Pipasha Restaurant in Cambridge

I must say I liked the food here. But the problem was, I reserved for two people and paid the reservation fee of £20, which is supposed to be deducted from the final bill. At the final bill time, I forgot to ask for this deduction and they also forgot this. And since then I wrote to them for a refund, but have not replied to my email.

The menu was very clear and explanatory for those with food intolerance issues. It made it so easy to order without feeling embarrassed and asking advice. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. I had the lamb bhuna. It was the best Indian dish I have ever had and we eat Indian food weekly.

Awful customer service. Pathetic portion sizes. Cold and oily food. Very disappointed, I spent £70 for basically half a portion of curry! Rang them up to get the reply ‘well that’s just how it is’.

if i could give 0 stars i would. Spent £70 on a takeaway only for it to be delivered half full. The tupperware was half empty, one poppadom for £1?! half a portion of rice. Rang up to ask why the portion sizes are so small and they said they make their portion sizes for one person? Sorry how do you know how much i can eat? Im fuming.

First time here and it was amazing! I have ordered home delivery, bit this was on another level and the staff are excellent!!

Didn't look fantastic on the outside but was friendly and welcoming. The food was fabulous we had quite a few different dishes all of them were really good. Definitely going back.

Good food and good service. Completely inaccessible though. There is a step to get in through quite a narrow doorway. The restaurant itself is also very narrow and the toilet while it is labelled as disabled would never fit a wheelchair.

I took my Mum and some other family members to this restaurant for my Mums birthday and had a lovely meal, the next day I was very ill and have since found out 2 other people were very ill as well, The 3 of us had shared a Lamb Husseini. This used to be my Favourite Restaurant

Food ok, but I am being spammed by the restaurant after I gave them my number.

Pipasha is out of town on the main Newmarket road leading to the city. Plenty of buses pass by. Not a large place but not too small. Clean and tidy good toilets. Doesnt look that good from outside clearly been at that location many years. The staff all seemed really nice and happy to engage in chat. The main thing the food...... Off the scale ! So many thing to choose . Interesting menu. We had main and starters and beautiful. We loved Pipasha and if lived in the area be there every night ! Easy to see why stayed open many years. 5 stars.

Had a very nice experience was visiting the area with my partner who took me here for valentine dinner, was given a rose and chocolates with bill staff went all out would definitely visit again

We love Pipasha! We always get a warm welcome from Abdul, Modu and the team and we're spoilt for choice with the menu. It's fabulous both to eat in and as takeaway.

This is favourite curry house. Every time I'm in Cambridge I come here with my kids. Amazing food, lovely staff, and the only curry restaurant we have dessert in - the kalfi is out of this world!

Me and my partner visited this restaurant for the first time, upon entrance we were greeted with a starter of popadoms immediately after being seated. We was also well catered for and the service including the staff was very on point. Would definitely recommend for anyone who haven’t experienced a fine dining Indian cuisine. 10/10

This is a wonderful restaurant. Welcoming with a relaxed, authentic feel. Service is first class- polite and efficient and the menu is not too extensive but great quality food. I would definitely recommend this place. Our 11 year old loved it too.

This is my number 1 curry place in Cambridge .Visited a few times in the past and have always had great food.It has a nice ambience with lower lighting like a traditional curry house , but with modern decor.The staff are nice and accommodating.

First time visit, but would definitely go again. Food was great and the staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive in an unobtrusive way. The restaurant was full so was a little bit stuffy. Being a cold evening no windows were open, understandably, they have AC but it wasn't on which they may wish to consider when full, but that is the only negative. Will certainly be recommending to friends and family.

I attended Pipisha with a friend on January 24th and we were both thoroughly impressed. Our food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient without being too attentive. The portion sizes were generous and the quality of our main course and all sides was very good indeed. A really enjoyable evening and we will not hesitate to return to Pipasha soon ! Neil M

Really tasty food. The curry dishes have a lovely thick sauce, which is not watery or too oily, and plenty of meat. The vegetable dishes are flavoursome and generously portioned. My favourite take away restaurant in Cambridge.

Excellent Food, friendly service and wonderful full people. I’ve never had a bad dish from the Pipasha and I’ve had most of the menu at one time or another. The Nomadic Lamb Shank is superb, and the Chilli Ponir is an often overlooked gem

Stunning. By far the best curry I've ever eaten in my life, keeps me coming back again and again. As someone who suffers with significant allergies Pipasha caters fantastically well for me, unlike so many other places. A local institution run by local legends :D

Love this place! Definitely my favourite curry house in Cambridge (and entire UK). When I couldn't decide between my two favourite dishes, years ago, they offered to combine them; and they still let me order this custom creation whenever I go!

There is no better curry restaurant in the UK. We have been going there for 20+ years and have never ever had a 9/10 meal, it’s always been 10/10. Chicken and chips, (Abdul and Modu’s style), is my favourite. Great people, great atmosphere, service and attention to detail. Can’t fault it.

Triple K chicken absolutely amazing dish!

We had a great meal on New Years Eve. I particularly loved the Coconut prawn and the lamb chops. The boys all had a Triple 'K' which they said was just the right amount of spice. We didn't feel rushed - just the right amount...

Have been going to Pipasha since it opened back in the day. Quite simply the best Indian food I've had anywhere in England. Whatever you choose from the menu will be fantastic. My personal favourites are the Lamb Tikka Jalfrezi and the Chicken Balti (depending on my mood). The owners are always welcoming and friendly and they are a great credit to Cambridge and the local community. I just wish I could persuade them to open another location nearer to where I live now (in California)!

Have been to Pipasha several times, and always leave satisfied and full. The most recent time was for a relatives birthday. Service was polite and efficient. My starter was delicious, and I could have happily eaten a plate of spinach and cheese samosas. My main is my always go to of chicken tikka masala, mushroom rice and plain naan. Portion sizes were just right, and the food was really tasty. Pipasha is well known for it high standards and good quality food. Whether you visit or order a take away you can see why. 5 stars all round. Keep up the good work 👏

Since moving here from the US in August, my husband and I have gotten pipasha take out at least 2x a week! It is amazing every single time and the service is so friendly and fast. The food is worth every penny as I end up getting two meals out of each dish. I couldn’t recommend enough!!!

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered out of town, which turns out is in a location they wouldn't normally deliver too. As it had gone through the system they honoured it, & boy am I glad they did! Food arrived hot & it was absolutely delicious. Thanks to all of the team at Pipasha! :D

Theres only 1 word.. PERFECT... I came down from the northeast to work. Stumbled into this lovely atmospheric restaurant.. I do class myself as a curry guru really, and must admit, the food, service and ambience was just perfect.. really recommended...

Have visited here so many times in the last few years. Never once had any bad food or even had bad service. It’s always perfect 10/10 all round.

Fantastic place, amazing service, incredible food. I asked the waiter what he would recommend, he asked me a series of questions about what tastes I like before recommending me one of their house specials the ‘Korahi gosht acharia’. This turned out to be the BEST curry I have ever had in my life! I would highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back for it again. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is incredibly tasty and fresh.

Been here two weeks on the bounce here with work and each time has been a fantastic experience. Great food and an even better service. Jish has been fantastic and put a smile on our faces every time we visit. Looks like we will be coming back next week!!!!
