Always a great experience. Fun ordering the items, food is always fast, and we enjoyed everything. Highly recommend the fried chicken bao buns. Dim sum was great as always. Will be back soon!

Spend £ 70 ish per person and the food wasn’t even that good enough. Just go to other places don’t waste your money and time here

Food was nice. It was very different cuisine that I’ve never had. But it was tasty.

Dinner last night was disappointing. The place was far too hot. Acoustics are terrible - it was by no means full but we had to shout the hear one another. Servers were sullen and not especially helpful. Food was so-so but I can buy my own frozen dim sum from Wing Yip for a fraction of the overpriced offerings here. Definitely not worth the £160 bill for two people in my opinion. Not likely to be back when there are so many other better options on St Katharine Docks and nearby.

Unlike other times this experience (at Ping Pong St Katherine Docks) was horrible. Talk about bad customer service. Rude and slooowwwww is the best way to describe the service. We arrived at 7.40 pm on Sunday and were tired and hungry. Ordered food within 5 min of arriving. Here is the summary of our experience - Ordered 2 seaweed salad - they gave only one. The other was 12 min later upon asking - Ordered duck spring rolls for my daughter which arrived 40 min later (she wanted this for starters) - requested chilli oil for 2 of the adults and the waiter was very reluctant to bring the second small plate of chilli oil. Then she came and informed that if we really like it, Ping Pong sells it to take it home but still didn't get us the second plate. Had to ask another waiter to do so. Black Prawn dimsum is not part of the lazy dimsum anymore. Neither is Pork xiaolongbao. The waiter then just stopped serving and we had to literally find a waiter around. Thunk the staff was short. Moreover, 2 of our favourite have been removed from the lazy dimsum menu. After this point everything was taking at least 20 min after ordering. We were there for around 80-85 min and most it was waiting. We left tired, not satisfied and very upset for the service that we received. we booked for New Year's Eve. On arrival, we were asked if we had been before (no) and then were not explained the menu and how it worked. after ordering we were told it was too late to order from the Sunday menu deal that everyone else in the restaurant was ordering from so we paid 3 times as much as everyone else. The food was ok, nothing special and the service was curt and seemed to not want to be there ... would i go back, obviously not, why not look after your customers?

The food was well overpriced and not that amazing. The place was extremely loud and nearly impossible to have a conversation. I wouldn’t go back there and wouldn’t really recommend visiting

The senior staff member exhibited unfriendliness, creating an awkward atmosphere. Although the food we ordered arrived promptly, the portion of curry sauce accompanying the chicken katsu and tofu katsu was insufficient. We found the dumplings to be tasty. When we requested extra curry sauce to prevent the katsu from being dry, it took them a while to bring it, resulting in the food becoming cold. Additionally, the provided curry sauce, even after the request, was still in a tiny bowl and remained inadequate. The soup dish lacked flavor, and despite having enjoyed Ping Pong in the past, we have decided not to return based on this experience.

I ate here on 13 November; was feeling absolutely rotten and was warmly welcomed inside even though it looked impossible to remove the tissue from my streaming nose. The food came quickly - was piping hot, and the chicken noodles in particular were welcome respite (as much as I could taste with no sense of smell!) I wanted to leave this review as there was one young woman, a trainee whose name I believe started with a C - I promised I'd leave her a review as her service was so exemplary. She was kind, genuinely thoughtful (not the standard, offhand "Oh, how's your food going?" - her level of care was "I can see the sun's shining onto your table, would you like to move so it doesn't get in your eyes and bother you?") and constantly buzzing around all the tables in her area. I'm so sorry I've forgotten your name, but you were truly wonderful and I hope you go far in this business! All the best, Lila

Great place for Dumplings and Bao! The prawns here are really good. The wait staff were very helpful and patient with us, overall a great experience! Unfortunately I had to remove 2 stars because of the classic guilt-based service charge. Any restaurant that automatically adds a 'tip/service charge' loses my approval. A tip should be my choice, not imposed on me and reliant on my guilt to pay it.

Mediocre food, an odd menu and really poor value for money. There is amazing dim sum in London and this is not it.

All you can eat dim sum on Ping Pong's lazy Sunday offer. Decent value and a good opportunity to taste a range of dishes.

I recommend making a reservation for dinner at this location as it seems to be popular and seating is tight. Fortunately my friend and I were able to be seated without a reservation and with a minimal wait. The hostess and server both enquired about food allergies and brought a list of dishes that was suitable for different types of allergies- very helpful! We were advised to order 5 or more dishes - tasting menu style. We had soy marinated chicken skewers of with smoky orange sauce, crispy duck spring roll with hoi sin sauce, char siu pork bun, pork & prawn siu mai and spicy chicken dumplings. All of the dishes were delicious. My favorites were the spring rolls and chicken skewers. The pineapple, coconut, lemon lime lychee mocktail is refreshing - a must try.

This review is specifically for Andrea! What a wonderful host! Not only was he efficient and accommodating with our booking, he arranged for a hand written birthday card and two complimentary treats for my Goddaughter as it was her birthday! I hope to hear that he is well rewarded for his fantastic customer service! Food was tasty and good value. The buildable Boa buns were great and the cocktails are so enjoyable. Thank you!

Came here for lunch one day in the week. It wasn't that busy and there were plenty of tables available. The menu had a large variety of dishes to choose from. You select which you'd like on a printed form on the table. The dishes we chose were good. However we slightly over-ordered. The waiters' recommendation of 5 dishes for two was a bit much when one was a large portion in itself (the Chicken Katsu). But otherwise no complaints.

Best Dim Sum in London!!! The flavors are rich and satisfying. You get to try so many different ones, as they are 3pieces each, and not expensive at all. We had maybe 9 different types, and enjoyed them all. Also, the jasmine lilly tea is really good: Watching your jasmine bloom in your teapot is a thing of beauty. I hear it's half off if you go before 5 pm, but I don't know how true it is. The service was good: we walked in on a Friday evening without a reservation and were promptly seated. The host offered to store my small suitcase, which was really sweet. Within 10 minutes of sitting down, we began receiving our food and drinks. I think the idea of marking your order on the menu was really cute. I enjoyed the experience. The location is great, offering nice views and allowing you to people watch. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and vibrant. I definitely will bring my friends back here.

Dined at this establishment today and was met with a vibrant and loud ambiance, which may not suit everyone, especially those in search of tranquillity or those with ADHD. The cuisine was notably hot and flavoursome, with the fried chicken and dim sum standing out in particular. Giving it a well-intended 5 out of 5 stars. While the food was delightful, the location right by the marina does come with a premium price tag. Tables are rather closely packed, and one has to mark their choices directly on the menu. A minor gripe was the noisy chairs when moved across the floor. The staff were truly cordial and accommodating, though there was a small hiccup when my left arm got sprayed with cleaner during a clean-up. While the staff could check in a tad more frequently for refills or general satisfaction, it doesn’t detract from their overall affability. A good dining experience, albeit with a few nuances.

Came for lunch Friday and the waiter Conor and waitress Portia gave amazing energy and the food and drinks were sensational. Would 100% recommend.

On Saturday Conor was an amazing waiter, rosie also was a great help. He seemed stressed but he was nothing but attentive and amazing.

Food is not authentic at all. Services is poor and service charge is 12.5%!

Good Dimsums and sticky rice bowls. Great place to hangout on the docks.

Would not come back to this place where the food is over priced and it’s not true Asian inspired at all. The noodle is like a pasta pretending to be Asian. Dumpling is skinny and the sticky rice is miniatures of the original. Service is slow like a turtle despite the restaurant is only 1/3 full. We kept calling the staff for attention but the bill surely comes quick. This is not the place to go if you’re really hungry & thirsty for true Asian cuisine.

We booked and visited after a recommendation from a friend and we were so happy we did! There was plenty of choices and the staff explained everything really well; we were able to choose a great selection to try from and enjoyed all of it. Definitely would recommend if you like little plates, dumplings, gyoza and bao buns!

Wow! I’ve always loved the sport of Ping Pong, but it turns out I love the restaurant even more! My girlfriend and I came for our one year anniversary, and we could not have been more impressed by both the food and the service. Portia was our primary waitress, and she was absolutely divine - no request was too grand, and she truly made our evening special! Thank you so much Portia :)

A big ‘meh’. Waiting 10 minutes to be seat. After 5 min a waiter told me : hey my manager will arrive soon for you. Never arrive and at the end the same waiter seat me. The restaurant is kind of a Chinese tapas. Really strange but I never been there. At the end I took a portion a broccoli with the special menu worth 14,95 a glass of wine and a iced lemongrass tea. Broccoli 5/5, wine 5/5 and iced tea 5/5. But the main was strange and I try hard to understand what I eat as no one presented me the plate. Service was practically absent, no waiter come to check with me. Really disappointed. I’m not going to be back and for 30£, on my opinion there are thousand of better restaurant outside there.

Food: The food was fine but there were some really high highs and some really low lows. Highs - the beef gyoza, the noodles and the katsu curry. The lows - the chicken xiaolongbaos were stuck to the paper and it was really difficult to pull out... The shaomai and char siu baos were acceptable and the rest were just ok. Service - Unfortunately, this is where me and my fellow diners expected better. We got asked to sit outside which is no big problem as we were a walk in table. However, the issues started to rise when we spent at least a solid half hour to 40 minutes waiting to be served and without an online ordering system it was ineffective. We felt that we more or less forgotten by our waiter. It also took a very long time for us to get our food and my other friends to get our beers as well... As we felt an extended prolonged wait. I had told the waiter that I had a buckwheat allergy just incase as it can be pretty common in South East Asian food, but he didn't try to make an effort to figure out what it was and just stood there confused and didn't make an effort to ameliorate the situation. We understand that a Saturday night service can be very busy and take a while to serve up the food. However, it probably may have been a suggestion to tell that to our table as it took a very long time and we had to take the initiative multiple times to get our food and we saw that a table that ordered later than us got their food faster. It was only very late on that a server told us the kitchen was backed with orders, but this should be done much much earlier in the service and not extremely late on. Again, we understand that food can be delayed due to a schedule but we just didn't appreciate the fact that there wasn't any updates in regards to when it will arrive, or the fact we felt that our server just entirely forgot our table or was way too busy that night. It could be a lot better. The only one saving grace on the service was the waitress who I unfortunately forgot to get the name of who did a wonderful job in stepping up and making sure that we could get our food and be updated on the situation. Atmosphere: Due to the service, we also felt that the atmosphere was dampened as well. It was fine, and a good night to sit outside. It's not particularly spacious but it's not the worst. Overall, this wasn't a good experience and compared to the other branch in Waterloo, this was a disappointing experience.

Lovely food, cocktails and attentive waiters

My friend and I went for bottomless brunch here last weekend, and we had a great time. Good variety of food for different dietary requirements, and very friendly and attentive service - I will definitely be visiting again

Lovely spot to grab dim sum! Good selection for vegans too. It’s a slightly pricey treat but they do have some specials that go for a reasonable price. The service was perfect, specially from the lovely Henok!

A short quick lunch in a small Chinese restaurant. Especially the Ping pong crispy chicken was very tasty. We were pleasantly surprised.

Portion sizes are small and take a while to arrive. Chicken Noodles felt like a spoonful of dog food mixed with big soggy noodles that are impossible to eat with chopsticks. Ordering system is atrocious and not worth the novelty (it's just a menu where you tick what you want, but we ticked something twice to order two but instead got one). Service was really poor, we were never approached by any staff to ask if we were ready to order, and like I mentioned above, they got our order wrong. We won't be returning.

We tried the interesting dim-sum afternoon tea concept. While we liked the savory selection, we enjoyed the sweets and the drinks less. I would probably try just to order dim-sum a-la-carte next time. The service was friendly. It didn't stand out, atmosphere/food/drinks wise, but it was not overcrowded and had long opening hours which was nice and convenient on the other hand.

The food was good if you want dim sum but I wasn’t really blown away by anything. The service was okay verging on good, but again nothing special.

The place is great and well locat but the food is overpriced and not that good. If you are looking for a great dimsum restaurant where you ended full keep looking. I order two small chirasu bao and 3 xialongbao for 16£.

Really enjoyed the food, I'm not a connoisseur of dim sum, but tasted pretty similar to dumplings etc that I've eaten in China. Service was friendly and good. Pretty happy that all the more conventional places nearby were full, give it a try! Just order the preset selection from the top of the menu if you're overwhelmed by the choices...

Amazing brunch, great value for money! The food was brilliant, accommodating for gluten free and vegetarian! Service was great - shout out Paul! Drinks were strong and flowing. Great dj - would definitely recommend and return!

Amazing late lunch! I came in around 4 o’clock and felt immediately welcomed with Rosie the manager 😁 she give us the best table and then we were served by the lovely Larissa who gave us the best service ever, and finishing by the manager Ginger ! Definitely will be back!

Food was awesome. Bit I wouldn’t come back here because of service. Noodles and dim sum were wrong order so everything came at different time. And drink came when food was over. So I had gulp the drink down just to finish it.

I Always visit when in London, a highlight for me.

Food was delicious. But portions are tiny, just not enough of it. You're paying adult prices for child sized portions. In hindsight should be expected given the touristy nature of the area. Customer service was terrible. Seated at our table for 6 people. Then no one came to our table to take our order for at least 30 mins. Had to get up give our order to the male server. Props to ginger and another lady for prompt service once I had done this though.

I asked the waiter to clean the table but he did not bother said it’s just plants ,was not a good start ,dumplings at happy hour were just 3 dumplings in a pot maybe that is why they were half a price .

We have enjoyed the Lazy Sumday formula, and I was really surprised: good dimsum and good service ☺️ would def recommend it on Sunday night!!

To set context - I am based in Asia and have been lucky to have dine in some of the best dim sum restaurants in the region. So, anyone who is coming to ping pong should not expect the same. we had the lazy sumday. food was average and many items on the menu were not available. service was good and location lovely.

Went for Monday half-price Happy hour menu. Top quality as always - love the HarGau, Prawn and Chive dumplings... Lychee and roses gin cocktail was nice too

Cuisine un peu cher pour ce que c'est. Le service est rajouté en plus de ce que l'on a consommé et ce n'est pas indiqué. Donc faut le savoir. Le service est rapide, c'est assez bien rodé.

Second time that I come in here, and although the food was good, I waited over 20min to get a bottle of Coke Zero, and 30 minutes for food. Felt like giving up and cancelling it all. Makes me not want to attend again. Managers really need to work at speeding up their services.

Super tasty - just what we needed after a long day.

Het was echt een slechte ervaring. Oprecht nog nooit zo slecht uit eten geweest. Het ziet er binnen oud en vervallen uit. Toen we de kaart kregen moest ik zelf aangeven dat we de all you can eat optie wilde doen. We keken op het menu en letterlijk van de 15 gerechten waren er 10 niet te bestellen want niet leverbaar. Geen andere opties dus toch niet voor de all you can eat gekozen. Vervolgens bestellen we cola. Kon niet was ook op. Vervolgens de gerechten bleek de kip ook op. Echt de halve menukaart kon je niet bestellen. Toen kreeg ik gyoza met een haar er op gatverdamme. Ik heb dit aangegeven en de oplossing was het gerecht van het huis. Met de rekening klopte dit de eerste keer niet en moest ik opnieuw aangeven dat ik het gerecht niet hoefde te betalen. Vervolgens neemt personeel de rekening mee en komt 15 min later langs lopen met de vraag. Heb ik jullie geen rekening gegeven? Opnieuw alles uitgelegd en de rekening daarna pas weer 10 min later gekregen (het was niet eens druk) al met al echt een super slechte zaak!!

Leider mussten wir sehr lange auf die Bestellung warten und die Kellner waren sehr chaotisch. Auch das Essen konnte uns nicht zu 100% überzeugen.

Dim sum is not bad and the dining area is nice. It is on the expensive end for dim sum, so it’s only worth it if you value the nice environment/location.

Spent all Sunday afternoon here enjoying the Lazy Sunday deal. Amazing service, our waitress Portia made this whole experience even better; she was so attentive and kind. By the far the best ping pong branch in London. I will definitely be returning!

Lovely food and drinks enjoyed myself.

Service is great. But it's quiet during lunch time, not sure about the busy time. Location is good, nice view. Dim sum is not good, definitely not authentic Chinese version. For example, Shanghai Xiaolongbao tastes like reheat from frozen food. It's a shame. Beef soup noodle is not bad but a small portion though.

A great deal with the Lazy Sumday (all you can eat with a lot of different dishes on Sunday). They have amazing vegan options, especially the fried chicken, the vegan bun and the spicy steamed dumplings. Will come back on my next visit to London!

We went for dinner to Ping pong. Food was absolutely delicious like always but 1 star for customer service as first of all our half food arrived quickly and we had to wait very very long for the other half to arrive on our table. The boy who was serving us was good he apologised also for food coming late with which we were fine but later when our other food arrived a waitress started picking up things from our table while we are eating then we said to her we haven’t finished yet (she picked up when literally we were eating from that plate)she didn’t bothered to say sorry and left it then later that same girl while getting our another portion of food just banged the dimsum box on table and left rather than serving it or keeping the plate nicely…it was very rude behaviour i feel the restaurant should teach their serving staff some etiquettes else should shut down the restaurant if they are in too much of rush when serving people.

We went for a bottomless bunch on the 28th of January to celebrate my and a friend of mine’s birthday. When we arrived the music was so loud that we could barely talk with each other. Our table was booked at 3:30pm and have not been served until 3:48pm. When we finally have been served, the waitress brought 1 bottle of Prosecco for 8 of us! It was not even enough to fill up our glasses and we waited for the 2nd bottle another 12 minutes!!! This is how the whole 1.5hours went so by the end we asked to bring 2 bottles. We asked for water 4 times before they finally brought some to the table. I don’t often write 1 stars but the service was awful! We have been ignored, the serves was unacceptable! Especially seeing another large group next to us being looked after… In addition, one of my friend has mushroom allergy so we asked for the allergy list. I scanned the QR code and a list that came up is a nightmare to read from your phone! It took almost 20 mins to find the items on the that list and scroll to the other end to see what it has. Please consider a more user friendly way to check allergens. When I asked the waitress where it is on the list she was just pointing that it is there, I need to look for it…. I worked in hospitality and I know that she wasn’t entitled to advise on allergens however to show where are the items we are having or bring a paper version of the list would have been nice. The food was nice but the whole experience was completely ruined by the lack of care and service. Never again!

Came here for the Sunday special of dim sum all day. It was great - there is such great value in this offer and the food is really tasty. The staff is also very friendly.

Visited for a Chinese New Year lunch - food was delicious and the service was excellent, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a simple, tasty lunch!

Just had very mediocre dim sum, slow service, 3 staff waiting, not even busy and all too busy chatting at the bar area. Terrible customer service not friendly at all.

Food is fairly expensive given the portion sizes. The staff was nice.

The food was affordable. Very tasty. I recommend the prawn toast and spring rolls. The prawn rice was unfortunately a let down, I thought I would’ve been given a bigger portion. Had an absolutely lovely experience at Ping Pong just before their Happy Hour came to an end! From the welcoming atmosphere and good service to the efficiency and delicious tasting food, there were no faults in the visit and we all left with satisfied stomachs, looking to return again!

Always a great place to eat with fantastic cocktails. Lovely setting where after your meal you can go for a lovely stroll along the docks.

Went there for happy hour after work with my friend. Good value for money during happy hour. The staff were great especially Ginger the manager, he took fantastic care of us all evening, very friendly & attentive.

We went there as a group of 7 for Sundays brunch. Some of us have chosen the Cocktail option, some the Prosecco one. The cocktails came in big carafes with a lot of ice. But after all it was a lot to drink. Same of us had the Prosecco option (big bottle). The food is also great. Many options and a kind and fast service. They are also having a lot of vegan options, which is quite nice for groups with meat eaters and vegans. I can highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Only con (but that’s a pretty common one): Since it is very busy there, you will be asked to leave after exactly 90 minutes.
