Pantri in Swansea

Myself and 5 friends enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea at Pantri on a sunny Friday afternoon, a great way to start the weekend . Catrin and her staff are lovely so friendly and welcoming , nothing was too much trouble . As much tea and coffee as you want , a great selection of sandwiches, delicious cakes and scones all home made . I would not hesitate to recommend Pantri for lunch , afternoon tea or simply a coffee and cake . Thanks again we will definitely be back .

Absolutely beautiful, I visit the pantri regularly, from my first visit to my recent visit I am always welcomed by the most friendliest welcome. The staff are always polite and friendly, the owner is amazing and will do whatever she can to give you the best service and the food speaks for itself! Everything is homemade, made on site and wow it is just divine! If you get a chance pop in, you will not be disappointed!

I had lunch here with my daughter and granddaughter and had a lunch of coffee, chicken roll and delicious cake. I could not fault the standard as on previous occasions and we all had more than enough. The owner and staff are very friendly and all was very Covid secure.

Booked for my wife's birthday for afternoon tea with four of us. Such a superb visit! Smiles and lovely greetings and a selection of sandwiches, savouries and cake which had been specially made gluten free for my wife whilst the rest of us devoured the non-gluten free delights. My wife is ecstatic that we found somewhere so close and so fabulous. Catrin is like an angel who remembers names and special requirements and is on hand making sure everyone in her Pantri are being looked after. The afternoon teas are very special and an unbelievably tasty indulgence, so we are going back for the pre-Christmas treat too. Thanks to Catrin and all of her staff for running such a welcoming place.

Excellent coffee shop. The food is homemade. Cheese on toast is as I remember when I was a child! Scones! Yummy! The owner encourages Welsh learners to speak Welsh to her and some of her staff. (I'm a learner) Tasty coffee too. A lovely place to meet friends!

I took my mother in law and her friend for afternoon tea at the Pantri after it had been recommended to me.The staff were very friendly and the cafe was light and beautifully decorated. All the food was freshly made, delicious, and plenty of it. So much so, that none of us could finish it. The surplus was wrapped up for us to take home. At £15 per person this was very good value for money and I would definitely go there again.

The 'Pantri' is a fantastic place to visit if you fancy a coffee and/or a snack. The cheese on toast is, unquestionably, the best I've ever tasted! The home-made scones were superb, with plenty of jam and clotted cream to spread thickly on top! So clean and homely as well. Staff are always so welcoming, friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10. Cwbl wych!

Love Pantri! Food is really nice and all homemade. Good service and spotlessly clean. Prices are reasonable but value for money.

Visited with my sister and nephew. Although a small downstairs area, we were impressed with how open and airy the room was. The tables were arranged in a manner that provided comfort and plenty of space between them. The lady who served us was friendly and pleasant. We ordered coffee,(with syrup), hot chocolate, (with cream and crushed Maltesers),cake, (which was homemade and wonderful),and a sandwich for my nephew. We enjoyed them so much we ordered a 2nd coffee. It was 2.20pm, and they closed at 2.30pm but the lady was more than willing to serve us and for us to remain until we were ready to leave. My sister and I are often on the look out for a new place to drink coffee, eat cake, and sit and chat, but this is one place we will definitely re-visit many, many times. Highly recommended.

Visited today for lunch. Fantastic baguettes and cakes. Plenty of choice and all home cooked food. We will definitely visit again.

First visit for myself and my friend. We are a fussy pair but I’ve got to admit we had a great lunch. £6 + for a filled baguette but boy was it filled! Excellent service from staff. 5 ***** food hygiene and all food is prepared fresh and in sight. We will definitely be returning soon and recommend to others.

Visited today with a friend. We had an absolutely delicious afternoon tea. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. I can’t recommend enough. The cafe’s new location is lovely! It’s tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. It’s well worth a visit, there was a constant stream of customers which is a recommendation in itself.

I visited Pantri’s new premises today, and was thrilled to enter the lovely bright new cafe on Vardre Road. There’s lots more space, with seating upstairs as well, but the quality of both coffee and cakes remains high. I’ll be back!

Finding the Pantri might mean a bit of determination if you’ve not visited before, but rest assured your endeavour will be richly rewarded.

I last reviewed this place three years ago. It was superb then and is still the same now. All Catrin's stuff is prepared and baked there. Cakes, sweets, sandwiches coffees and teas. And quiche to die for. The place is moving to new premises soon, August is on the cards, and I am looking forward to seeing Catrin run her new bigger premises. The coffee is very, very good. And I am exceptionally picky about my coffee.

Pantri is nestled in a garage forecourt away from the main street, but if you're in the vicinity of Clydach don't overlook it. With simply wonderful home-made bread, cakes, quiches and sandwiches, it's one of the best places to eat for miles.

Husband daughter and I had the quiche yum yum best ever. Service warm and friendly my husband also had white chocolate and raspberry sponge.

I visited for morning coffee with my mum and teenage son - she lives in Clydach but hadn't been to Pantri before. It was lovely! A tiny place - just a few tables - and SO warm and welcoming! My flat white was great (and I'm a coffee snob!) and mum and I had fresh, still-warm scones: delicious! Son had amazing chocolate cake (just baked too) and hot chocolate.

Pantries is exceptionally good because everything is homemade. It's a great place to meet up with friends for coffee and treats. There's plenty of parking close to Clydach.

Great little place with home made cakes and lovely coffee. Small and quaint this local shop has plenty of parking in a residential area, close to a park- just the thing after a walk!

He estado en bastantes veces Pantri y nunca me ha decepcionado. La tostada es hermoso, las tartas son deliciosos y el café es simplemente perfecto!

The Pantri is an amazing find. We were given such a warm welcome and the coffee and cakes were so delicious. The scones were the best I have ever eaten. So crumbly and just like my Nan used to bake. Lunch was excellent too. The chicken and stuffing baguette was really tasty. Flat white was one of the best. If you ever get to Clydach, you must call in and meet the lovely people who work there. The lady who makes the cakes is so talented! We will definitely return if and when we are in the area. Actually, we will probably make a detour for a real treat. Trust me there are not many coffee shops that produce home baked food of this standard.

Amazing toast!! Home made bread and a good serving of marmalade and butter - just what I wanted in the morning. Lovely coffee also, boiling hot in a good sized cup. Very good value for money and a very friendly welcome. Thank you!!

Don't know about you, but I don't get cup cakes! All that iced cream that everyone scrapes off. What's wrong with a the British "fairy cake" ?Well nothing if you visit the Pantri as they make the most amazing, old fashioned, but so scrum my you don't throw away the cream "fairy cakes". Not only fairy cakes but the ultimate test of any truly good baker the Victoria sponge sandwich....The owner offers gluten free options and a good choice of them, including sandwiches, soup and more than the boring " gluten free chocolate brownie that all gluten intolerant people must be sick to death of!!!!!Good selection of home made quiche. Visited the cafe for a quick lunch today. It was absolutely delicious!! Homemade focaccia filled with homemade pesto and slices of halloumi. The bread was the lightest I've ever tasted. A crunchy crust topped with tomatoes. Perfection!!! The chocolate cake was light and delicious.

Have just come back from yet another gorgeous lunch at Pantri - today it was ham, cheddar cheese and red pepper marmalade in a homemade crusty roll- all served warm straight from the oven with a lovely little side salad - highly recommended! Catrin was as usual her friendly attentive self who tempted me with her delicious homemade White Chocolate Sponge with strawberries but I just about managed to resist ;-) I have also bought several gift vouchers for friends and they have all thoroughly enjoyed too - a little gem in Clydach

I am very lucky because Pantri is only a few hundred yards from my house. I visit regularly with family and friends - sometimes for lunch, sometimes for tea and cake. The food is all home made and we have never been disappointed. The menu varies from day to day with different quiches, soups and cakes.This is a small, family run establishment and you are guaranteed a friendly welcome.Catrin even helps us practise our Welsh!I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Beautiful Butternut squash and pine nut quiche that melted in the mouth, with homemade bread. I'm Vegetarian and really appreciated seeing a good mix of Vegetarian options. Couldn't resist the cakes, too tempting. Shared the last slice of Lemon Curd sponge, and the chocolate brownie and found them to be as delicious as they looked. Catrin was very friendly and welcoming....our first but not last visit.

Pantri supplied a selection of large cakes at our wedding. They were absolutely delicious, beautifully decorated and highly commended! The lunches at the cafe do not disappoint either!

Very friendly staff, good coffee and wonderful atmosphere. Also, a good selection of greeting cards and gifts. A small coffee shop but full of charm. Highly recommended.

Well worth a visit. Delicious homemade cakes, bread, soups and quiches. There is a limited choice...in my opinion always a good sign as everything is fresh! This is a tiny cafe with an open kitchen. The staff are always friendly. The cafe is always spotlessly clean. Takeaways are also available. I can't recommend enough.

The lunches at Pantri really are fantastic, there are not many places locally where your sandwich or homemade soup are served with delicious homemade bread. I am not a fan of quiche but Catrin's quiche can't be put in the same category as any of the others I have ever tasted. They are delicious. Pantri really is a fantastic place for lunch with very friendly service!

I wanted to try out the Pantry on my visit back to Wales, I was pleasantly thrilled that Clydach had such a friendly place to go for mouthwatering desserts. Great service by friendly staff. We've ordered several home made buffets and lots of sweet treats from Pantri over the years. Never fails to satisfy. Also, a great place to catch up with friends over a cuppa and cake....cakes sooo yummy (especially the carrot cake) that we've asked Pantri to make a selection of cakes for our wedding!

I have been to this gorgeous little place a few times and each time it's been a positive experience. Catrin and all the staff are friendly. They can't do enough for you!! The cakes are melt in the mouth and all equally delicious,which makes it very difficult to choose a favourite!! Also tried the soup and focaccia bread.........amazing!!! It's the perfect place for a girly gathering for coffee and a catch up! Well worth a visit!

Our family called for a sweet treat and we were certainly not disappointed!!! We had a lovely welcome from everyone working there and thoroughly enjoyed our raspberry sponges and scones!!! The cakes were moist and freshly made that day. The smell of more goodies being cooked tantalised our senses as we ate. Have told everyone how to get to this lovely place as it truly is a hidden gem nit ti be missed!! Will be returning soon.

I made my first visit to the Pantri this week following a recommendation from some friends. The welcome you get is very friendly and it's a great place to relax over a coffee and a tasty homemade cake. The Millionaire short bread is to die for.Looking forward to my next visit and will be recommending the Pantri to others..

I find this place very Friendly, but sadly i think the cakes are very dry and extremely over priced, i have bought cakes on three occasions and won't be going back. They really need to brush up on selling dry sponge cakes and reduce the prices.

I've called in for coffee a couple of times when my car was being fixed at the garage next door. The quiche here is absolutely amazing, how Catrin gets that much taste in to a quiche beats me. I don't do cake but I have watched her construct them and they look amazing. Going by other contributors they taste as good as they look. I think everything that is on sale is baked on the premises. She is an amazing chef.

If you're after some delicious home made cake and a cup of good coffee all washed down with lots of smiles and great service then look no further.A small cafe tucked away in the village - not really the sort of place you'd happen upon but well worth hunting out.Be prepared to indulge - not for calorie counters

Birthday visit by 6 friends weekday lunchtime - lovely warm welcome, gorgeous roast vegetable quiche and bread ( all freshly baked) and delicious selection of cakes. A thoroughly enjoyable visit.

looking for somewhere new to meet up with a friend for a simple lunch we came across Pantri in Clydach. A small cafe with BIG aspirations. Only 5 tables and we were lucky to have the last available. My friend had a lovely couscous salad with Feta and I chose a goat's cheese and red pepper marmalade roll. Wow! Then apple pie with cream for my friend and a coconut and raspberry cake for me. Lovely! Even the coffee was excellent. Catrin, the owner, and her staff were friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

What a delight it was to find such wonderful food tucked away in the middle of Clydach. My wife enjoyed a coconut raspberry cake while I had this delicious almond croissant filled with different jams. Really delicious. Will we be back... you bet.

Catrin's freshly baked cakes, tasty savouries and delicious coffee have become a firm favourite and we find ourselves planning our route home to enable us to call in. An asset to the area.

My favourite place to go for cake and coffee! In fact, I'm unable to enjoy a latte anywhere else anymore as they all taste bitter in comparison to Pantri's Welsh coffee!It's so refreshing to go to a cafe where everything is made fresh on site! Always tough to choose from all the delicious cakes and savoury goods. I usually end up taking something away for later as well!Friendly, polite, genuine service. Reasonable prices.

An unusual location to have a cafe/bakery, however when I visited with my friend, the place was full of people enjoying their food/drink and the place had a lovely feel about it.I had a delicious soup for lunch which was served with a freshly baked foccaccia. My friend had a ciabatta sandwich and it was very big and very tasty. Service is excellent too! :-)I was too full to buy a cake but my friend bought a carrot cupcake and the frosting on the top was so good.I would definitely go back again to sample other foods on the menu and to buy some cakes! Yum!

Bread and cakes freshly made and baked to order.All breads are handmade from traditional loaves to continental style breads.Delicious raspberry and coconut gateau and chocolate cake to die for. Linger over a cappuccino in the cute little French bistro style seating area. Also available catering for small private functions,favours for weddings, celebration cakes for birthdays and christenings. Friendly, cheerful and cosy atmosphere, reminiscent of traditional French boulangeries. Deserving of every success.
