A great little restaurant and the food is excellent. Only the second time I have been there (my step-mum lives in Grantham) but the owner remembered us from our last visit. Brilliant. We shall definitely go back the next time we are in the area. Thank you.

Our first visit but definitely not the last. Delicious food, cosy atmosphere and friendly service. An authentic Italian restaurant in the middle of Grantham, who would have thought it! Not to be missed.

Fantastic family meal, the food is as always delicious and the service is excellent, we love eating here, for us it’s the best restaurant in Grantham. Try the steak with Gorgonzola sauce, amazing.

Visited this restaurant for a family dinner today. Excellent food and service. We have been previously and it was as good as before. Will definitely be back.

One of our favourite restaurants in Grantham. Very cosy inside, so booking is advised. Food and service are always impeccable, and a good choice of wine. Always some interesting 'specials' on the blackboard.

We went for a birthday meal. The restaurant was very busy but well organised, perfect waiting time between each course, every dish was wonderful. Reasonably priced, unmissable if you come to Grantham. Be sure to book and have the tiramisu.

First went here 3 years ago and it was .......ok! Now under new ownership and what a complete change !! They have managed to complete change the atmosphere....very cosy small restaurant feel. Good selection of wine and Italian beer on draught. The starters were very generous size was ! I went for the Italian meats and cheese board ! Was the size of a mains and very well presented. Aside from the usual dishes you would expect like paste and pizzas their is also many meat and chicken dishes! One of our party had sea bass with lemon ...she said it was fantastic. I’m no expert but the party of six I was in we once a year have a late weekend in a different Italian city or town ( we know Italy and it’s food) . For a small market town Italian ....this place hits the spot. Back again this evening ! Steak was the best I’ve had in a longtime. Wife had the special lobster pink vodka sauce dish ! Good wine selection and bruschetta to die for. Can’t recommend this place enough

Very nice restaurant! Had good choice of authentic Italian dishes. Lovely atmosphere which caterers for all ages and the staff were really friendly. It is a good idea to book in advance so as to not be disappointed as the restaurant is quite small. Definitely worth a visit if in the area!

The atmosphere was amazing! It was warm, there was a rustic-vibe with the decoration that is surrounded all around you. There is Italian music playing and the service was so warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and they efficiently served our food and also took away food in a neat manner. If we were not able to finish all the food, we were allowed to take it all home as well. We did end up staying over their closing time but the staff were so patient and kind to us. Thank you for the immaculate atmosphere and service as well as delicious and satisfying dishes!!

The bread with olive oil and balsamico is to die for, and thats just the free appetiser. Easily the best Italian restaurant I've been to in UK, and cheap as well. 10/5

Piccola Venezia is so good we ate there twice during our one week's holiday in the Grantham region. The food is authentically Italian and of excellent quality which makes for a delicious combination. The atmosphere is typical of an Italian bistro and the hard-working staff of two are very pleasant and efficient. Like the meals, the wines, are reasonably priced and having birra Peroni on draught was a bonus for our son!

If you visit Grantham, you must try this Italian restaurant. A hidden gem!

I went in with little to no expectations and the food completely blew me away. The food looks fairly simple and you'd think it's probably going to taste plain/simple too but it was delicious! There wasn't even a single leaf left on my plates - I ate EVERYTHING.

What gem of a restaurant last night in Grantham looking for a last meal out to say goodbye to an amazing weekend and piccola Venezia was recommended to me so gave it a go and it was amazing delicious food and a 5* service very happy with the experience one of the best Italian restaurant I have been!!Grazie

Party of 7 which is always a challenge for a small restaurant. Food was excellent and we were never hurried. Slight language barrier with the waitress who is Italian through and through but we got there. Service not quick (arrived at 7:30, left at 10:20) which was fine as it was a great chatty group. Definitely need to book ahead as this is rightly popular. My only critisism? I would like to have seen more than one Italian dish with a creamy sauce but that is my personal taste. Will happily re-visit when next in the area.

Seven of us ate a fantastic meal last week, all our meals and we all had something different, from pizza, fish and steaks were cooked to perfection,portions were good, service and attention to detail were excellent. We would definitely recommend Piccolo Venezia, make sure you pre book a table as it's a busy little restaurant and you would not want to be disappointed by not getting seated.

Absolutely delicious with a warm and super friendly atmosphere

Lovely staff but shocking service, arrived at 8.00pm as booked eventually got our mains at 10.30pm , had to rearrange taxis 3 times. Some meals were okay but mine was very bland, sorry but tasteless chicken and basically 1 potato for almost £15 ,waited that long it was just too late to eat,on the plus side the wine was excellent. All in all a very disappointing and expensive experience.

Food was excellent as was the service, price is very reasonable as well. Just don't be put off if the sign outside says closed, try the door as they sometimes forget to set it to open.

I went as part of a large group, and I think we took over nearly the entire restaurant. I have to say the food was excellent I especially rate the meats and cheese starter, lovely presentation and it tastes great.

We visited on Saturday & both really enjoyed the meal, it was outstanding. The prawns in cream & brandy sauce on the specials board was absolutely delicious, one of the best starters I’ve ever had. I hope this is to be a regular on the menu. The steak was very tender. And the service of course was very good. Thank you

Lovely little restaurant, although food portions are small. Some food was great and others weren't so great so very mixed reviews. Wouldn't rush back but enjoyed a night out!

I'd previously been to the other Italian restaurant just down the road, so figured I ought to try this one. I was greeted by a cheerful waitress and shown to a free table. I ordered a beer, which arrived in seconds, and then the waitress kept an eye out to see when I'd made a food selection. The starter, fried calamari, was perfectly pleasant and I had no complaints. For the main I chose Filetto Pavia, which was a lump of fillet steak in a creamy mushroom and bacon sauce with some crispy roasted potatoes. Now, I've been fortunate enough to travel the world and have eaten in a wide variety of places, but I can honestly say this was in the top three steaks I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked and tender, and the sauce was packed with flavour. Absolute top marks for that. Any grumbles? No, just one item of puzzlement. I ordered a half-litre carafe of the rather lovely Borgo Malgredo, which was £14.50 - pretty good value. If I'd wanted a 750ml bottle, though, that would have been £26.90. So the half-litre works out at £29 per litre, while the bigger bottle comes to £35.87 per litre. Presumably the carafe is filled from some bigger bottle and hence works out cheaper, but it's always fun to see menus with apparently wonky maths. But don't let that put you off. I loved this place, and if you're in Grantham you should try it as you probably will too.

I’ve been twice to this restaurant & both times have been exceptional. The restaurant may be small, but the decor & attention to detail makes it far better than all other Italian’s I know. Definitely recommend this place 👍

Having taken people to this restaurant as a taxi driver for a number of years, tonight was the first time I have eaten here. The food was unbelievable the freshness and the taste just out of this world. The staff were fantastic very helpful even accommodating the extra 2 in our group.
