Had the Beef Steak and Ale pie at Pieminister in Borough Market and wow, what a great surprise! The flavors are rich and earthy, hitting the spot with just the right amount of filling. It’s served warm, making it the perfect comfort food. No frills, just really good pie. If you’re in the area, run to try it.Definitely recommended for a hearty, satisfying meal.

This little pie was delicious. Only £5.50, and it has plenty of filling and nice crispy crust. It's just a little stall in the middle of the market, so it's easy to miss.. but if you do find it, grab one and you won't regret it.

Kiosk located in the brough market. We took a normal pie and a gluten-free one. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The pies were really excellent, fragrant and succulent. We would have eaten more 😂 . Definitely worth trying, recommended for gluten intolerants.

During my 4-day trip to London, the highlight was definitely the amazing pies I discovered at Pieminister . The execution was spot-on, and I couldn't get enough of fungi chicken hot pie. Totally recommend it! :)

I waited a whole year to try a Pieminster pie. I went to the Burough Market location and the staff was awesome. Even though I got there early I was treated with respect and they let me know when the hot pies would be ready. I had the Moo and I tell you it was delicious. I traveled from Topeka, Kansas to try one and I can't wait to get back to London to get another.

We were bumbling round the market when we stumbled upon this quaint lil pie stand, tucked away under the arches. HOLY MOOOOOO! I wasn’t even hungry and this pie forced its way into my stomach. I tried the Blue&Moo after a recommendation from a nice Italian man and his kind hearted short haired colleague. The pie has shot to the the top of my pie list, it’s just soooooo comforting, warm and cheesy. My partner is vegan and tried the Mooless Moo- She had to go to bed early because she was so happy. The price for one of these warm pockets of joy is unbelievably reasonable. Just do it, get yourself under the arches and crack on, I will be returning and bringing my family.

Love this place. Discovered them when I was in Bristol a few years back and SO glad they have a spot in London. Their gluten free beef and GF ale, and their chicken pork leek pies are both delicious and I wish I could take a dozen back to the states with me. And for anyone without an oven (in a hotel) - a few min in the microwave and the pie is ready to eat!

This was my first pie in the UK so I wasn't sure what to expect. The pies really hit the spot so perfectly! I tried two. The mooless moo jackfruit pie was a great vegetarian option. Get it warm because it's worth that extra fifty cents and the pies wouldn't be as good if cold. The moo pie steak and ale option was my favorite. Since all pies are the same price at £5 you should try a couple. If you're hungry two or three will fill you up.

Best meat pie I've ever had. The outer layer is crispy and airy and the meat is so flavorful. I got the steak pie and would love to try other flavors. 5 pounds for one pie. You can get them warm of cold to bring home.

During my visit to London, I tried their pie at the Borough Market location. It was so good! A few days later, I went back there before my evening flight so that I could leave London in peace. Their pie is that good! Definitely give it a try, be warned that you may get addicted!

Who dares to say British food is bad must try these pies. Because they'll kill you in the best way. The top is crusty, and the filling is full of flavour. We bought the beef and Stilton one and is marvellous, the beef is tender, the Stilton is just at that point where you can feel it without being overwhelming.

Brought some pot pies back home to Montreal after a visit to Borough Market. They held extremely well on the plane and they are honestly the best pot pies I’ve ever eaten, I wish I had brought back more!!!!

Not worth the price or hype in our opinion. Severely disappointed boyfriend who LOVES pie and mash. We travelled there on train over an hour for subpar food. The tikka pie filling is decent but the rest of the plate ruined it. My boyfriend left half of his food. The mash was runny and watery, the gravy was weird and didn’t even taste like gravy, couldn’t figure out what was in it.

I can't help loving these pies. Like...have not had a bad one. Always the first thing I eat when taking someone to the market for the first time. Meat, no meat, whatever, they're all good.

I used to love pieminster pies, and then became a vegan and though pies were a thing of the past. Great range of vegetarian and vegan, and you can pick up from here hot or cold.

Really nice pie! Be aware though, no gravy or anything additional.

First time we tried the pie here in London and we were really satisfied with this one. They have plenty different flavors and we tried three of them (the best one the British beef with Ale). Good price for the size of the portion.

Really cool little pie stand at Borough Market! The pies were more than affordable (4,5£) and reeeeally hefty! Those were some chonky heavy pies! Definitely worth trying, and worth the price! I took the basic chicken and mushroom. I wish I could have tried all of them, but eating even one whole is a challenge! I'm definitely coming back for more!

They don’t seem to have an actual restaurant at borough market anymore according to Google it’s permanently closed. However they have a stall selling either warmed pies you could take away, or cold pies which you can take home. My mum and I went got the pie with Stilton, not what we ordered actually but it was amazing. Great quality beef, very tasty and excellent pastry. We were super impressed, highly recommend!

Pie crust - 2.5 stars The pie crusts have an alright texture but no taste - they probably use shortening rather than butter and there isn't enough salt. Jackfruit pie - 3.25 stars Loved that they had jackfruit as a vegetarian filling but this wasn't very flavourful. Mushroom and asparagus - 4 stars Great umami filling but same comment about the lacklustre crust. Beef and stilton - 3 stars Filling was flavourful and the beef went well with the stilton but couldn't make up for the crust.

Gluten free mooless moo. Yes. All of it. Cannot recommend enough.

Has some gluten free pies but they are cold. Would be nice if they had a separate space in the oven for them. Was nice though.

From Seattle, WA to London for vacation. We had trouble figuring out where to find a good pub, after getting lost we went back towards our hotel so we stopped into this place. What a wonderful staff, we felt welcome, had a nice beer they recommended and a pie, it was delicious.

Selected the free range chicken and portobello/chestnut mushroom pie. Wasn’t any in oven but wasn’t a problem as not eating straight away. Tried a chicken, bacon, and tarragon pie. It was OK, but nothing particularly amazing. I guess the pie crust was nice and crispy, but in terms of flavor it was definitely 3 stars but no more. Maybe I picked wrong. :(

Delicious and fresh pies in the middle of Borough Market! We tried the “Free Ranger” with mushy peas, mashed potatoes, and gravy! The portions were generous, and the flavors divine! Highly recommend!

This is the second visit to the pie minister. My son like the pie . Only problem is they are cold . You hear them at home. My son like them cold .so it is not a problem.

Pies are tasty, the crunchiness of the dough is just perfect. Wide variety for all diets, both me and my brother liked them. I'd pay 0,5 pounds more for 30 seconds in the microwave, they surely taste even better if they're not refrigerated. :-).

Wandering around Southwark and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant tucked away in Gabriel's Warf, had the "Moo & Blue" steak and Stilton pie, minted mushy peas & cheesy mash, all topped with delicious gravy and crispy onions. Had to ask the chap that served me what his music playlist was as being a 40 something guy the music took me straight back to my childhood, dancing in the living room with my parents to Rocksteady reggae! An altogether fantastic experience, great food, a full tummy and fond memories.

Not really into meat pies but when in the UK, you must have some pies. We tried the traditional braised beef in ale pie. We took it to go so we didn’t get to try the one w gravy, mash and peas. The pie was still good. Crust was flacks and buttery and the meat soft and rich! A great pie indeed

We specifically went searching for Pieminister during our final day of a trip to London. Located in the amazing Borough Market, we almost walked right by the stall they were set up in. Prices were fair for the portion, so if you're looking for something to stick to your stomach for about 5 pounds then this place is for you. I also imagine that they travel pretty well. However, while we planned to get 2 for immediate consumption and 2 more for the road we decided not to get the additional 2. The pies weren't bad, they just were... that's it. They just were. Neither good nor bad. In fact, while I can tell you that we had two different pies I cannot remember which ones we got. They were that memorable. Borough Market is an amazing place with many food choices. If we went back we would probably eat somewhere else.

This place got the best pie in London. It is delicious and has a perfect size! I recommend getting the Moo pie.

En primer lugar, estas tartas son deliciosas. Los recomiendo por la calidad y variedad de opciones. Tuve el Pollo de Aragón (de cinco a quienes los llaman) y mi esposo tenía el venado. Ambos eran maravillosos, incluso cuando se comían sentados en el suelo.

I went here today and had to wait 15 min to have my hot pie as I were there too early. I chose Moo pie and it was great! Crispy and a bit spicy(cause of pepper). It will be a bit familiar to asian people cause it taste like beef hashed rice sauce

Estaba cerca del almuerzo y tuve que parar. . . Mi hija. Estoy deseando volver a esta comida desde que se comenzó a planificar el viaje a Londres. Tardaron en encontrarlos. (mira hacia la parte trasera cerca de los puestos de comida de éxito). Pastel de carne deliciosa. Tamaño perfecto para el almuerzo. También hay asientos tipo estadio, hacia la parte trasera del mercado que también era muy necesario después de una mañana de turismo y escalada muchas escaleras!

A melhor torta que eu comi em Londres foi na Pieminister! Eles estão em várias localidades e vale muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuito a pena fazer uma paradinha e experientar essa delícia. O preço é ótimo e estava tudo muito fresquinho :)

Una de mis comidas favoritas de mi visita a Londres. Estas personas obviamente hacen tartas de manos, y las hacen excepcionalmente bien. Opté por el Moo, que es el filete de ternera británico y el pastel de cerveza artesanal, y viene en una pequeña caja ordenada para pasear. Caliente, delicioso, perfectamente cocinado: una corteza ligera y crujiente y un interior deliciosamente con sabor. Espectacular.
