We have been dining here for several years and nowhere else compares in terms of the fabulous food and such lovely staff. Every visit is a joy.

The restaurant rocks an unpleasant mid 70s vibe however the food and service were excellent.

My wife and I went for meal hear didn't enjoy it at all no table clothes on tables table top looked like a work bench starter was ok but for two people small portion then curry finally came out no hot plate to put food on which I expect at a curry house rice was awful all stuck together and in a dish the size of 2p my curry was awful prosessed chicken hard to cut into sent it back owner said its the way we marinade it ?? AVOID.

The best mutton jalfrezi. A deep depth of flavours and a hint of spice, slow cooked succulent meat. Superb in every way.

Lovely place, good service and always excellent curries although the house special onion bhajis we're nothing special and £3 for a very small portion of boiled rice seemed excessive. That said everyone enjoyed their meals very much.

Polite staff on service.The actual curry was average. Unfortunately a little bit of a ' jarred' taste to it and I'm sure people will understand what I mean by that. I paid £12 for a large dish which ended up being a larger container which was 3/4 full. I had garlic chilli chicken. The disappointment was when you actually looked at the contents there were lots of large whole green chillies so when you took them out it was half full ( I note a photo below with a curry full of green chillies padding it out) No where near enough waste of £12. Wouldn't go back again.

Starters were lovely. Mains not so good. They ran out of veg so couldn’t have a veg bhuna had to have a chicken one. There was no taste or spice. Egg fried rice had no egg from what I could see and had so many raw onions it was awful. Not asked how main course was and I just didn’t have the energy to say anything! Worse mean I’ve had for a long time and we don’t get out often either so really disappointed!

Excellent service, tasty authentic dishes, good presentation and a nice atmosphere. Our first visit but we will return.

Very nice freshly prepared food. Very welcoming, friendly staff. If you like hot dishes, try the Chicken Naga. Certainly lived up to its award winning billing, would highly recommended 👌 Parking a little difficult, potential for parking in the pub car park next door.

Absolutely lovely everything. Such tasty food and beers, everything was 10 out of 10 for our visit. We were a bit worried as the outside looks a tad run down but due to reviews we thought we would give it a go, having just moved to the area we wanted a local go to Indian restaurant which will now be our local. We went early as we had kids with us, food didn’t take long and tasted freshly made and was hot. We had 4 adult meals and 1 kids meal with 9 sides which included rice, chips, naans, onion bhaji and chapattis with 2 pints of beer and it only came to £80 which we thought was exceptional value. We highly recommend based on our visit and will be taking family and friends in future.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I ordered a takeaway in person having chosen the restaurant based on good reviews. When I walked in there was a warm welcome and nice ambiance so I thought it was promising, but sadly the food was pretty bad. I ordered a vegetable korai and chapattis, which according to the menu should have been a "flavourful dish created using the chefs specially prepared karai spices cooked with fresh pieces of capsicum and onions to give a flavoursome finish. Specially served in piping hot wok". I appreciate that you don't get the wok with a takeaway! But the insinuation is that it is a freshly cooked dish, and what I received was the usual overcooked, oily, reheated rubbish that is churned out by many a mediocre takeaway. Very sad to write this as I'm a huge fan of good independent restaurants, but it was a depressing offering.

The food was great, really tasty, and reasonably priced, can't fault the place.

Had a fantastic time at Parmars last night for my birthday. They made me feel very special. When we arrived they had happy birthday banners up & balloons, the food was fantastic & service absolutely great. They then took it upon themselves at the end of the meal to sing happy birthday with complimentary chocolate brownie. Such thoughtfulness & we all enjoyed the whole evening. Thank you Parmars !

Collected a take away from here and was so looking forward to delightful past experiences of both dining in and taka away quality (was the best by miles for miles) the meal well wrapped sub £30.00. On unpacking the meals were Cold, Bland and tasteless and probably over done or re warmed over a period and the left to cool to tepid temperatures. This included the Nan, chapattis, starters and two main dishes. Very disappointed as were all who suffered the cuisine provided. Something has changed here and it saddens me to declare I will not be visiting again. As said above, this was by far the most authentic and delightful Indian restaurant and take away for miles and sad to see a demise of an establishment that was something quite special for our area.

Quite an extensive menu I chose the lamb with naga chilli With naan We were served drinks and a pickle tray and after what seemed to be a quick interlude we were served our meal Every thing was well presented In Balti style dishes The roti chapattis and naan was fresh and taste The curry... Best curry in the world! They offer vegetarian and gluten free options. Staff are lovely. Beer is lip smackingly gorgeous.

Food was exceptional the only advice I could give is that they offer cheesy chips aswell for the takeaway menu.

We visited as a family of 3 adults for Christmas Day again in 2022 after having numerous great meals throughout the year. We were not disappointed as the experience was great and the food was excellent as always. We have a thing for overdone Nan bread and they cook them exactly how we like 👍🏻 As ever the owners and all staff are very good and welcome all customers whether new or returning and we would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very poor offering from parmars tonight via uber eats. Onion bhajis, shami and seehk kebabs over cooked and under seasoned. Bombay potatoes sparse and mostly base sauce, bhindi bhaji same sauce bit crunchy/undercooked. Poppodoms and chutneys ok, byriani underseasoned sauce very hot. Overall very poor. Haven't been to parmars in a while, won't be returning.

Lived up to Google reviews. Very good food, decent portions and lovely staff. Not as big inside as anticipated so for weekend booking is a must, we were a only a party of 2 and lucky to get sat.

I made a booking for twelve people on Thursday (Oct 19) night. Everyone commented on the quality of food and service. One of our party said it was the best Indian food he had ever tasted. Thank you Dilesh and team. We’ll be back.

Visited tonight on an extremely busy Saturday. Didn't book but a quick drink at the bar and were seated in approximately 20 minutes. I Don't regularly give reviews but sometimes when something or someone stands out it's necessary. Not only was the food fantastic as always but the lovely waitress Sara needs a special mention, super friendly and attentive with customer service skills well above her years. She was an absolute pleasure to chat with and did a great job from start to finish. We look forward to our next visit, keep up the good work team Parmars Jimmy and Katy

I’ve done Indian in the states and in London, but this was way better. Super authentic and tasty, but also gave great options for the first timer. The staff was beyond exceptional. So kind and thoughtful. I’ve give it 10 stars if I could.

First visit to this busy little place. Apparently its won awards and I can see why. Lovely curry best I've had in a long while. Friendly staff and very good price. Hubby would have like his a little hotter not as in spice but said it soon went cold maybe warm plates would have been better. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Delicious food that has you making appreciative noises while eating and superb service. Absolutely cannot fault them. A definite must visit! Parking is very limited, so would recommend using public transport.

We booked Parmars at the last minute, and we were not disappointed. I ordered a chicken bhuna, which is usually dry, dark, and spicy. Though it was nice, this time it was not the bhuna style I was used to, so I guess Parmars create their own styles? My partner ordered a Matter Paneer, and both curry portions were large. Parking was a little difficult. We will definitely go again sometime.

I'd been here before - 2019 - before covid etc. so was looking forward to going back. The service was great, starter was lovely. I had the fish pakora, yum! Everyone enjoyed their curries. No complaints whatsoever. I'll be back again for sure!!

Fantastic food, great portion sizes and plenty if meat in the currys. The naan bread is delicious and really recommend the spicy version of korma, just delicious!

First meal at Parmars and I’d definitely go again. The staff were friendly and keen to make sure we were happy with our meals. The food came pretty quickly. They did the fish masala starter as a main meal for me and it was lovely. We also had the best peshwari naan I’ve had in a long while (no dried out crustyness, thank god). Laid back, pleasant atmosphere.

We've found the staff very kind and professional, apart from one unpleasant young lady with blonde, long hair, who seemed to dislike us with no apparent reason. Food was lovely and prices reasonable.
