We visited Legoland and Windsor Castle for my daughter’s 7th. it was my wife, son and daughter. My daughter loves Indian food and being Punjabi we are very fussy. I came across Panjab Restaurant. I read the reviews and looked at the pictures and decided to book it. I must say this place did not disappoint the atmosphere, food, service, and staff were all 5*. If anyone is traveling or in the area I highly recommend this place. I’ll be going to Windsor again in the summer and definitely visiting again. The owner was so friendly and even organised a cake and ice cream to be brought out which made my daughters evening. Well done team so good to see Punjabi restrains operating at such a high level. Visited on Thursday 23/02/24.

Last Saturday i went to panjab restaurant to celebrate my birthday party and because of the food and service of the panjab restaurant which was so great and tasty food it really made my birthday soo special . thanks to panjab

Finally we found a good place for dine out . Staff are very friendly and open kitchen you can see live cooking there . Definitely we will recommend to everyone .

One of the worst restaurants ever. To top it off you order coke you get it in a jug . The Coca Cola it’s from 1.5ml coke bottle.

Really not happy. Order from here all the time. Naans arrived stone cold and without garlic, ordered an onion salad and an onion chopped in half once was put in a tub. The dishes were nice but as I was getting stuck in a long thin brown hair came out - Delivery orders should not be neglected this way, unacceptable.

Cheap but not cheerful. Average food, good service. Bathroom buzzing with mosquitoes!

Lovely clean restaurant, friendly and efficient staff, great food, lovely ambiance. First time we had visited, and we will definitely return to try some of the other options on the menu. Really great evening with friends!!

Placed a delivery order here, took 1.5hrs to turn when advised it would only be “30-40mins”. When the food arrived, the packaging was absolutely demolished, everything was turned upside down! Look at the photos, dishes all split out into the bag. The Dishes themselves, did not taste right. The photos of the Lamb Rogan Josh just shows the amount of Oil in the dish, it was appalling! The Lamb seemed strange from the offset, shredded and scraps type of meat! No surprise of the outcome - My entire family including poor kids all experience intense food poisoning, ill for a good week! When flagged to the restaurant through constant calls and even turning up to the Restaurant, they were dismissive from the get go. The did not want to acknowledge or admit to any wrong doing. One of the staff told me that “It’s not their fault my body can’t take the amount of oil and poorly prepared food, my body needs fixing!” The cheek! I wouldn’t advise or recommend this place to anyone, not only because of the food, but the shear arrogance and atrocious customer service provided. I’d never eat here again, if the restaurant doesn’t want to listen - let’s see what Food Standards Agency has to say about it!

This is one of our favourite restaurants and has now become a strong favourite with our family when they come to visit us too. The atmosphere is really calm, service is excellent and always with a smile. It’s a very comfortable setting whether you are a couple or have a larger booking. The staff were so attentive and willing to help with advice recommendations, and choices. Food was presented so well, with different dips and chutneys. We arrived for my fathers birthday who was visiting us in London, he really enjoyed the food and also stated it was the best food he had and wasn’t as good as the one he visited where he lives. At the end of the evening they presented him with a lovely desert and sparkler, and even played a birthday song for him, it was the loveliest final touch to a wonderful evening. Parking can be a problem but if you wait a few mins spaces become available. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you to all the Staff at Punjab Slough today and making my dads birthday special.

Great venue , booked for an engagement party, offered excellent price for block booking whole restaurant. Pam the manager is great and ensured all our needs were fully met. On the night the staff were super attentive and ensured that the guests were kept happy. Food was spot on and complimented on by the guests. "All in all" a total success. Came here 5yrs ago and it was great and pleased to say it’s ’s still as good. Food is great, Lamb chops are lovely, staff are great.

We went for dinner with family as it was recommended to us. Wow what an experience. Pam, the owner took very good care of us and even made of the menu dishes. Every dish we had was just tantalising delicious…..from the chaats, kebabs to the main course. Will definitely visit again. Thank you Pam from the Chilly family

Unfortunately this time was quite disappointing and am only posting this review as I would like other diners to be aware of what happened to us and it’s best to be safe than sorry. We were served stale chicken tandoori!!!!!!! Yes…. STALE They did prepare the same from scratch for us upon request however as a business owner myself I would never be serving something that appalling thinking we could get away with it. So please do check for the freshness of the produce served on your plate! We did pay our entire bill, no questions asked and did ask for our dish to be prepared fresh in return!! Bill attached! PS: The lady serving us was extremely courteous and understood the minute we placed the complaint we knew our food

We had a lovely meal as a group of 8 on Saturday evening! We ordered lots of the starters and shared - our favourites were the aloo tikki chaat, samosa chaat and masala fries! Lots of vegetarian choice. The food is spicy so be aware if you can’t handle spice. I had the chocolate samosa for dessert but it’s quite dark chocolate so personally wasn’t a fan. Overall lovely evening celebrating my cousins birthday and will definitely be returning!

Very smart restaurant to dine in, the staff were attentive and could give you recomendations on what to order due to taste. The food was amazing, plentyful and fresh. Everything was cooked and served as it was ready. Food had the fresh home made taste. This will be our new place to eat now.

Take away ordered from here. One item was missing. On entry you would expect to be greeted with a smile in a normal establishment... don't expect one here. Papdi chaat is tasty though.

Really lovely restaurant. The manager wasn’t engaging and didn’t acknowledge us,eventhough she looked at us. . Maybe she was just pre occupied.Can’t fault their food or service. The music caters for their culture. I suppose it’s part of the experience. My favourite was most definitely the calamari. It was chewy but the flavours blended so perfectly; I didn’t mind the chewiness. We were literally shooed out the door even though we left a 20% tip. That being, said we were informed beforehand the table was booked for 2 hours. I can’t really complain.

Oh my gosh, best Calamari, best prawns , we had the premium mixed grill with the prawns, Never have I ever!!!! We live in Cornwall and thought we would try this restaurant as we were in London on business; highly recommend!!!

Just one thing. The restaurant is very cold. Lovely food, great service, but it is sub zero outside and breezy. The front door needs to be closed and kept closed.

Food is top notch, no doubt at all. Ordered a lot and every dish was superb. Only gripe from me is I don’t drink alcohol and the soft drinks are from cartons (fair) and the coke from large bottles. Minor gripe that won’t stop me returning of course as this food is the best in the area.

A true gem of a restaurant! I discovered this last year with some friends who were transiting via Heathrow. It was wonderful. I visited again under similar circumstances- it’s still wonderful- fabulous food, friendly service. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The menu is phenomenal and the food is beautifully cooked with wonderful flavours. It is undoubtedly some of the best Indian food I have ever tasted. The service is excellent and never hurried. The staff really do their utmost to ensure that you enjoy your meal. I have been to this restaurant on several occasions and will continue to go back there.

Food quality is usually very good hence worth the long drive in our case. However 2 observations from yesterday: 1. Lamb chops were over cooked & oilier compared to previous occasions 2. Papdi Chaat was tasty but served cold from the fridge 😟

Thank you to Panjab for making our anniversary meal so special! We have often eaten at this local restaurant and the food is always superb. I particularly love the tandoori salad and amritsar fish, both dishes I have never seen in other restaurants. When booking I mentioned we were coming to celebrate our anniversary and the lovely owner made a fuss of us, and surprised us with a delicious sparkling dessert! Can’t wait to return!

Arrived and looked closed had to call restaurant. Only customers and found hair in food. AC was on so was freezing asked to turn off or put down was told they could not. We were the only customers and they were eager to get rid of us. Never going there again.

Walked into the restaurant and was surprised with the quality and taste of grill and curry . Tandoori Chicken and dal makhni just reminds you of a typical dhaba food of Punjab with authentic taste. Highly recommended

The food was delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive and gave recommendations on dishes to try. The fish starter was absolutely delicious. Initially started very well with a warm welcome, quick drinks service and a nice selection of starters. However service afterwards went downhill. Starters took ages to be cleared and it also took a long time for the restaurant to take the main course order. When the main course arrived several dishes were missing and despite a couple of prompts they took a long time for a couple of the diners. All the while we had empty drinks and additional drinks orders were missed. Considering restaurants make the most marginal drinks, this place is missing out on maximising its profits. Also noticed that other tables were always looking around for service which was reactive rather than proactive. Main courses were not a patch on the starters. The lamb Rogan Josh which was meant to be tomatoey had very little tomato in it.

This is the first time we been here. The food is awesome. Quality and quantity both. Interior is really cool too. It’s small and cozy restaurant. It’s not even pricey. If you are looking for authentic Punjabi food then must visit this place.

went to this restaurant to have cooked food not frozen, expected to have decent Punjabi style cooked food. Samosa were frozen cofresh samosas which we get from a supermarket Same with Alloo tiki chaat Chili Paneer - Slices of paneer covered with sweet chili sauce and boiled pepper and onion Zeera Rice was full with zeera, it was like rice in zeera not zeera in rice Paid £53 all together for very poor food. Service was good and no issues with the venue, ambient etc however food was very poor.

Found Panjab by chance on Google maps, we were staying in the area to visit attractions. Booked a table for 4 on the restaurants web site app. So glad we did, great service, lovely atmosphere and food was amazing. Had a mixed tandoori meat and fish starter which was prepared fresh and very tasty. Lamb in the Rogan Josh melted in your mouth. Did kid friendly spiced food too, our kids love curry, naan and milkshakes so we’re very happy. You can have any of the curries to your choice of heat, but it’s North Indian food so standard is medium to hot unless you ask. It was also our wedding anniversary and they made a lovely Indian dessert with sparkler for afters…. and embarrassing love song!. Wonderful food and a very reasonable price. If we come back to slough we will be booking again.

First visit for some time to Panjab. Not as good as previous visits. Music very loud to start with. Food excellent but both meat dishes were very hot, which was not indicated on the menu. Sink in ladies toilet was blocked and full of dirty water. Not nice. We were left for 25 minutes with dirty plates in front of us when we wanted to pay and leave and couldn't attract a member of staff. It took a very long time for our leftover food to be packed up for takeaway and we had to ask for the bill twice. Such a shame as this is a nice restaurant with good food.

Great place to eat authentic food. Please do not expect a restaurant that has dumbed down its recipes to cater for the western pallet All dishes are full flavoured and beautifully cooked. Not all the dishes are hot by any means but If the menu warns that the dish is spicy, it really is. This is a busy friendly restaurant with excellent food and great service. Do try the Indian Sauv blanc

First time for our party of 7 (comprising of 4 adults and 3 children ranging from 10 to 13 years old) at the Panjab. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The menu is definitely North Indian which is hard to find, and it’s incredibly difficult to find one that is good. This was great - from the amazing starters (chilli chicken is to die for) to the fabulous thariwali chicken, and great sides. We ordered enough to feed 70 rather than 7, and the restaurant was kind enough to pack what we couldn’t eat. Highly recommended, you’ll do well to find a better meal this side of Jalandhar.
