Fantastic Thai meal this evening. Beef massaman was wonderfully tender, service was friendly and efficient. Price was really reasonable We were in and out within an hour. Will pop in again next time we are in the neighbourhood. Recommend 👍

To charge for Soya Sauce is crazy.This is take away add on restaurant .The service is non existent and you are more recognisable with a online number at the window. No “hello”..No..”good bye “. Avoid this restaurant the service is non existent.The food is under average.I will never visit here again. AVOID!AVOID

Starters and drinks came out fast main course was average lacked in flavour drinks quite expensive also tables quite close so quite noisy

Friday evening 7:30 reservation, eating in. Starters were great - satay chicken, papaya salad & battered French fries (my particular favourite). The 2 mains changed all that: I ordered the Beef Massamun and my friend ordered the Thai Green curry with Chicken - both of which were marked “Chef Recommended”. My Massamun beef was tough as old boots with barely half a potato and maybe a espresso cup of sauce. My friend’s Green curry was so sweet, even the chef remarked how sweet it was when they tasted it. Also, both were warm when we got them first time and we had to send them both back THREE times before I saw any temperature difference. The manager did comp my friends curry but I just left mine as a waste of time & money. My worry is that if these 2 below par and pretty indifferently-made dishes - which should be to a tried & tested recipe - are “recommended”, then what the flip are the other dishes on the menu like? I won’t be back to find out.

Amazing food and really lovely staff! Absolutely hands down the best prawn toast I've ever tasted... the salt & pepper squid is simply delicious. The crispy duck was superb! A must if you like Thai and Chinese food. Looking forward to the next time we visit this little gem.

Visited here on a Sunday evening when the place was half full. The restaurant itself looks good and has a nice ambience. The staff are pretty slow in here, took a while for them to come for our order. We ordered the mix starters, which was delicious and enough for two people. We ordered our drinks, 2 of the same, however only one came and had to reorder a second. For the main course we ordered Pad Thai, which I found to be sickly sweet, so I asked for some chilli sauce to balance it out and got about a tablespoons worth in a tiny dipping plate which was fine (until the bill came). After the meals were cleared from the table, we asked for a takeaway container for one of the meals which they gave us and asked if we wanted to look at the dessert menu, to which we said yes, however that never came so we asked for the bill. Here is where this place left a bad taste in my mouth, on the bill they had charged us for the container, which I can overlook, however they charged me £0.45 for the tablespoon worth of chilli sauce. I think that is incredibly stingy considering it's a Thai restaurant and these types of condiments should be pretty standard. Places that nickel-and-dime you aren't worth a second visit in my opinion, spoiled an otherwise nice time.

Another gorgeous takeaway from Paccata Thai - the Steamed Fish Neung Manao was light and spicy, the stir fried tofu & veg with cashew nuts & spring onions was very tasty and the salt & pepper squid was tender & crunchy - excellent food and excellent value.

I had lunch today with my wife and had the lunchtime special menu for £10.50 2 courses and it was fantastic !! We ordered a addition side order of the deep fried calamari and it did not disappoint, the starters and main courses were very authentic and great sized portions, authentic flavours and great service I think we have found a absolute gem in crouch end!! Thanks for a great lunch

It was a really pleasant lunch. A bit full (never a problem) and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the beef salad and the pad se mew (apologies for the spelling).

It's easy to pass this unassuming restaurant by in a street offering plenty of eating options. The decor isn't anything special, betraying limited financial resources: you get the firm impression of a family run business (which is generally a positive in my book). For a Monday night in January with Omicron raging it was reasonably busy and several takeaway orders were collected whilst we were there. Service was professional, attentive and pleasant throughout. The menu, which was a bit battered and hard to read (although there's a really clear board by the entrance) offered 61 alternatives, including 16 starters. I'm always a bit suspicious in small restaurants that it's impossible to offer consistently fresh food with so many choices available and some of the things we ordered (such as the Thai Fish Cakes) were pretty obviously reheated. However my main dish of marinated pork neck chargrilled with lemon, chilli and coriander was too tender to have been cooked in advance and I enjoyed eating it. We chose the cheapest red wine from a small list: an £18 bottle of Chilean merlot which was OK. I would happily eat at Paccata again.

I had my first visit 4 days ago and we ordered takeaway again 2 days later! New favourite reliable Thai. We arrived without booking on a Friday night, so were hesitant as to whether it would be slow service - our experience was brilliant! A cosy, simple interior, very friendly staff. The service was quick and food SO tasty. Great value too.

Great vegan and vegetarian options. Fresh crunchy veg and delicious flavours . Service was efficient and all staff were warm , friendly and attentive . We will definitely be back !

Have had a take away from paccata at least 15 times. Went tonight for the first time at the restaurant. It never disappoints! Honestly such delicious fresh food at a good price. Highly recommend the battered prawns and veg gyozas for starters, then green curry or pad see ew for main. Always absolutely delicious! Thank you paccata for getting me through lockdown haha.

Went here today for 1st time. Looked lovely from outside. When I went in was greeted by a girl and shown to my table. Another girl brought me menus but after 5 mins took special menu away from me and said not available. Then decided to order breakfast. Was told could not have it as it was 13.34 and breakfast finishes at 13.30. Since I entered restaurant at 13.20 I should have allowed to order breakfast. I can see this restaurant does not go the extra mile. After all, I would be going the extra mile for customers. I was a new customer but after this experience would go elsewhere.

Lovely restaurant, we've eaten in and had takeaways a few times, its always been fantastic. Tonight was our first visit back post lockdown and it was still as good as always. Would definitely recommend.

Terrible takeaway last night. Beef like chewing carpet. Would have expected a better result if I had given a 4 year old a cook book and told them to get on with it.

We both had Jungle curry. Beef was tender and melted in your mouth. Prawns could have been more generous but 6 to a portion does seem pretty standard where ever you eat. I like hot curries and this was perfect, not over the top as some hot curries can be, and the chilli was cooked out properly. Thai crackers were still warm when they arrived. Very happy.

We absolutely love Pacatta Thai, it is by far the best local Thai in Crouch End and we really want to keep eating their takeaway but can’t continue to do so if they continue to pack their food in these horrible non-recyclable plastic food containers. At the and of each meal we just feel so dreadful about the amount of plastic we are left with. Pacatta there are now so many wonderful eco and biodegradable takeaway packaging options available for hot food. Please can you sort it out as we would love to keep buying takeaway from you!

We had a lovely meal here last night. Food was really excellent and staff were friendly and happily obliged our request to make everything spicy. We ordered tons and it was all delicious. They were also very fastidious in their COVID measures - taking our temperatures and making sure we left track and trace details. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Vivo en Palmers Green, que tiene muchos restaurantes, pero ninguno de ellos es tailandés. Este lugar es casi el más cercano en el extremo agachado cercano. Es más una cafetería que un restaurante y, aunque la comida es muy buena, me sorprendió que la factura llegara a 90 por 3, incluidos 2 refrescos y 2 cervezas. Hay muchos buenos restaurantes turcos cerca de mí donde una buena comida para 3 costaría 40, no estoy seguro si es ser tailandés o estar en cuclillas lo que hace que este lugar sea mucho más caro. Excelente servicio y la comida fue absolutamente deliciosa. Tanto las versiones vegetarianas como las no vegetarianas del plato de entrada tenían una buena selección de platos y eran muy sabrosas. El calamar frito, en particular, estaba fenomenal: crujiente por fuera, calamares muy suaves por dentro. A esto le siguió uno de los mejores Phad See Ew que he probado fuera de Tailandia, con muchas verduras de color verde oscuro; un curry de pollo Panang rico, suave pero debidamente condimentado, y un Phad Kaprow de ternera muy bueno con las mejores judías verdes y un buen toque de chile.¡Espero poder visitarlo en persona una vez que el bloqueo haya terminado correctamente!

Mi comida tailandesa favorita para llevar en Londres.Hasta ahora, todo lo que pedí sabía fantástico y fresco. El equipo siempre es muy amable cuando lo recogí yo mismo y también es muy rápido para la entrega.Mi estrella personal es el Red Thai Curry y el Salt & Pepper Tofu como entrante o la sopa Tom Kha para el invierno. Pero también probé muchos platos diferentes y hasta ahora nunca me decepcionó.Solo me llevaron durante la crisis de covid y me sentí más que cómodo ya que mantienen un estándar de higiene muy alto.

Lovely restaurant. We love Thai food and it is very difficult to locate a Thai restaurant with vegan options. This restaurant have a great vegan menu to pick the dishes from. I personally love Green Thai curry and many restaurants use ready made sauce made with fish sauce but here the curry tastes amazing and we did not have to worry about any meat/fish contamination. We also loved their spring rolls and fried tofu. The service was very good. We had owners wife serving us who was very pleasant and lovely. One member had the dishes from normal menu and he loved his dishes too. My only criticism would be that having a lovely vegan menu should include a couple of good vegan deserts, which is lacking at the moment. Love to see vegan cheese cake or equivalent on the menu.

Ayer por la noche (lunes) llegamos a eso de las 7 ish, no muy concurrido, pero dentro de una hora hay un restaurante vertical que dice mucho sobre la calidad de la comida y el servicio en lo que normalmente es una noche tranquila. Muchas de las cenas eran cenas de regreso. Recomiendo totalmente este lugar, no estoy seguro de por qué me tomó tanto tiempo encontrarlo.

Arrived in Crouch End 2 years ago. Finally tried it tonight, bloody marvellous. Gyoza bursting with flavour, tender fried squid, zingy crunchy papaya salad, delicate steamed bass.... could go again for breakfast. Only small niggle, the stream of Deliveroo bikers marching in and out. Not nice for diners.

Always reliable and a comparitively 'cheap eat'. Have never been disappointed here. Very busy at weekends

Ate here last night with friends. Good service and good food. They were extremely busy but we did not feel rushed at all. Reasonably priced.

We live in Crouch End and eat out a lot. This is probably the best Thai in the area. Always well prepared with the freshest ingredients. My favourite is the Tom Kha and the steamed fish. Broccoli is good too in soy sauce.

After ordering food from here a number of times (which is always delicious) we decided to eat in the actual restaurant. The service is great and most impressively the food is amazing time and time again. Would definitely recommend.

This was a meal after a matinee at the Park Theatre, Finsbury Park. Everything we had was very tasty and nicely presented, the service was lovely, and the room was a nice place to be. All-in-all, a decent, straightforward, thoroughly pleasant local restaurant.

Cannot fault the service. A very high, charming, standard experienced. Food was delicious and authentic. The restaurant has s very high level of cleanliness which is always pleasing.

Tor and his team serve up wonderfully authentic Thai food with equally authentic Thai hospitality. Eddie even cooked up an off-menu Khao Soi (a northern speciality) for us which was delicious. The flavours brought us right back to our time in Thailand. We are looking forward already to our next visit to Paccata.

Easily the best Thai restaurant in Crouch End. All three courses were full of flavour, cooked and prepared fresh(not always the case). Very good value.

First time visiting although they have been open over a year. Food delicious and authentic, plenty of options for spice heads like me as well as those that prefer milder heat. Staff friendly and eager to help. A great addition to Crouch End.

I don't like to leave a negative review as these things can often be subjective. I visited Paccata at Crouch End with a friend. We had the mixed platter for 2 for starters. My guest had Phad Khing Chicken with Thai fragrant rice, I had fish neung manoa with egg fried rice. All tasted ok when we were at the venue, but within an hour of reaching home I was violently sick and up all night as a result. I phoned my guest who had tasted a mouthful of my fish and she said she had a tummy upset but nothing as bad as myself. I rang the restaurant the next day to alert them. The manager was very defensive, denying that my illness could be linked to the food and asking me diversionary questions about what else I had eaten that day. I was too ill to pursue the conversation, but rang back again a few days later to let them know I was not happy and I believed my condition had something to do with the fish they had served. Again I was met with disbelief. I will not be going back to Paccata.

Had a delicious Thai curry at this friendly, welcoming restaurant. Restaurant was busy and had a buzzing atmosphere. The staff all had smiles on their faces.

We really wanted to like this place as it was so charming and cosy. Service was lovely and a great spot for a post-movie dinner. Unfortunately the food just didn't deliver and we found everything lacking in flavour and just too sweet (especially the red Thai duck curry). It's like they've adapted Thai flavours for a British palate.

I found Paccata restaurant on Google local restaurants. This is my first time ordering with them & I ordered Duck Breast Red Curry, which consisted of roast duck with pineapple, tomatoes & basil & thai fragrant rice. The foid tasted delicious & I definitely will be going back again. The staff were nice & polite & because I got a bit lost gave me complimentary prawn crackers that tasted delicious to.

Came here just before xmas and the staff were excellent with great food being served. Genuinely a superb Thai with authentic tasty dishes. I look forward to going again

We are Aussies living in London. Good Thai food made with fresh noodles is hard to find in the UK where mediocre food is the norm . We visited last night and all dishes were excellent.

Paccata has a varied menu, with plenty of good options for vegetarians. The setting is relaxed, much nicer than equivalent chain restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.

We went to Paccata for my friends birthday last night in Crouch end, the ambience was beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious apart from corn cake starter that was doughy, everyone enjoyed their meals and we got fried bananas and ice cream on the house. I highly recommend the restaurant, it is value for money and the staff were fabulously helpful.

Hands down the worst salt & pepper squid I’ve eaten in London, consisting mainly of overcooked,extra thick and oily batter with a few little pathetic pieces of chewy, frozen squid. The pad thai was below average and clearly made without a gram of care or passion put into it! Shame as my mum got me excited about this place..

After three months away from London, I couldn’t wait to go back to one of my favorite restaurants. It was quite disappointing! The service was incredibly slow and the atmosphere wasn’t nice as it used to be. I booked a table for two over the phone, and a member of the staff assured me that i could use the tastelondon card. I mentioned it again when I arrived, and she said it was going to be fine. Just as soon as I asked for the bill though, the manager informed me that they don’t accept it anymore.

I’m a vegetarian and my husband is a meat eater and we usually struggle to find a restaurant that ticks both boxes but this place is amazing! Veggie red curry is incredible and the spring rolls are the best I’ve ever had. Lovely friendly waitress too, we’ll be back!

This Thai restaurant is bursting with warmth and personality. Easy to access in Crouch End, dining facility or take away/ delivery. We loved our lunch menu. If you love noodles, try the Pad Thai, but if you prefer Rice, try the green curry. Yummy!

Staff are always very friendly and accommodating. The food is superior to other Thai places I been and I have now tried quite a variety of dishes and all have been superb. we will be back very soon

This is the best Thai food I have tasted in a restaurant - really lovely flavours and good portions. Also the restaurant is really welcoming and the staff seem really genuinely friendly.

I had a prawn curry with coconut rice. I asked for the spicey version. The curry was crrrreeeaaamyyy, sppiiiiiiceyyyy, just #todiefor ! Perfect service too.

Very impressed with the quality of the food and the depth of flavours. We had a veg green curry, sublime and a generous portion enough for two to share, a fabulous Spicy Aubergine mains that was A1, the mixed veg platter was wonderful, even the soy sauce stood out (not the more common thin overly salty cheap version), and the cocount rice was heavenly, best I've ever had. There wasn't enough rice though. Service was prompt and polite, and they dealt with our combined special requests for no garlic or fish sauce (my mother the first, me the latter) throughout the courses with good cheer. Oh and my mother says their homemade coconut ice cream is to die for..

A Londra ci sono tanti ristoranti thai ma non è così facile trovarne uno davvero buono e dai sapori autentici come il Paccata che si trova al Crouch End. Piccolo e accogliente, è un ristorante a gestione familiare con piatti davvero deliziosi e curati nell’aspetto. Tutto buonissimo, in particolare il green curry, i calamari sale e pepe e gli spaghetti pad thai. Ottima qualità a un costo non alto. Porzioni nella media e servizio gentile e veloce. Da non perdere!

Everything on our table ( and everyone else’s ) looked amazing . Our meal was stir fried veg , coconut rice , chicken pad Thai and king prawns . All delicious . Service was warm and lovely . I will be going back !

Love Thai food. Just came back from a trip to Thailand and was dying for some Thai food, my friend invited me to go to Paccata and said I would not be disappointed and I wasn't. The place has a warm atmosphere and the manager Toh, could not be more welcoming and friendly. However was the food that I really loved, tasty and fragrant. I could not find a place in Thailand that was better. It is close to where I live so I will definitely become a regular. Five star for service and food.

The food is amazing in this place. Fresh, tasty and filling. Staff always made you feel welcome. I am eating here at least once per week at the moment. Would eat every day if I had time.

Cleanest restaurant I've been in, the breakfast was fantastic for the price. Lovely staff offered alternatives if the set menu needed adjusting. Highly recommended for breakfast on a lazy Sunday.

Vinimos aquí un viernes por la noche, y gracias a su gran ubicación, Pacata estaba muy llena. Mi amigo y yo estábamos anhelando comida tailandesa, así que nosotros nos sentamos en un banco que era un poco incómodo, ya que tuvimos que sentarnos frente a la pared, pero doble nuestros cuellos para mirar a otros debido a la falta de espacio.

Amazing food and service, food came out quickly. The portions were fine. It was a great visit and would recommend if you are looking for thai food.

Pacata is an excellent restaurant serving delicious Thai food at very reasonable prices. It's a rare find in this area. We booked using Tripadvisor and were asked if our order needed to be prioritised, as many people eat a pre-theatre meal in this area. Mixing starters mains and sides we were surprised at the amount of food and delighted by its quality. We'll be going back. Try the green curry and the salt and pepper squid starter
