Worst food, literally was sick as there was hair all over the kebab from the animal. Completely off meat now .

Ordered for the third time now and no delivery or no contact ruined our Saturday night pathetic service steer clear they take your order but don't deliver really poor poor service

I have fond memories from years ago tackling a piccolo's volcano hot pizza pished and it was the greatest thing in the world. As fate would have it i found myself back in Bangor in a similar sh1t state last night. Before myself and my friends got the last train home I suggested getting a couple of volcano pizzas for the journey. So we did and the whole way to the train station I found myself championing how good this pizza was going to be. The disappointing taste when we took that first bite was only surpassed by the disappointment that was strewn across the faces of my friends. The pizza consisted of a mass of raw onions and surprisingly tasted of raw onion and not much else. I only hope my friends can forgive me, and we can put this unsightly episode behind us.

We had a veggie pizza that was packed with veg and a cheesy garlic bread both medium, both superb I’m delighted we have left overs. The shops a great experience too but probably not for the faint hearted on a Saturday night!

I find Piccolos great for Pizza. Unique taste to their pizzas and its always good! Have been getting pizzas from them for 20+ years and never once had anything issues.Staff are always polite and friendly and when ordering a delivery its always on time and hot!

Had a usual delivery Of kebab and chips. Chips half cooked and soggy very disappointing considering driver said very quiet. hate a soggy chip.

Best food for all especially the burgers and vegetarian food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Pizza anyway you want it and delicious. Just order on the phone and call and collect.

I used to love this place, always great food and good banter from the staff.This is sadly no longer the case. Ordered food on Saturday evening, half the order was prepared and presented to me and i was told the remainder would not take long. After waiting some time I asked about the remainder of the order at which point it came to light they hadn't even started to cook it yet. The worst part of it all was when i was asking the girl behind the counter how long it would be, she simply turned her back to me and ignored me! Nothing but down right rude and uncalled for. Due to her rudeness i asked for a refund and then received rudeness from 2 of the men who have worked there for years, I was dumbfounded as i had always found them to be lovely in the past. I will not be using this take away again, all it would have taken was an apology when they realised they had messed up the order and assurance that it would be rectified asap, no need for their attitude.

Popped in with my fella and kids for a bite, and we are all glad we did. Delicious pizzas and chips, reasonably priced and the guy serving was a lovely man :)

The piccolos sauces served with their food are strange. On Pizzas the sauces they use are very nice but the sauces for kebabs etc... don't seem to go with the food they are served with. The garlic sauce is lumpy and fatty and the kebab sauce is too harsh and over powering.We recently had their burgers and they were dissapointing. Just a meat pate in a very dry bun - but the bread was very fresh.If you stick with their pizzas - you can't go wrong but they've blurred the edges of what could be excellent. It doesn't take much to make your own fresh sauces and what a difference they would make. They are kind of surfing on their reputation at this point and those small changes could make a big difference. "No dry bites" as purveryors of all burgers and sandwiches should recite daily.

There is a distinct flavour to piccolos pizzas that I honestly haven't experienced at any other pizza shop that I've visited in Europe, America, Ireland or the UK. Any time I have a pizza at another takeaway, i always judge it against piccolos. Unfortunately i dont live in Bangor no more so it has been a few years from ive had one. Simply amazing pizzas. Freshly made. Insanely busy on Friday saturday nights in the wee hours (well it used to be when i was 18..) very friendly staff. 5 stars.

I previously reviewed this place some time ago and gave it 5 stars. I regret to say that since then it has gone very badly downhill. The quality of the food is still good but I'm afraid it has become a victim of its own success. The service is now poor with orders frequently wrong. It seems there are too many people behind the counter now and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.Too bad - this used to be my favorite pizzeria. If you want a real genuine Italian pizza try Bella Pizzeria in Moseley.

Best chicken kebab in town, never had a bad take away in over 10 years of going here. Reasonably priced too.

Best Pizza place in Bangor excellent kebabs as well. Service is always very good and quick despite how busy it is.

I have been getting pizza from here since I was a little boy and I'm glad to say it hasn't changed one bit. Pizza is the freshest in Bangor. If you don't want the cheapest ingredients thrown on by the well known brand chains or flavourless combinations put forward by the other pizza shops in Bangor this is the place for you. The staff are friendly and attentive and would do anything for you. Reading down the comments I'm surprised at some of the responses, I have a sneaky suspicion that the dodgy tummy comments are blamed on the place instead of the alcohol that came before them! Must give this place a go anytime of night.

This is a favourite place for my family each time they visit, which means I get one too! We love chicken kebab with the delicious sauce. Always busy, especially weekends, but worth the wait. Big portion sizes too. Grandkids got pizzas and loved them. Clean plates all round.

En cualquier momento que una pizza en Bangor, es siempre de Piccolo. El sabor es siempre 1, Clase Street, la comida siempre es fresca y el son buenas porciones de tamaño. Piccolo Pizza is good for a kebab or pizza.The staff are actually friendly as far as local takeaway staff are concerned.The meals are good and well priced.Definitely one of the best in Bangor. Definitely beats any take away in Holywood.

Guilty pleasure this place.A sneaky mixed kebab on chips with all 3 sauces every once in a while is the cure for anything. Well it is in my book anyway.The pizzas are also very good here

This is my favourite pizzeria in the world. Definitely the best in Bangor. Been going here for 20 years not, staff treat you like family. Treat the chicken burger with cheese and bacon or a doner pizza with BBQ and peppers. Best secret is mixing kebab sauce and chilli sauce. You're welcome.

Frequently used pizzeria with a good menu, though I usually have a regina vegetarian pizza with extra pepperoni every time. So much so that when I place the order they already know who it's for! Deservedly popular

The pizzas are to die for, with amazing quick service. It's the best that Bangor offers. I would highly recommend this place to all who would fancy getting something good to eat.

Ordered a pick up on Saturday night...1 chicken n sweet corn pizza and a kebab on chips..Firstly the pizza wasn't sliced , the shredded chicken had a damp mouldy taste along with the base .. Gawd knows what it was but I had pizza from there before and it tasted the same .. Low quality ingredients if assume .. Kebab I was told wasn't gear either ..Resulted in dodgy stomachs the next day for both parties ..Result have given the place afew chances tbh I won't go back.This may have been the place 15 years ago whatever the changes have been over the years the pace has certainly gone down hill ..

The best kebab sauce. Unbeatable. Do not go in to the shop beyond 10.30 on a Saturday night however lest you get schmacked by one of the clientele.

Everybody raves about Piccolo Pizza being 'the best pizza in town'. It's definitely not. The pizzas are very fatty, unhealthy & stodgy and just taste of fat. As for the staff - just rude and ignorant! The only reason they do so well is that they are in a prime spot in the town for when the bars/clubs get out on weekends and everyone is drunk anyway and would eat anything!If your looking for good authentic pizza do yourself a favour and head to Little Wing. A much healthier, tastier alternative.

Staff are always great craic and the food is always amazing, however, I can't say I've ever tried it sober! Great way to finish the night out.

Been away from Bangor for nearly 20 years, and was sad to see how much of the seafront had disappeared. All my old haunts are closed or torn down. But a beacon of light in the form of Piccolo greeted me at the bottom of high street and I was so glad to see it.The owner is still there working away, and he remembered my 'usual' after all the years away. My Napoli pizza was ready in under ten minutes from start to finish and it was simply superb. Still loaded with toppings, still sauced to perfection and still crispy and cheesy all at the same time. Hats off to finding the winning formula and not ruining it by trying to make it cheaper or easier! You restored my faith in the town I was born in and I'll be back fora pizza or a kebab very soon.

We had a take-away from here in May 2015. My partner had a pepperoni & salami 12", me a garlic bread (10") & chips - healthy!Overall, the place is nice, the staff are quite friendly, and the service quick. You can order & collect or they deliver. It is located at the bottom of the high-street, and they accept cash only (no cards). I would recommend for anyone wanting a quick take-away pizza.

Been going here for ages and never disappointed. Phone in your order and it's ready in minutes. Great fries and onion rings... just great comfort food. There are often queues so do phone in.

Very expensive - do not order a half and half pizza as you are charged full price for each half They do not put the full portion on each half as they state they do.

Piccolo never disappoint. Good quality pizza, freshly cooked. My only criticism in the past was that they didn't deliver. Now they do!

This place and it's staff are renowned in Bangor for their humour, pizzas, kebabs and cheesy chips. Great takeaway food and you're ways guaranteed a laugh when you go in. Tends to be a little busy around 1am on a Friday & Saturday night!

There is nothing wrong with Picolos -it is an adequate takeaway place that does most of its business at the end of the night when the bars close. There is however something seriously wrong with Trip Advisor when a takeaway venue is rated against sit-in restaurants!

Get takeaway from here all the time, great service and the food is always yummy! Can't beat their pizzas and chips with kebab sauce.

It's a takeaway, it's not comparable to some of the great restaurants in the town, so really it shouldn't be included in a list like this.That aside, their pizza kebabs and burgers are all absolutely first class!

Best pizza in Northern Ireland, no question. California or Volcano by choice. When on a night out this is just inevitable. The lads in there know their business; they get the pizza just right, ready to be demolished at a freezing cold seat over by the harbour.

You want a great, well established Pizzeria in Bangor look no further than the bottom of High Street in Bangor.Great pizza can be purchased for takeaway especially their Vesuvius nice and spicy.They also do a great range of Kebabs and I particularly like their Chicken Kebab in Pitta Bread pocket.One thing to note, unless you are out enjoying the pubs of High Street on a Friday and Saturday night and don't mind the wait, after 11pm can get really busy!!!!

Have been going to Piccolas for years and it never disappoints. Nicest pizzas are volcano, Sicilian, tornado and Napoli. Kebab on chips is hard to beat aswell and portion size it good. The kebab sauce is incredible. also like the chicken burgers. Wouldn't go anywhere else for pizza/kebab.

I love this place, especially the Volcano pizza. Staff are very accommodating, if you want something extra or a bit different it's no hassle. Prices aare competitive for absolutely delicious food, also good selection on the menu.

Nothing can beat the great taste of a Piccola's pizza. It is the pizza I go back for again & again.Situated at the bottom of Bangor's High Street Piccola's stands a little worn with its peeling green paintwork. Do not let the exterior put you off as the inside of the takeaway is clean & the food is delicious. It can get a little cramped inside as the waiting area is very narrow. I would usually call in at the weekend & the queue is sometimes out the door. As they open weekdays at 4.30pm I was able to nip in yesterday (Friday) at around 5pm & got served immediately. You can ring through your order for collection & they also have a delivery service.There is a good range of food on offer: various pizzas, burgers & kebabs. The pizzas come in three different sizes: 10, 12 or 14 inch. My favourite is the LA pizza: cheese, mushroom & bacon (10” £5.50; 12” £7.50; 14” £9.50). The base is terrific & is far tastier than Dominoes or Pizza Hut. The 12 inch is enough for two people but add a portion of chips (£1.90) & it is a struggle to finish. Piccola's pizzas are far superior in taste to any other pizzerias I've tried & I highly recommend you give them a try.

I had my first pizza in this place over 20 years ago. After a visit this summer I had to get the kids a pizza; so they could know the taste of proper pizza not Dominios rubbish. Our three pizzas were fantastic. Quick service. Seen them being made. Couldn't wait to taste. Anyone who makes pizzas for 20+ years and still going strong, has to be good. They were great. Do visit, you'll not be disappointed.

As Han Solo said in Star Wars - it doesn't look like much but its got it where it counts. This is a business that's been in Bangor for over 25 years - the reason? The Staff are friendly, the food is brilliant and as the title says the pizzas are the best in NI. Not just pizzas either - the menu is varied and includes kebabs etc. Forget Pizza Hut, Dominos or anywhere else - for carry out pizza this is the real deal - try it and see.
