Food took over 2 hours to be delivered, when it arrived half of the food was burnt, other half barely warm. Requested a partial refund via just eat and was given £3 back on a £64 order. Given the ingredients probably cost them about £3, they've made a nice little profit

It's was all burnt. I know it's a Saturday but come on. The pizza was burnt. I only ate 3 slices as the rest was horrible. Plus the don't put much of the topping on other than cheese. Like 1 pinapple for 5 slices why not call it just plain cheese at that point. Go somewhere else of you want pizza as they just burn your food

Stingy on the toppings. Far too expensive to be stingy on toppings. Would at a minimum expect topping on each slice of pizza but some was just cheese and tomato. Disappointed. Lost a customer.

Service is awesome and great discount if you take it from store.

Food was great until the cinnapie sticks. We called up as these were bellow standard. We couldn't rip them apart and they were chewy beyond edible. We called the store to be told "we've been doing these for 3-4 months and not had a complaint". Then to be told that's how they are, it's the icing apparently, despite barely having any. If being unable to get them apart and having inedible food is how it's meant to be, we will not be returning.

Absolutely awful. Waited 1 and 1/2 hours for food that arrived like warm, and with a pizza missing. Without wanting to wait hours for a replacement, requested a refund but was told to “call in the morning” but when persisted on the matter, they simply hung up.

Ordered online via the app. Waited an hour & half for delivery, the app was updated as pizza delivered 40 minutes before it arrived. Obviously the food arrived cold and uneatable so have complained online. Tried calling the store numerous times with no answer, so have no way to contact anyone. Avoid this franchise unless this is on only food left on the planet.

3rd time I’ve ordered from them now and on 3 occasions they’ve forgot part of my order, have to wait 2.5 hours for them to deliver the other parts. It’s not acceptable

Firstly the pizza always nice. Moving on we ordered pizza around 10pm and the delivery driver didn't ring the RING door bell incase we had kids. Which we do and they was asleep. Also he was so friendly and super nice man. 👏👏👏👏👏

I ordered online for collection and went out to my car to collect my order, but my car wouldn't start...I didn't know what to do because I'd already placed the order 10mins prior! I called the restaurant and the guy was so helpful and sorted it all out for me so it will be delivered as my car is kaput. Real kindness really gratefully received. Plus their food is always absolutely divine! Very grateful regular customer x

Ordered my pizza on tuesday at 5.57.On the app it said at 6.21 that my order was on its way,great.20 minutes later and my food hadnt turned up and i only live 7 minutes up the road.I rang the shop and the man said if it hasnt turned up in the next 10 minutes to ring him back.It did arrive,exactly 10 minutes later.Now this is why i have got the hump.I asked the driver how comes he was so long when the app said 30 minutes ago that my order was on its way.He said i was his 3 drop in a row,basically he had been to 2 other addresses before mine.My pizzas had to be put into the oven to warm up but my side order was cold to tepid.When i rang the shop to complain, the lady on the phone wasnt much help but said the manager would ring me back.Now this is the bit where i was lied to.ive been in the delivery game a number of years for pizza hut,dominoes..etc. and if there is loads of orders but hardly any drivers you can sometimes have to take 3,4 or 5 orders in 1 go just to get the food to customers.When i said to manager hes driver went to 2 other customers before me he said that wasnt allowed,the driver was wrong.If thats the case why was the manager out doing deliveries we he reckons they wasnt doing multi drops.

I literally only gave these Jokers one star because i can't leave a zero review. Totally unacceptable lack of service. Ordered for an office. waited over an hour. Rang them and got told the driver had waited at my "house" for 25 minutes. I explained that we were an office and the driver never even tried the door and requested redelivery. They stated they wouldn't redeliver. Went mad at them , gave up and put the phone down in the end, so we then ordered from somewhere else, only to find that the driver decided to come back with cold pizza's no one wanted anymore as we had ordered elsewhere. Totally useless.

Completey unacceptable. Ordered from here twice first time took over an hour and pizzas were undercooked. Second time pizzas were 2 HOURS, undercooked and completely wrong. I asked for a works with no jackfruit pepperoni and added pineapple, I got a pizza with ONLY jackfruit pepperoni and pineapple???? That doesn't even make sense?! I will NEVER order from this branch again I'm surprised that this branch is even allowed to operate at this level of appalling service. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

If I was Papa John I would be sacking the branch manager/franchisee. A disgrace to the Papa John's name! The staff at this branch are incapable of cooking the pizzas aswell, took 2 hours to arrive and putting the correct toppings on the pizzas seems to be a task that is too difficult for the workers here.

the pizza itself was okay, but to my dismay while ordering my pizza i was insulted with sarcasm as i asked about the price of the pizza total.

Just awful, of 3 occasions we have ordered there has always been some type of issue. Never resolved just shrugged off by incompetent staff. When any issues are raised with the staff they are unhelpful and very argumentative. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Pizza did not arrive until 45 minutes after it showed it was delivered on their website. When the food was finally delivered, it was cold and the staff were not helpful when I called the shop. I will be trying a different pizza place next time I order.

Ordered two meat free pizzas. Once we started eating a slice of sausage was found on one of the pizzas. We called and a replacement offered. The original was returned as requested and received our fresh order only to tuck in and find chicken 🐓 on the replacement pizza. Having not eaten meat for over 25 years this could of cause severe illness. Returned to store and told “sorry but we are very busy “ I suggest any vegetarians only order from here at off peak times to receive a meat free pizza. If you have any allergies DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE as cross contamination can not be assumed

Our driver and the lady on the phone were both very friendly, the pizza was delicious and arrived hot and in good time. Second time ordering and no complaints, will definitely order again!

Didn't like the first pizza. The guy on the phone brought me a new one which he prepared himself. It was perfect aswell. 4 stars as it's a shame they dont make them like this guy did everytime! There was a hugely noticeable difference between the first & second pizza :)

I think it’s about time you had this review because no pizza company would turn away money because the customer has asked for half and half every other pizza company does it include in the small ones and you do do it but only when you feel like it so we can never plan on having a takeaway from here becauseWe never know what they are going to say we never know what they are going to say. Surely it’s not hard even the supermarkets do it for you while you wait if you ask for half barbecue base half tomato base they do it same as if you asked for half and half with different toppings they do it I will now be ordering from Dominos Pizza because you cannot do a simple thing for your customer I speak for at least eight friends who do not order from you anymore and never will congratulations

Extremely disgusted and disappointed to find a huge hair in one of our pizzas. Should have phoned to complain but after reading other reviews, decided that this would just be a waste of time.

Made an advanced order online , an hour before I needed it and it was half an hour late

Ordered for home delivery for the first time and was greatly impressed with the quality of the pizza and the speed of delivery which was a lot quicker than implied. I would certainly use you again and recommend to family and friends.

Pizza gogo is the one to go to based on my previous home deliveries with these guys. Very expensive if you forget to use any vouchers.

Yet again I wait over an hour for a cold pizza! Twice in a row now! I rejected the pizza this time and asked for a refund but the Manager said he couldn’t do this and was not interested at all. Awful customer service. Papa Johns pride themselves on quality pizza and you pay a premium for that. What’s the point when the pizza is cold?! Order from Dominos instead. They managed to get a pizza to me in 21mins.

Been ordering pizza here a few times, sadly it’s been going downhill for quite some time. I ordered a large cheese and tomato pizza with a bbq base and stuffed crust, well when I received it, no bbq base (had to add my own sauce at home!) for the 4th consecutive time, anaemic looking pizza with awful crust!. Would avoid this place like the plague! If you like papa johns I would recommend ordering from the one in Southend as at least they get your order perfect every SINGLE time!

Normally great service we had house guests and placed a large order on line which never arrived. Made contact by phone and spoke to the Manager and had to book again meaning we were charged again. The Manager insiste that the branch had not received the online order and was as helpful as he could be but couldn't solve the issue of being charged twice for a large order - not cheap! Several days later I checked my credit card bill and could see I'd been charged for botg orders and spoke again to the Manager at the branch. This was frustrating because the phone was ringinh put and not being answered and when it was eventually answered the young man was rude and unhelpful. I got to speak to the Manager again and he again could not help me. He gave me the number of their HQ Customer Sevices. I rang Customer Services, the phone was answered very casually and unprofessionally by a woman. I explained the situation and all she could offer was the excuse that their systems had crashed that evening and I wasn't the only customer affected. A mealy mouthed insincere apology and a promise that I would be refunded. I was amazed and disappointed that Papa John's had made no effort to contact customers to make timely refunds!

Ordered half and half chicken bbq and pepperoni and jalapeno, chicken poppers and bbq chicken wings. No bbq sauce on the pizza or the wings !!!? Could not have a correct order sent out as my son was eating his half and the pizza has to go back to the the shop whole and untouched when they bring the correct order, So waste of money and tasteless pizza and chicken was offered 50% off next order. So hungry and out of pocket. Rubbish service papa johns don't think there will be a next time.

Ordered pizza, chicken wings and potato cheese slices takeaway. Firstly, the potato slices were missing. In fairness the delivery lady returned quite promptly with them. In a way I wish she hadn’t as they were awful. Truly awful, tasted was poor and appearance was atrocious. Ended up in the dogs. Not cooked properly (mixture of over and undercooked) and some of the potato was black! Pizza was ok but will never order from them again.

The first time I ordered from here it was great. Toppings were generous and it was pipping hot and was delivered in about 35 minutes! I ordered the 2nd time tonight, and was I disappointed. I am not asking for much, just basically it to hot and to be delivered in good time. After 55 minutes, I called up to ask how much longer, and I was told in another 10 minutes. When it came, it was lukewarm so on goes my oven! I had to re-heat it. The extra cheese that I paid for wasn't evident. Okay, I was on the 50% of deal, so it made it less painful, however, if they cannot fulfill promotions if they haven't got the staff, then they shouldn't promote it. The reason I chose this brand rather than my local major big competitor in my area is because they are bad, but Papa Johns is definitely on the same par unfortunately. I think I have to be really desperate for pizza before I order from here again. The person who was manning the phone need some training on the phone.

Saturday evening and we decided on pizza. Ordered three and they were delivered promptly, hot and fresh. Friendly service and delivery driver.

Ordered not for the first time waited an hour and tracked order said it had been delivered so phoned store in rayleigh and was told it was nearly there waited 15 mins and then phoned again was told it was the apps fault when they arrived albeit a few minutes after second phone call they had forgotten the extra dips I ordered and paid for then had to ring again twice to remind them. All in all they are pretty useless and the wedges were soggy and cold

First off, food arrived 35 mins after time given. Food ok but not particularly hot, something which bugs me a lot. Family woke next morning, four of the five who are were suffering stomach pains and frequent trips to the loo. Phoned the manager, he couldn’t have been less interested and basically accused me of lying. Will be taking this further.

This was my first time using Papa John's. Built our own on line. Thought it was very nice, moist and fresh. Enjoyed it.

Ordered 3 pizzas last night at 7.50pm.Got confirmation e mail at 8pm but no delivery time. By 8.50 we was all hungry & there was no sign of a pizza! We phoned the shop & they said it had just left. It's only a 10 minute drive away. The delivery guy turned up about 9.20 with no apologies or excuses! Won't bother next time

Pizza is not my first choice but when I have shared one with the family is was good. Sorry, I cannot rave about a pizza.

The Rayleigh outlet turns off when you get to the payment option when they get too many orders. Awful customer service. Good pizzas. Shame

Best pizza takeaway out there as far as chains go, can't beat it. Anyone that thinks dominos or Pizza Hut is better pizza needs their head examined. This is the real deal and dare I say it actually worth the extortionate prices you come to expect with a pizza takeaway. Tastes fresh, looks appetising, good amount of toppings and the chicken starters are amazing. Love the papas!

Papa Johns is the best Pizza place. The toppings are so tasty and we love the Garlic butter dip that comes with the pizzas. Have never had a bad or cold pizza from papa Johns Rayleigh. It's even better since they joined Tastecard and we can get 241. Perfect!

Use our tastecard to order pizza to get 241 deal. Good pizza and delivered quickly. Online site was easy to use but had some technical problems when trying to pay so was slow. Would be good to offer online offers over phone too!
