Parbin Tandoori Indian Takeaway in Torfaen

I have been visiting the Parbin for years. I used to deliver for them back in the day but it is far better now. I know the staff well and they are great people and their food is exceptional. The quality of a sit down Indian restaurant from a take away. Consistently superb food !

We have had meals from The Parbin for over 20 years. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the meals are always perfectly cooked and always taste wonderful! Deliveries are always on time and piping hot. We look forward to having from from The Parbin for many years to come.

We have had meals delivered from parbin before. We rang to place an order & got told its cash only on delivery??? I'm guessing they haven't heard of card transactions on a phone. Woman on the line was pretty abrupt. The food is generally OK, perhaps they need to wake up & realise that most transactions are now done electronically. I cancelled the order , certainly won't be bothering again . As I said the food is generally OK but not worth chasing around for cash for it.

5 star every single time..I have never been disappointed in 15 years. A great meal every time.. Wouldn't go anywhere else even though there take aways much nearer to me..But that doesn't matter as they do an excellent delivery service too... Keep up the great work Parbin 👍

Lovely food only down side the onion bajis are always raw in the middle everything else is cooked spot on.

The most amazing madras curry , which I had with half n half , and cooked by the manager who also served me , amazingly nice fella , very polite , very kind , I now order from their a minimum of once a week , as I'm homeless he even delivers to me up the keepers pond in my caravan , which is amazing service that very few take aways will offer that far , I also get a 50p off voucher which you can save or use when needed , the parbin is a very clean take away located just over the road by the pontypool police station ( opposite the market) it also has plenty of parking and disabled access. Thank you Parbin , I really do love your food and service , and appreciate you for treating a homeless women with the same respect as any other customer , it really means alot xxx

We're relatively new to Parbin but we've enjoyed a lot of take aways in the past 6 weeks or so. Nothing is too much trouble, the food is always not just hot but bursting with flavours. Tried a Chicken Tikka Madras (off the menu) last night and it was amazing! They clearly have a passion for the food they serve and we are hooked! Try with confidence all 💯💯💯💯💯💯

I have a particular curry I have come to adore over the years, Chicken Tikka Bhoona, Madras strength. Not a normal menu choice I grant you but when cooked properly it is lush! I ordered one last night from The Parbin and it was by far one thee tastiest I have ever eaten. Compliments to the Chef and his team 👏👏👏👏👏💯

We first discovered this place in lockdown even though it's been around a long time. Now we don't want to go anywhere else! We had friends visiting us on bank holiday Monday. They can't ever find a good curry where they live, so we knew just the place. Best curry they've had in years. So tasty and good quality. Thanks for the great food.

I have been going to Parbins for many many years and this was the 1st time ever that I have not enjoyed my meal, service excellent as usual starters were amazing but the veg curry had no taste very bland and not finished between 4 people, hopefully the next time will be back up to standard and receive a 5*

Been eating from here for over 15 years, amazing food and people. Will even cook your food just how you like it, if you want it hot, just ask, if you want it cooler, just ask... nothing too much trouble for them.

We ordered a delivery meal for my husband's birthday last week. We're vegetarian but plenty of choice. It arrived 30 minutes after ordering as promised. Driver with a facemask on. Delicious food and extra onion bahjees thrown in as a v nice gesture. Will certainly use again.Great to see local businesses adapting so well.

Another Great Meal. Excellent Service I just had a first class take away from the Parbin Tandoori. The meal was delicious, food was delivered to me on time. Service is really good specially Fur who works at the front answering the phones taking orders, he’s very polite, very helpful and very cheerful. I got to say best Indian takeaway in my opinion. This is by far the best Indian takeaway around, the food is consistent. When ordering the same meal at other takeaways the food often tastes different depending what chef cooks it. Service is one of the best around Pontypool as delivery is quick and efficient. Staff are really good and helpful. Parbin we will be back!!!

5 Star Quality and Delivery service was spot on. I was well impressed when I received my meal at the door yesterday evening. Gave Parbin a go for the 1st time and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Struggled to find a takeaway that delivers to New Inn recently with the coronavirus causing issue.Never had one from Parbin before but decided to give it a go looking at the other reviews. Delivery came on time as promised (between 30-45 minutes, ordered around 17:30).Whole family enjoyed it, chicken korma was smooth and had a mild sweetness to it, parents loved the biriyani’s, and there were more onion bahjis than I know what to do with, all crispy and tasty.Driver also very good wearing a mask and gloves, playing it safe in these dangerous times.Would certainly order from them again.

With the Coronavirus going on and a weeks leave we thought we would order in. Both the Vindaloo and madras were spicy. A good level of chicken in and a lovely consistent sauce. Perfect Poppadoms. Cracking mint sauce. Would recommend.

Best Indian in Pontypool/blaenavon.Food is amazingly tasteful and friendly staff aswell.Often pick up as they are so busy and delivery is usually an hour wait.

Parbin is definitely the best Indian I've ever tasted, I would never go anywhere else, I’m really fussy with chicken so I will only eat it from certain places & if it’s cooked nice and every time without fail I eat every bit of chicken on my plate from here that’s how good it is! Also there curry’s are amazing anything you want they meet your needs it’s amazing. All in all the food is AMAZING would highly recommend

Been a regular for a good few years now.Sometimes get delivered but this time stopped by as in Pontypool.Food was ready on time.Friendly guys on phone and In store.50p voucher off your next meal which can be collected and used together is always good for customer retention.Food was piping hot. Poppadoms crispy as they should be and mint sauce gloriously smooth and tasty.Vindaloo was hot hot got with good chicken used.Chips are well above average for an Indian.Would well recommend to those that like a Ruby.

Recently ordered a meal for home delivery. The delivery was on time and only took 45 mins from the point of ordering. The food was delicious, the meat was plentiful. All cooked to perfection. We will certainly be paying you another visit.

However the review’s don’t lie as I was really pleased with the food. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going there more often.

Amazing Saturday night curry. Negative was that very unusually quite oily. Chicken Vindaloo was spicy and the other meals were brill. Well worth a visit.

The Parbin is the best takeaway in Torfaen(Pontypool) by far. What a experience the curries are spot on, from the starters to the main dishes to the side dishes and the popadoms & chutneys it was spot on. The price is good because the portions are very big. The waiter on the phone was very helpful. The service from start to finish was spot on from ordering over the phone to the delivery driver bringing my food. Fast and efficient service.

Me and my family have been going to the Parbin tandoori for few years and got to say they are the best in town. I wouldn’t try anyone else. Parbin service is quick and efficient. The food is quality. The staff are polite and welcoming. Can’t recommend parbin enough. Can’t wait for our next meal. Parbin Tandoori is quite hard to find at 1st as I struggle to find them. They are opposite the police station in Pontypool town centre and up the stairs. They also have a car park behind there shop which is really handy.

Food was absolutely delicious. You can tell the staff here really try hard to maintain high standards of customer service and they are friendly and helpful. I was recommended by a friend as I moved into Pontypool recently. The menu is easy and simple. Price is very reasonable and the portions are so big it’s enough to last for the next day meal to. I have been getting takeaways from the Parbin for over 30 years & the food has always been excellent. Also the staff are very friendly.

Lovely food as always. The young girl who use to work there has been replaced by a older lady. Nice but not a patch on the young lady who use to work the counter. Never have I seen any one so efficient in what must be a difficult job with the language barriers ect. Me and the wife would try something new every visit after the young girl cherry would often advise us in great detail the texture and flavours of the curries. And to be fair she was never wrong. If there was any way you guys could get her back me and my wife would much appreciate it. We are basically buying the same curry over again now and need a new experience.

Excellent service and great tasting food

I can't believe I haven't reviewed them before, I suppose we take some things for granted. My husband some time ago asked for something that they hadn't made before, a garlic and peshwari Naan bread. They said they'd give it a go and it's amazing, we order it all the time. They've always been friendly and polite as are the delivery people. We love havin the tokens, we save them up and have a few meals a year bringing the cost down when we redeem them. Although, being so good they don't do my diet any good!! Keep up the fab work Parbin Tandoori staff.

Been eating here since I was really little my dad always used to take me he still does now and I'm 13 now. Love it food always cooked lovely and service there amazing. Always remember my dad when we go there!

I have an Indian 2-3 times a week from the Parbin the food is top notch, some of my friends tell me to try other Indians because the food is so good so I do try it but they ain’t a patch on the Parbin tandoori

Parbin always blow me away every time I order. Me and my wife had a meal delivered to Goytre. We were told it would arrive in 45mins, 30mins later our meal was delivered. The meal was amazing, 1st of all it was so hot I had to let it cool down for a bit, the portion size are so big I had left overs for the next day for me to take to work. Price is very good. We got charged £3 delivery to goytre but it’s worth every penny as parbin are 5miles away. Keep up the good work Parbin. Thank you again!!!

Have never wrote a review for Parbin which is poor of me as Indian take aways are hit and miss but this Indian is consistent and high quality.

Always friendly never had any problems amazing food

Good quality products always nice and hot when it arrives. Owners are lovely. Pity the young lady that use to work the phones no longer works there she had great communication and could always recommend something nice.
