Simply addictive. Best kebabs in Northern Ireland bar none. Not your typical kebab meat strips, but proper pieces of steak. Papa's sauce is an essential ingredient for your kebab. It's unique to Papa's and is the secret sauce that keeps you going back. Unfortunately I'm not a local, but when in Ballymena and in need of a takeaway this is my only destination. Absolutely scrumptious!!!

I’ve been buying a take away from here for years, but I was disappointed with my order this week. I always get a No 4 (kebab, chips, salad and sauce) but this time, although it was as tasty as normal, the meat was very tough. Not sure I would go back again. Secondly, they are still using polystyrene, non-degradable food containers - surely we are so aware of the environmental impact of theses that they should have sourced an alternative, even if it adds a few pence to the prices.

Has to be 1 of the best kebabs I've had without a doubt. Prices are very reasonable @ only £6.30 for a mix on chips with salad and sauce 👌

I usually love papas not this evening.. just binned half of a chicken fillet burger I knew when I looked at the fillet it was over cooked but had a good attempt it was dry and hard very disappointing the chicken fillet burgers are usually lovely.

Friendly staff and quick service

Always closes early and random timings for shutting early all the time. I know many people unhappy and complain about same issue. Lovely food ..but many wasted trips when they say and should be open and publish inaccurate opening hours. Respect your customers instead of shutting 30 minutes early all the time or closing without notice.

Kebab looks like a kids meal more salad than anything else in it, and only a small handful of tiny rump steak pieces, and the price is extortionate, you can get a lethal kebab in Cookstown for £5.00 @ Apache and you can bearly close the lid on it.

Nicest mixed kabab on rice ive had in a very long time. Would 100% recommend. Great menu. Delicious.

Absolutely & undoubtedly some of the best kebabs about, and my family's favourite kebab place, Never once had a bad meal from here. A number 23 with a side of gravy never failed to make us smile on a cold aul Saturday!!

I was going to go get a kebab, but then I saw the hygiene rating on the door, only 1… it’s the lowest I have ever seen, and the food isn’t bad, the hygiene rating personally just grossed me out, why go here when you could go to other places in the town with better hygiene and they taste pretty much the same, I think this is definitely something they should work on and it would make them even more popular.

These people know use well. Very friendly and they make a mean kabab. The the stuff. Although there is no seating they offer fast service, which reflects thought here popularity. Admittedly I’ve never tried there deliver and haven’t seen an option for it on Justeat or Uber eats, but this may be just on my end.

Love Papa's, my favourite kebab house in the town, with a good selection on the menu. Opening times and days can be a bit sporadic though!

I do love a good Papa’s! Never had a bad meal from here, service is usually very quick (unless they’re very busy of course, bit like anywhere!) and I find the staff are friendly and always seem to get it right. Just watch out for opening times, but a quick check of Facebook just to double check they aren’t closed that evening usually solves any issue like that.

Not the worst kebab I've had but I couldn't taste the food over the house sauce. Asked for a donar kebab and they gave me chunks and near enough a full red cabbage. Not satisfied at all

Absolutely love this place. I travel up from Antrim town just to eat here. Never had a bad meal yet from here. Staff always seem friendly & nice. Love the way you can actually see your food being cooked in front of you too.

Top notch kebabs but they will soon be giving out number 3's in burger boxes the portions are getting sooo small but prices get bigger.

Have been going here for years, and it’s always been good. Very well priced, one of the cheapest in town. Do not be put off by the queues, as they move very quickly. Number 14, chicken, chips and salad. With house sauce of course. The garlic pitta bread is great too, as are the onion rings.

Excellent kebabs as always. Papa's are still the one to beat and I've never had anything close elsewhere, neither in Northern Ireland or abroad. So good they're worth a drive down from Belfast.

You can come in here for a nice garlic chip at a reasonable price for take out. Staff are alright. The only issue is the portions aren't that great for the price your paying. But all in all a good place to get a garlic chip in the evening.

Papas really is the best eating house around, never Ever a bad meal. There can be large queues (thats testament to how good the place is) but ur not long in getting served. Excellent staff. HOWEVER.... the only thing i do not agree with is the portions are not put into the box correctly !! NOTICE !!!! they are filling the shallow end of the carton giving you less food instead of filling the normal deeper end !!! I dont agree with this !!

I bloody love it. Regular Saturday haunt for good food. A tiny bit expensive, but the steak is exquisite, the chicken spicy, the chips delicious, and the gravy thick.

They don't do kebabs, as kebabs are cooked on a spit , they boil the meat in the back out of sight. The meat is of the cheapest poorest quality, it's rubbery . This place is awful

Been eating from papas for years. Always go for the meat, chips and house sauce. Never had a bad meal from papas and the house sauce is out of this world. Highly recommended!

Legendary....this place deserves at least 1 Michelin star. Update: nominating for 2 Michelin stars. The lines alone on a Friday night are worth 1 star.

Ordered the fries with meat and house sauce. The fries and sauce were the only things I could eat the meat was very tough ideal for shoe leather but not for food.

Every time I'm back in Ballymena I make a pilgrimage to Papa's. A No. 3 with house sauce is proof that there is a god.

Always get the kebab meat on chips, but went for the shish (rump steak pieces) on chips instead. Tasted good as always and the house sauce is the nicest kebab sauce I've ever tasted.

As others have said best kebab (and perhaps the first in Ballymena?) take away in the world. The house sauce I believe is a secret recipe, it's outstanding. I've lived in this area most of my life and I've never had a bad meal from here. And it's cheaper than any other kebab shop.

Ah the nicest Kebabs ever. Number 14 always, and very quick service. Eat here quite often and there is no comparison with it and any other kebab shop.

I too have observed that the spit appears to be used less frequently than in previous generations. However, I am reliably informed by a regular that on the weekends the spit is in action to cope with all the Friday night / Saturday night Harryville action. Taste is what counts and this place has consistently produced the world's best #3 for the last quarter century.

First stop for everyone who's left town for a while on their return. Its everyone from Ballymenas things i miss list when they are away. I only have one complaint, i can't get my head around the opening hours, it might just be me but half time when i go there it seems to be closed which is a pity as its an awesome spot to eat

They have stopped cooking the kebabs on an upright spit instead its boiled in a pot in the back out of sight and brought into the front in a dirty yellow bucket, also the portion is very small and the salad is not fresh, just another tatty takeaway that's out to fleece you, you won't get value for your money here .

sido sáquenme comedor ¡Papa's ya que estaba a unos 4! Comenzó en sus nuggets de pollo, pero ahora mi elección es siempre un número 3 con salsa extra de casa! :) mejores kebabs que he tenido y he comimos Kebabs en Muğla y Estambul y yo todavía tarifa Ballymenas ¡Papa's como mejor! :)

We travel the whole way from glengormley, Newtownabbey just for the kebabs!! In our opinion they are the best we have tasted. Glengormley kebabs are rubbish!! Well worth the trip. Ps the chicken burgers look amazing too. Thanks Pappa, Ballymena

This has to be the nicest (in my opinion) takeaway in Ballymena. Even when it opens at 5pm you will find yourself standing in a queue waiting to get in!Service is fast and efficient, and there is always plenty of staff behind the counter to make sure things run smoothly.Mixed kebab on chips is my fave - don't forget the "house sauce"! A must if in Ballymena and you crave fast food!

This place is a great take out, theyre worth all their customers. Their food is perfect in the way tha they make it. I think in Harryville, Ballymena this is the best take out in the villiage.
