Cracking Chinese takeaway. Dromore has so many excellent places for a takeaway and Phuns is right at the top. 😋😋😋

Used to be great takeaway....gone downhill big time. Portion sizes are seriously reduced and quality extremely average. Chicken balls more like chicken nuggets and for an order of £32 you would think they'd throw in some prawn crackers 😡😡😡

Ordered here recently, had two main dishes (chow mein, and satay) and a portion of onion rings. Came to £21. Insanely expensive for what it is, small portions and the food is adequate. Normally (in other takeaways) the chow mein comes as a larger portion due to there being no side but it was the same portion as the satay which also came with fried rice. Absolutely no reason to be charging such insane prices for lower quality food. Crazy!! Not worth it unfortunately.

I ordered chicken fried rice n curry from it last night n after it was delivered n I eaten food n then an hr or 2 I was throwing it all up

So expensive! No need for inflated proces. Won't be using again.

Been going to Phuns for years, and haven't had a bad feed yet. Although others I speak to have said it can be hit or miss. Delivery and card payments are handy! Recommend the salted chilli chicken, crispy duck, and chicken balls. The chips aren't half bad either for a Chinese takeaway. Curry sauce is bland, but their bbq sauce is delicious. Would be nice if you could order through something like Just Eat or Uber Eats.

Poor food no taste and the floor was very dirty.

Food is always nice but the wait times can be long (around an hour) if during peak times.

Disappointed with this Chinese.. I had veg chow mein with chips and Peking sauce, which was fine albeit a bit soggy on the chips (stuck to paper bag with grease). Partner had chicken balls and a half and half. Half and half was small in a burger box for £3.60, curry sauce was tasteless and rice was clumped together like microwave rice. Batter on chicken balls was hard. Total cost was £26.40, which we worked out, based on the menu prices, meant delivery was £8 when we only live a mile from the Chinese (Chips - £2.40, Peking - £2, Veg chow mein - £6, chicken balls - £4.40 and half and half - £3.60). Will be going back to the other one in future.

Very cheeky front of staff taking orders over phone and when my daughter collected our order she was spoken to very rudely plus i couldnt believe how much their prices have been put up.. dont think this was very good customer service so i dont think we shall be returning here we didnt pay a fortune to be insulted...

I can remember when they first opened and the accusations for the lack of seagulls in the Square, how primitive and small minded were we!? I can only thank them for their loyalty and quality of food, and apololgise for some people (too many) who don't know any better. Just need to stay open later :)

Been using for years Good food 😋

This used to provide good food. Tonight I bought prawn chow mien. Yes it did have prawns, noodles in abundance but nothing else. No garlic/ginger/Chinese seasonings/onions/spring onions/mushrooms which are always added to chow mien and no peppers. The noodles tasted like they had been tossed in tasteless salty slop , prawns added n then served this slop as a chow mien. Won’t be going back.

Really delicious, very nice staff, prompt delivery. I have way more cheat days since discovering Phuns

Absolutely revolting waited an hour for a simple Chao main and there were big black bugs in my food. You shouldn't come here.

Ordered chips peas onion gravy got chips peas onion curry will not be back basic order and couldn’t get it right Avoid at all costs

Worst duck with spring onion and ginger I have ever eaten. No ginger in it - full of peppers and onions but could hardly find any spring onion! Duck stringy - inedible. Went in bin.

We get food delivered most Wednesdays and Saturdays Best food by far .Very reasonable priced.Friendly staff and a big thank you to the delivery guys for delivering in all weathers and during this awful pandemic. Can't recommend this place enough.

My girlfriend and I decided to order a Chinese as a treat this weekend. We didn’t expect to be waiting over 3hrs and have to go and get the food ourselves. Honestly embarrassing how they ignored phonecalls from direct numbers and then when we went to collect it they charged us £19 when the original delivery total was £21.50. This will unfortunately be the last time we order from this Chinese as on numerous occasions we’ve been put on hold and left with no response on opposing line and staff are rude as get out! Shambles and no respect at all.

Food was very good as usual. Wait was an hour and 10 minutes which is understandable on a busy Friday night during lockdown but please could you tell people a more realistic time when we phone so we're not stood outside for 40 minutes.

Really good food being using for a year or more never a bad feed but on occasion they have forgotten to pack something.

Nice enough though onions should be cut smaller as it was like the majority of my meal was onions. I had a chicken curry. Also I went in just before they closed so my chips were majority 'bits' which I hate.

My family and i used to be regular customers but the food has gone down hill since so we no longer eat here.

Really enjoyed the Special Satay. Friendly service and big portions. We waited for about 10 minutes, the food was cooked fresh from scratch

Have been going to Phuns for years! Honestly, very hard to beat. My go to is the Salted Chilli Chicken, Honey Chilli Chicken or the Chicken Balls! I've been on about getting a share box with my mate, and honestly need to go down and grab one 🍽

Super Chinese restaurant in Dromore. Their lemon chicken is the best I've had anywhere. We have friends who visit from Wales and they reckon it's the best Chinese they've ever come across. Praise indeed for our wee Dromore.

Ordered noodles with curry sauce and ribs, the noodles were bland, no sauce to speak of and the ribs were all fat, i couldn't eat them. I threw the lot into the bin. Wont be back.

Waited over 45 minutes for an order tonight - not good enough. Food average.

Can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are. If you get it delivered pay over the phone for everything as drivers ask for more than was quoted (also expect a long wait)

Food cold, satay chicken skewers overdone, chicken curry also very overdone and didn't leave out onions. First and last time buying.

This chinese takeaway has to be my favourite in Dromore. The food is always delicious and never had any complaints about it. The staff are always so friendly and remember my order everytime I come in. Amazing job!

Very good Chinese, the pork curry is great quality with very lean pork and the chips are light and crispy. We pre-ordered our food and it was ready in the 15 minutes they stated. Good prices, service and when we gave a tip he put it in the charity box. This business has been going a long time because it provides good service and food.

I loved this place!! The food was usually quite good.. my partner and I got a Chinese as we usually do most saturdays. Saturday past will see the end of me ever crossing their door!! My partner and I thought that there was something off with their chips so we only had a few and decided to try our mains to which we only had a few mouthfuls. There was something off. We thought maybe they'd tried a new oil of some description ( obviously not jumping straight to conclusions that the food was off, as it's been grand before). Arrives Sunday morning and my partner rings me to tell me he doesn't feel the best, within the hour I felt unwell too. Never in my life have I been as ill as I have been!! ( never had food poisoning before) both me and my partner were very ill. I'm not sure what happened with our food on Saturday but I know I will never be back!

My favourite for Chinese food, affordable prices, friendly and fast service. A great wee takeaway. Always willing to customise dishes to your tastes, even half portions and combined dishes. Card payments make it simple as the cash points are often not working in the square.

I have used this takeaway for many years and have had a lot of good meals. They are honest when you ring down about how long it takes for the meal to be prepared. I have found that the quality of meals is slightly better than the other takeaway in the square which is reflected in the queues on a Saturday night. This is the reason I have remained loyal to them over the years which may now change. In the last six months the quality has gone down and also the portions contain mainly veg and very little meat. If you are putting the price and reducing the meal people will soon vote with their feet. Hopefully they will see sense and go back to the old ways.

Great service & fabulous food always especially the Kung po chicken or the vegetable curry or the honey chilli chicken. Good value for money. Friday nights busy but always served with a smile.

A typical small town chinese. Expect to pay £5.5 to 6 per dish. Always order on telephone. Otherwise expect to wait 20-25 minutes.

I have been calling with phuns for a number of years now but I couldn't believe how busy it was when I rang first and left it for 30 minutes as a always tell you 20 minutes it was a hour but it was worth waiting for

Try end this out one night, wasn't bad. Chow mien wasn't to my taste but prawn toast was night. I will prob try again.

Typical of the area and not bad food. Can have issues with people from bars of late on sat night or Friday night

I'm raging. Just ordered from Phuns. Sent my son down on bike to collect it!!!! Gave him wrong order!!! Phoned them and they didn't care!!!!! I've paid for something I can't eat. Told me to send my son back to get right order. It's your fault!!! Least you can do is deliver my correct order to me. But oh no!!!! U don't care. we live in Dromore and have a business in the food industry. If we were to treat our clients like this we would be out of business. Shame on you!!! Phuns. I'm voting with my feet. I will not be returning you unhelpful human beings

Expensive compared to other fast food outlets in the area with smaller portions containing free samples of short and medium length black hairs .... Rotten.com

Nice food but not enough gravy and curry sauce on the chips and rice .waiting time bit long but that is most Chinese

As a newly diagnosed diabetic (T2) I thought I would have a Chinese for my weekly treat, I got Steak, chips and a spring roll Huge portions, more than I'm allowed but by god they were fantastic, I'm drooling at the though right now. Excellent service. And my blood sugar only rose slightly. Phun's Welcome is my new guilty pleasure.

Use this takeaway when visiting family in Dromore. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Huge selection on the menu and everything we have tried has been good or very good. This is a very busy place and it is worth phoning your order before uplifting.

Phoned order as usual on Saturday night & when we got it home not what ordered. Phoned back & got no joy. The attitude was thats tough.Obvisiously my business isn't important to them!!!!!!!!will not be back

first the four star rating....usual chinese carry out, nothing special. secondly, customer service, teenage girl served me and a number of other people while I was waiting, excellent service, she was very polite to every customer, wished them a good evening and sounded genuinely enthusiastic, even though she was extemely busy at the counter and on the phone, Well done. thirdly quality of food, everything I ordered was perfect. Overall, a very good experience, will definitely use again.

Fancied a chinese so popped in for take away beef chowmain and vegetable chowmain nothing overly tasty not full with lovely chinese veg no just onion carrot and broccoli come on where are the beansprouts, sprouting peas bamboo. Some of us are cultured and know what real chinese food is like. Would have been lovely to sample something original. Owners lovely and I was served quickly and given a gorgeous calander. Nice if you like bright red sweet n sour sauce and half and half.

Regular visitor to Phuns over a period of years and never disappointed, except with the length of time you have to wait sometimes. A good complaint perhaps.......

I have it on good authority that the hygiene standard's meet with all Health and safety food regulation's. I myself and family have been eating from Phuns for the last 18 years and never had any issues with food poisoning. the service is friendly and reliable offering excellent value for money.

Wouldn't eat out of here again further to reading in local newspaper that it was very unclean and staff had no facilities even to wash hands! Not sure if their 'chicken' is actually 'chicken' if you know what I mean... Some locals think it's nice which says it all really...
