The restaurant owner is absolutely rude. What a terrible customer service. She started shouting and insulting us just because we complained about her attitude and customer service over the phone!! Her staff were even worse, never seen such disrespectful behaviour towards customers like that before.

Ordered Nkwobi and almost lost my teeth trying to chew as it was as hard as nails. Complained to the woman owner and she brushed it off and had a silly look on her face wondering why I was not happy. Will not recommend.

This is the second time ive recieve the asorted meat is so undercooked and really hard to eat Ive had to bin it again! Its overly spicy so theres really no flavour to the food just spice. And you get just two pieces of meat one which is uneatable so its really just one beef. For £14 not great at all

This is a very useless experience. I ordered afang soup and pounded yam. My pounded yam waist added at all despite waiting over an hr. This is not a mistake as I have had similar issues before in an old order and I didn't complain. What do I do with the soup now, drink it? I'm so angry and disappointed.

Egusi was so watery no flavour you can tell water was just added I won’t be buying from this place again

The food is great and fairly priced. It gives a "home away from home" feeling.

My friends and I had a lovely Friday evening get-together, on the night. The DJ was inspiring, the food was sumptuous, and the ambience was very welcoming. I will definitely be attending the next Friday night get-together on the last Friday in June.

The egusi was burnt. It smelt and tasted burnt. I called the restaurant to let them know and the woman was rude she said nothing is wrong with the food. She scream over the phone adamant her food is ok. Poor customer care

Called the restaurant after several attempts and a rude guy shouted at me saying that the delivery guy would be with me shortly after 10pm. He finally arrived after a further 33 mins at almost 11pm. The restaurant guy Tod me I was not the only one waiting for a delivery as they were busy. I asked for an apology but he rudely told me I should be patient. Second time I’ve ordered from this palace cafe and second time they have been way over an hour late in collecting and delivering. Food not that great so that’s it for me.

My wife called and the staff were very rude. When asking how much longer the food would be as it was due to arrive between 21:40 and 22:00 and the time was almost 11 and the Just Eat update said it was 'Delivered', she was told , he said he didn't know for everything and that 'there is no Just Eat food there, It has all left dih building'. When she said how long do I wait before I cancel my order, she was told to stop asking the same question over and over. She was told she should be happy that her food has left, because at least it is not still being cooked. Really poor customer service, very rude, sarcastic and he really should NOT be in a customer-facing role and they should not think it's ok to send food an hour late and not give a sincere apology.

This is the best jollof I’ve ever had.. the palace cafe never disappoints. It’s really hard to find good west African food.. I come here when I want to 100% sure that I will get a good meal

The issue with my order was that I waited from 7:51 to 22:20 for the order not to come. Spoke with the restaurant 3 times who reassured me the order is on its way and the driver was coming. Called a 4th time and they said they were not alerted about the order by just eat and that they would start making it now. They did not apologise that I was waiting over 2 and a half hours and I had to call to find out where the food was. When I brought up the fact of apologising and taking away the delivery fee they apologised but said no to the fee waiver and I then asked them to cancel my order. They said they cannot cancel that I have to. I said well that I am being asked to review the food and rate them so cannot cancel. They told me to call just eat. I asked for their number because it wasn't possible. Then they then said they would cancel it on their side. I received a notification of the cancellation, but the reason was the driver could not find my address. Really disappointing. I even fell asleep twice waiting for this order. 0 for customer service. Not impressed

If you are looking for good African foods like Nigerian and Ghanaian foods that's the place for you, Very good and it makes you have that homely feelings. but it's expensive.

The rice was the sticky bottom part, the ayamase was tasteless and I literally bin the edikang ikong soup... wasted £36.50

The fish burger was like an over cooked fish finger with too much breadcrumbs and very little fish The chips were a bit floppy The delivery driver was over half an hour early Having book a time slot on line and planning the meal for the delivery time Ment my son had to reheat his burger as he did not get home from work until just before the booked delivery time. The food is not good value spending over £30 before the discount I expected better.

The food was terrible, the okra soup was very watery and there was barely any okra on it and it had some red sauce or ketchup or tomatoes at the top of the okra soup. It was my first time ordering and I don’t think I’ll ever do so again, I was extremely disappointed as I was looking to eat some okra soup and pounded yam, let’s not even start on the suya hmm disappointing aswell.

They did not fulfil my order, and would not answer the phone. Just took my money and marked this as delivered. Avoid this takeaway!

stop offering deliveries if you dont have delivery drivers have ordered food so many times and i get them 2 and half hours after the order is made and am very angry today because everyone i ordered food for has gone to sleep waiting over 2 hours for the food. you cant charge 4 quid extra for delivery and give such a terrible service. i love the food but delivery service is beyond terrible sorry for bad review but you need to fix this i will never order delivery again from here if i cant collect id rather just find somewhere else

I called the restaurant about my late order, the person who answered the phone couldn't even apologise. Delivery driver was apologic due to late delivery but its wasn't his fault. I waited nearly 2.5 hours for this food to come. I want to support my community but when you run your business like this your gonna run your customers out. The food was good but I didn't even enjoy it because I was so vex. Please try and do better next time

I don't understand how an order I did not receive has been delivered. Delivered to who? I have requested since 10pm yesterday 10th July that this order be cancelled as Palace Cafe is unable to complete my order. Whoever is in charge should do the needful and refund my money in full.

I’m a vegetarian and I placed an order for egusi without meat not only did I find meet in food , the price was ridiculous for egusi without meat . I ordered food for myself and partner and they gave me two egusi with one jellof and plantains. Considering palace is not far from where I live they charge me £3 for delivery and not even Uber eats cost that much for Nn1 area ! It put me off my food and I waste my money .

I ordered the food about 19:30 and the food was delivered about 22:00. I even rang the restaurant and the staff was casual about my complaint
