Pear Tree in North East Lincolnshire

Was taken here by our son for Mother's Day. It was busy, with a few big tables, however the whole experience was fabulous. The staff were extremely efficient and the food was hot and really well cooked. Would highly recommend.

Haven't been for a few years, the food is delicious we had the saver meals, the only criticism I can give is the chicken I had was 1 breast of chicken cut in half ( only got half of it! ) And the gammon was the same perhaps you should title it for smaller appetites instead of a saver meals ? That was quite disappointed

Our recent visit to The Pear Tree featured a delightful array of dishes from the mixed grill to fish and chips, chicken burger, and pie – all of which were quite enjoyable. The service was swift, thanks to our efficient waitress, and the warm food left everyone at the table content. However, it's worth noting that our experiences here can be a bit hit and miss at times. Despite this inconsistency, the overall positive moments during our visit make The Pear Tree a place we'll likely return to for its delicious offerings and friendly service.

We were in Cleethorpes for the day and had hoped to eat on the seafront. We had our dog and were made to feel unwelcome so we decided to head inland. We came across the The Pear tree and decided to call in. I asked if we could bring the dog in. No problem said the young man and indicated an area where we were welcome to bring the dog. I had a look around and decided to leave a sand covered dog in the car. We were quickly shown a table and our drinks order was taken and delivered without delay. We placed our food order scampi and fish and chips. This arrived within 15 mins, not a long wait. I had expected a nice piece of freshly caught fish. It was a little disappointing in its appearance and a little overcooked. Other than that observation the meals were very nice. The staff friendly, the area was clean and the tables were wiped down as they were cleared. If we found ourselves back in the area I would not hesitate to call in.

Had burger and chips, expected proper chips or chunky chips, got frozen matchstick fries like a kids meal. Burger was nice though

very warm welcome on entering, shown to straight table. Table service only but they were quick to check if you were ready to order. Leanne was very good and helpful, knew the menu extremely well. Drinks were well presented, food was piping hot and very tasty, good portion sizes. All staff seemed happy and well presented.

Mac and cheese 6 quid and was the size of the rim of a pint glass, poor value for money and staff are like robots no check up or asking how the meals were, very expensive for the poor quality food you don’t mind the price if it’s nice food but it’s jsut bland average food, shame as i suggested it to my family and i got funny faces once this was the case. Really disappointing

My friend and I were greeted at the door and as I had booked this online the assistant manager took us to our table. We were then asked after a couple of minutes what drinks we wanted. The waiter then asked us if we were ready to order which we were and the food was soon brought to our table and it was hot and delicious. We then were asked upon collection of our plates if we wanted to order any desserts which we did and they were soon brought to our table too and was hot and delicious. We then ordered a hot drink to finish off a lovely evening. Staff were super too.

The food was delicious and the service was amazing by Jenny. The food was hot and arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Nothing was too much trouble

Gorgeous Sunday dinner I had Turkey hubby had beef was delish, will deffo come again! Wasn’t planning on coming someone mentioned it had changed coz we’ve not been here for at least 2-3 years.

Great service got seen to a table straight away very quick and friendly staff spot on! Good selection of drinks also for adults and kids

Can't fault the food which was good. The manager however is a different story. Walked in and got shouted at to go back and wait. Present a 30% offer voucher when we ordered but after paying the bill we realised it had not been taken off. Told to go to manager who was stood around talking to two other members of staff. He was very reluctant to sort of the problem and we left without it being rectified because it would take too long

The beef dinner is delicious, home made all the way. Roast potatoes with pepper garlic & onion granuals. The gravy was really tasty too. Option for pig in blankets that are very morish. Their Yorkshire puddings are light and fluffy, homemade also. The service is speedy and very attentive. A chilled atmosphere and lovely staff.

Ate here today and was truly impressed with how fantastic it was. Food was cooked to perfection and staff was extremely friendly. Sunday dinner was one of the best we’ve ever had from a restaurant. Will certainly be coming back again, and I know it will be very soon. Keep up the good work and will see you again!

Do not go here after 3pm for a Sunday Lunch. Been twice and on both occasions they had sold out. Very poor

Turned up at 5pm on a Saturday night after the heatwave of a week and 14 of us were looking forward to an al fresco meal. The great British summer had other ideas and the heavens opened. On a really busy evening the manager saw a soggy looking group and managed to squeeze us in. Within 15 mins drinks were being ordered and food shortly followed. We were looked after by tegan who absolutely spoilt us and the kids great interaction and service followed by great value tasty meals. Nothing was too much for these guys. Thank you

Good food and choice and food service was good and came out quick and was hot. But drinks service was very slow and not all drinks arrived together.

Absolutely amazing and so welcoming. Food was incredible. Welcomed my dogs in with open arms. Even gave us a bag of treats. Lovely.

On holiday and chose this pub for dinner with family there was two chicken tikka curry’s ordered one came and the dish had just adequate amount of curry the next one was no where near enough so I asked the waiter for a little more he just gave us a funny look and stared at the dish took it away and came back which looked like maybe a dessert spoon more sauce had been added it was no where near enough for the amount of rice and naan bread and was so dry i felt the need to write this review because the customer service by the waiter was terrible. There was a young lady serving our drinks where we was seated she was very nice would not visit this pub again when we visit cleethorpes

The Pear Tree is always fab for service and for good. As a vegetarian, there is plenty of choice on the menu. The food is great value for money and the service is great. Jenny and team are ace. My family and friends visit regularly.
