Pho - The City in City of London, Westminster

Went with a couple of friend for din dins. When we first arrived they said we had to wait an hour to be seated, I asked for a booking and after a lil tug of war he agreed to seat us in an hours time. Now, unfortunately I wasn't able to try the pho because I told them I had a coriander intolerance and they absolutely refused to sell me anything with coriander in it. (So be warned, if you wanna take that risk don't say anything 😅...I play with my life so its good). I ended up have the wok friend chicken and prawns noodles, which were okay....a bit basic and a bit dry and definitely not authentic. The spring rolls and calamari were delicious 10/10. I give them that! I tried my friends hot and spicy soup which again was okay but I didn't feel like the food transported me anywhere.

Was my favourite Pho for years, but it's actually closed. Would be great if the opening times would be updated as we went there for nothing...

Loved the choice and freshness. The portions were generous. Great price and delicious food.

LOVED the vegan curry it was full of flavour and will be going back.

This is the 4th Pho out of its chain we've been to... Firstly, the location itself was very nice, wasn't hard to find nor was it too far the main stations nearby which are: St. Paul's, Mansion House, Bank, which are all Underground stations and finally Bank DLR. Seeing Pho is located within One New Change shopping centre, there are many other stores and restaurants closeby. The place itself is one of the better looking structures out of the many we've visited, it has more than enough seating for larger parties alongside a couple. The only drawback was with its quality of food, it's far the worst we've tasted out of its chain, not sure why this is seeing it technically should be on par with the rest, perhaps we visited on the wrong day and normally the food is what we'd expect but it's still slightly surprising. All in all, it wasn't bad but could of been a better in certain ways.

Tasty comfort food, reasonably priced, decent portions, and friendly service. We got served quite quickly considering it was lunch hour. Would come here again.

I go there every week. The food seemed to get less and less. I have always now had to ask for extra noodles but they only came now and then. Food was extremely slow this time but normally they come promptly. I do think this restaurant is particularly busy given it is in the middle of the city hence the experiences I had have been hit and miss. What undoubtly is great is definitely the food. Food never disappointed me in terms of the taste and I guess that's why I keep on going back!

Excellent food and a lovely waiter should have made this a lovely experience with my family. However the receptionist refused to allow us to sit in the warm part of the restaurant, we were made to sit at the back despite explaining we had sat there on a previous occasion and found it too cold.

I never usually write reviews... but the service at this place was dreadful. I sat for 20 minutes, nobody came to take my order/ask if I wanted a drink or even give me a menu. After 20 minutes I had to go up to the counter to get a menu myself. The waiter finally came to take my order and honestly a plank of wood has more personality. Completely brain dead! Food was okay - wouldn’t go back.

Perfect restaurant, it's spacious, easily accessible and nice and calm on a Saturday night! Come out of the place and you're pretty much staring at St Paul's, it's that close and the Central line station is just round the corner. The food is always good!

This was the best meal we had on a recent visit to London. The beef brisket pho was superb, full of flavour and a generous portion.

I had a terrible experience today. The bill included 12.5% service charge (optional). The amount they charged was in fact 17.5%, which is 5% extra than they claimed. Apparently it was automatically calculated instead of an error. We only paid for the food in the end (see photo).The manager said it was up to the clients how much they wish to pay, I'm speechless 😡😡😡 I wish I had taken a photo of the extra charge on their bill.

Food is good, but service could improve. The people who work at taking your order are nice and gentle, and they're very helpful. However, once the order is taken, goods is served by less careful staff. Staff who gives you the wrong order, or who serves dishes putting their fingers inside... Not going again.

Decepcionante comida en pho street Paul's. Pedimos fideos que salieron rápidamente, pero el caldo estaba tibio en lugar de caliente, lo que significaba que cuando llegamos a la mitad, era como un charco cálido con poco sabor y patada. No nos preguntaron cómo estaban nuestras comidas, e incluso después de escribir una queja por correo electrónico a pho directamente, no recibimos ninguna respuesta. Muy mal servicio al cliente, me quedaré con wagamamas en el futuro.

No soy un gran admirador de la comida vietnamita incluso después de visitar Vietnam, pero a veces tengo ganas. Esta es mi segunda vez aquí y no veo por qué es tan popular. Fui por el wok - fideos fritos con una Coca-Cola Light y el pastel de queso de maracuyá para el postre con un americano de una sola toma. Los fideos eran sosos, insípidos y no geniales. Wagamama cerca son mucho mejores. La tarta de queso era impactante, congelada y muy dura. Acaba de sacarlo de un congelador y tuve que cortarlo con una cuchara. ¡Cómo pueden servir algo como esto está más allá de mí! El americano no era un americano débil que pedí. Fue un desagradable café vietnamita que creó un desastre y se derramó de la forma en que se servía. Horrible. El servicio fue agradable, pero tuvieron problemas ya que estaba más ocupado. Buen restaurante. Buena atmósfera. Iluminación tenue y mesas altas de madera. Sin embargo, mi última vez aquí.

Doing vegan January and they do have lots of choices. Opt in the spicy tofu mushroom pho, with all the fresh herbs and it was delighted flavoursome. Its not real pho cos it will never be as pho is beef broth traditionally but eat it as an asian spicy noodle soup (veg) i would recommended. Hope the chain will keep their vegan menu after Jan!

Extended family meal, very well looked after by a most friendly team. Drinks a little slow to arrive, food first class however. My one quibble: the age range options on the service questionnaire top out at 50+! Hey guys, over half the adult human race is in your “so old we don’t think you’ll like our food or come into our restaurant” category!!!Joking apart: a great meal, thanks.

Una tarde encantadora Pho. Amplio y cómodo. Deliciosas ensaladas sabrosas. Pho lleno de sabor, acaba de calentar el vientre muy bien. La comida llegó caliente, rápida y bien presentada y llena de sabores. Mucha salsa en la mesa para elegir. También una página completa de menú vegano y menú infantil. Genial para todas las preferencias de comida. Más estilo de comida callejera pero eso; s lo mejor para comer.

Hax a family meal with my wife and kid and the staff were very attentive. We ordered which the wok fried noodles and the Pho Cin which was reasonable but could be better and cooked with more fragrant flavours and spices. The noodles were quite bland so i drowned them in chilli oil and Siracha sauce, this nearly burned my mouth off but i needed some flavour on the chicken and noodles. I did enjoy the crispy chicken wings and spring rolls wrapped in lettuce. Perfect restaurant for a casual meal and the staff were great, top marks for the team, but food needs improvement.

Always a good place for vietnamese food. Their spring rolls and friend rice are amazing!

Cenamos aquí esta noche con dos amigos y un bebé pequeño. Todo el personal era muy servicial, pero la directora fue excepcional. Tómese el tiempo para explicar, dele servilletas adicionales para el bebé y, en general, sea una persona encantadora. Realmente disfruté nuestra noche. Definitivamente volveremos!

During the London mayor’s show we stopped by for lunch in this branch of pho. The place was packed but still we had a great service thanks to the manager(I don’t know her name, I believe that she is polish) and the staff. It’s good to see a chain restaurant providing such great service. And of course the food is good too!

Waiting time is a joke. 30min later after we had our starters we were asked if we'd like to order something else. Our mains came like 25mins later. In overall we spend here 70 minutes, witnessing some customer leaving in fury this "restaurant". Great chain, I love PHO, but this branch must be seriously lacking any basic management. Food good as anywhere else in pho, though. Brilliant.

Really nice place to visit after visiting St.Pauls. Get really busy at times, so might have to queue (normally after work). Quick service and cheap. Staff are wonderful and polite, friendly. Recommend for anyone.

Food was quick to arrive and tasty

I’ve only been here for their takeaway service. I ordered two different food items separately as I ordered one for my friend back at work. The service was a bit slow (they just opened so should be ready) as the person on till wasn’t there for a good 10 mins. When my orders were finished, the person who finished packing it called my name and I went to collect. She asked the other girl on till if I’ve paid and then reluctantly gave it to me. I’m sorry, but if I hadn’t paid it wouldn’t have gone through their system to the kitchen so I don’t understand why she had to double check. A bit disappointing as there are other Vietnamese places which are so quick with service. Also their water tap was running the whole time I was waiting which is such a waste of water. The staff were even looking at the running tap and no one switched it off.

The food in general was very nice. The service was very good and the staff were very courteous. Also they are very good when advising against food that may have potential allergens. Even the rare ones.👍

Amazing food and ambience, worth trying...

I took two friends and one enjoyed her food whilst the other was disappointed. I got a lot of stares and they asked I not take pictures of the restaurant despite the fact no nobody was in the photo. I explained it was for google and received a shrug. The most disturbing element was the lady at the front said welcome to ‘Pha’ - I would have thought the pronunciation was a prerequisite of working at front house. Second time at Pho and will certainly be the last. Location is great and service seemed adequate - nothing special.

We had an early dinner, around 5:30pm on a weekday, and the restaurant was practically empty. But after seating us, the wait staff took forever to take our orders. They seemed more interested in chatting with each other, even though I tried several times to catch their attention -- first by looking at them (which is usually sufficient in most restaurants) and then by waving my hand (several times). They did come around while we were eating whether we needed something else, but oddly they did not ask how the food was; I would have told the truth: it was a letdown.I had fried spring rolls and beef brisket pho. Both were not as good as the (high) price would indicate. I was expecting the pho to be really good, after all that's what the restaurant is called. The soup was bland and the meat was rubbery; I had to add sriracha to add flavour. This restaurant is very near my office and I love Vietnamese food but I will not be coming back to this place. If only the food was very good, I would have been forgiving of the bad service; or if the service was outstanding, I would have been more tolerant of the bland food. Unfortunately, this restaurant offers neither.

Atmosphere and service are good. I'm rating it 3 stars because the food is not as good as some other Viet places I've been to. My favourite is Banh Mi Bay.

Great food, buzzing atmosphere and very friendly staff. Bit of a delay in getting our food but there was eight of us. Great place to good for lunch.

Visited here recently as part of a birthday celebration, and needless to say, I shall not be celebrating the service here anytime soon. The waiting staff were unfortunately standoffish at best, and seemed irked by any minor request. One of the dishes came much later than the rest, with no apology, additional tap water was requested and yet never delivered, and a beer also not delivered which was requested, leading me to request from the front of house (which, in my opinion should've been complimentary given the inconvenience). None of these things in isolation would be that large a problem, but the overarching demeanor of the staff really dampened the experience, and I'm sorry to say, unfortunately ruined my night. This was the first time I've visited a Pho, and with regret, it may well be the last. The food, when it did arrive, wasn't bad at all though, I will concede that. Fully appreciate that towards the end of the day staff are ready to go home; they're human, I get it, but this shouldn't impact on the quality of service, which in this instance, I daresay it did.

Buen menú No soy un gran admirador de la comida vietnamita, ya que me parece bastante soso en comparación con otros alimentos en la región. Buen restaurante en el centro comercial. Tenue iluminación. Mesas altas en el interior y asientos más normales en el exterior. Sorprendentemente, no tan ocupado un viernes por la noche. Barato. Buena música y ambiente. Limpiar. El servicio rápido y la comida llegó rápido. Me gusta el hecho de poder ver nutrición y calorías. Tenía los fideos fritos de tofu. Porción de buen tamaño. Fresco y bien hecho. Simplemente sosa, pero esta es una preferencia. Nada mal. Volvería otra vez, pero no a un lugar que yo frecuentaría. Personal agradable y buen servicio.

I am Vietnamese and I am speechless. First time I visited a pho place and left 99% of the pho untouched. The noodle was hard and not edible, brisket was cooked incorrectly, meatball was extremely salty, broth was just...terrible. I sincerely have no idea why this place got 4 stars. I am utterly disappointed. Tasted worse than the instant pho my 16 yo niece cooked for me. I am still in shock. I am now officially too scared to try other pho places.....

Lovely fresh food and great service. The spicy homemade lemonade was really good. Coffee made Vietnamese style but they must use a different kind of bean to other Vietnamese restaurants in London as without condensed milk it tasted more like Italian style coffee. But I'd definitely go back.

Pho is consistently good. Noodle soups are great with fresh bits on the side to add in. Filling satisfying lunch.

El menú se veía realmente bueno e interesante y tenía muchas opciones vegetarianas y veganas, por eso lo elegí, pero fue realmente decepcionante. El pho que pedí era supuestamente "picante" pero en su lugar era simplemente insípido y sin sabor. Incluso con la adición de siracha, pasta de chile y lima. El caldo de pho de mi amigo estaba grasiento y no sabroso. No pude terminar la comida y después de comer, los dos nos sentimos incómodos por mucho tiempo. Simplemente comida realmente terrible. Definitivamente no lo recomendaría.

Sooo disappointed. My daughter and family love Wagamama dishes, so we decided to give a go to Pho. We just couldn't believe how much flavour food lacked. We felt deflated after dinner, that's how bad it was. On top of that, we were automatically charged over six pounds service charges for a table of four. It was all so wrong. Not going back and would not recommend to anyone.

I came here around 6:50pm. I ordered two beef Phos and spring rolls. After 30 mins later we found that our order was forgotten. However, the waitress didn’t say even a simple sorry. I still angry with horrible service. The value for price is also bad. I will never come here again!

A very disappointing pho. The rice noodles were sticking together, and I almost gasped at the look of the toppings. Some of the cilantro had wilted and the bean sprouts were a bit brown. I’m not usually picky, but if I can notice that at a quick glance, it means it’s not fresh to me. I also found the dish quite bland, but maybe that’s because I had a veggie one?!

Nice place for Lunch. I went to here 3 times, I always get positive experience, the food is traditional Vietnam style. Recommend!

I imagine this is busy mid-week, but I visited on a Saturday lunch time & there were only 2 other people there! Its tucked away in what looked like a small shopping mall, so not an easy find. Staff were very friendly, helpful & explained the menu & how to eat the various options. The menu was sufficient, but its a chain. Maybe I missed it, but a lunch special or dish of the day would have been nice.

Not the best pho branch resturant I have been too.. the food was blander then usual but the resturant was packed the kids food we ordered was very dry and bland. I wouldn't recommend getting any thing from the kids menu

The starters, pho and drinks here are very good, the service excellent. The prices are steep and it gets very busy -- there are plenty of seats but it fills up at lunchtime. Pho was delicious.

Cracking food and great service, incredibly busy at lunch time sensibly priced, wife and I visited often.

Oh dear. It's clean and relatively fast, but sadly the version they serve of their namesake dish is nothing special, and of course in this location you're charged an arm and a leg for average. We tried three different varieties of the phở and so sadly this can't be chalked up to just one "bad experience". There are, quite literally, seven better places for phở within a mile's radius of this place.

Guys what happened with your food? Your spicy three mushroom soup used to be the best. Now it’s just bland and not spicy. I had a few times recently thinking maybe you just had a bad day, hit the tastes has just changed and it feels watered down.. not coming back for your soups again.

This is up stairs in the one new change building - google maps might not get you there first time. well worth finding. good choice for veggies and interesting and a few interesting dishes which you might not have tried before

The pho here is solid and I like the option to “customise” by adding extras items in it on Deliveroo. The summer rolls are delicious and I also recommend the chicken papaya salad. Healthy, quick and tasty option.

El personal aquí parece extremadamente confundido. Fui en un momento en que estaba casi vacío. La mayoría de mi pedido llegó, pero mi bebida no. Cuando pregunté al respecto, me miraron como si hablara otro idioma. Además, cuando entré (estaba sola), ella inexplicablemente me preguntó si quería una mesa para tres. No estoy seguro de en qué planeta está esta gente, para ser honesto.

03/2019 absolutely lovely! I've been here on a Sunday afternoon and absolutely enjoyed it. The waitress was cheerful and friendly and gave suitable advise in regards of choices and was absolutely well informed in terms of allergies/ingredients. The food was served quickly (in reasonable time to be prepared freshly) and tasted really great, portion sizes are generous. Compared to other Thai places, "spicy" at Pho is very human, so even someone who does not eat spicy on a regular basis could enjoy it. People who like to eat really hot dishes can season to their taste with provided condiments and chilies. Most importantly (at least to me) almost all dishes are gluten free (accredited by Coeliacs UK) and dairy free , definately will come back and try the rest of the menu.

Krásně prostředí a rychlá obsluha. Pokud přijdete v období oběda, tak musíte počítat, že si počkáme na volný stůl. Jídlo je vynikající a nabídky je velká. Cena odpovídá kvalitě jídla - přijatelná.

The pho was not really hot and the meat was hard to chew. Overall, just an OK pho.

Love Clerkenwell Pho but wanted to book a table for dinner so reserved one here. Arrived on time to be told that they were closed due to a fire that morning. Advised them hat I'd booked and why I wasn't informed - they were busy apparently, not apologetic at all. Said they 'might' be open in 30 minutes. We went elsewhere.

This was the first time I’ve eaten here and it was a pretty positive experience overall. The staff were friendly and quick to take the food order. The drinks arrived rapidly, however the starters took nearly 40mins to arrive. They were well prepared and tasted good. The mains arrived shortly afterwards and again, were well presented and flavoursome. Very reasonably priced and good food, just a pity it different arrive somewhat quicker.

Had some soupy noodles, extremely tasty soup and food came extremely quick. May be beneficial to possess chopstick skills

This restsurant is right by my work and I've been a few times now. It is always so popular, you need to arrive early for lunch in one hour because the wait for a table can be up to 20 minutes! The aroma as you walk through the door is fantastic and you can see through to the kitchen area and can tell from both those things that they cook the food fresh and they also have a whole A4 page on the back of the menu of so many drinks and smoothies. Service is hit and miss - sometimes we have been served quickly and sometimes they take ages to come to us even to take our order and we have to bolt our food so we are not late back to work. Service speed depends on who is serving that day. We take the chance though as despite that the food is fabulous - so many dishes, there is nothing not to like.

Although the place didn’t have the authentic flair that I prefer, the chicken pho was hearty and delicious. It’s rather basic when it first arrives, so I advise you to use the accoutrements that are provided.

The food was mediocre, but friendly staff, although a tad slow. Pho was okay, but the herbs were not at all fresh, same goes for the bun salad. If you want good, authentic Vietnamese food, this is not the place for you.

Abbiamo scoperto grazie ad amici l'esistenza di questa catena di ristoranti, e ogni volta ci torniamo molto volentieri. Sapori freschi e ben equilibrati, che spaziano mantenendo leggeri. Una vera scoperta.

Just a chain. Pho was very watery and quite dear. I recommend you go to authentic Pho restaurants past Liverpool street station towards Hackney. They are cheaper and much more richer in taste and texture.

Broken rice with Chicken "Ca-ri" is the best. Creamy and yummy with mushrooms and nuts in it
