Pastures Moo in Rotherham

Located in the heart of Wath upon Dearne, I pass this little boujee Ice-cream and pizza parlour most days, so I decided to pop in. The menu has a tasty array of homemade ice-cream, milkshakes, delicious pizza and cakes. Prices only slightly higher side, however the quality of the products are excellent and worth the money for what you get. The place is very clean and the staff very friendly and chatty. I even recommended an American best-selling seasonal flavour and favourite, they sounded willing to try making it, which is great! I'll definitely be in again to tickle my taste-buds. I highly recommend this place 5*

Our friends have raved about this place for months, so it was nice to try it. It was really creamy and the flavours really stood out. It clearly has a good reputation for more than just ice cream, as other people were placing quite large orders.

Best pizza's ever, only place to match them is in Italy! always have ice cream for desert and its always amazing...

I have visited Pastures Moo on many occasions and I am always thrilled with my experience! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The desserts are delicious! I can’t wait to return to try the Pizzas! 😋

What a find our family of 9 were catered for perfectly the children loved the homemade ice creams and milkshakes A warm welcome from a very efficient team, the pizzas that were freshly prepared were delicious the children gave them the thumbs up. Our meal was topped off with a lovely dessert the cheesecake I had was amazing that alone was worth a visit Highly recommend for food quality and great service *****

Visited a few times but first time reviewing. Young son loves the ice cream as a treat and on this occasion we decided to also have pizzas. Nice small menu, reasonably priced (pizzas £10 or less) for the quality and size of the pizzas and cooked to perfection. We had 4 pizzas total, consisting of three different flavours and all received high praise. Chilli oil served on the side for those that may want to add a little heat. Would recommend highly!

Came across it on instagram .took a visit with my daughter for a dessert we didnt rate the desserts we are used to montys which no1 can beat .we saw a few had pizzas n they looked delish. We decided to order and take 1 away and so glad we did. The owner was very friendly and helpful. My daughter took her partner as she was impressed they found a young lad so friendly who thanked them for visiting he defo stood out to them .they had drinks and pizzas and icecream and her partner said the pizza was one of the nicest hes had. They left happy and on to montys for desserts. We would 100% be back for the pizzas they are amazing so glad we found this .

Nice building however it is expensive and the quality is not the best. I would not rush to go again to be honest.

We have been a few times and we love going for an ice cream on a sunny day. It’s the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted, good quality and generous portion. Staff are lovely and friendly. We will be visiting plenty more times.

I have visited Pastures Moo on lots of occasions and it is always first class. I have had coffee, breakfast, lunch, cake, afternoon tea and of course their delicious Ice cream. You can buy the ice cream to take away too. The service is excellent. The staff are warm and friendly and always willing to adapt things on the breakfast and lunch menu to suit preference or allergies. People return time and time again which is always a good sign. It is very child friendly and a favourite place for my grandchildren. It gives me a good excuse to visit! The range of ice cream flavours is very varied with the standard flavours always available alongside a range that changes. Red Velvet, Messy Moo, Jaffa cake, Malteser, Banoffee, Unicorn, Irish cream to name but a few. They now have a card machine too! Pastures Moo is a rare find. It is a small family business who really care about their customers.

My children love this little place. It isn’t the cheapest around but it’s the best. Lovely decor and staff friendly too.

Come for the first time this weekend. Food was fantastic, so recommend! The young man that worked there was rather rude to the young lady that worked there, which is never nice to see. But all in all it’s an amazing place filled with lots of yummy treats!

Excellent quality products. Good range of choice. Only thing is you can sometimes wait quite a while to be served as gets busy

I suffer with a milk and rapeseed oil intolerance which means I struggle to eat our but pastures moo provided me with the most beautiful afternoon tea with sandwiches, crisps, desserts, coffees and soft drinks plus the most delicious sorbet I cant recommend them enough

This is a lovely little place, made excellent on my visit by one male member of staff, who's customer service skills are very natural and warm. I didn't take cash, but as I went to the cash machine across the road, he didn't roll his eyes or make a comment, he simply took my tea to a vacant table. The icecream was yummy and an exciting selection. It's quite a small café but didn't feel overly cramped. Very welcoming.

A lovely and friendly little place, good atmosphere, great coffee and superb ice cream & cakes. Definitely worth a visit. But it falls at the last hurdle when it comes to payment as they only take cash! Greasy spoons with chipped cups only take cash. Upmarket establishments like this take cards, Apple Pay and contactless. Invest in a card reader guys - having your customers queuing in the rain at a cash machine across the road is going back to the 1980s. Only a gripe though - still very good and well worth a visit.

The food here is amazing the chef is brilliant! There is always something new on the specials menu although some of these popular dishes have made it onto the regular menu although you can't beat the cheese mushroom and tomato wrap! The mini ice creams are amazing in each flavour to take away especially in the current weather!

Visited here today the ice creams were gorgeous and the service was friendly the only slight criticism I have is that the table was sticky and the floor dirty with melted icecream, it wasn’t busy when we went so no excuse really to have cleaned up, having said that we will be visiting again as the grandchildren loved their icecream and waffles

We have had lunch here before (quite superb)and their ice creams/ice cream cakes (now our favourite place to get ice cream) so today decided to try a breakfast.Be prepared for a small wait as its freshly cooked. Only got one thing to say really. QUALITY!!!.V.tasty.Staff are good and friendly too.Highly recommend

Visited this place for ice-cream beforebut 1st time for lunch was amazing..cheeseburger with 100%beef,,homemade chips were amazing and kids meals reasonably priced too. Fab friendly staff and would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

What a little pearl found in the unlikely oyster of Wath Upon Dearne. Excellent service / attentive to the fact we were in a rush. Breakfast was good - my wife loved her porridge with berries and syrup.

Not the best milkshake I’ve ever had but I suppose it’s okay. However, I guess it will do. Unfortunately, I can’t say that I was too pleased with the waiting time. We first had to wait like 20 minutes in the queue to be served and then once severed we were unable to order any of the things that we actually wanted because apparently they we out of stock. Our milkshakes were available though. We then had to go find a seat but then we were sat wait for another lengthy time waiting for these milkshakes. Even the people next to us who came after us go there drinks before us. It’s great if you’re in the local area and want some mediocre food and drinks but I wouldn’t specifically choose to go out of my way to come here.

Visited the restaurant with my friend the other day for lunch, we were both very impressed. The menu is very varied, I chose the chicken Quesadilla and my friend the Club sandwich, both were delicious and very reasonably priced. All the staff are very friendly and attentive...we are already planning our next visit.

We found this cafe very pleasant, clean and tidy with friendly staff. Food is ordered at the till and choice was limited but very good. Roughly £14 for two wraps with teas which we thought reasonable. Quite basic furniture but steps to single toilet means not suitable for disabled.

Me and 5 friends attended for afternoon tea. Went on a Saturday at 1.30pm, was veryyy busy which is to be expected on a rainy Saturday in wath. Liked the choice of drink rather than just been given a pot of tea at most places. Two of us shared one platter which was two min egg mayo, two ham and two cheese sandwichs each and a scone with cream and jam. Both realllly nice, scone lovely and not dry. We got asked to pop downstairs once we’d finished to choose either a piece of cake/brownie/other desert to go with either ice cream or cream. I chose the biscoff scoffington with honeycomb ice cream. Also absolutely delicious couldn’t even finish the biscoff so took it home. All in all really great afternoon tea would highly recommend although one bit of advice would be maybe more staff on a weekend and was a constant que of 4/5 people. Will most definitely returning, maybe during week though to sample lunch menu.

The food here is simply amazing since the new menu launched i can not fault one thing on the menu it is all fabulous! The ice cream is just as good as it always has been love going and seeing what flavours they have in at the time- cherry ripple is always a favourite!

I love it here because the ice cream flavours change constantly but they still keep their original bestsellers. They are also keeping up with the trends like freak shakes and unicorn ice cream. Great place to take kids, additional seating upstairs, great decor and they also do parties.

Pastures moo is lovely and local. We called for breakfast and it was really lovely. I really enjoyed my eggs florentine. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the sweet treats are Devine. Staff are friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to come again.

We love pastures moo, it’s a lovely place to take kids for a treat, Sofia lived her Santa’s sleigh, the staff are great with kids very warm and welcoming. And nothing is too much trouble for them. hoping to try the breakfast soon!

I have taken my Daughter for an ice cream after school on a number of occasions. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Always plenty of flavours to choose from and are always generous with the scope. The ice creams are made on the premises and are always fresh and tasty.

What a great little place. Family run and all Ice cream made on the premises and great flavours to choose from. Honeycomb Crunch is a particular favourite of mine and the selection of flavours change regularly. Spotless and dairy free versions available. Plus you can buy to take away.

We have called here several times as a treat for the little 'un after school (but also for the bigger 'uns as well!) The staff are clean, neat, well presented and courteous. The coffees are fine but the ice cream does take some choosing due to the proliferation of choices. Paid around £11 for 3 pots of ice cream, one cornet and 2 coffees - just about par for the course I would say.

not only do my kids love the ice cream but so do i, it's very nice but the need to store more honey combbecause every time i ask to take tub home they've always sold out thatsmine and my kids favourite and also the staff are very helpful

Me and my family are regulars at Pastures Moo - my daughter and I love the ice cream (So much so that I've started buying tubs to take home!) and my wife loves the cakes that are on offer.

Sure this is an ice cream shop that creates it's on favours using British dairy products. All lovely I am sure but I go for their delicious and unique Scoffingtons. Scoffingtons are a giant and multi flavoured variation on the Australian dessert 'Lambingtons' (sponge covered in raspberry jam, then a layer of chocolate then rolled in coconut) The PastureMoo Scoffingtons are bigger versions of this and have different favours - I had a pistachio and dark chocolate one and a Mint oreo one and they are delicious! The coffee is good and I also had a luxury milkshakes (ice cream, cookies and syrup mixed in) which were excellent too. Heads up this is a cash only establishment.

Me and my son go here several times a month, the staff is friendly and very welcoming, love to chat. They always decorate to the occasion Halloween, Easter & Christmas. The range of ice cream is fantastic I love majority of the flavours, it’s a very nice relaxing atmosphere great for the family or you just fancy a quiet coffee before going to pick the children up from school (which is what I do sometimes) they don’t however accept card only cash, that’s the only downside as there’s not that many cash machines close by that work or they do occasionally (best cash machine is in the post office)

We booked in for a meal and were greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco and chocolates on the table. 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £25 was amazing value for money. Staff were great as per usual at this place. Would definitely recommend

Me and my friend visited in December and unfortunately we were a little disappointed due to the shop being cold. I understand this is a stone building but the temperature of the place meant we did not enjoy our stay as much as we would have liked. There did not seem to be much choice in cakes unfortunately, they had chocolate and Victoria sponge. The cake we did have, Victoria sponge, was really tasty and we both had milkshakes which were beautiful. We would definitely go back to try again but I would avoid winter months so I don't have to leave my big coat on. I can see how people would be put off unfortunately.

Popped in here with the kids and its a great place. Yummy ice creams and incredibly friendly staff, who are always lovely, each and every time we go. Great coffee as well for parents and yummy cakes.

Popped in Pastures Moo the other day. We were pleasantly surprised at how cosy and quiant the cafe was. The cakes were well priced, £2:20 for a huge slice of cake. And you could get 3 scoops of ice cream, of Pastures Moo's fantastic home made ice cream, for only £3:50. For a cafe, especially as it was homemade, we thought it was amazing, and the ice creams we choose were delicious. The strawberry ice cream and the chocolate orange were a particular favourite of ours, and the lemon and blueberry cake was a delight too. Will definitely visit again.

Whilst visiting Wath with our Grand-daughter, five year old Summer, she expressed a wish to visit Pastures Moo for a hot chocolate, before attending a class at Cast Academy down the road.A fantastic venue with very polite and hospitable staff leading to a most delighted child.Thank You. We must do this again.

Found this hidden gem while on a family walk...beautifully presented and spotlessly clean...we had jacket potatoes, which came with fresh salad and homemade coleslaw! Despite it being busy we were more than happy to wait...if you prioritise "fastness" over freshness then this probably isn't the place for you! It makes a lovely change to have such an open and friendly atmosphere and to feel so welcomed by the lady who served us. We will definitely return!

My friends and I get an hour lunch break so we decided to have a sit down meal here but we waited half an hour for our paninis to arrive The coffee was brought after 5 minutes so we had cold coffee with the meal. The staff were over familiar and there were plates and cups left on the stairs when we were leaving we had to step over them .....health and safety prob there ... the skeleton staff need better training. The whole thing was a bad experience and we wouldn't go again unfortunately

Called for a treat day. The panini was fantastic, the lemon ice cream was so good . Good portion sizes.

Cracking ice cream and cakes. A little out of place in Wath, deserves to be situated somewhere more picturesque.Well worth a visit.

If you are passionate about ice cream then this is the place to go! Travelled far and wide to find good quality ice cream and this is by far the best. 100% beats the rest and you can tell that the family is very passionate about perfecting everything. The ice cream is made on sight and the boys that make the ice cream even travelled to Italy to master how to make it! Friendly staff what make you feel very welcome. Would recommend this place to just about anyone.

Pastures Moo is just down from where we live but only visit when grandchildren are visiting. It's half term and the first question from them was "which day are we going for ice cream " . Today was the first of the weeks visits and we will no doubt return. I don't eat ice cream but grandad and the children said it was lovely. They chose different flavours and all said it was "the best ice cream ever". There are lots of flavours to choose from as well as a various kinds of cones. For the non ice cream eaters like me there is tea and coffee and a wide selection of cakes and scones. Everywhere is clean and well presented.

The guys at Pastures Moo were kind enough to let us use the parlour for my Friends baby shower and it was perfect! The signature flavour ice creams are so good and everyone loved it! I can't recommend Pastures Moo enough, everything from the incredible service I received to the amazing Ice Creams we ordered.

Sent an email regarding visiting on my son's birthday with a few friend's. I received a response straight away, nothing was any trouble and was happy to accommodate any extra's such as hot food. although the food menu had closed by the time we had arrived.The visit was only short but the warm welcome and fantastic customer service were outstanding. The lattes and ice cream was delicious and we are already planning another trip.Thank you again for making a wonderful birthday treat for William!!

We visited this hidden little gem in Wath town centre after a hard day at school?!My 10 year old son opted for the Blue bubblegum icecream on a waffle cone & although I was sceptical , after trying it myself it was delicious! ! I opted for a rather reserved vanilla but that was fantastic ,lush & extra creamy!! They're a little pricey for an icecream but , that said you can sit in the parlour and the staff are very pleasant. You can have food also and hot beverages too thus catering for all tastes on a trip out.A warm friendly atmosphere and clients ranging from young to old.

Delicious home made ice cream and cakes. At a good price too. Available for all the family it does get busy at times but never had to wait which is good. Open on Sunday's too. Well worth a visit

I would be lying if I were to say that the proximity of Pastures Moo didn't have a little influence on the location of our move last year. But now it's even better as its not just ice cream and cake anymore. On weekdays they serve 'proper' food and it's delicious!I have had lunch twice (sandwiches both times) and a bacon butty this morning. I think everything is locally sourced. It certainly tastes like it. I find the staff, young and less young, friendly and knowledgeable. Please support their new venture into breakfast and lunch as it certainly deserves to succeed.

Just stopped here for lunch...what a find! The food was lovely, all homemade, freshly prepared and well presented! All you need is a good appetite. However their speciality had to be their homemade ice cream which is to die for! Well worth a visit!

Best ice cream parlour ever with an unbeatable range of flavours! Also gorgeous locally sourced food served on weekdays, with no doubt the best quality in Wath. To top my visit off the staff were amazing and are an absolute asset to the parlour, they couldn't be more accommodating and are great with kids. Will defiantly be returning in the near future.

This is an excellent little ice cream parlour/cafe that makes its own ice cream. We go as a family all the time and the staff are friendly and professional.

This is a good place to go for ice cream, the kids love it though they often sellout of the flavours when I go! There is a good seating area and they are starting to do food and not just desserts. I have yet to try the food. The prices are a little expensive for the area but quality is good.

Visited today with my mum for lunch. The food was gorgeous, we had quiche and it was freshly cooked and well worth the money. Staff are very friendly and the place is so nice and clean. Will definitely be returning and will be letting all my friends and family know so they can go and visit. The lady cooking and serving the food was very friendly and professional and is a credit to pastures moo.

Visited the parlour, friendly staff and a good selection of goodies. We both had sundaes which were yummy, lovely creamy ice cream. Clean and reasonably priced. They also serve delicious looking cakes and coffee!

We visit here regularly for a cosy coffee and ice cream as we live nearby but I have to say, it beats 'Our Cow Molly' and 'Yummy Yorkshire's' ice cream any day of the week! Great service and creative flavours make this a gem of a find in Wath!

Visited this parlour with my 2 children. The young lady serving was very attentive and friendly. This place is fantastic, my kids could not make their minds up which ice cream to choose, because there was so much choice of flavours, so they were offered the chance to try before you buy. I had a Lavazza coffee, which was perfect. We will definitely be visiting again

This was my second visit and it was even better than the first! Great choice of ice-cream flavours, pistachio was mouth watering delicious. My friend tried the rum & raisin and said it was nicest ice-cream she'd ever had! The staff are very polite and friendly and let you try the flavours before you decide. If you love ice cream, this is your idea of heaven!! The venue is lovely and the ice cream is actually made on the premises. It is absolutely to die for. The staff were friendly and welcoming and helped us to decide which flavours to try. Would highly recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth and we will definitely be visiting again soon! Just visited this parlour with my 3 children (4,6 &8) whilst visiting relatives and I have to say, I'm really surprised to read some of the reviews below. It's as if these people went to a different ice cream parlour! The place itself is ice cream heaven. Decor is lovely. Parking is free and just over the road. The (admittedly) young girls working behind the counter were very professional and friendly. They allowed my kids to 'try before you buy'. This was fab as the freezer was out of order so the kids couldn't see to choose. We had a caramel, a luvely jubbly, a rum & raisin and a Bounty. All of them were AMAZING!! So tasty. The kids loved choosing their sprinkle cones and toppings. I also had an Illy coffee latte which was made to perfection. I noticed there was also a selection of cakes but to be honest, we were happy with our ice creams! I would definitely come again.

I went with my two children and we each ordered an ice cream and I also ordered a tea. The staff that were on were two young ladies who looked very bored and although they were not rude could really do with some customer service training. The girl who brought the ice cream out seemed to almost throw it at us but didn't speak to us, my 4 year old said thank you very much (as we all did) but he wasn't even acknowledged. My tea arrived with the same silent treatment. I don't expect a full blown conversation but it felt like we were an inconvenience! There wasn't much atmosphere but it was hard to chat as the music was on very loud!We will probably go back and try it again and hope for friendlier staff next time!

I'm not an ice-cream lover so probably not the best review but still.a few points to make. The place is lovely inside and the staff seem friendly enough. The ice-cream and cakes however I found boring and I personally think a tub of ben and jerrys is alot nicer and better value for money. Well-done to the young lads for what seems like a successful venture.
