Came for dinner while staying overnight in the area, following recommendation from the hotel we were staying at. Could not fault the food, service and homely atmosphere in this friendly pub. We had the stuffed pork and the faggots, both were well presented and very tasty. Good food and a nice pint to boot!!

Cosy Corner Restaurant

03/03/2019: Another excellent dinner in this lovely and indeed cosy restaurant. The service is kind and attentive and the food is always exceptional! Remember to book as it can get very busy!
29/01/2019: I took my husband and 3 children for dinner on saturday at 6.3pm, when they had just opened. We went early to avoid annoying romantic couples who came later. But as it happens, this is a wonderful family place: the children come great home cooked fresh healthy child sized meals. The service was fab! And the kids were so quiet and happy all night, that when the restaurant filled up no one battered a eye. Thank You for making us so welcome and enjoying the most wonderful dinner out. I had the duck to start and a perfectly cooked fillet with stilton sauce: highly recommended. Best Night Out for a while!!! Thank You.

The Nags Head Inn

06/11/2018: Had travelled up to see family in Berriew over bonfire weekend,sister-in-law booked table for five people late Sunday afternoon at 3:45pm. Three of us ordered the lighty spicy crab cakes, very tasty, one had the cauliflower and sage soup, the other one of us ordered the rillettes of salmon with trimmings very nice we enjoyed all our starters. Now on to the mains, the beef and the lamb had finished so we ordered three pork dinners, one chicken supreme, and one duck, with seasonal vegetables of cauliflower cheese and mixed greens, the vegetables could have been cooked a tad longer to our liking but were still good. The supplement price of £5 for the duck was taken off because of no beef and lamb. We enjoyed all our meals, very filling, a few soft drinks and a bottle of wine and a bottle of water helped it along. No desserts, the food was from the fixed or set price menu I think, ranging from about £13 to about £24 for 3 courses roughly if I remember right. Different menus and specials again if I remember. We have been here 3 or 4 times now over the past couple of years still good, staff friendly and helpful. For 5 starters 5 mains with drinks it was a very reasonable price, hope to return again in the future.
27/02/2019: We had been out walking along the Montgomery Canal my wife and her sister and myself. We called in for a loo break and a drink. We have eaten here a few times in the past, but just called in for drinks this time. Friendly staff, and place was welcoming as usual. Sunday was busy but we got seated and rested up for awhile looking forward to walk back as the weather was very good as well. Hope the next time to stay longer and have a meal once again.
