Pier Fish Bar in Greenwich

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Extremely expensive, felt thoroughly ripped off and three of us left. I really don’t know what was inside the batter.

Regarding Pir fish and chips shop in Greenwich I would never go back to this restaurant because on the day of visit of purchase a potion of chips, the chips was over cooked but what’s worse was the chips was cooked in black oil which means the people did not changed the cooking oil, when I saw the chips, put in the paper, I saw black oil on the chips, before the young girl Wrapped up the chips and then I can smell a bad smell coming from the chips, I paid £6.25 for this, I ended up throwing the whole thing in the dust bin, reason why, I am not taking a chance of getting poison from this place, not just that the restaurant looks dirty, this place should be put out of business, these people don’t know what they are doing to people health, i have been to different fish and chips restaurant but i never suspected to be this worse

Awful. I don't expect this place to be open for business when I am next in Greenwich. It has plummeted down hill! Automaton girl at the counter, no individual menu, no plates (boxes), wooden cutlery, no tea. In their defence, the fish, (haddock and cod), was lovely, the chips, no. Then on leaving, you shut your box and put it in the bin, that is if the automaton girl has not got her leg in it pushing down the contents

I've been here many times with friends in the past few years and always had a good experience so it is very sad that it it has gone downhill so much since Covid. I'd heard from neighbours that things had changed for the worse but thought I'd give it a go anyway when a friend and I were looking for a quick meal. The two young members of staff were offhand to the point of rudeness and stood looking bored on their phones. The food took a long time to arrive, considering we were the only people in there, and when it did it was literally inedible. The chips must have been reheated in old oil and were utterly disgusting. The fish was also grim and the whole thing served in containers rather then plates, even though we were seated. It is the only time I can recall leaving 95% of the food anywhere and walking out. We explained why and the woman just shrugged, could not have cared less and just muttered something about sorry it wasnt to our taste. I deliberately didnt ask for a refund to see how they reacted and that was as bad as the food. The sad thing is that the guy who managed the place in the past did such a great job to keep it alive during shut down. Maybe if he is still there he should install CCTV to see just how his staff behave when he's not around. This should have had a 0/5 if that had been an option.

overall the portions were huge but I wish the chips were hot as they have been sitting in there for a while.

I work locally in Greenwich and suggested to my work colleagues that we go to Pier because it was close to the office where we work, what a BIG mistake. The assistant at the counter was unbelievably rude, he has no manners at all, it was like we were doing him a big favour to enter the shop, waited way too long for take away service , considering it was lunch time on a weekday we all expected the food to be fresh however it was very greasy and oily. One of my colleagues approached the man and asked if they have toilets and his response was "What , at the back " in an incredibly rude way. When we arrived back in the office we told our other colleagues about our experience and they all seemed to have similar experiences and stated that they would never ever go back . A far better Fish and Chip shop is literally 30 seconds around the corner called Jack the Chipper, went to this place the next day and wooooow what a difference. AVOID Pier fish and chips in Greenwich at all costs unless you enjoy the rudest service ever and absolutely crap food.

Got fish and chips here for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. I ordered 2x fish cake and chips and a can of coke, paid £8.85 which I thought was quite a lot and when we sat down to eat we realised we’d only been given one fish cake so really was overpriced!! Oily undercooked chips not crispy and agree with other reviews that service is not good. Man serving has an attitude and said to me ‘why go anywhere else and get crap food’? - I think he thinks his fish and chips is better than it actually is! Won’t be returning and will find another chippy in Greenwich - one that has friendlier service and gives you what you order and pay for!!

We ate in on Sunday 13/12/20 and paid £10.50 for basic fish and chips with a can of ginger beer and a small (additional charge of 30p) tartar sauce and mayo sauce each. Food was good enough but seemed a bit pricey to be served in a box. we went for a stroll and returned to ask of we could use the loo and were refused on the basis that its only for customers, bit disappointed with the hospitality, we weren't aloud to uSe the loo! Seemed unnecessary considering they weren't busy. Food could have cost less considering there were no sides, tasty all the same.

Great, friendly staff, delicious fish and chips, good value and service with a smile. Would highly recommend.

I have come in the chip for years now. I was born in Greenwich. But recently I havent really wanted to come in because of the miserable staff. I came in tonight hoping it might be alright but i was very disappointed with girl on the til. She is literally putting comstumers off. I wont be coming back in there until she isnt there. When she isnt there its ok. The other staff to be alright. But the one you have at the front is a put off. Sorry. The food is good.

Just thought we would grab a quick bite to eat on our way home from london. And when I say a bit it was just that smallest cod I've seen in years thought it was sardine and the chips I thought were crisps they offer salad well a rabbit would have got the hump with what they give you? The waitress was a mixture of kill bill and a smack head. I knew it was a bad start when they had no rock th microwave the chicken wings I would have taken a picture but the portion was to small. Avoid unless your not really hungry of to Macdonald's now for something to eat

Best chips in Greenwich ♥️! While being stuck in a horrible job, this place was my regular chippy for just over 18 months. I would go there for lunch every Friday to treat myself to chips after another difficult work week. Since staff were always friendly and cheerful and the chips always very tasty, having a quick chat and chips was some times the only silver lining of my week. Therefor I want to leave 5 stars because of the many times the staff and chips of The Pier have cheered me up. Thanks!

I tend to use this place for a decent late evening fish or sausage and chips after spending the day in London, although I have at times had a sit down meal indoors occasionally. The food is fine, and good value. Service is friendly and efficient.

Asked for gravy and chips, but they had no gravy. One of the guys ran to Tesco to get some bisto! Not ideal but nice to see they’ll go out of their way to give customers what they want! Slightly inconvenienced by it being cash only, but there are cashpoints near by so no biggie

As northerners we know our chips from our elbows and despite all the negative reviews we decided to grab a bag of chips and scraps as we strolled around the banks of the Thames one fine sunny evening.A fantastic potion size of great quality chips with lashings of tasty crispy batter scraps on top,heaps of salt and vinegar made this the perfect romantic meal for two on the go.

I really enjoyed my Plaice in this restaurant. The chips were lovely and I’m not sure why people have marked this place so low. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I’d love to visit again 😃

Think they buy the rock bottom potatoes that all the other chippies have rejected. Full of black and brown patches and furry holes. Then they fry them in grease which must not have been cleaned/changed for 10 years. Worst chips I’ve eaten in a long time!

Incredibly slow service ( was just before 12pm), billed wrong. Was not told properly what the menu included, and not told what was asked was extra. Chips were barely edible. Not a great experience.

Nasty black holes in the chips and cold meat pie. Staff member full of steroids with a nasty mouth like his food. Racist and rotten. Dont eat here o er prices for basic slop

Llamado a la hora del almuerzo para una bolsa de patatas para llevar. La esposa tenía papas fritas y puré de guisantes (agradables de ver en el sur) que estaban calientes y muy sabrosas, pedí papas fritas y salsa de curry, muy gratamente sorprendida de tener una salsa china de curry adecuada. Las patatas fritas eran de primera clase, muy sabrosa y fresca. Nos quedamos afuera y nos burlamos del lote, como tú. Recomiendo encarecidamente este chippy, era tan bueno que pensaría que fue dirigido por un Northerner! Correaje.

Worst fish and chips I have ever tasted in my whole life, complete waste of money. The attitude of the staff when there was a problem with payment was inappropriate and rude. Shall not be visiting this shop again and would not recommend!

I called on a Sunday afternoon when the town centre was busy with visitors but the restaurant itself was rather quiet.

We were only here for an hour due to getting the riverboat back to see a show so were in a hurry, they assured us if we had Cod and chips it was ready...and it was - immediate service by polite staff.

We were really hoping for a proper fish & chip shop,that would lure you in with the pungent smell of strong vinegar.

As a family of 5 and with a full time wheelchair user, it is often difficult to find a place to eat that can fit us all in. Although this is a very narrow restaurant the staff couldn’t be more helpful.

Wanted to try classic London fish and chips and this place delivered. Split a large plate of fried cod and it was delicious. Great quick lunch spot if visiting the Greenwich attractions.

Went here due to the AMEX small shop offer (spend at least £10 get £5 back as account credit). Noticed a few other reviews have said the batter and chips were soggy, but my meal was excellent. I did eat in, so told the food would be cooked to order; in front of me a customer ordered take out and was given the food already cooked, so perhaps this makes a difference....

昔ながらのフィッシュ＆チップスの専門食堂といったお店。テイクアウトと半々のような感じで地元客中心に賑わっています。ポテトがホクホクでロンドンで何度か食べたフィッシュ＆チップスの中では1番美味しかったと思います。

La comida es de buena calidad, pero. . . . . . Los tamaños de porción. podría ser un poco más grandes. He comido en 'en este bar de pescado y la comida es buena, aunque el tamaño de la porción es un poco corta. También, aunque no hay un tamaño de la porción de regulado llevar porción de patatas fritas, he sido ciertamente bajo sirve en este bar de pescado en cuatro de cinco ocasiones. Sólo por referencia, la razón por la que repetirá después de que sirve lo que considera 'short', era para asegurarme de que no era por casualidad. Como he dicho, la comida buena, pero esta tienda podría 'Uñas' si eran un poco más generoso.

This used to be my fav fish and chips place to visit when going to Greenwich and I go at least twice a month. Last few visits to the Pier fish and chips have been disappointing to say the least . Last visit chips has hard has bullets small portion and a not bothered attitude. I have recommended this restaraunt to lots of people, not now

Так быстро, что есть подозрение, что наши блюда просто разогрели в микроволновке. Не тратьте Ваше время ))

I come here regularly as I live around the area. Love the cod, and the chips here especially. Great service, lovely staff, very clean. Cash only if you takeaway.

Popped down to Greenwich - plenty to see tourist-wise. Thought I'd grab some chips before I headed back into Central London and stumbled across The Pier Fish Bar. Service was brill, proper Londoners behind the counter - chips available with or without scraps and they were piping hot and suitably greasy (perfect!). If it's a dry day I recommend doing what I did, and wandering round past the Cutty Sark to the benches by the Thames. A lovely filling lunch with views of London's many skyscrapers, and confusingly on the day in question, a cruise ship berthed in the Thames. Will definitely go there again when I return to that neck of the woods.

Popped in here on Sunday, very impressed with the size of the place, it was pretty quiet so service was quick and pleasant. We had a starter which was good, calamari. Then it was fish and chips for main, The cod portion which was medium was very good quality but a bit small. When you are paying quite a bit for fish nowadays the portion is always pretty good at most fish and chip shops. Happy to recommend this place but like any restaurant its a shame when its empty.

Aunque la comida en el restaurante era muy agradable el servicio recibido desde el que hulk y la rubia de hadas era horrible. Nunca supe que era justo para intentar intimidar o Díselo a un cliente "lo que sea". El culturista falsa me hablaron de una manera muy agresiva y no como se dijo que él estaba equivocado. Y tinker actitud campanas era asquerosa, quizás se recibió capacitación del hulk. El futuro consejo si quiere que su restaurante prospere sugiero remover estas a miembros de personal permanente.

A pretty average sort of place but not bad given it's in the centre of Greenwich. The batter was flabby - it didn't feel as though the fat had been hot enough to cook it to a good crispness, but the chips were pretty decent.

Me and my girlfriend live in the local area.. We after spend our weekends looking around Greanwhich. There is no shortage of food options around here.. especially at the weekend. The Market has every type of cuisine imaginable.. But we nearly allways find ourselves looking around there.. and then deciding to go to our favourite chip shop.We take them to the front and eat them overlooking the Thames..They are exceptionally delicious. I’m not sure if its the oil..cooking times..or type of potatoe.. or a mixture of all three... But they are great.And the guys that work there allways have a cheerful smile... which is important.There is a reasonably sized ‘Eat In’ Area too... if that’s your sort of thing.If your in the area.. and hanker delicious chips... This should be your first stop.

Il locale non è grandissimo ma è tranquillo. Il fish&chips è ottimo ed i prezzi economici. C'è abbastanza scelta nel menù anche per chi non mangia pesce, offrono infatti anche vari piatti di carne. Personale gentile e disponibile.

My daughter and I went there for dinner prior to going to o2 arena. Being from Scotland and having no clue about the bus system the chaps behind the counter told us where to go to get Oyster cards then what bus stop we would need. Their food was amazing. My daughter hates greasy chips but she said they were great. Great friendly service and great food.

Avoid like the plague! Fish is like rubber and chips tasted like they had been there since the plague. The real kick in the teeth though was the staff. The guy who brought me the fish and chips was nice but the guy who sorted the bill was dreadful. Since when you address a customer with "mate!" and "yeah?". Really bad. Avoid it. Place smells bad too.

We ordered 2 cones of chips and some mayonnaise, ...it was steaming hot, crisp with only little fat on the chips, and bits of fried batter here and there among the chips, it was like finding toys, just excellent !!!, fast service , decent prices, everything done with a smile and a bit of chat, just how you wish a chip shop to be.... we went back the next day, for more, and some fish too,...cannot rate it high enough really, well done 'The Pier' !!!

This is a lovely little place and the chips are gorgeous. The two ladies that we were served by in the night were fantastic. So nice, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I did say I'd see you next year but I'm up in May so I will definitely pay you a visit then

Came out of gig at the O2, caught a bus straight back to the hotel and it dropped us off outside the pier.They were just closing ( midnight ) but they were happy to serve us with what they had left and it was delicious.The staff are friendly and remembered us 2 nights later when we did it again next time we go hopefully it'll be in normal hours

Visited today for lunch. Really reasonably priced considering it's location. Really tasty too. I'd go back again without a doubt.

How people have rated this Fish & Chip shop so highly, I do not know. Could not fault the chips or the rapid service, however this remarkable service time should have rung alarm bells from the get go. The 'battered' fish was the texture of a wet sock and didn't taste far off too. A birdseye frozen fish and chips meal would have definitely tasted crispier and fresher. Hands down the worst fish from a chippy i have ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of fish and chips. How i regret not taking my £7.60 (for the fish alone) across the road to Greenwich street food market. Wether or not you knew you were serving me a fish from last week I will never know but Pier Fish bar, congrats.

Called in while we were visiting Greenwich. Very clean restaurant with pleasant staff and good portions of fish and chips. Tasty fish; though would have preferred the batter a little crispier; the chips were lovely.Service was good and the waiting staff pleasant and efficient.

We checked in on this hole in the wall restaurant upon the recommendations of Tony and John, the captains of the tour boat that brought us to Greenwich. The fish and chips were their specialty. The fish was fresh, flaky and lightly breaded not oily at all ... really well done and tasted great ! My hubby enjoyed his steak and kidney pie. I had a bite of that and was amazed at how good it was too. No minerally taste of kidney. Good beefy flavor to the meat and gravy. Overall good meal which fortified us for the trek up to the take pictures of the Prime Meridian at the Observatory.

At first it looks only like a take away place but towards the back are quite a few tables. The room is decorated in a simple but nice way. The tables and chairs were good and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. Fish & chips (we had the cod) was good. Not the best ever, but good. The fish was very fresh. The batter was a bit much and quite thick though. All in all a very nice lunch. We enjoyed it!

Piccolo locale sulla via principale verso l'imbarcadero del Tamigi. Abbiamo preso in prevalenza pesce e patate , ci siamo saziati spendendo in tre 34 sterline , per chi non ha molte pretese e vuol spendere meno del solito è da fermarsi.

Went here last night after going to Greenwich to take some photos! I was so glad for a hot bag of chips and some gravy! (I'm so northern)We have been here before and sat in and the fish wasnt amazing but last night this chippy was fantastic!just want we needed on a cold night walking around Greenwich!Thank you for fast service and and an enjoyable dinner.It was around £6 for chips sausage and gravy, and a bag of chips and a drink! :)

My girlfriend and I stopped by after a long day in Westminster and we both wanted fish and chips. We were staying close by and after getting off the river ferry at Greenwich pier we opted for this site. The portions were very large and the price was far less than surrounding locations.The staff and waitress were most friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the entire time and have mentioned it to my friends that are planning on going to the UK in the near future.

After a day touring around Greenwich I stopped by for some 'fish and chips'.in the early evening; caught them at a slow time -- no other in-house guests. My order was fresh cooked and the large serving of fish was very well done; bottled Guinness is bottled Guinness; and while packaged, I found the tarter sauce to be ok. The downside was that the chips were very mediocre (and that's half the "fish & chips") -- I've seen other reviews that praised the chips, but from my experience that my not be dependable -- check other reviews for consistency if you don't want to be disappointed (at least if you do want to 'eat your chips').

Our last night in London and it had to be fish and chips for dinner. The restaurant is very cosy and just they way a fish and chips place should, including a tomato sauce bottle shaped like a giant tomato.Great for kids. Fish and chips, a glass of squash and ice cream dessert for under £5.00. You must try the rock and chips, a generours portion of fish with chips. The curry sauce is fantastic, exactly how chippy curry should be.The staff are really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The only negative was that the mushy peas that we ordered didn't arrive with the meal and we had to ask for these to be brought.

Visited here with a friend, both ordered fish and chips and some onion rings to share. The portions were a very good size, we both struggled to finish them (but just about managed!) The chips, peas and onion rings were all very good but the fish had the consistency of a frozen battered fillet. Not flaky at all. However, the batter was better. However, I have only given 3 stars as the crux of fish and chips, really is in the fish.

Service expéditif et nourriture plus que moyenne sans réelle saveur... Avons testé le fish and chips : poisson ok, frites molles et sans goût (dur à croire pour des frites), salade quasi inexistante ! A peine le plat débarrassé on vous apporte l'addition sans vous avoir préalablement demandé si vous souhaitiez autre chose... Les serveuses s'agitent dans tous les sens pour rien, et ce, malgré une salle vide, comme si le patron leur avait demandé de ne jamais rester inactive... Bref passez votre chemin !

we went there today and we like the food. The cod was very tasteful and the plaise. we love the mozzarella dippers and the curry sause. The service was nice and the potatoes was fresh. And of course we took the mediterrranean salad with kale, cucumbers, corn, onions, cheese that i think it was feta(very nice) and they bring you sause to put it you're self. The place when you see it from outside you don't like it but the food and the prices are good ;-) sorry for my English

Came here for lunch last Saturday the staff were nice and the food was nice good service as well I would like to return again.

Have been here before a few times, about a year ago, and had fantastic fish and chippers. This time though the chips were cold and old, the batter on the fish and battered sausage were basically inedible, really leathery and tough. It tasted a lot like it had been cooked a couple of days before and then lightly reheated. This is such a shame as we used to really like this place and Greenwich desperately needs a good fish and chip shop!

On a trip with family and friends to Greenwich, we found the Pier fish and chips on TripAdvisor. Although it took about 15 mins to prepare, the food was freshly cooked and the portion sizes were good. Between 8 of us we had cod, spring rolls and roe, and 4 large portions of chips - enough to satisfy even the biggest appetite. I would certainly come back again if in the area.

高台の上のグリニッジ天文台に行ってから、カティーサーク目指して降りてきて、小腹がすいたなぁと思いながら駅方向に歩いていく途中にこの店があり、ついつい寄ってしまいました。通りに面しては赤い目立つ造りで大きくフィッシュアンドチップスと書かれていて、店に入るとやはりついついフィッシュアンドチップスをオーダーしたくなります。高校生くらいの女の子の集団がワイワイ言いながら注文しているのが済むのを待って、やっと注文できましたが、ホカホカのやつをサッと出してくれて文句を言っていたお腹も大満足です。

Nothing out of this word... but probably the best around! Again, you can be very lucky, getting fresh fish and chips as well as unlucky, getting old fluffy chips and a hard fish which has been sitting in the lam for few hours.

I'm a Londoner and chose this place from these reviews, as I had rellies visiting Greenwich.This is the WORST fish and chips I've had for years - appalling, tasteless and chips like soggy socks. It also took AGES to arrive. I wish I had settled for some cheapo cheese sandwiches from a supermarket! Even worse than the 'food' was the staff who had grouchy faces, disgusting attitudes and when I commented about the standard of the 'fish'.......she just shrugged her shoulders!!I wasted nearly £50.......please dont even waste a pound here, there are loads of better eateries just up the road towards the park

We finished our evening in Greenwich off with a for real, Fish and Chips dinner! All 4 of us got the Cod, and we shared a Calamari appetizer. Very nice food! Good service Give it a shot!

I just moved to Greenwich and I have to say this was the worst service I've ever had. The fish was actually really nice but the staff were a disgrace one large guy in particular. Greenwich is meant to be a tourist hot spot but with staff like this it doesn't do English tourism any favours. I won't be going back.

Durante la nostra mezza giornata nella cittadina di Greenwich, verso ora di pranzo, ci siamo imbattuti in questo ristorante e, incuriositi dal fantastico odore di fritto, siamo entrati: abbiamo ordinato il classico fish and chips con patatine (sono freschissime, non le solite congelate delle buste) e si sentiva la croccante impanatura del pesce. Un'esplosione di sapori. Consigliatissimo.

The place is small and not very clean, we went with kids and other friends that were visiting Greenwich, all of us asked for fish and chips.Well food was warm only, and as always happened the fish and chips needs to be served at the moment of cook, maybe some of pieces were waiting too much...Trust in your nose! a good fish and chips atmospehere is lovely, think in this if you're waiting for your food there

Popped in for some chips to take away,just fancied some...absolutely awful....cold,inedible chips,lots of 'black' chips in the portion...disgusting....binned them after trying about 3....how could chips be so bad!..a waste of £1.80

My boyfriend and I went to Greenwich for the day and stopped here for lunch we both ordered fish and chips and a milkshake each. The milkshakes were the best I'd had in ages and we wanted another after!! The chips were great and the fish was pretty good, service was fast and there was already sauce and salt on the tables. Came to £22 all up and we loved it!

Not good at all. Waited ages to get served - until my partner went to get the waitress. Food arrived 15 mins later but then had to chase our drinks as well! Batter was thick/spongy, and wet inside so took it off and just ate fish which tasted funny. Chips were bland and everything was cooked in oil not dripping (just incase you might be expecting it to be being 'traditional'). Went to the loo and the hand rail was pulled out wall showing screws and rawl plugs, the toilet seat was all over the place, no toilet roll left, the baby changer was dirty with bits in it and it looked like the floors and skirting a hadn't been cleaned in ages. For the price of £21 for two medium cod and chips, peas and a coke it was in my opinion expensive and not worth it. We will not be visiting again.

If you like English style fish and chips this is the place to go.Lovely soft chips and crispy batter nicely wrapped up.Inconsistent standards. Sometimes you may be unlucky and get a fish that has been under the heat lamp for a long time if it has been quiet - dry and yucky. They should cook to order more often.

When I went there was no large fish available and it would take quarter of an hour to cook. Instead of offering 2 small fish like I have had anywhere else I was told I could get a small or pay for 2 small fish (I was laughed at when I asked if that was for the price of one large). Not good service at all, and also the fish was very dry and bad quality. Would not recommend.

Exasperated by trying to find somewhere local in Greenwich to eat late at night (with readable menu's) we came across this place and were delighted by the food, the service, the prices - everything. For a clean, unfussy yet wholesome meal out, this place is worth a visit.

We came here on 5th April 2015, and the chips were ok, just warm. The COD ROE was small than other chip shops I have been to,and most important to me was the batter/NOT CRISPY!!! I do hate that-it was soggy? The Sausages just warm and when you cut the sausage some of the skin stays on the sausage? The Fish cake was hot and it taste nice, of what I had from my fiance. Also the drinks seemed over priced really. £1.50 FOR A CAN OF COKE,FANTA ETC. Ok if it is about £1.00, but that is alot for a chip shop. The service was good and very polite. But we would not be going back really , But it was clean and service was good.

Locale anonimo e scarsa pulizia. Discreto il fish n chips anche se meglio dei vari take away in altre parti della città. Il servizio è stato veloce e cortese. Locale tuttavia non consigliato.

Just had lunch here.Awesome fresh battered fish with piping hot fluff chips.It's worth the wait if you are sitting in the restaurant area as the make everything to order for you.Equally good takeaway to eat by the river.Great good English chippy!

Les Fish'n Chips étaient bon, copieux mais un poil gras. Le service n'était pas désagréable mais ce n'était pas le top du top, cela manquait un peu de sourire. Mais dans l'ensemble le repas fut agréable. Simple et bon.

After a great day visiting Greenwich to see the Tall Ships Festival on Monday 8 September 2014 we decided it was appropriate to finish the day off with a 'fish and chip' supper. On being seated the first thing we noticed was that the surface of the table was unpleasantly sticky to the touch but we were prepared to put up with that as we were ready for our meal. When the waitress turned up to take our order she seemed argumentative - it may have been a language barrier problem but something was definately lost in translation between our party and what she was trying to communicate to us. We decided to leave without eating as her manner was very cold and unwelcoming.

Ate here last wk and had eaten here previously, could not fault it, had cod and chip and it was delicious, service was fast and was not overpriced either.

Visited here for the first time while in Greenwich. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and smile and the cafe had a nice feeling to it which may seem strange to say but I find a lot of fish and chip shops do not feel the same anymore but this one was different. Great chips and very good portion size. The thing I liked also was you could put your own salt and vinegar on another thing of the past as it mainly gets put on for you now.

We visited the Pier Fish & Chips restaurant after spending several hours at the Royal Observatory. I had read good reviews online and decided to try it. We were greeted by friendly staff and sat down right away. The decor was that of a diner and fairly plain in appearance, but the food was very good and we enjoyed our authentic fish & chips meal. I shared the medium plate with my daughter and we both enjoyed our experience. We would return again.
