Been going for 35 years , simply the best fish and chips money can buy and after 35 years there still as good now as they were all at time ago !!

Got 8 battered sausage + loads of chips peas and curry everything was perfect other than the peas they was hard but very reasonable priced.

First visit tonight. Best chips I have ever had in Donny. Great value. Definite repeat customer

Use this chip shop regularly. It's a small shop, looks basic from the outside especially compared to the neon lit chip shop 100yds away, but the food is better, cheaper (almost half the price) and the couple that run it are very friendly. Only open Wed-Sat 5pm-9pm and only take cash, not card but well worth a visit.

Still the Fish and Chips in town, I have not been for a while the quality never changes excellent quality staff as always fantastic. The Fish is best in Doncaster by far.

Very busy on a Friday night- the queue was out of the door- but well worth the wait. The fish had a genuine “wow” factor- the batter was incredibly tasty and the cod inside perfectly cooked. The chips weren’t as crispy as I like, but tasted wonderful all the same. Absolutely top class; I’ll definitely go back when I’m next in Doncaster.

The fish was amongst the best I’ve ever had- perfectly cooked and incredible batter. The chips were delicious but not quite as crunchy as I would like; but I suppose that’s down to personal preference. Either way, this place is worth a visit for the “wow factor” fish alone; it’s also very good value, at £7.90 for cod and large chips. The queue outside says it all, really; I will definitely be back next time I’m in Doncaster.

Came here for the first time yesterday after hearing such good reviews. It didn't disappoint! The fish & chips was definitely one of the best I've ever tasted! The batter especially was delicious! Oh my, the food here is perfection! My mum took me every week as a child to have their homemade fishcake, chips and curry sauce. Truly lovely food. I don't live in Doncaster now, but I travel over 30 miles for this delightful treat. Soooo worth it!

This is a friendly place to get your fish deals. Good value for your money and I have never had a bad meal. Call on my way from work usually around closing time but the meal has always been hot and always tastes freshly cooked. Portions a little on the large side but some people would appreciate that. Staff friendly and the service is quick. Try this fish shop you’ll not be disappointed!

Ive grown up with this chip shop being on my front doorstep living on the same street. I still love the sausage specials they have to offer as they are just enough. They offer a wide range of specials and the portion sizes are more than enough. The chippy is run by a lovely family and I cannot fault the service and quality of food.

I had the 'Mini' Fish 'n' Chips (inc. mushy peas). It was excellent quality, plentiful and cheap @ £4.30. I almost (but not quite) had difficulty eating it all. Unfortunately I later had to suffer the spectacle of seeing Doncaster Rovers beat my team, Bristol Rovers, 4-1!

This guy cooks a mean Fish & Chip. Probably the most generous portions I have seen. Could feed two from one portion. Fish is cooked well and chips are done to perfection. It all adds up to a great meal.

By far the best chippy I have ever had. The chips are amazing and the fish is more like a whale, the batter is also amazing. Fish cakes are huge and very tasty. The owners are lovely too, couldnt be better.

Visited last Friday,arrived and ordered a very lightly battered Haddock,Done to perfection,chips also.Always a good meal and at a reasonable price.Service very good,will always go back.

We havnt visited this place for a couple of years now so tonight we thought we would change that. We had fish, curry and a breadcake along with a sausage special and a breadcake. It was cooked perfectly and the fish didn't have too much batter which made my partner happy. The food at this place is beautiful and it never fails to satisfy us. The prices are very reasonable and The portion sizes are perfect and plentiful. The staff are excellent, even remembering us from 2 years ago. Overall a fantastic place to call for food and we will definitely be returning, we wont leave it as long this time.

When I last worked in Doncaster I used to come here every Friday lunchtime for top quality, good value portions of fish and chips but found it closed on a recent Friday lunchtime return visit, with it now only opening at teatime till late. Noooo!! I thought, the best chippy in Donny must have changed hands!?I needn't have worried, it happened that I was passing through Doncaster late last Tuesday and after not having had anything to eat all day I thought I'd pop in for a fish supper, to find that it's still the same friendly welcoming owners, and still top quality and great value fish and chips.It turns out that Paul and his family have been frying here for 29 years now and have decided to reduce their opening hours to make life a bit less hectic - can't fault them for that!

I have been coming to this Fish shop for over 20 years. It is the best plaice to go for a chippy tea. Especially after a busy day at work and can't be bothered to cook.

Used to go every week when I worked in Doncaster. Best chippy in town by a mile. Not been for a couple of years, popped in last night for a fish special. Still as brilliant as I remembered. Peters mini fish is as big as most chippys standard fish. Just the best. Enjoy.

Been going here years and I’ve always been amazed by be portion size here it’s absolutely amazing I’d be surprised of you got a bigger fish anywhere in Yorkshire for the price if you order fish n chips i dare say it could feed two moderate eaters easily but for me it’s just a superb filling portion for myself go here all the time in my opinion there is only one fish n chip shop in doncaster better than this and that is quayside in the market place, only draw back of peters is it only opens from 17.00 till about 22.30 but 100% recommend
