cassie our waitress was FAB.

The food was superb. The waiting time and waiter service was excellent. I readily recommend this pizza Express. The one in union square could do with a trouble shooter to get it up to standard. That was an awfual experienc - re union square. No stars for them.

Great atmosphere and even better staff, if you want a "bougie" pizza experience, that's the place to go. Be prepared empty your pocket, their garlic bread and lemon wings are en pointe

Excellent place for Pizzas with reasonable pricing

No ketchup or mayo. You could at least have it for the kids menu. Overall the food is great but would be better with ketchup :)

The food was good, but there was no "Express" about it. It took 45 minutes to get our pizza.

After working all day in Aberdeen, called in at 20:30. Guy at front of house was welcoming and swiftly took my order. Gluten free Pizza came and was great. Well worth the visit. Thanks guys.

First meal I enjoyed in Scotland. If Scottish cuisine if not for you, you will probably enjoy the food they serve here
