Went here with friends as we had won a voucher was really surprised how lovely the food was. The restaurants interior was lovely and the staff were really nice and attentive would i return yes if they had still been open

Turned up on a Saturday night with my Daughters and my Daughters friend....Ordered food waited over an hour....Was told it was the Kitchens fault....Food was bland when it did arrive....No free drinks or discount for our wait....Won't be back

My first time here but some of our party had been here before. Restaurant above a bar which was lively on a Saturday afternoon. Food and service was excellent a few if us wanted changes to our meals and this was done with no problems. The waiter heard us wondering what a chicken meal on the menu was like and during our meal he brought out a taster bowl for us to try which we thought was very nice if him. Will be back.

My partner and I attended the recent 5 Course Gin & Food Pairing at Patton's Bar and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the event was and we're hoping that they arrange another one. Upon arrival we were given some very fruity punch and shown to a table for 6 - even though there were only 2 of us, so clearly we were all going to be sharing something - which turned out to be the starters. The starters of salmon in various forms was very good - fresh, tasty and succulent - a great start. The gins for the evening reflected mostly reflected local production: Shortcross, Jawbox, Tanquery, Fifty Pound and Daffy's - all very good and well served with suitable tonics, though the Daffy's neat was a trial!! The venison hotpot main course was also very good and was very tasty. The dessert of cheese board and a chocolate moose/fondant were also very good. The staff did an excellent job and were very attentive- which made a big difference to the evening. I'd definitely return for another evening - the overall cost of £45 was excellent value and. The only minor points were that it started late and lasted well over 3 and a half hours - less than 3 hours would have been better.

Have friends who think this place is great. We were very disappointed in it. Had ribs as a starter. Cooked to perfection but had absolutely no seasoning. Wife had salt and chilli chicken to start. Couldn't even taste the salt and a few tiny pieces of chilli over the top doesn't count. Had pork belly for main which was over cooked and tough as was the wife's duck. Again lacked seasoning. Didn't stay for desert as it probably would have been tasteless. Won't be rushing back. Service was good and nice building. Shame about the food

A few glasses of bubbles and a meal with friend in a lovely atmosphere in modern surroundings with lovely food!! What's not to like Have eaten here a few times not with family and my kids . Always faultless

My wife and I visited in the evening and had the early menu which is served up to 6:30 pm. The food was excellent my vegetable soup was thick and full of fresh vegetables, the main courses were generous and tasty - cod and pork - and my wife had a strawberry Pavlova. A pint of cider was added and the bill was less than £30. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, we will return very soon.

This is a very pleasant restaurant that provides good food in a range of tastes, the early bird menu up to 6:30 is excellent value. Service is very friendly and helpful, plenty of car parking so nothing to complain about.

I visited this restaurant twice this time last year and gave it a very high review, it was not long open at the time. However we were out for the day yesterday and thought we would call into Pattons on the way home. Sign outside said the restaurant was open, went in , no lights on. So I went into the public bar and asked if the restaurant was open ? A sour looking woman said " you can eat here there's a table " and walked away. The public bar was really shabby and grotty and the rickety table was a sheet of plywood half varnished most of which was worn off. My wife said I am not eating here and I said neither am I but lets see the menu then we will go. The woman came back set the menu on the table and walked away . A quick browse of the menu showed a variety of deep fried burgers , fish , chicken and chips etc. We got up and left the sour woman never came back. I don't know what has happened here as it used to be so good.

Was welcomed on arrival and given a table promptly. The interior and surroundings very modern and clean. Choice on menu was quite good. I had the pork fillet and was very tasty. I will definitely be back again. Staff friendly and attentive when needed.

I am used to going out for meals and all five of us had an excellent meal. The meals were piping hot, well presented, with great flavours and good sized portions. There was a great selection to choose from on both menus. The service was excellent, we asked for a couple of changes to what was on the menu this was not a problem. The restaurant had a welcome feeling, service was excellent and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Can't wait to go back again and will be at the top of my list for a great meal and surroundings.

5 of us went for a meal. Starters were excellent. I ordered a Chickpea and veg curry. When it arrived I couldn't find any chickpeas. Asked the waitress to ask the chef where the chickpeas were, she said I must have been served the wrong curry. The waiter came out and told me they didn't have any chickpeas, tell me that before you serve me a mushroom curry! Waiter says it's his fault, did the chef tell you there were no chickpeas when you took my order to the kitchen? If so why not tell me? Everyone else was happy with their meal. I don't mind if you don't have what is on the menu but tell me before u serve me something I didn't order! Also We were charged for an extra tonic, and to be honest the attitude of the staff wasn't great when this was brought to the attention. But customer service is what brings you back. So I will leave it with yous!

Great food and friendly service! Steak was beautifully seasons & portions generous. The front of house staff were welcoming and extremely attentive even though we had a large table with super confusing orders. Thanks guys X

I booked a table for 6 adults and 2 children for my Husband for his 60th birthday. When I was booking it I asked if they would decorate it with balloons etc and was told yes. So I left the decorations in on the Saturday evening plus the cake. We arrived on the Sunday for 2.30pm as planned but there was no table decorated. I then asked about this and was told they forgot all about it ???? So after 10 minutes a member of staff started to put up a few balloons by this stage I felt like telling them not to bother (where the rest of the balloons went I don't know) Our order was taken. Starters were ok. When the main courses came out it was at different intervals some of us had to wait but the dinners were cold. So two of us had to ask to get them reheated. The rest muddled through theirs and the children's burgers were so flat and cold as well. When my reheated dinner came back it was swimming with gravy and not any warmer (I wonder was the gravy put on it to heat it up) Desserts were fine. When it was time for the cake we had to wait another 10 minutes. We asked to speak to the manager and were told that he was too busy. Clearly a owner who does not value the customer or want to improve the service. Unless you enjoy some members of staff talking about you as well. So disappointed it turned out like this.

Ask for balloons and banner to be put up for a birthday party and never done the food came out cold and we were all eating at different times services was shocking from start to finish disappointing will never be back!!

First time in the place. Very friendly welcome. Nice surroundings. Good selection on the menu. Service was quick and the food arrived quick and was good and hot. Reasonably priced too.

Great food again at Pattons, staff were very friendly and gave good advice on the choices. I had the rump steak - melt in the mouth is the best description - will definitely be back for their steak night

My mum and I visited today for lunch and really wished we hadn't bothered! We arrived at 2.30 on a Saturday and only one other table was occupied. Perhaps that should have been a warning sign. Although the outside of the pub is a bit grotty, the upstairs restaurant was bright and airy with pleasant decor. The menu is standard pub grub. I ordered the fish chowder to start - I agree with previous comment that there were too many vegetables in it and in addition, the sauce was thin and watery. I only ate about one third of it but wasn't asked by our waitress if I'd enjoyed it or if there was anything wrong. Mum had the homemade soup which was just ok. We both ordered medium rump steaks, mine with chips and mum's with champ. When they arrived, the steaks were both well done without even a hint of pink and were tough and dry. My chips were undercooked with the potato still hard and when I pointed this out to the waitress, she took them back to the kitchen. When they re-appeared they were still hard and I couldn't eat them. Mum's champ was dry and lumpy. She was only able to eat a few forkfuls. There were a few very wilted rocket leaves as a garnish. We valiantly tried to chew the steak but eventually gave up, having eaten less than half of it and hardly any of the potato dishes. I called the waitress over, said that I wanted to complain and explained what was wrong with the meal - she said she would speak to someone. After a while, she came back and removed our plates without saying a word. She then ignored us for the next 15 mins and no-one came to speak to us about our complaint. I eventually asked her for the bill and when it came, we were charged the full amount. I queried this and she told me that the chef said the steak wasn't tough or dry and that was the way they made their chips! She didn't have an explantion for the steak being overcooked or the dry, lumpy champ. She also said that they 'didn't get many complaints.' I find this very surprising. Usually even with a mediocre meal, you can find something redeeming about it, but not in this case. My mum who is not given to complaining said it was the worst meal she had had in years and I have to agree. All in all, this was a complete waste of money and we will not be back.

We called in for lunch and were delighted by the style and quality of the food. There was plenty of choice on the menu - even veggie options that weren't pasta or risotto! I had the cod and chips, which was served with mushy peas, which I normally hate, but this was more like pea purée - delicious! Our waitress was great too, friendly, yet professional. The only downside was that the chair seats were worn and sagging - they could do with being reupholstered!

First time being here and had a superb meal in a very spacious, clean and comfortable restaurant. The staff were very pleasant and friendly, being especially patient when we couldn't decide from the extensive menu. Will definitely be back.

We have been here a few times now and have always had great food and service especially from the waiter Ricky who on more than one occasion has went the extra mile . It is a lovely clean restaurant with great tasting food (the house burger is a favourite )

Having now been to this restaurant a few times I can say that I find the food very good. Tried the chowder the first time, very tasty but a tad too many veg for my liking. Have tried quite a few different dishes since and all have been very tasty. Staff are pleasant and helpfully but with its popularity we found service on Sunday was very slow. Just need a bit more hustle at busy times.

My wife and I drove a 45 mile round trip to try this restaurant after we heard lots of good things about it,and we were more than glad we did. It was a nicely laid out restaurant,the staff were first class,very friendly and the food was very tasty and well presented too. I had the prawn Marie rose to start,followed by the pork fillet with a side of garlic mushrooms and "herb infused" battered onion rings. My wife had the breaded Brie to start with the butternut squash and a portion of chicken goujons for her main course. We could not fault the food,well presented and really looked the part too. Well worth the trip. We would highly recommend this restaurant and the chef certainly knows his onions.

Dinner with friends , great food , very relaxing atmosphere wonderful evening , very attentive staff would recommend to anyone will certainly be back .

A group of 12 went out for my wife's birthday on Saturday. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy the service we had was top class. The staff were very friendly and well versed with the whole menu. Most of us had starters & mains with everything, including drinks brought quick as a flash. My seafood chowder was beautiful, well seasoned and full of succulent salmon and mussels and the homemade wheaten bread was delicious. I tried one of my friends ribs starter and they were so soft sticky & tasty too. My rib eye main was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and was one of the tastiest I've had in a long time. My wife went for the chickpea curry, one of three vegetarian options on the menu, and she thought it was sensational. The dish was actually large enough for two! A few of us had room for desserts too, and everyone was delighted with the whole meal. This is the second time I have visited here and will definitely be back again.

Recommended by friends from cloughmills so expected a bit of bias. However it was well worth the recommendation. Plenty of variety on the menu. Seafood chowder was great though could have had a bit more variety of seafood in it, steak was perfectly cooked. Vegetarian options much appreciated by my wife. Staff were very attentive despite two large parties arriving. Only strange point was the poster of the muppets movie on the wall - didn't seem in keeping with the other pictures, admittedly that's a bit of a picky point

We had heard so many good reports about Patton's bar we thought it deserved a visit. There was ample space to the rear for parking and an outside upstairs seated area presumably for smokers. I loved the simplicity of the decor, grey walls which looked smart and calming , large corner windows which gave enough natural light and old photos of the Beatles and Stones hanging from the walls. The seating was also very comfortable, after being seated we were quickly given a menu. We came in just after 2pm and the restaurant closed at 2:30. It wasn't busy and as we were there to try the food this wasn't too important. I was hungry and found it difficult to narrow my choice below any of 4 main courses on the menu. I played safe and went with the cheese burger and garlic fries. It was tasty but surely a garnish would have made it look more appetising? My wife had the pulled pork sandwich was was also tasty. I ordered a pot of tea for both of us to finish off our meal. We got 2 cups of hot water and a tea bag each at the side of our plate!!!! Maybe if we were having mint tea or the like but not normal tea. My wife talked about it all day and it has put us off trying it again. Surely it wasn't because it was 2:50 and we were the last to leave? It was a bit of a disappointment to the end of an above average experience.

We had heard great reports about this new restaurant that had opened about five months ago so we gave it a try yesterday and were highly impressed. We were greeted by a very pleasant waiter and shown to table and menus supplied. I had a lovely prawn cocktail for starter followed by gammon, fried egg , champ with a side salad. My wife chose the pork filled and asked for a garlic dip instead of sauce supplied , The waiter then came back and said the chef will make you a white wine garlic sauce instead of the dip as he thought it would be better. This she agreed and was a lovely touch which they did not have to do. The meals were first class in every way and we hope to return soon.

We visited for Sunday lunch without a reservation and towards the end of the day so were not surprised when they said they had run out of roast beef with Yorkshire pudding! Instead I chose the ham with a creamy mustard sauce which went perfectly with the carrot, swede, green bean, mash and roast potato. My partner had the turkey with chip oblates, bacon cranberry sauce and it too tasted superb. The children's menus are cooked with as much care and Trenton and homemade chicken goujons taste just as good for parents or children! The lemon and coconut sponge with custard was melt in the mouth as was the creamy baileys cheesecake. The food is very reasonably priced and very well prepared and served......to make sure we returned the next day for an all day brunch and thought the black pudding, potato car, pancake, tomato, mushroom all accompanying the egg, sausage, bacon and fried bread and beans was equally fit for a king. I highly recommend a visit.

Called in on our way through Cloughmills. Good choice of menu. Staff very helpful and friendly. Service was excellent and the food didn't disappoint.

Best pepper sauce I've ever had! The steak was amazing and very good service. Restaurant style food and a lovely atmosphere. Ideal for couples and friends. My only faults is steak ciabatta was a little tough and I think they should provide a cocktails menu but very enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Nice modern place to eat . Don't let the outside put you off . Food okay ,not bad but on the other hand not brilliant . My son ordered bang bang chicken but unable to eat his as it was so spicy ,I told the staff this but they just said that's how it is ! His dad could no eat it either and he can eat anything but I did not make an issue out of it as my 16 year old son is so easily embarrassed .i have had bang bang chicken in many different places but nothing compared to this ! More like a bang bang Indian ! Staff friendly enough .

It's always a treat going to a restaurant especially one you haven't been to before but which has quickly grown in reputation since it opened recently.A close friend whose sporting career has seen him dine in some of the top restaurants and hotels in Northern Ireland invited me to this newly-opened venue in Cloughmills promising I wouldn't be disappointed with the food and service.To begin with, there's ample car parking space and the restaurant's seating arrangements means you're not sitting cheek by jowl and therefore privy to other people's conversations!Our waiter was courteous taking a drinks order and handing us a menu with a good variety of lunchtime meals.Pulled pork dishes appear to be popular nowadays and this is what one of us had with the other choosing gammon. Wise selections and accompanied with as much chips, garlic fries or other side orders of your choice to satisfy any degree of hunger.The food was absolutely delicious and if this is maintained Pattons will soon be a magnet for many in the North Antrim area.I always check toilets when in a restaurant and the gents was spotless - a sign that management have got their priorities right.Just before leaving, a couple came in as near as makes no difference to afternoon closing time and their earnest request for food was met with an approving nod by the chef, Tony. I have no doubt this will stand Pattons in good stead for future business from the pair.Pattons have undoubtedly made an impact with their food and I would thoroughly recommend this venue.

My husband and I had been to Pattons for Sunday Lunch and it was superb just like a Sunday roast at home, roast beef cooked beautifully with large home made Yorkshire puddings, fresh vegetables. Followed by Lemon Coconut pudding. The restaurant has a nice modern decor and the waiting staff very friendly and constantly checking your needs. We then decided to return for an evening meal which consisted of fine steaks cooked to order ie medium rare perfect. Again the staff very welcoming. The food is well priced with a good wine list on board. My gin and tonic served in a crystal clear glass with lots of ice and lemon just how I like it. This restaurant has nice little details ie colouring in books and lollipops for children. We will return again and again to sample all on the menu and the home baked wheaten baked on the premises is excellent.

The food was good with a reasonable menu choice. The restaurant is upstairs and it is done to a high standard. The bar below less so. The prices are comparable to all other restaurants in the area. The service was very good, quick and friendly. Certainly recommended. We have been 3 times already and plan to go again.

Having recently heard this place advertised on the local radio we thought we would give it a try I phoned ahead and booked a table as there was seven of us, greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table, colouring pages and pencils quickly provided to keep the kids entertained Lovely menu with plenty of dishes to pick from Food arrived quickly and well presented, generous portions and we cleared our plates but we had no room left to sample the desserts! Can't wait to come back again and try more dishes

Second visit for our table of six. Excellent menu choice for all ages. Helpful attentive staff. Presentation and quality from the kitchen is on another level. A real winner throughout.

Wonderful food, excellently cooked. Meat done to perfection. Very large portions. Friendly staff and lovely surroundings. Reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.
