Had lunch is here why we was on holiday from essex. ( southend ) The food was very nice the staff are excellent and made us feel very welcome

Greasy, small portions and very expensive. Guy serving was tidy, but when you realise he charged you over £7 for a portion of chips with cheese on, it takes the shine of the service. £7 for a battered cod the size of a whitebait. Go elsewhere and save your arteries and wallet.

Day trip to Tenby from Carmarthen whilst on a few days holiday! Best chips I have ever tasted, and can’t wait till we return for a holiday again in 2024. And people saying watch the seagulls, they never bothered us at all, pigeons a bit of a pest though wheee we sat to eat them.

Staff seem to be operating at 10% capacity waited about 40 minutes for takeaway with some anemic chips and the runniest curry sauce I've ever had in my life basically light brown water.

We asked for cod and chips, but the boss man kept calling it fish and chips. It was not very good and I doubt very much if it was cod! Lots of chips. The place is very clean and was a bit cheaper than competitors around the corner and up the road. Would certainly try somewhere else next time.

I've given 1star because it's not possible to give 0. The worst fish and chips I've ever had. Both my husband and I had haddock and chips. The fish was dry, with lots of bones and the batter was greasy and soggy. The chips were dry, hard scraps, with barely any actual chips in them. At £19.50 not even a cheep meal. Ate the only chips I could find and a small amount of fish, the rest went in the bin. Terrible, would never go back.

We've been going there for years, and never had a bad meal ever. The best fish & chip shop in Tenby without a doubt.

Nothing to shout about. Pretty standards. The lad behind the counter was quite nice and talkative. Fish was ok, nothing special.

Wow, Wow Wow. The Best chipy, No this is a proper Fish & Chip Palace. We had fish, chips, fish bits and ( I might get this wrong just according where your from) bits. Cannot fault the food, cooked to perfection plus good conversation with the owner. Not that expensive either, we payed more in Saundersfoot and it was a million miles away from this food. Nice one keep it up you fish quantity was excellent, not had bits like that since I was a kid, 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍👍👍

It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday lunchtime, and we did have to wait for 10-15 minutes to be served, but thankfully we did wait. We has 2 lots of fish and chips, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Stunning. Great fish, great batter, and lovely chips. Thank you, they made the day.

Just visited this shop and was refused food due to not wearing a mask . Explained due to a lung condition I was on the exemption list , then asked to provide proof of this . Explained I had left pass back at hotel and was refused takeaway food .

I had the battered sausage and chips, really nice chips perfect balance of crispy and fluffy and the sausage was also very tasty not too oily. Staff were very pleasant. Well priced considering the quality and location.

Popped in here first night of my holiday to Tenby to get my authentic experience of fish and chips on the beach! Had a perusal of the menu and then noticed a sign saying minimum £10 card payment which I wasn't going to reach, so I asked the guy serving if he knew where I could get cash. He asked what I'd wanted from the menu so I told him, and he said it'd be fine so that was great. Ordered a fishcake, chips, coleslaw and pickled gherkin to go. Fresh chips were cooked so a 5 minute fair wait. All wrapped up nicely for me, extremely reasonable pricing to be fair. Lovely service from the guy there that night, happy to chat. Dividers up for covid, no indoor seating. All appears to be in line with regulations and restrictions. Took my food out onto the Tenby South Beach Esplanade to eat on a bench, was lovely. Not greasy at all, plenty of salt and vinegar as requested. Great little chippy, happy to support locally.

My partner and i were passing and fancied fish and chips. The owners made our meal from scratch and only waited a short while.... the fish was huge and the batter light and fluffy while the chips were crisp and plentiful .... will definately return.... great service great food xxx diolch

The title says it all - we had tried an alternative fish and chip shop in the locality but these were the better offerings.

Were recommended to try Pipers and weren't disappointed! Yes, we had to wait a while for our order but that meant it was cooked fresh and the result was amazing - beautifully cooked firm white haddock with delicious crispy batter and piping hot chips. The owners were really friendly, chatting to us whilst the order was being prepared and all Covid precautions were being adhered to. My only reservation is almost a positive one in that the size of the portion of chips was enormous - far more than I could manage ...(I should have been less greedy and gone for the 'cone' size! ) The price was incredibly reasonable too - somewhat cheaper than our local Hampshire chippies. Can't wait to return when we're next in Tenby!

We got take out fish and chips from Pipers recently, and we can't believe how good they were. Hands down the best fish and chips we've ever eaten. The batter was perfectly crispy with no soggy bits. We ate them on the esplanade nearby and were transported to fish and chip heaven. The fish itself was beautifully white. If I'm ever back in Tenby, I will be making a beeline for Pipers. Well done guys!

Went here tonight - was horrified. They have the signs up but no idea of how it should work. Sign says 1 person in shop. 5 from 2 families in together and I was expected to get my order from a 3 ft wide corridor with 2 still in there. Manager laughed it off. It's these kind of things that will bring a second wave. So be my guest if you don't care!

Was in town alone, hadn't eaten since breakfast, just fancied fish & chips and it was pouring with rain, so dined in the shop.Absolutely perfectly cooked fish & chips along with a proper mug of tea.Immaculate clean, perfect service.Cant wait to visit again when I'm next down.

Mediocre fish and chips but appalling service by the man downstairs. Was polite and greeted everyone that came in but ignored me and was incredibly rude. Am not sure if this is because my skin is a different colour to everyone else's... My first one star review I have ever written but so angry and appalled feel it's necessary. It was raining and we asked if we could eat our food in doors even though they were empty we were told "no its extra to eat indoors that's why your asked if your eating in or take away" no apology! Wasn't the best fish and chips either hence just one star! Poor customer service! 👎

Was delayed in getting into Tenby for a fish and chip supper and the only restaurant we could find open was pipers, was so glad we did! The best fish and chips I have had in many years... the restaurant was clean and inviting and the staff were very friendly and jovial. However the star attraction was the food! The batter was so light it was was almost like a tempura batter but not at all greasy, the chips were small but vet crispy and I noticed that they fry all their food in groundnut oil (according to the signs). That would be a problem for peanut allergy sufferers but the tase was amazing. The fish was so fresh it was like trying fish and chips for the first time all over again...An added bonus was it is a licensed restaurant so I was able to enjoy a local Tenby beer along with my fish and chips, fabulous!HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU VISIT FOR EITHER SIT DOWN OR TAKEAWAY.

We dined in here twice, and although it is no frills, the food is yummy and great value for money. The chips are perfect and a huge amount and the batter on the fish was really tasty. We went twice and were served by two different chaps who were a credit to the place, they were so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this fish and chip shop.

Dropped into Tenby to visit the town and decided fish and chips were for us. Didn't check reviews but the place was pretty busy. We had excellent food with good service. Would happily go back again and pleased to recommend to one and all.
