Never received my order. Restaurant would not answer their phone

Food was lovely as always but late delivery.

Took an hr and a half. Obviously been sitting ages. Some of the food was cold. Very disappointed.

Order late, food burnt and some of it was quite greasy. Really disappointing meal. Shame

got a chicken burger meal and it was absolutely beautiful, as were the chips definitely the best i’ve had in a long time

2nd time ordering. First time was delicious, but late. this time was early but chips were so stale and hard.

Food was greasy and the fish was burnt, delivery was also very late. I've had a few times from here but the last couple of times it's went downhill. I probably won't be returning anytime soon

Delievery was over an hour and 10 mins late, chips like water burger bun soaking and very little curry sauce iver the supper

the gravy chip was anything but nice I couldn't eat it threw it straight in the bin won't be ordering from here again

Fantastic food! Actually crisp chips instead of the soggy efforts from most chippies in the area. Massive portions too!

Everything was way too greasy and batter was inedible as it was far too hard. Chip with curry and cheese was awful it was mushy and like slop safe to say £30 worth of food was binned

Food was superb! Chips were best we’ve had in the town. Portions great. Onion rings were a bit overdone but that can be forgiven with how good everything else was.

Twice now we have ordered from here and it's been late. Last time was over 30mins late. The chips were hard (over cooked) which the kids refused to eat so all their food was thrown in the bin. And there was 2 missing sauces with the order. The 1st time was the same with the chips too. So won't be ordering from here again.

Put an order note saying no cheese or onions and it came with cheese all over it I rang and asked for a new one and I was greeted with cheekiness and they told me they would send out the correct order- which I never received

Recently paid a couple of visits (I'd been meaning to for ages) this local "Chippy" beside the Parkgate filling Station just outside Lurgan. Bright and clean, welcoming atmosphere immediately obvious. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Menu presented all the classic old favourites. I went for my own all-time favourite "comfort food" -breast of chicken and chips. From a choice between one or two pieces of chicken, I asked for two pieces and,of course, chips. Got breast and drumstick, with very generous portion of chips. Went back for same again, so haven't tried the rest of the menu yet! The chips were extremely good, tasted very fresh and well drained. The chicken was really tasty and succulent. The prices, in my opinion, were very reasonable. If I can tear myself away from the chicken, I intend to try some of the other old favourites (fish, chips'n'sausages, chips with curry sauce/gravy etc) in the future! I expect they will be just as good. Really recommend this wee place if you're at the garage, passing by or just want a really nice, basic takeaway!

Need to make sure you get your fish freshly cooked for a crispy batter. They do throw ins which is a big plus for me and any pensioner on a budget

Ordered my food..each enough and paid to a pleasant lady.. Unfortunately when I got home one of the burgers I had stated no onions had onions and the onions were only half cooked.Chips were hard and had more tiny hard bits than chips. Definitely won't be back a waste of money..

HORRENDOUS SERVICE & FOOD Unfortunately this place was taken over about 3 months ago & none of the staff who were with the previous owner seem to work there now mores the pity. It used to be run like clockwork & food was lovely but not now. Staff need training on customer service & on how to cook. Been here 3 times 3rd time the last had to throw the chips in bin and with their prices it's diabolical. Kept me waiting for 9 - 10 mins before asking me for my order even though all other customers had ordered. Waited ages for food only for it to be cold & soggy when I got it home less than 5 mins away. Would advise to save your money & find a new chippy. I most certainly am. ndrive

Absolute rip-off merchants running this shop. £4.80 for a fish that wasn’t even cooked fresh. The aftertaste was horrible. Chips were reheated, tasted horrible too. What a waste of money, wont be back.

The importance of this humble chip shop to the local community cannot be understated. It provides unbelievable fish and chips to people from all walks of life. How so? Well, for starters, the portion sizes are so generous that this may as well be a Bible parable. A chip is big enough to feed a family of four for a whole night. A large chip will do one person for a week. Secondly, the quality of the food is unrivalled. The chefs clearly bring a Midas touch to their cooking, as the chips are always golden without fail. Cooked to perfection. The chips are the kind of thing you crave every day. At university, I'm constantly dreaming of coming home at the weekend for a "Parkgate Chip". Thirdly, the value for money is unrivalled in the world of takeaway. I've seen reports that Sphinx Kebab Shop is the best takeaway. This is simply not true. It provides average food that is so expensive you trick yourself into thinking it's nicer than it actually is. That is not the case with Park Avenue. The food is affordable and absolutely exquisite. If anyone is ever passing through Lurgan, make a point to stop at this chip shop. You won't regret it.
