I had an amazing time today for my friends 40th birthday! Altay was an amazing host he was very passionate about what he does! He even took some amazing group pictures 😊

We had a nice afternoon tea at the Park Room. It was an upscale experience with an extensive collection of both traditional and more eclectic teas. I also enjoyed the cocktails. We came with our seven year old son who also very much enjoyed the experience. The servers were kind to him and I appreciate that they had a kids option to make his experience special as well.

First off we just left the Park Room. Normally I don’t write reviews but because of how much I was impressed by this AMAZING tea service and employees at this establishment… I’m writing a review. Pratigya at the Park Room was such an amazing kind soul who provided the most exceptional tea service and kindness to my family. My family is visiting because my mom just turned 70. She lost everything in a major California wildfire 5 years ago, has over come many health challenges and changes in our family. So this was a big trip for her to return to where she grew up . She hasn’t been back for 40 years. But today we ventured out on a massive walk… with my 6 year old for a whopping 15k step journey to Hyde park before tea. We all have jet lag and this poor kiddo fell asleep in a cab to the park room it’s only 1 pm mind you. Pratigya was so kind that my child was literally asleep at high tea for the first course… the pictures are hilarious. My mom was showered with a beautiful tea service… amazing birthday cakes and kindness that she hasn’t experienced in a long time. I can’t say enough about the sheer excellence in this hotel as well. The doorman was genuine and kind, the lovely restroom attendant, to all staff working in just the lobby. We didn’t stay at the hotel but felt very welcome. This says a lot about a hotel of this caliber. I just can’t say enough about the whole experience…. And my daughter won’t stop hugging the adorable pup stuffy she was given at the end. “If you’re going with a child… you won’t regret the adorable tea… the hot chocolate is awesome too.” Thank you so much… worth every penny and the best tea service on this trip.

I booked afternoon tea for my 40th birthday for myself and a group of friends. From booking to the day it was excellent service. On the day our main server was Altay. His customer service was above and beyond. He made us laugh, he served us with such kindness and he took amazing photos of us. He was also very attentive to our needs. All the staff were exceptional. I would definately come back again. Amazing evening.

Beautiful spot! The service was sooo nice, in particular Pratigya was so sweet and kind! First afternoon tea experience and I already want to do it again! Truly wonderful, the ambiance is amazing <3 I would recommend to anyone wanting to experience high tea!

We dined at the Park Room for afternoon tea and had a fabulous experience. Frederico took excellent care of us and was a very attentive host. The tea was phenomenal, and the environment is very nice. They don’t try to cram too many people in the restaurant, nor do they rush you through the experience. I would highly recommend this as a venue for relaxing, traditional afternoon tea.

One of the best afternoon teas! Booked for a birthday, Siri was very knowledgeable and did a great job at making it special by ensuring we had everything we needed. Teas, sandwiches, scones and sweet treats were delicious. The birthday chocolate cake, in particular, was incredible I need more!

We had an absolutely spectacular afternoon tea. I loved the little rose and egg shaped cakes that they were serving for Easter. They even serve a gluten free tea if you give them a day’s warning that you’ll need it. The server, Federico, was extremely knowledgeable about both the teas and cakes. And very helpful with the gluten free serving

Heart warmingly kind service escorted by awesomely delicious afternoon bites in elegant environment on a coldish good Monday afternoon.

Came here for Tea one evening and was only too happy we did. The service was exceptional and it had a wonderfully relaxed feel. Although we did not have the popular afternoon tea, there was a lively selection on offer and it's open until 1.30 am! Please note that after 6pm, if you are not resident at the hotel, there is a astonishing £35 surcharge per head, in addition to any food and beverages. This was the only drawback for evening attendance, however, the Managing Hostess, Valentina very kindly,waived this for us. We were served by a wonderful host Pratigya, who couldn't have been more delightful. We were so happy with the service experience that we will definitely visit for Afternoon Tea one day. Another great thing is that they serve all Halal food.

Exceptional service. It was a gift for my mum fir Mother's day. Tea was excellent, kept ensuring we had enough to both eat and drink. Would definitely recommend. Federico was our waiter and he was extremely attentive.

What an amazing experience! The Park Room tea service was an exquisite blend of elegance and comfort. The food is nothing but luxurious, the tea unmatched in quality, and the staff, Saiful in particular, go above and beyond. It’s an experience I’m not likely to forget!

Best value for money Afternoon Tea in London. Service was really nice and so was the food. It’s very indulgent so not something you can do every day but definately something you want to do every day. Leo and Siri were fantastic.

Their treatment and reception are very bad, knowing that I am a customer in the hotel and they prefer visitors from abroad with more respect than you, especially the employee Valentina. Bad management and a bad restaurant. You did not host me in the restaurant and put me in an outside place. I put a star for rating and writing Because I repeat the visit and residence Very bad

I had the pleasure of being served by Yuliia, and I must say, she is an exceptional waiter. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service really enhanced my experience. She went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed and made great recommendations.

One of the best afternoon tea I have ever had in London! Everything is perfect! The food is delicious and the service provided by Irina and Leo is excellent. They are always attentive and professional! Will definitely come again!

What a lovely experience. We had a voucher for tea for 2 people with champagne. We arrived early and they were happy to accommodate us. The open sandwiches were lovely. The main finger sandwiches were replenishable whenever you wanted more. There was a choice of jams and a very extensive tea menu, of which you can choose multiple through the experience. We didn't expect the extra choice of a slice of the cakes included with the voucher at the end of the tea, but they were happy to box these up for us, as we were too full to eat them. Most of all the service throughout was impeccable. We watched each member of staff really taking time to engage with their tables, nothing was too much. They entertained small children and sang happy birthday multiple times to many tables. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Very disappointed with the service the cheese cake was really good but very never got to enjoy it scone we never got our coffee or tea

We really enjoyed the Snowman afternoon tea, the menu keepsakes were a lovely touch. The ambiance just adds to the experience especially the resident pianist. The food was delicious and we couldn't finish it all! Leo who served us had great tea recommendations and excellent hospitality. Overall would highly recommend.

We had an amazing time having afternoon tea in the park room. Mark who served us took very much care of us and we had some great conversations between enjoying the food and tea. We would definitely recommend having an afternoon tea there since it was a great (and proper British) experience during our stay in London.

Those people are either scammers or extremely stupid. I have been charged extra £70 on my order for being a nonresident but I am a resident and they took my room number before I went there. They stated when I entered that tonight only resident are allowed in so it’s really hard to believe they have mistakenly charged me. After paying and realizing something is not right, I asked them about the £70 cover charge added on my bill and they all acted dumb. They were very rude when I asked for a refund and they were trying to convince to get on another day. There weren’t a single apology during this whole thing which shows that this place has no sense of hospitality.

My friends and I had an amazing afternoon tea at the Park room. We loved the Christmas theme, the snowman cake was delicious and the early December morning granita was wonderful. In particular Pratigya our server was amazing, nothing was too much for her, she was friendly , smiley and very helpful. She made our afternoon tea experience very special. Thank you Pratigya.

Go when your hungry 100% as the food quantity is verrrrry goood and enough for a full board meal! Everything was excellent! Loved every moment of it!

The service hear was really good our waitress was very helpful. The atmosphere here was very nice with comfortable seats. The pastries were very nice however the the bread on the sandwiches tasted dry. The tea’s were very nice. However the decaffe Americano was very bitter

Service is the slowest we’ve experienced in London, we were kept waiting for an absurdly long time to get anyone to take our order. Then when our order was taken it took even longer to arrive, despite the fact that we only ordered some coffee and cheesecake. The cheesecakes arrived before the coffee and by the time the coffee finally arrived, the cheesecakes were just sitting there half eaten (we wanted to have at least a few bites with the coffee).

LOVE the scones and coffee! Lunch were nice here. Club sandwiches and trio mini burgers were flavourful but they shockingly caloric 😂 Staff were super nice and friendly. Piano live performance starts at 1pm💓

Food is okay but service is really bad especially from Siri.

The cover charge the apply on top whatever you order is ridiculous and does not make any sense !! Although The cheesecake is AMAZING but keep in mind that you can have it also in the corner coffee shop (Starbucks) or in the restaurant JW steakhouse.

The wait air is terrible , very impolite , he disappears and we have to try to find him , everytime we need an order.

Excellent afternoon tea experience. We had the Festive Afternoon Tea set accompanied by their Grosvenor House Blend tea, which was truly delightful and beautifully presented. Very comfortable atmosphere with live piano music. Superb customer service, especially from Valentina who took care of us throughout our whole stay. Definitely coming back. We were told The Park Room does require a booking reservation but this was very easy for us to do through their website.

I stayed at JW Marriott for couple of days. It is hard to miss this place if you are going in from the Park Land entrance. We saw people have the time of their life in there, so we thought we should give it a try. What we didn’t know was that you have to make a reservation for the high tea. The waiter however was kind enough to ask the kitchen if they have an extra set left to serve, and they did! The variety and the presentation of the food were good. And the selection of the tea is phenomenal! However, I wouldn’t say that the taste was on par with the price tag. The service as you can imagine was quite attentive. That was my first high tea experience, and overall I enjoyed it.

We went there for the afternoon tea and from all the places around the world that we have been to this was a unique and extraordinary experience. From the friendly hostess that treated us, to the excellent service from our server Altay we were flashed and impressed. The food and tea was also delicious, but truly the kindness of the staff made this experience so unique.

First, my friends and I were VERY late...VERY later, but after a little pleading the staff was able to move some things around and accommodate us. They treated us like royalty. There was a vast selection of tea and they were tasty. We liked almost all of the food. Didn't care for most of the desserts. Our waitress Siri (seen in the picture) was polite and attentive. The staff were kind of enough to take pics and boomerangs of us, which was much appreciate. I definitely recommend this place!

The food and the atmosphere are great. The service is bad. Ordered Turkish coffee with little sugar got one with medium. They said they will replace never did after a long time then said it is no longer available!

If you are not staying in the hotel, don’t bother come. They don’t accept outside guests. Otherwise the service and atmosphere is nice, average food.

Service was quite slow although the afternoon tea was splendid, yet very expensive considering the speed of service. The pianist was good.

The delicious afternoon tea at the Park Room & Library is a unique time to gather friends around a table filled with various types of tea and delicious desserts. An excellent experience!

Had the BEST time at afternoon tea here celebrating my mom's birthday! Sabyra was taking care of us, and she made our time so wonderful, she was very attentive and made sure we loved everything. Tea and food was delicious too, best scone I have ever had.

Afternoon tea is a delight. I am a vegan with many allergies, and I was well catered for. Beautiful setting, lovely food, and excellent service. I would like to mention Altay, who was very attentive. Cannot praise the Park Room highly enough.

It’s always a must when visiting London. Their High Tea is out of this world experience. Beautifully crafted Pastries with unique Jams and Tea is simply amazing. Andre was a great host. Highly recommend.

We booked afternoon tea in the Park Room to round off our Christmas shopping trip and it more than exceeded our expectations. The room had a wonderful ambience and the staff were so welcoming. The food and champagne were excellent and our waiter, Altay, attended to our every need with professionalism and a smile. He helped to make it a wonderful experience. We will return.

I took my wife here for our special occassion and we both absolutely loved it! Tsampika, our server, made this experience a memorable one. Tsampika went extra mile with an impecable service. The food was amazing, the best scones I had ever tried! Tsampika recommended the perfect teas according to our taste, so we really enjoyed every single piece of it.Very luxurious and grand settings - worth every penny & I would love to go there again! While staying at the hotel recently, we were looking for lunch and decided to have a quick bite at the Park Room. We had only experienced them for afternoon tea before, so perusing their "all day dining" menu was a little different.They have a good selection of salads and sandwiches, which can be augmented with a good selection of wines and champagnes.Food is a subset of that on offer from the JW Steakhouse (also in the hotel), but served in the opulent style of the Park Room.If you're looking for something slightly less than afternoon tea, this is an option. (Although afternoon tea at the Park Room is also excellent.)

We booked breakfast in The Park room as we were just in London for the day with our children and fancied breakfast with a view. We were not let down!The Park Room is beautiful. Although we were one of the only families there we were made to feel very welcome by the waitress. My children fancied variations of the menu which were all accommodated with no problems at all. The scrambled eggs were to die for and youngest loved the fruit platter! The service was excellent. The waitress was really kind to the children, laughing along with them and making them feel welcome. Nothing we requested was too much trouble and we had a lovely start to the day. We cant wait to come back.

My friend and I enjoyed a fantastic Afternoon Tea experience at The Park Room at the Grosvenor Hotel Park Lane on Saturday. The room is a beautiful setting and the Christmas decorations were stunning. The afternoon tea was delicious - sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, pastries and some cake to take away with you. Altay our waiter looked after us so well. Not only was he thrilled to be back at work after Lockdown 2.0 but was so attentive, funny, knowledgable and make the whole experience just perfect. Despite London having moved into the new Tier 2 (High) Covid-19 category, my wife and myself had Afternoon Tea earlier today in the Park Room at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.We arrived a little late but were given a warm welcome by both Andre and Herlyn who were not only expecting us (current bookings are understandably much lower than normal) but provided exceptional service throughout our visit. With only one other table taken, we were soon sitting at one of the nice window tables overlooking Hyde Park.After taking our Tea (we both opted for English Breakfast) and Jam (Ginger & Rhubarb, Rose Petal and Strawberry) orders, it wasn’t long before our substantial Afternoon Tea (good range of delicious sandwiches, 4 lovely scones and some nice deserts) arrived. There was certainly plenty to eat and what was left was put into a doggy bag together with 2 slices of lemon drizzle cake.Not only that, we had two pots of Ginger & Lemon Tea before departing by which time it was pleasing to see several other tables having been taken.All in all, it was a most enjoyable experience - enhanced by both Andre & Herlyn who certainly went the extra mile as far as we were concerned!

We visited London during the COVID19 pandemic. We were very sad to see there was only one other table besides us when this place is usually packed. Our server, Santiago, provided excellent service during this difficult time. The children very much enjoyed talking to him.We had two Anna’s afternoon tea and two children’s afternoon tea to celebrate our son’s birthday. The food was excellent from the finger sandwiches, open sandwiches, scones, and the desserts. The Park Room also gave the children souvenirs to remember the tea. We named the English Beagle toys Hot Chocolate and Cheese since those were the children’s favourites from the tea. My son also got a very special birthday plate from The Park Room. All the staff there were very friendly.Overall, it was a very memorable experience that we would always remember. I hope everyone at The Park Room stay safe and take good care of themselves.

The best afternoon tea of every! Me and my mum enjoyed until the end thanks at the really profectional, friendly and accuracy staff. They maked to feel us like a very important people and we had lived this magic moment in the heart of London with exclusive vew in front of Hide Parck. Luca, Haltay, Georgiana, Giorgia, Santiago and Saiful. Everyone have dedicated their attencion for us. Really luxury standard,with a culture of their products and the history about them!

We visited the Park Room for afternoon tea on the 21st of February and I have to say that it was the most wonderful experience. We arrived half an hour early but we were still able to be seated before our time slot which was nice. We had a table by the window with views of Hyde Park. The Park Room is wonderful with sufficient space between each table. Irene the lady who served us was amazing, very attentive and looked after us very well. We were first served a palette cleanser which was very refreshing. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. As we do not like chicken, this was replaced by something else. Nothing was too much trouble or Irene. The cakes were equally delicious and the scones were superb; the best we have had so far. The choice of jams were excellent and we particularly enjoyed the rose petal jam. At the end of our afternoon tea, we were asked to choose two slices from a selection of cakes to take away to remind us of our wonderful time there, which was a lovely surprise. The atmosphere was wonderful, the pianist was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was superb. Thank you Irene for making us feel so special and for making our afternoon tea experience at the Park Room a memorable one. We highly recommend.

My mother and I had a lovely time at the Park Room, Grosvenor for Afternoon Tea. We were served by Saiful who was very attentive and helpful. Only 2 thing stop this from getting a 5 star rating from me; 1) the slightly uncomfortable soft seating (not the arm chairs - if possible, try to get a table where everyone can sit on one rather than one of the tables along the walls with the soft green seats), 2) the scones were not very nice - they were overly crispy and felt overcooked to the bite and the raisins tasted a little burnt. Overall a recommended place to come for a nice and traditional Afternoon Tea.

Some friends and I booked the afternoon tea on a chilly and rainy Sunday. The presentation and flavor of the food was remarkable, in particular the egg salad and chicken sandwiches. I also enjoyed the scones with rose petal jam, which seemed especially refined.I have rarely experienced such fine and professional service. When we arrived, the hostess promptly greeted us and directed us to the coat room. The coat room clerk graciously handled the many bags we had accumulated from our day of shopping. After taking our seats in the dining room, our server Altay took extreme care with our experience. He regularly circulated by our table, making charming conversation and offering to refresh our plates with fresh scones and sandwiches as we ate. Our server's knowledge of tea was impressive, demonstrated by his suggestions with the tea menu. At the conclusion of our meal, he presented us with long-stem roses in celebration of Valentine's Day. I will be returning to the Park Room on my next visit to London!

It is our first time visiting London. My ten year old son wanted to have an afternoon tea. We were guests at the JW Grosvenor House hotel and opted to try their afternoon tea in the Park Room. It was an amazing experience. Altay, our server, was incredibly patient with my can’t sit still and inquisitive son. He ordered hot chocolate instead of tea, but Altay brought him a fruity tea to try as well. My beau and I thoroughly enjoyed our delicious selection of sandwiches, scones, and treats. We both selected the earl grey tea and it was the best tea I’ve ever had. Altay gave my son a JW Grosvenor English bulldog as we were leaving. Again, a wonderful experience for our first time. Thankful for our server not making us feel ignorant and being helpful in educating us on the art of the afternoon tea.

I waited more than 15 minutes for service and had to inquire with hostess whether I was invisible before I was waited on. Worst service I have had in London. I was one of few women there and had to wonder, was that why I was ignored?

Afternoon tea on the 12th February 2020. Food and tea was superb, excellent range of sandwiches, scones were gorgeous. Service from Saiful was fantastic.

El ambiente era maravilloso, la comida era excelente y abundante (teníamos un relleno de sándwiches y bollos y nos dieron un trozo de tarta cada uno para llevar en casa con nosotros) pero la guinda del pastel fue el servicio. Todo fue muy agradable, especialmente nuestras camareras, Irene y Giorgia, que fueron muy atentas y amables. ¡Muchas gracias! !

My husband, daughter and I spent a most enjoyable few hours having afternoon tea here. The food was delicious and plentiful. Thought being able to choose which jams we wanted with our scones was a nice touch. Our waiter, Manuel, was charming and most attentive, bringing us top ups of sandwiches and hot water for our teapots. Beautiful surroundings and excellent service. Highly recommend

As a family of four we visit London every christmas and treat ourselves to afternoon tea at a nice hotel. This year we decided to try the park room at grosvenor house at 5.00pm on 29/12/19, park lane. First impressions were good, we were given a nice window table with a view of hyde park's winter wonderland. After 20 minutes someone decided to take our tea order. After about another 20 minutes we received our sandwiches. We later managed to catch another waitress and asked for more tea which was a big mistake. After what must have been 20 to 25 minutes a tray of 4 tea pots were put on the bar counter and just left there. We witnessed 3 to 4 seperate waitresses look at the tray, check the ticket and just walk away, they must have been sitting on the counter for at least 20 minutes before a waitress walked past us and then realised a tray of tea was sitting there for us. We eventually got our second tray of tea which had by now cooled down so we made another mistake and asked for some hot water. Yes, you've guessed it another 20 minutes. The service at the park room was like pulling teeth, even waiting for the bill which we never received and had to go to the pay counter was too much. I was then given a bill with a extra £27.00 service charge. I told the lady I was not prepared to pay any service charge as the service was terrible. Without a word she just turned around printed another receipt and handed it to me. I paid cash and there wasn't a single word from her, she might have well been deaf and dumb, no sorry, thanks or anything else. Most of the staff in the park room seem quite adept at making themselves look busy without really knowing what they are doing. Never again. Back to the Langham hotel next year.

This place has a wonderful afternoon tea. The lunch is embarrassing. They were out of buns for the mini burgers- when you have so few items on your menu how can you do that? The sandwiches were tasteless.

We received a gift experience for a champagne tea at the Park Room, Grosvenor House on Park Lane. What a lovely way to while away a couple of hours. We were wonderfully attended to by Manuel, explaining the different exotic teas and always close at hand. The Park Room is a beautiful setting and we had live piano music in the background all which added to a very special occasion. London is such a busy and vibrant place and yet here we could find a little place of quiet charm. Thank you Manuel for making our tea special.

Lovely afternoon tea here last Friday (20th). Excellent choice of teas and lovely food (scones to die for) all served by a team of very pleasant, informed and helpful staff. Totally unhurried too, we could have stayed a lot longer...

Excellent service and wonderful food. Enjoyed afternoon high tea and the selection of sandwiches and pastries was amazing. The tea menu was succinct and not overwhelming, staff were attentive and always smiling. Special mention to Manuel for service that is above and beyond. The ambience was warm and relaxing. Highly recommended for an unforgettable afternoon tea.

We arrived early as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children aged 8&5 for their first experience having an afternoon tea. We confirming the booking 24 hours beforehand making sure they were prepared for a gluten free option. On arrival we doubled checked and again confirmed regarding gluten free. We were taken to our table which was lovely and told we had 2 hour sitting. They took our order after 15 mins and we asked for no banana finger sandwiches for the children and asked for a gluten free afternoon tea.

Wonderful afternoon tea. The young lady looking after us was so friendly and the other staff where also wonderful.

This was not the first time my friend's son gave her a voucher for two for afternoon tea, but it was definitely our best experience so far - & we are dedicated to & experienced in London's such offerings. Grosvenor House is half-way down Park Lane (the old USA Embassy building is just behind), near Mayfair & Oxford Street shops, & the Park Room overlooks Hyde Park. The decor is elegant (the waitresses' outfits tone in) & the comfortable seats were at a comfortable height for older ladies. Despite the busy road outside, the room was quiet & calm, & the piano music was not intrusive. Our personal waitress, Eniko, was focussed on us enjoying ourselves, & was there - without summoning - whenever we needed her. Mention of my negative reaction to chocolate quickly produced delicious alternatives, & when I had a clumsy accident, Eniko sorted it quickly, quietly, mitigating my embarrassment. The champagne was the real thing, & had we wished, we could have had additional sandwiches, cakes, & tea in addition to the initial generous offering. We would highly recommend the Park Room, & it is certainly on our list for repeat visits.
