Peking Diner in Bromley

Always order our Chinese from here as food so lovely. But tonight had a delivery & the food was cold & nowhere near as good. Beef curry was more onions than meat & sauce was so think so ended up in bin.Very disappointed with everything we ordered.

We’ve always gone to this restaurant for the all you can eat buffet, and their starters are out of this world.For obvious reasons, we ordered a takeaway this evening and added up what the bill was meant to be before going, but my wife collected the order and paid for it and was overcharged which I only confirmed by double checking the prices from an up to date menu when we had got home.We ordered a beef curry and was given a chicken curry, so great attention to detail.Overall the food tasted OK but nothing wow, it’s taught us a lesson that we will only use them to have a sit in all you can eat buffet.

Ordered a takeaway very early tonight, Xmas Eve.......ordered two dishes with King Prawns included.....both dishes came with fish instead of king prawns!!!!!I’ve tried for an hour to call the restaurant to complain but unable to get through.....very disappointed as I’d heard the restaurant was supposed to be good....quite the reverse .....very poor indeed.....will not use them again

Teníamos la opción de comer tanto como desees, y los entrantes eran abundantes y sabrosos. Hay un plato de sopa y tuve mi sopa agridulce habitual que no me decepcionó. Me gustó el hecho de que los guisantes no estaban demasiado cocidos y todavía tenían agujeros en la sopa. Luego vino el pato aromático con panqueques que estaba bueno, y luego el plato principal que contenía platos calientes de ternera, y también langostinos y pollo con champiñones. Todo estaba recién hecho y muy sabroso, y el servicio excelente como siempre.

Pedí comida para llevar anoche a través de uber eats y, siendo sábado por la noche, no me sorprendió demasiado que el tiempo de espera se estimara entre 60 y 90 minutos. Después de 2 horas, todavía no se había mostrado, así que después de numerosos intentos de llamar al restaurante, finalmente respondieron e inmediatamente dijeron "está a solo unos minutos de distancia". 20 minutos más tarde todavía no había aparecido, llamó de nuevo y otra persona tomó mis datos y luego simplemente colgó. ¡Nunca se materializó, así que definitivamente no volverá a realizar pedidos desde aquí!

Primera visita durante mucho tiempo debido al bloqueo. Debido al bloqueo actual del coronavirus, decidimos, ya que era nuestro aniversario de bodas, pedirles una comida a domicilio, ya que siempre hemos disfrutado de una comida en el restaurante. No nos decepcionó. La entrega llegó dentro del horario especificado, estaba delicioso y abundante, como si estuviéramos comiendo en el restaurante. Muchas gracias.

We went as a large family party to celebrate a big Birthday. It was therefore an important occasion and we hoped for a memorable night out. This was achieved in spades. The food was plentiful, delicious and varied and there were vegetarian and vegan options. The service was friendly and attentive. Full marks

El servicio era horrible, la comida era horrible y el tiempo era horrible. Somos tres mujeres que pedimos dos limas, refrescos y agua. Todas las bebidas fueron servidas en vasos de pinta. Una Guinness, una magners y una sucia. Cuando pedimos pato y cordero para nuestro segundo plato, la camarera se encogió de hombros y gruñó "¡Puedo preguntar!" ! ! Bien, este lugar es una joya, ya que dice buffet, pero puedes pedir lo que quieras de los menús. Yo diría que los entrantes y el pato son INCREÍBLES (y literalmente puedes tener todo lo que quieras). Realmente son divinos. Los platos principales que diría no son tan geniales y muy, muy pequeñas porciones (aunque supongo que esto ayuda a detener el desperdicio). La calidad no es tan buena como la de los entrantes, pero en general, un gran almuerzo. Nuestra familia usará este lugar mucho después de haberlo descubierto. El personal también fue muy agradable.

We've known Rita for 16 years, during this time food has been consistently good and plentiful and service friendly. You have to control the speed the courses are served to you. For some this is OK, we like a little more leisure. Often complimentary drinks after the meal and sometimes a complimentary bottle of wine to take home. Good value and generous freindly proprietor.

Really enjoyed our food we received very good service. We went for our 45th wedding anniversary and were presented with a bottle of wine and box of biscuits when we left. Highly recommended

We have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years and never been disappointed. The food is always good and the staff pleasant and attentive. I was a little worried when I read recent reviews on here, but we didn’t find any problems with our visit.

We have been eating at Peking diner for many years but recently the standard has gone down. The staff are borderline rude and the quality of the chicken was really poor. A real shame.

Han vivido cerca de Peking Diner durante 21 años. La comida de esta noche fue espantosa. El arroz frito especial estaba seco y sin sabor. Se encontraron plumas en los chips. La salsa de curry era fina y líquida. Los panqueques de pato eran finos como el papel, parcialmente cocidos y cubiertos con harina. La salsa de ciruela era igualmente fina y líquida.

La primera vez que voy a este restaurante anoche. Yo y dos hijas llegamos esperando en la puerta aproximadamente 2 minutos para estar sentadas. La camarera se acercó con una actitud hosca, sin un saludo cordial y nos sentó en una mesa de la esquina más cercana al área de cocción. Elegimos 2 comidas buffet a un precio de 16. 95 cada una y la comida principal que costó 11 ya que una de mis hijas es vegetariana, que le expliqué a la camarera. Pedí un vaso de limonada, que tenía cubitos de hielo, pero era muy plano. Nuestro primer plato para el buffet llegó que incluía rollitos de primavera que le ofrecí a mi hija que es vegetariana. De la nada, la camarera extendió su mano para evitar que mi hija de 14 años tuviera un rollo de primavera, ya que iba a tener solo el plato principal (aún no había llegado su comida). ¡Yo no lo podía creer!

Fue un sábado por la noche muy ocupado con cada mesa tomada, lo que obviamente es una buena señal. El restaurante en sí es muy oscuro y le vendría bien una renovación. Nos sirvieron bebidas rápidamente, por suerte habíamos pedido una botella de vino que duró más que si hubiéramos pedido un aperitivo o un refresco, ya que aquí es donde se cayó el servicio. Después de 20 minutos sentados allí, pudimos agarrar a una camarera y pedir un menú. Tuvimos que tomar otro para tratar de hacer nuestro pedido, ya que es todo lo que se puede comer y formamos un grupo de cuatro, solo les pedimos que hicieran un primer plato. Después de esperar casi una hora y media y después de haber tenido solo un tazón de galletas de gambas, los entrantes aparecieron, esto es cuando las cosas empezaron a mejorar. Ordenamos nuestro curso de pato mientras comíamos entrantes, y ordenamos nuestro plato principal mientras comíamos el pato, y el momento funcionó bien. La comida en sí era muy agradable, el vino tinto de la casa era un Cabernet Sauvignon y muy apetecible. Tuvimos postres y cafés que eran un cargo adicional pero razonable además del precio que se puede comer. Y la mejor noticia es que esta mañana no se despertó sintiéndose deshidratado, lo que a veces puede ser el caso de la comida china. Si prueba este lugar, irá por la comida, ignorará la decoración y perdonará el servicio.

Have been using this restaurant for over 30 years, we have moved away from Bromley and haven't found anything like this so went for lunch today, absolutely beautiful food must return soon

We eat in this restaurant quite regularly. It offers a set price all you can eat dinner of four courses and low cost wine to drink. The atmosphere is fun and noisy , the staff are all very helpful and caring. The starters are really good and you can order what you like from the starter menu. We often have butterfly prawns and salt n pepper prawns plus ribs and a few chicken wings. We tend to skip the soup course although I really enjoy their wonton soup. We go for a mixture of crispy duck and crispy lamb with pancakes and this is really very good. Their main courses are also good although they come in small portions, you can ask for more or a second portion of whatever you want. The wine is good and exceptional value for a restaurant. So all in all a great place for a controlled cost dinner. You can eat and drink for 2 for less than £60. Booking is often essential as it gets very busy. You can park outside at weekends foc.

Well looked after and they take care of you there. I am currently only updating my TripAdvisor account and the Peking diner account we have the menu for the all-you-can-eat option I am actually going there on Sunday but I thought it would be useful to other people interested to see the menu.

It was a special fundraising event. Food was great and plenty of it. Great evening. We will definitely be going to this restaurant again for their eat as much as you like menu. Staff so friendly and helpful. Thanks go to owners and staff for supporting this worthwhile charity.

I can't hype this place up enough!! My husband and I have been ordering takeaways and going for all-you-can-eat buffets over the past 2 years and not once has anything been off. Super duper staff and the food quality is really fantastic. It is also really reasonably priced :)

The waitors dont even know if there is peas in the House Special Fried Rice. That’s poor man🤦🏿‍♂️ And they made us 1hr and a hour to order our main dish.

I used to love this place the food was great but went recently and feel the quality has dropped. Portions are smaller (even though it is all you can eat, you have to keep asking for more), too much sauce, not everything was hot and some things were a bit soggy. To be fair we went midweek, maybe it is better when it is busier. Not sure if it has changed owners or anything. Such a shame.

I popped in here with friends for a catch up and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Even tho Chinese food is not my favourite dish I can honestly say I enjoyed it. I had the buffet menu which was good value and gave you a good variety of courses to choose from. My only complaint was a certain female member of staff seemed intent on getting us out the door as quickly as possible by hurrying us through the menu and sometimes walking away when we was ordering ect. Being the restaurant was not even 1/3 rd full that was a bit off putting. But food wise very good.

Restaurants can fluctuate. Takeaway from Peking Diner was excellent food (much improved over last time).

Worse food I have ever tasted! And they even charge the wrong amount on the bill! So do check the price on the menu when you going to pay the bill. Be aware that the staff is not friendly at all. We will never go back.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend he spoke very highly of it. It's got to be the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten in the service is poor and the food is poor never eat in there again. Oh and he's not my friend anymore.

Personally didn't enjoy the food here much. It was average compared to some places I've experienced. I think it's overpriced for the all you can eat to be fair.

After reading the reviews on this place i had prepare myself for good food and bad service.we went in two adults and 2 children.we had amazing food and brilliant customer service they were very attentive to everyone and very cheerful which make us start to discuss the reviews we read and was nothing like that.the kids are young and wanted chips and nuggets.a member of staff must have realised this and came over to inform us that if the children dont like what is on the nenu they can have chips and nuggets just ask when your order is been taken.we had such a good time we was planning our second visit before we even finish starters.foid was hot and very nice.you get to order what ever you want and might think omg its gonna be too much but turn out they give you small portions so you get to eat a lot of what you order.we couldnt lol

Went to the Peking Diner for an early Christmas catch up with friends. We meet up here every couple of months. It is our favourite Chinese. The food is delicious ,served hot and nicely presented. You pay one price and can order as much as you like. It is best to clear your plate then re-order as portions are very good . There is always a good atmosphere and the staff and owner are very friendly. It is not the poshest restaurant but that adds to its charm. Very good value for money. House white wine very drinkable. A good local restaurant .Booking advisable.

Went to peking diner for early anniversary meal, been coming here for years but chairs and tables need refurb badly, table cloths and napkins got holes not good look. Food not as good quality as use to be have found another local Chinese all u can eat to go to now.

En realidad, ellos continúan a traer comida hasta que defender con ellos a parar. Si estás en la zona norte/Bromley Grove park no se puede hacer mejor

He estado en Pekín Diner muchas veces antes, es un buen restaurante si hay mucho por un gran evento familiar. Tiene una muy buena 'comer tanto como quieras menú para un precio determinado. Las porciones que traen para compartir puede ser bastante pequeño, pero siempre se puede pedir más, aunque a veces al final de la comida que apenas cabe el plato principal porque he comido mucho del entrantes! Asegúrate de tener un menú con el que incluso después de que la orden los aperitivos - tienen una tendencia a dejar de determinados platos fuera por alguna razón, principalmente la de mejillones (que son super bien). Me encanta la carne crujiente de chili y gambas butterfly desde el arranque y el pollo en salsa de frijol negro es sizzling agradable para el principal.

Por desgracia deben ser dura para el Peking Diner langostinos últimamente como la calidad de la comida ha bajado de ajo eran insípido y blanda! Me alegro que sólo había 4 en el plato! Carne frita en salsa de frijol negro, graso y cã y de nuevo muy pequeño sirve, el servicio era demasiado animado te hizo sentir prisa, increíble cómo podemos ir tienen la misma comida unas pocas semanas y el precio de la Factura difiere! En un plus de Rita es una anfitriona encantadora, pero ella estaría bien ella está tomando su dinero! Personalmente, prefiero pagar más y ver la mejor calidad de los alimentos.

We wanted to eat out locally, checked out the reviews then booked a table. We wasn't disappointed. We were greeted by an older waiter when we arrived. He was fantastic, spoke to us about the menu and how they served their food. This is an "eat as much as you like restaurant" and boy did we. The staff would always check up on our table to see if there was any thing else we needed. The food was fresh and tasty. We will definitely be going back. Also we were not rushed at all, we could take our time and chat. A hidden gem in Bromley.

Staff were all very quiet but nice. The main attraction is definitely the food, very high quality and care was taken with each dish and making the customer enjoy each course Tasted divine.

I've been to the Peking diner many times and the food and service is very good but unfortunately it is very noisy in the restaurant. I went on Saturday evening with my elderly mum and Autistic son and we struggled to hear each other over the table, as the evening went on the noise got louder and louder. Both my mum and son were very uncomfortable with the noise levels. I think part of the reason it's so noisy is it's a small restaurant and they pack a lot of people in, the more alcohol consumed the louder people get.. Overall the staff are lovely and food very nice so if you don't mind a bit of noise it's worth a visit.

We regularly go to this great restaurant for their " Eat as much as you like" menu. The food is freshly cooked to order. The starters are amazing and lots of them as to is the shredded crispy duck. You can order as much as you can eat. The main dishes are tasty. One main dish is only enough for 2 so double up on each main dish ordered if there is, say, 4 of you eating.The decor is a bit tired looking but you are there for the food not the wallpaper.Well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our experience of this traditional Chinese buffet, the service was so good and the food was very tasty, however their version of crispy chilli beef was rather unusual. We were even given a free bottle of wine as we left.

Excellent quality food. Portions were a little small which doesn't really matter as you can just order more and it's bought straight to your table. Ordered mussels which tasted fresh and were absolutely massive. In fact everything our party ordered was lovely including the duck, chicken, lamb and squid. The only negative point I can make about this restaurant is the fact that all the staff are serving all the tables and they end up seeming as though they are rushing you. They are all hovering waiting to take your plates and glasses (the owner especially). It would be a lot more relaxed I feel if you had an allocated waiter/waitress when you were seated.

I love this restaurant . Great food and very gracious hospitality by the owner of the restaurant . Restaurant been established for few years and is very popular in locals . I tried vegetarian soup , Chicken , seafood and rice . Everything was very delicious . Inside decor is very nice and relaxing ambience . Restaurant is 10 - 12 mins walk from Grove Park station and on bus it is only 2-4 mins . Bus number 126 or 261 and bus stop to get off is Burnt Ashlane and restaurant is on the main road and very visible . Highly recommend .

Came for family meal for mums 70th birthday, excellent food, staff very polite . Rita the owner very friendly and attentive, ensuring everybody was happy.

The staff had several large parties to cater for but they still managed to serve everyone in a timely fashion. The food was hot and fresh and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit and fully intend to visit again.

Went here last night with a party of 7 for the all you could eat deal. My favourite is the starters and crispy duck and lamb and you can just keep reordering what you like and it is cooked fresh for you unlike other places where it is sitting in hot plates drying out.Service is also good and we all left feeling pretty full but while the price states £16.95 there is a 10% service charge added but we always tip well when we get good service and we certainly did.

Good value - all you can eat £16.95... Certain members of our party ensured we got our money's worth! Very efficient and couldn't do enough for you.Gave us a free bottle of wine to take away.

We had a lovely family meal here recently. We we "greeted by the most miserable young woman who was quite abrupt..however we didn't let this spoil the meal. The food was fantastic and plentiful and really tasty. I had a recent Birthday and they sang Happy Birthday to me which was lovely. Overall a really lovely meal..just shame that the younger staff couldn't bring a smile to the table.

Fantastic range of starters which you can order nonstop as it's eat all you want for a set price. Seafood range is great, chicken ribs beef pork served pipping hot and bursting with taste but that is where it ends. Move on to the duck and lamb with pancake and you get mouthful of over salted duck & lamb. Main menu portions are small and dinky you end up ordering loads to fill you up.The outside of this Establishment needs a good clean the inside could do with de-cluttering and a lick of paint. The staff get the food out in a timely manner and are polite. Overall a good place to eat proven by the crowd and endless pop-ins to collect take-away meals. Management give you a bottle of wine to take away if they realise you are celebrating. Can work out quite expensive if you are a large group.

Food was fresh, delicious and fantastic with a wide range of choice on the buffet menu. There was no delay with food and staff was polite. The price is an absolute bargain and we will definitely be returning again!

Went to this restaurant on Father's Day, the food looked and smelt great when we had a mixture of the hot starters but when you tried to eat it the food was smothered in salt and everything was cooked in so much garlic you couldn't taste what the dish was meant to be, when we had the duck which was lovely, the main course was better than the hot starters at least they didn't put garlic and salt in the rice and curry, this restaurant would be great if the chef stopped smothering the food in garlic and salt, felt bloated and sick all night, trying to quench thirst, the women staff were miserable and ignorant, had to ask several times before request was produced.

this is the worst restaurant experience i have ever had. i had not been to this restaurant for many years as i used to frequent it often ,as it was wonderful (years ago) whilst visiting family decided to go for a "nice meal" arrived saturday night to find it unusually empty sat down & with ex-husband & 2 teenage girls to be presented with a bowl of prawn crackers .my daughter cheerfully bit into one one only to say can't eat that its like cardboard! had a taste myself only to realise they were very stale, i mean really stale! told a lady whom turned out to be the manager looked bemused but replaced them begrudgenly we laughed it off .then ordered starters which were frankly no better they looked like scrapings from leftover plates & did not taste any better ! everthing was cold or lukewarm .cold cabbage , soggy prawns ,lukewarm chicken satay with a split sauce ontop & something else indescribable ( i thought it was supposed to be crispy beef,but apparantly was sticky chicken!) .decided that it was too awful & cut losses. the prospect of food poisoning crossed my mind . I told the manager we were not happy that food was clearly warmed from hours ago.we would like the bill for just the starters she protested a little went away & arrived back with a bill for £49.70 .I laughed, ex hubby ( had steam coming out of his ears) offered £30.00 & name & address for police if she wished to disagree she did not . we then left. i have never walked out of a restaurant before this was supposed to be a nice treat not a nightmare . please avoid . i told them their food was a digrace & dangerous i shall be contacting enviromental health. please beware. my daughter & firend thought it was hilarious especially when the manager tried to tell me how to cook as they put it " especially as mum is an excellent cook & knows what shes talking about" the only positive of the evening!!

I came here for a birthday party and I have to say we had a fantastic time. The food was fantastic and there was no delay with the food coming. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were very kind and helpful. The food was also very cheap even though it was amazing. I would definitely come here again

Order not complete very rude when they Finally picked up the phone after 1 Hour 15 minutes told me to ring back the next day and very rude again she put the phone down on me never again and they still owe me money

Service is great and atmosphere is friendly. Always packed which is a good indication of food and service.

Had a really good 'Eat as much as you want' meal (£16.95 each +10% service charge added) this evening. The waitress offered us the Al a carte menu and seemed to be saying it could be better value for us, but we decided to stay with the Eat all you can meal. The food was excellent and we had a good bottle of wine for £15.50. The service was good although a couple of times we found our waitress difficult to understand. but she was very attentive. We would definitely return.

Great food as always! Always go back for more! Great value for money and the only Buffett you should visit! They have the best lamb and duck pancakes and the smoked chicken with sauce is delicious!

We choose from the all you can eat menu, lots of variety and can have as many portions as you like. Food was good, came quick enough but the service isn't great. The did forget a few items we ordered and they seemed like they didn't want to be there.

This restaurant always give value for money and the food delicious. The service is as speedy or leisurely as you wish and staff very friendly. We have visited here for many years as have many B.C.C. members, and it is not unusual to see familiar faces.Most agree there is no other Chinese restaurant for miles, that can "top it" for satisfaction.Val & John Carroll

We have eaten here quite a few times and the food and service have been excellent.I am quite demanding regarding Restaurants / Food quality and the standard of Service - although what I expect is what we all should be receiving in a `Good` Restaurant.I have never found any fault with the Food here - it has always been excellent - and the waiting staff are very friendly and attentive but not overly so - not intrusive enough to be a `nuisance` as can happen in some restaurants.I would not hesitate to recommend this great Chinese restaurant.

The food was reasonable but could have been better . Have been to other Chinese restaurants at a slightly cheaper price and better food.

Me and my partner used to come here quite often but recently moved out of the area. But their smoked sticky chicken is worth going back for. It's the most amazing thing ever. Restaurant is always busy so sometimes the service can be a little rushed. But once you become a regular you realise how rushed off their feet they are within the restaurant and takeaways. Can't fault the food whatsoever I love it!

I have been many time and before my first visit I never really had Chinese food now I love it.All the comments I have read here are true and they really could do with Gordon Ramsay to go in with the kitchen nightmares program to show the staff how to give good customer service and to update the decor. The food is good and the service is quick most of the time.

We have visited this restaurant many times in the past for a quick meal at a cheap price.I would recommend this place for an easy going lunch or dinner, don't expect the world and the waitresses do have quite a few rather funny 'mishaps' at the tables which is always amusing!Cheap & cheerful.... Simple!

Worth a visit, took my family out for the evening. Food nice and fresh, service a bit erratic but efficient. Eat all you can menu good value if you have big appetite. Mixed starter, soup and Peking duck/lamb all very nice, main courses on the smallish size but to be honest we were already full and you can keep ordering. We all enjoyed the meal and would return.

Very dated décor and mediocre food. Had the "all you eat" option and 2 soft drinks. The bill arrived in Chinese and they tried to over charge us as we didn't understand the bill. Very sneaky! The service was slow and waited 10 mins for the "wrong" bill to arrive.The owner however was very accommodating but we'll not be rushing back, it at all!

I have been here countless times with my boyfriend and another couple that we always go with and every time we have been we have had the most amazing meal here!! You get such a wide choice with the buffet - although it is not a usual buffet where the food is left out but where you pick the items you would like (as many times as you want it) they will then cook it fresh and bring it out to you. It starts with starters (e.g. satay, prawn toast etc), then soup, then duck or lamb with pancakes and then mains with rice all for one set price but you can have as much a you want of each section as many times as you like. The food is great and so is the service. Definitely recommend and will continue to come here.

We phoned the restaurant at 5pm Sunday evening asking for a table for 10 on a colleague's recommendation..For 6.30..not a lot of notice for them considering it was Sunday and they don't open until 6! We arrived to an already half full restaurant, were welcomed and seated immediately, the all you can eat menu offered everything, cooked to order and when we'd finished the 1st of 4 courses, were asked if we'd like anymore before moving on to the 2nd (soups) most of us declined soup and went straight to crispy fried duck and lamb which again was served quickly and efficiently. We were all pretty stuffed afterwards, and asked for a delay before ordering our mains which the staff were happy to oblige with. After cigerettes/chats/a breather, we ordered our mains from a generous selection, all again served piping hot,freshly cooked and amazingly quickly. All of the food was delicious, not a single complaint, and I confess, I'm the world's worst for demanding high quality. .. I'm an ex publican who ran my own kitchens for years, my partner is an ex chef, another of our party is married to a chef (both of very high standards and regard) and we were all incredibly impressed. From what we could see, there were only 5 or 6 staff in total, they didn't have a lot of time for chat during service, but picked up on the birthday cards and discreetly asked me who's birthday it was...shortly afterwards, the dreaded embarrassing birthday song across the music system and a complimentary dessert with candles for birthday boy was delivered with smiles.When we asked for the bill, we were offered complimentary drinks on the house (proper drinks..not a syrupy liquor) the bill was jaw droppingly reasonable and we tipped well (although not obscenely) when we went to leave, the smiling lovely (I can only presume owner) pushed a tied carrier bag into my hands. . .I didn't look until I got home and was absolutely shocked to find 2 bottles of wine they could have sold for much more than our tip!Now we certainly won't be expecting that every time, but what a gesture! We won't be using any other Chinese restaurant again, despite the fact this was central to all of us, but local to none. Well worth a 30 minute drive to us.The decor is a little tired, but it's clean. Highly recommended to old and young.Well done and thank you for a fantastic evening.
