Really lovely food on the island. Highly recommended!!

Had a fabulous meal here last night (15th March) Excellent food and wow their desserts! Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff very attentive and friendly. Will definitely visit again soon.

We always visit Pendletons when on the island. As ever given a warm friendly welcome from the owner Steve. We joined fellow diners for a superb meal I had the catch of the day a stunning pistachio crusted cod. My friends all had different mains and were equally impressed. Our server Blaine was so friendly and attentive full marks to him. We finished with a divine desert. A lovely evening and experience. If you’re visiting the Island you must try this restaurant you will not be disappointed. Thanks to Steve and the team ( Blaine Saffy and James)

A realy pleasant evening with extremely pleasant front of house staff and excellent food. I would happily recommend Pendletons and look forward to our next opportunity to visit.

First time here tonight. What a hidden delight. Can't believe I've lived here nearly 17 years and only just had a first visit. Staff...amazing....from being greeted to being seen out. Food....delicious. I had beef bourginon...omg and then lemon posset....heavenly. Please support this lovely restaurant. Will be back...need to try the steak.

This was our first visit to Pendletons and we had a wonderful evening. Lovely welcoming staff and atmosphere. The food was delicious and being vegetarian, I was impressed to see more than one option on the small menu. The homemade bread was delicious. We will be back when we’re next on the island.

Excellent service great night out in Shanklin. We are regulars at pendaltons and are never disappointed. Team pendaltons are friendly and the food a delight to eat.

you do need to pre-book but when dined here twice while in Shanklin, The menu is English and it is well cooked and delicious. Thre owner and other staff were very friendly and efficient Really nice.

Nice service. Lovely choice of food. Had a lovely time. Couldn’t fault it. Was our anniversary and were given a free nightcap which was a lovely touch. We both chose different meals and we both enjoyed our choice.

Had a great meal here tonight, the soup was amazing and the steak main course was absolutely beautiful. We opted for a third course and had the crumble, my goodness it was so nice , the topping on the crumble was so nice and I really wish I had the recipe. A great meal with family

While staying on the Isle of Wight for 2 weeks we had the pleasure of eating here 3 times and every evening the food and service was the best.

We were recommended to visit this restaurant. It opened at 5.30 pm and we arrived at 5.50 pm There were two couples there already. We ordered drinks and placed our order of just two main courses. Meanwhile other couples arrived and placed orders for starters and whilst we were still waiting for our food their starters were delivered. At 6.35 PM we eventually received our meals. I had ordered a pork chop option with vegetables and unfortunately it was overcooked and without any sauce. Even with a serrated knife it was hard to cut. I complained and although was offered an alternative I declined due to the long wait I already had. My wife had ordered sea bass which again came without any form of sauce. The fish was nice but the whole meal, potatoes and vegetables was very dry. We were both very disappointed. In all fairness I wasn't charged for my meal but it spoiled our evening out as I came away hungry . We're on holiday and not knowing the area we were guided by reccomendation. Unfortunately we do not feel able to reccomend this restaurant to anyone after our experience.

Always make a point of eating here when we are on the Island and we have never been disappointed. Has to be the No1 restaurant here! Food and staff top notch!

Beautifully cooked excellent food and a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to friends and family ( and you!) No rushing you out of the door, tables positioned nicely. Good selection of drinks, very clean throughout..... Service was attentive, friendly, polite and with a smile. Considering all the above, very good value for money.

Had a great evening meal with Local Family having made the trip to the Island from Lincolnshire. Steve and his staff were amazing. Loved the location and the ambience of the restaurant. Oh......and the food was fantastic and great value for money. Great work Guys I'm sure we will be back when we next visit.

We were on holiday, staying in Shanklin and thought to try Pendletons. We are so pleased that we did - we went a second time and nearly a third (holiday cut short!). The food is fantastic. The staff are friendly and attentive and the whole experience is just the best! Pendletons is our favourite Shanklin restaurant and will return in the future.

Spot on - really good menu with varied choices. Chicken Caesar salad starter was great, beautiful croutons and not drowned in dressing. My main course of Scarecrow Pie was so different and the additional cheese just topped it off. Hubby's mackerel pate and chicken with bubble and squeak was in his words, the best he's had in a very long while. The bonus of the night was the cheese and biscuits - £9.50, definitely enough for 2, plus the £3.50 for a large port was excellent

Spent three nights staying in Shanklin Old Village and went to Pendletons on the second night and enjoyed the meal so much we booked again the day following for our third night. It is a no fuss restaurant serving excellent well cooked meals, with extremely friendly staff. I had a meat course the first evening and a vegetarian meal the second time. Both were equally as good. A nice touch is the way, ( i presume the young owner or manager), stands at the door as each person leaves to say goodbye.

This restaurant was recommended to me by the owners of the hotel I'm staying in. I googled it and the menu looked tasty. I was able to easily book online which was great. Stephen and his team were great and very welcoming and easy going. I had the soup of the day to start and it came with a really tasty home made roll. The soup was so tasty. I had steak for main with peppercorn sauce which was perfect. Good value for money and perfect service 👌

Just didn’t live up to the reviews for me .. my husband enjoyed his with no complaints… I thought the chicken was very bland and had a almost boiled look … it came with a little sauce but not nearly enough … did not enjoy the potato cakes no taste …. Enjoyed my crumble for dessert…I thought it was very expensive for what we got … staff were friendly… I would probably go again but not have the chicken

Modern clean fresh restaurant with friendly attentive staff & superb food. Toilets modern & clean. The dark treacle sticky toffee pudding was the best we’ve ever had 😍. Thanks to the superb team & we’ll be back for sure.

Shocking,… never had a microwaved pork chop in my life! This chop hasn’t seen a grill or a grilled,…shame on you chef!

We are so happy we booked dinner here. Great vibe, great ingredients, prepared very well. Service was just right. From the Greek salad (with just the acidity), to a fabulous pea / spinach lasagna and a great steak.

Was quite a dissapointing evening, was met at reception, but could not find our reservation, then told to "go and sit over there" ordered Red Mullet and Pork bottle of wine and sparkly water. The wine arrived pretty sharply, the waitor (who was very odd)...

Food was eatable, nothing special about... we were not served the wine, were given the bottle of wine - just placed on the table. Leaving this aside, the staff was polite and nice, that's why the 3 stars, as the food definetly is not worth more, considering the price.

Vegetarian and meat dishes both managed to be bland and underwhelming. Garlic that came with the camembert was not cooked and would not squeeze from the pods. No chilli flavour on the prawn starter. The mains were bland and tasteless. Did not try the sweet...

Pre book, that’s my recommendation, had a lovely meal, with great service, not expensive for the quality of food you receive.

Delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, good service

Very friendly but not in your face. Food was amazing. We both had fish it was really well cooked. I truly hope they have a a busy and prosperous season as we all know these small businesses need it. We hope to return very soon.

Good bistro with a nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and good food. Two of us enjoyed the chicken main whilst the third enjoyed the seabass special. All freshly cooked. Presentation of deserts a little lacking but would happily return

Simple and welcoming room, completely professional service and above all a short menu offering good fresh produce, I enjoyed an original vegetable gratin combining lentils, tomatoes, mushrooms, sweet potatoes etc. followed by cream lemon, red fruits. Pendletons is a small but well appointed restaurant, the staff were freindly, the food excellent both in the quality of the maeal but also in presentsation and service, not cheap but worth the money

Pendletons is a small restaurant in Shanklin Village with around 20 or so covers. As such the service is intimate and personal by knowledgeable staff. They source local produce which is well prepared, cooked and served with a lot of care. The decor is bistro...
