The hot chocolate is to die for!!

Bad, really bad! Expensive, the food looks old, disgusting coffee and no spoons no tissue. Dirty shop and the worst…the hand sanitiser. Not suggested!

Ordered a strawberry frasier cake online and went to collect it from this store. The staff were very quick with bringing my cake and even stapled the bag so the box with the cake inside would be secure so thank you. Lovely cake, well worth the £42.95 spent on it.

Arrived around 16:45 and bought a strawberry cheesecake. i knew it’s a bit late but i didn’t expect a melted cheesecake, and my place just 10mins away from the shop. if it was too late pls let your customers know, shouldn’t sell a melted cheesecake to them, of course it was straight to the bin. btw it was a birthday cake.

Good is great the service is mediocre same with the atmosphere. The toilets could be cleaned better and the chairs and tables have seen better days.

Today I bought a chicken salad, which I binned because it wasn’t fresh. The chocolate tart was warm as well. If you have fridge problems don’t sell your food… Obviously I didn’t have a receipt so no going back…

Very surprised by the poor service, quality of food served. My wife and I asked for a snack and tea/coffee in mugs to eat in. First, the snacks were given in a bag to take away, and when reminded about eating in, were put in a plate. The tea/ coffee took at least 20 minutes after repeated reminders and after being initially served in take away paper cups. Have very good experiences with eating at Paul in various countries around the world. This Paul in Baker Street does not fit the mould. Even Starbucks is better

Lovely Paul, great place to chill out on a Sunday afternoon.

Paul is always a good bet for a delicious lunch and a tasty bakery treat! The staff here were lovely, and despite it being around lunchtime it was easy to find a table to eat in. The chicken salad was really tasty, and a pleasant change from the usual stuff elsewhere - it included walnuts, apple, cheese, good range of salad leaves, grated carrot, and a delicious oil dressing. Can’t go to Paul without buying a slice of Frasier cake though, which never disappoints!

When there in morning got offer a seat but had to take food from counter to table shocking service would recommend to others

The workers don't know how to do Americano. It was water of a dark color and the smell of coffee, but it was not Americano. In my opinion, a barista should take a course and learn how to make coffee and not be rude to customers, and it was possible to make it not in a paper cup, because I ordered a cake !!

As usual a very trusted restaurant for all day long with a roomy hall for dining in and nice memories in london city few blocks away from madam tussauds museum in backer street

Wow. Bad experience. Staff just wanted to shut early and really didn't want us there. Ordered several coffees and cakes, and it looked like they went into melt down. No plates, cups or cutlery. Closed the toilet before the shop. Coffee was meh. Only saving grace were the cakes. Avoid, better places are available.

Recently it is fairly disappointing. First, the people don’t know what they are selling. An eclair Paris Brest is not a chocolate eclair. And then the lazines of leaving ALL of the prices on the window when half of the pastries are different. Third, the quality has just gone down. Chouxquettes used to be great. Now soggy and heavy. It is a pity but won’t be returning.

The staff here were uninterested and actually borderline rude, the woman who took my order at the till literally showed no interest in my order and demonstrated really poor customer services. I even said hello and thank you, to get nothing but a blank face back at me. The food and coffee was, as always with Paul, very nice but I really don't like the wooden cutlery, it's by far the worst experience to eat food with and it heavily affects the taste of the food you're eating, as it mostly tastes of food. Please invest in actual metal currently and platee, which is how it should be. Overall rather let down and disappointed with my visit to Paul.

The duo cake was awesome. I wish i know the name of girl on reception. She was so polite. Thumbs up.

Great place to have a cuppa accompanied by a tasty danish etc, friendly atmosphere and professional service

Ci siamo fermati per caso invitati dalle torte in vetrina, ne abbiamo scelto una con crema e frutti di bosco per il mio compleanno. L'abbiamo consumata nella saletta al piano di sopra. Torta molto buona e personale molto disponibili e carine.

Unfriendly girl at the cash , she looked like she was annoyed and mad at the world . The beignets were stale and old , very disappointing . And they still don’t accept cash , only payment by credit card . Luckily my cappuccino was good .

I have to say that I am normally averse to leaving negative reviews, life has not been easy for any of us over the last 3 years and ill considered criticism can just sound mealy mouthed but our experience at Paul on Baker Street this Saturday has left me so disappointed that I wish to share with others. We entered the establishment to find busy tables but little by way of a queue. I ordered 2 coffees to have sat outside, as it was a pleasant morning. Having ordered my wife went to use their w.c. to find it locked. When we highlighted this, the server pointed to a sign sellotaped to one side stating "take away only". Having said that we were going to sit outside and having seen full tables, this non vocal just pointing at a sign was a little taciturn to say the least. Nonetheless we stood to one side to await our coffees, at this time two further customers had entered the facility, their orders were taken and whilst they too had ordered coffee, they were served before us whilst we were left ignored. After 4 - 5 minutes of this my wife approached one of the servers and asked whether our order had been processed, to be told a fairly derisory "no". In light of this she asked the other server to cancel the order and to reimburse our credit card. The server duly went through the charade of reimbursing the card and we left the facility to get a coffee from a street bar. We are now 5 days later with no refund to our account. If I am honest, the £6 is slightly frustrating but it was the entire visit that left us totally bemused, to experience such poor levels of attention from staff demonstrating open ennui was frankly the worst level of customer service that I have seen in many years ( and I work in the service industry myself ). I would beseech anyone to avoid this establishment. There is a fantastic street vendor just the other side of Selfridges, the lady there served a great coffee with enthusiasm and a smile.

Very low selection of savoury items for a Paul’s. Hardly any savoury items, 3 hours before closing. It’s Sunday, yes, but if you’re open until 5pm, why would you have hardly any savoury items at 2pm. Staff seemed more interested in cleaning to be ready to close.

Their staff was RACIST. I visited with my family. Poor staff and service. ONE OF THE receptionist behaviour was unacceptable the GUY NAMED PAUL just yelling and was being rude just because we pointed towards the thing we wanted. He was like I’m going to refund you the money as I don’t want to serve you anymore. Upon asking who gave him the authority to do that he started being racist saying who are you. This is not even your country. I need the management to keep such hot headed and lunatic people out of their business. Because reception is a customer service job. And any such behaviour can never be tolerated.

In this current economy when regular clients come and ask to be seated and whole section is closed at 14:00 while 4 staff behind counter are giggling - you rather walk away business then provide a seat - assuming your paying too dollar for the rent - staff need to be told the value of net profitability maybe? Service is getting worse - manager do something !

They should be ashamed of themselves. I will never buy anything from Paul ever again. I know it was frozen: it is as hard as a brick. I am french, I know what a frozen baguette is. Outrageous, morally wrong for a bakery to sell frozen baguettes without even telling their customers. They have zero integrity, They have lost my custom forever.

Great coffee and sandwiches. Very busy in lunch time though

Visited on the day of the transport strike so not too busy. Has a reasonably sized interior and was air conditioned well. There were enough staff and the 'lab coat' ' manager seemed to be on shift. The interior looked clean and well organised with a full range on display. The only thing of note was that my party sat outside. We had to ask for the table we used to be cleaned and noticed that the outside tables were slow to be cleared.

Not as good as it used to be. Need to have more alternative milk options eg Coconut.

The almond croissant and coffee were amazing. We actually walked all the way back again today. The website says they were closed so we took a chance and it was open for business. I would highly suggest they update the site. The barista was nothing short of awesomeness. Today they only had one almond croissant, so I ate the macron that was incredible. The baker loaded the house on my way out. He said that the order arrived late today. Despite the employment shortage this place handles crowds well. I love this place for breakfast! Highly recommend this place and the Macron !!!!

A convenient location to have tea and coffee with something quick to eat. The service here has always been friendly and efficient for me so no complaints there. It's spacious so we have always managed to find a table for 2. I really enjoy their chai latte and sandwiches. I've had a better almond croissant elsewhere compared to the one at PAUL, so I would go for the plain croissant next time.

Beautiful patisserie & taste delicious. I took a detour on the tube and bought a whole craquant cake yesterday. It was well worth it, gorgeous mirror glaze, perfect layers and satisfying textures. I’d post a photo but we ate it 🤣.

I popped in on a Friday morning to do a bit of work, use the wifi and have a treat! The almond croissant and americano hit the spot. Really nice and not too sweet or sickening. Staff were pleasant and service was good. Not too busy. There are seats at the back too as well as the front and some outside as well. Nice range of pastries, cakes and more! Wifi was not too fast. Only small negative is that most of the tables were set out for parties of four or five. Would be nice to have more smaller tables. I was sitting on a huge table on my own. Luckily it wasn't busy. Reasonably clean.

Great french breakfast, quietly on a weekend morning

So I came at around 16.45, ordered myself a latte and a macaroon, the lady asked which cup I prefer, and I said the cup to have it in, as I wanted to relax and have my drink inside. No one mentioned that they are closing at 5. So as I was nearly finishing my coffee at 17:00 and other people were still sat in the cafe as well, 3 ladies came to me and said we are closed you need to leave now. I was replying that I’m nearly done and will leave asap, but they didn’t stop, they were keep coming to me and telling me to leave, although there were still other people inside. I think it is very disrespectful, not a show of hospitality at all, all the staff is just horribly impolite. Probably, hospitality is not for them, as they couldn’t wait for 2 minutes for a customer to finish their coffee. Hopefully, the manager is going to do something about their staff, as this is just embarrassing.

Dispence too small for a central zone like this PAUL. Soya cappuccino not taste and bitter.

Nous avons voulu tester du français en Angleterre... Pas déçu du voyage, un sandwich montagnard avec du gruyère et du pâté en remplacement du beurre. C'était passable mais franchement pas du tout français 😅

This place was meant to be excellent, but the service was bellow average. Food took too long to be served and what was supposed to be a warm dish came totally cold inside. However I don't want to blame the staff, though.

There is only **1** (ONE) vegan option out of numerous bakery products. I don’t think management team of Paul bakeries can read the market and trends. A big thumbs down!👎🏼

The Chay latte was cald but nice atmosphere

Croissants were ok (nothing special though). It took very long to get my cappuccino, quite messy and scarce communication behind the counter. Can not recommend .

I like their coffee and the staff are usually so friendly and helpful, however it doesn’t matter which Paul you use they have a problem retaining staff. Just when you get used to somebody and they understand your order every day and you build up a kind of rapport they disappear never to be seen again this has been my experience constantly with this organisation…..

I visited this Paul today (Nov 21/2020) for a hot chocolate in a cold winter morning and got the worst customer experience ever from the guy taking orders, he was rude from the beginning, complained about my accent (even though he had a strong french one) and denied having anything I was asking for even though I could clearly see it in the display, don't waste your time going in just go around the corner to the other branch

Afortunadamente, hace mucho que se fueron los chinos sin sonrisa y los caracteres estonios de piedra fría que arruinaron esta tienda. El personal ahora es amable y servicial.Las medidas de higiene son buenas. La calidad del cofre es muy buena. Los sándwiches son sabrosos y tienen una buena relación calidad-precio, pero son limitados en variedad y lo mismo durante muchos años. Algunos sándwiches calientes serían geniales. Las nuevas variedades en su gama de pasteles también son excelentes. Puedo recomendar la tarta de queso de albaricoque. Pero el horario de apertura es corto; cierran a las 5 y recogen las mesas exteriores una hora antes. . .

Super awful service. Just before entering the shop a brunette lady with glasses yelled at us "NO NO we are going to close in five minutes" not giving us any other option. No take away no nothing. We went to the coffee shop next to it and they closed 15 mins after we visited Paul Baker St. Will never come back.

This branch of Paul at Baker Street was visited on Tuesday 18 August, 2020 at around 13:00. I don't live in London and I had an appointment nearby, so afterwards I had planned to grab a sandwich. I was hungry and when I got to this branch of Paul's I was shocked to see no line and no one inside. I now know why.... The Baker Street branch of Paul had zero fresh sandwiches. All they had were a few refrigerated pre-made sandwiches and some lethargic looking pastries. The employee behind the counter didn't seem bothered by the fact that he had no sandwiches. Who wants a cold, mushy baguette from a French-themed bakery. How very sad. After this display I'm not sure I want to try a different branch or a different restaurant.

I love this french patisserie Cafe all around London french cakes baguettes and more treats to enjoy I’ve always go there for all special occasions My favourite cake is the fraisier Open 7 days a week 7am-7pm Located near oxford circus station The quiche lorraine are very tasty Try the afternoon tea too

Lovely cafe. Yummy pastries. Highly recommend the ham and cheese croissants and selection of soups.

I love their sandwiches and all bakery is tasty. The coffee is also good and if you have it with a croissant it is just perfect. I use to take my brunch/lunch from there and never failed.

Lovely breakfast and nice place for a Sunday morning :) expect the dangerous table that gives heart attack :D it's enjoyable and you could have sweet to salty food freshly made ! Recommended

Carino il posto , curato l'arredo , gentili le commesse . Banchi e vetrine piene di panini di ogni genere e paste dolci fresche . L'ambiente è pervaso da un profumo davvero invitante . Si sceglie e ci si può accomodare per gustare queste delizie .
