Tasty lunch before our spa treatments. Lots of Asian tapas plates trying to try every thing on the menu. Lovely set up and great staff.

The food and service was average. - Red curry lacked any depth of flavour and was too sweet. - Beef and black bean was very salty. - The salt and pepper chips were massively over salted. - Although quiet - staff were not present to refill drinks and ask if our food was okay. Overall, the quality of the food and experience did not match the cost of the meal. A shame as previously this restarant was fantastic.

My husband and I went for a meal in the Ozone last night and it didn’t disappoint. Both our meals were absolutely beautiful and very tasty. I had the Thai red curry and my husband had a steak. No complaints at all. Service was also very good. Obviously, it’s Seaham Hall so it’s a bit pricey but in my opinion worth it.

I booked Ozone for my wife’s birthday as it menu and photos of the food looked very good. We’re both veggies and find it hard to find decent restaurants that do good vegetarian dishes. We were not disappointed. The quality of food was impressive. We had tempura vegetables and summer rolls to start. Then I had the best vegetable green Thai curry I’ve had in a very long time and my wife had the Nasi Goreng. To finish we both had Eton mess. The ambiance was very peaceful that echoed the pan Asian cuisine. As the restaurant is in a hotel that has a spa a lot of the diners were in white bath robes. So it’s the first restaurant I’ve eaten in where I felt overdressed in jeans. In my booking I asked for a quiet table as it was my wife’s birthday and we were sat in a corner by a large window overlooking the beautiful garden and there was a birthday card from the team, and the young lady (sorry I didn’t catch her name but she gets married next year) who took us to our table wished my wife a happy birthday, all of which was a nice touch. We had arrived at the main reception of the hotel as there was no proper signage for the restaurant. The helpful receptionist gave us directions and we had an exotic and tranquil journey along a water lined tunnel that transported us to Asia.

The restaurant and the spa look great and there, it ends. Poorly trained staff, who did not know or care what was on on the menu, no attention to detail, we were left to get on with it. No staff were available....and we were extremely patient, so we had to search them out. When we tried to get the bill, two members of staff were on the other side of the room, chatting to each other, in their own world. This was one very long meal.

A beautiful setting for a fabulous meal. Very informal as many of the guests were from the spa so were wearing robes. The staff were so attentive, without intruding, we felt very welcomed. Drinks sorted & menu explained within moments of being seated. Starters were duck pancakes & chicken satay. Well portioned for a starter dish. Mains were king prawn teriyaki & king prawn szechuan both of which were scorching hot on being served. Not surprising as the kitchen is a feature of the restaurant & is only a few steps away. The sauce was plentiful & not over salted as many Asian dishes can be. The portions were too big for us to finish so no idea what the desserts were.

Slightly apprehensive given some of the reviews on here but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. Light and airy and we were well warned about the visitors to the spa dominating proceedings with their white robes. Didn't bother us at all although some sights to be seen amongst the somewhat portly middle aged men tucking in! One of the tastiest meals of our holiday and the open kitchen added to the atmosphere. In my naivety I though the beer prices just below £5 were competitive for a pint until my 330ml bottle arrived - menu not very clear on this point.... But that aside a lovely evening was had.

We ate in the Ozone Restaurant as part of our spa day at Seaham Hall Serenity Spa. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxed, most guests are visiting the spa so almost everyone is dining in spa robes and slippers. Food was served quickly and was piping hot. Portion sizes are HUGE! We requested water and after quickly emptying our glasses, as we been overheating in the hot tubs outside! the server kindly left us with a jug of water to rehydrate. Prices are quite high, but the quality of the food would have been totally worth the menu prices (our 2 course meal was actually included in the price of our spa afternoon however). Staff were all friendly, helpful and professional, as always. Our spa day was disappointing as none of the spa rooms were actually open!? But our day was saved by our thai meal in the Ozone Restaurant! - the best yellow curry we have eaten outside of Thailand! Our starters were both delicious, I loved my duck wraps - there was so much food, I was almost full after my starter! but the Thai yellow curry was sooo sooo delicious I just couldn't stop eating even though I was full! My husband's green thai was tasty, but nowhere near as spectacular as the yellow curry :-) We are definitely considering returning just to eat at the restaurant for another portion of that delicious yellow curry!

Came for a twilight Spa on a Tuesday night. We were initially booked for March but due to lockdown we had to postpone it. We had a 2 course meal in the ozone restaurant included in this. We were booked in for 6pm but arrived to the restaurant early which wasn't a problem. We got seated quickly and had our order taken fairly quickly too as it was extremely quiet in the restaurant. We had an option of either starter and main or main and dessert, we both went for the dessert option. Food arrived quickly and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The portions for the mains were huge which is always a bonus!! I had the beef pad Thai followed by the cherry bakewell cheesecake. My mam went for the chicken terriaki stir fry with rice and the sticky Toffee pudding. Although it was lovely, we would only come again if it was included in a spa day as we both thought the prices were extremely expensive if you were going for the meal alone.

Not been here for a year and after last time didn’t have high expectations. Had a two course meal. The meal itself was better than last time. Last year we thought it was not better than a take away meal. But this time food was of good quality. Only negative was the chicken skewers added to the Nasi goreng was dry. Not yet 5 star service. Although the staff despite being busy were attentive. Just some tweaking required. Could do with some where to hang out coats or staff took them to a cloak room. As usual felt over dressed. Should of come in our dressing gowns and flip flops as full of ‘twilight guests’. Either have a dress code or a separate area for them.

Visited here on Sunday night with my partner. Small menu but still a great variety of options. We opted for the Thai red curry, one chicken and one beef, noodles and rice. Food came prompt and was piping hot, great portion sizes and not lacking in meat which I see regularly. Curry’s tasted superb, very fresh and fully of flavour. Great that you can see it being freshly made in the open kitchen. Service was good, recommended a dish for me as I was unsure so thank you. Love that you can dine in your robes, makes the stay much more relaxed. Would definitely return. Only reason for not being 5 is, the menu in our room was different to the one given in the restaurant. I did ask if they still did the black bean dish which was on the menu in our room, to which we were made clear they do not and asked to where we had seen the menu. This would have been fine but staff continuously discussed the matter out loud between them selves making me feel a little awkward. Arguing over who was to come over and ask where we had seen the menu etc.

The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere as most guests are visiting the spa so almost everyone is dining in bath robs and flip flops. The Oriental food is delicious and the portion sizes a large. On my most recent visit I had vegetable spring roles and Steak Teriyaki. I’ve eaten here several times and never been disappointed, the service can come across a little disorganised sometimes but the staff are pleasant as friendly. My one criticism was that during dinner we were not offered any water and our water glasses stood empty for the entire meal.

We hadn’t eaten in Ozone for over 6 years. The food the last time was really nice too. We had the set 2-course deal with prosecco. The starters aren’t the largest, however they are really rich and the portion size is probably just right for two courses. We had Nasi Goreng & Pad Thai. There were chicken skewers added to the dishes which were already overloaded with freshly cooked chicken. The flavours of all of the dishes were excellent. The Nasi Goreng had a big chilli hit, which was ideal for us. The £5 bottles of Tsang Tao were good, too. The toilets are as fine as you’d expect in a 5-star hotel and the whole building oozes class. We’ll definitely be back as it is within walking distance of our house.

Came here in March and wasn’t too impressed but decided to try it again. The service could be so much better. Staff seem lethargic and disengaged. Me and my friends listed endless things the staff in the restaurant could have done to come across as more professional. They need some major training in my opinion. Food is ok - obviously a westernised version of Thai food - but not amazing. By the end of the evening our clothes smelled really badly from all the cooking smells coming out of the kitchen. Several light bulbs over the central bar area were out. Just feels shoddy.

We enjoyed the meal, good presentation and large portion size. However the service was lacking by one particular female waitress who almost throw the plates on to the table; that said the young man who took our orders and served drinks was well trained and mannered. One particular issue was the number of diners wearing bath robes some of which were revealing far too much flesh. Perhaps the management should take this on-board and provide separate dining areas. This is a fine dining restaurant and diners should be able to enjoy their meal in a comfortable way; management need to address some degree of segregation and dress code.

I visited the hotel to meet with a colleague over coffee and lunch. On arrival at the main reception we were told that there was a wedding in the main lounge area so could not go in there and were advised to go to the Spa and the Ozone Restaurant. We did this and on arriving at the little sign that said please wait to be seated, we duly waited well over 5 minutes before being asked if we had booked, we said no, the waiter mumbled something ineligible then appeared to be beckoning us to a table. We the sat down and he walked off. a couple of minutes later he returned and gave us 2 menus and then left, no explanation of how the menu worked - as they have various lunch offers - he then duly came back with the daily specials menu and also told us drinks were in the menu already at the table. All of this was I must say mumbled rather than said. After 5 minutes or so a waitress came to take our drinks order and then 3 or 4 more minutes and our food order was taken, neither order was repeated, confirmed nor acknowledged. The food arrived and was very very good. Not once during the meal were we offered any drink top ups or in fact had our water glasses topped up. Whilst I am more than capable of pouring my own water and happy to do so, I would expect a restaurant claiming to be 5 star o at least offer to do this, to at least enquire if the meals were satisfactory to at least have service staff that are happy and bright not to mention able to converse in something other than a bored mumble. At the end of the meal having asked for the bill I was made to feel like I was a huge inconvenience by producing a card to pay with and I quote the waiter 'Oh I will have to go back to the bar for the machine'. The bill paid there was absolutely no acknowledgement from teh waiter, not a thank you, not an enquiry after the meal in fact we did not see him again. All in all an extremely disappointing visit, I had gone with the intention of checking out the hotel for a weekend away for our wedding anniversary, however, I would like in our weekend away to have the opportunity to take coffee or a drink in the lounge without being in teh way of a wedding or similar and the opportunity to be served dinner by someone who takes some pride in their role and not someone skilled at making you feel like you are a massive inconvenience to them. All in all terribly disappointed and feeling very let down by seriously sub standard service

Gorgeous Thai food. We loved it all. But the spring rolls were just the best ever. Try the mixed starter and the teriyaki. Really tasty.

Me and a friend were booked in after our trip to the twilight spa. We’ve now been twice and it’s been lovely both times! Plenty of choice on the menu, love that you can dine in your robe and will definitely be visiting again. Relaxing atmosphere also.

Being round the corner from where we live we've been many times as it was a very nice meal for a very reasonable price. Sadly over the last year the prices have gone up and the quality way down. Such a disappointment, I used to love their green curry!! Probably won't go back now, it's gone so far back.

Myself and my partner have just recently returned home from another fantastic trip to seaham hall. I was blown away when my partner booked this for my birthday as I absolutely love this place. Every time we stay I come away feeling brand new and revitalised.Everything about the place can only be described as perfection and I was also excited to arrive at the spa to find it has all been renovated so all the facilities are brand new. The spa now features a brand new salt Sauna which left my skin feeling amazing, Asian Sanarium and much more. While we were there we treat ourselves to treatments all I can say about the treatments is wow. For a full 45minutes I drifted in to a subconscious feeling of bliss. When the lady rung the bell at the end I was gutted it was over but felt like a new women. All the stress I had been feeling instantly lift my body after my treatment. We grabbed a snack after inThe ozone restaurant I had the duck to start and chicken chow main as a starter and my partner had fish cakes as a starter and chicken chow main as a main. My partner is a fussy eater and when he asked for a few change to his chow main the waiter was more then happy to help and don't make no fuss at all. The food came in a short time and was freshly cooked. Our meals were beautiful and the bill was surprisingly cheaper then I thought it would be and that was with drinks to. We returned back to the hotel to find we had been upgraded to the penthouse which we literally couldn't stop grinning about walking up the stairs to our room. When we walked in to our room I thought i was dreaming it was like something out of a film the room was absolutely huge. The penthouse has a guest bathroom, study, large sitting/dining room and a Huge bedroom with an ensuite. I first off ran a bath which could home a shark it was that big. It was perfect I lite the candles and the bath faced a window which u could see out to the grounds. We were shattered from our day of been pampered all day so I decided to chance my luck and ring to see if we could have our meal which was involved in our package brought to our room. The lady on reception couldNot have been any more helpful she ran us up a menu from the Bryons and told us to ring down once we were ready. The food arrived to our room piping hot and everything was cooked to perfection. We also had our breakfast in bed for a small cost for room service but no additional cost for the food it was still cover by the package we had. Over all our stay at seaham hall has been one I will never forget and I all ready look forward to returning.

Lovely food at this Asian restaurant situated within the Spa at Seaham Hall. Casual clothing appropriate, many of the other diners were wearing spa dressing gowns as the meal came as part of their twilight spa package.

We visited in August on a cold Saturday evening for the twilight spa for my partners birthday. After a relaxing evening we headed to the restaurant. I ordered duck pancakes and a chicken dish (can't remember what now!) with noodles with my partner opting for dish cakes and Thai green curry with rice. The food was gorgeous. Both starters and mains were so tasty. We loved the fact the kitchen is open so you can see all of the cooking being done. They'd asked ahead of us arriving if we were there for a special occasion. As we were about to leave they came over with a piece of chocolate cake on a beautifully presented plate with happy birthday on. It was a lovely end to the meal and fortunately my partner give me a taste so we didn't fall out about it LOL!The staff were lovely, didn't get their names but a small blonde lady looked after our table and I totally put her on the spot asking what she'd recommend and she was so helpful. The tall lady with dark who who rushed over with the cake before we left was lovely too. Great staff in a great restaurant paired with fantastic food.

Ate here on Sunday evening. Front of desk lady did not impress us at all. We were dismissed to side seats whilst she did something on the computer which was clearly more important and then told us that the window table we had requested was not available as we were 2 and the table was for 3! We had only put this request in 8 weeks ago! Definitely sensed that spa users and locals were more welcome here. Food was the redemption for 4 stars. I had teriyaki belly pork with noodles and my husband had the prawn Thai curry. The mixed starter was just OK with the exception of outstanding chicken satay. Should have ordered this as starter instead! ,Staff here need to improve customer service skills. Yes, it is a laid back restaurant but that doesn't mean the staff should have same approach.

Our table of 13 including 6 children was very well served. One of our party was gluten free and the staff and chef were excellent at accommodating him and making him feel special and safe. Salmon was beautiful. Not too stodgy but very tasty meals.

Restaurant serving Asian food. It is in the Seaham Spa complex and people using the spa can eat in bath robes. When we were there about half were doing this. Some tables on outdoor 'terrace' overlooking grounds of the hotel.

We decided to have lunch here after spending a morning in the spa. It was lovely to be able to dine somewhere less formal in our robe and slippers so we could go straight back to the pool when we'd finished. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Seafood Platter which was just delicious!! I could have eaten 2 it was that tasty! Lovely and light too so could carry on swimming after we'd eaten. The restaurant itself makes you feel like you've been dropped in another world entirely and has a lovely Asian feel to it.

Whilst using the spa, we decided to treat ourselves to afternoon tea. It was fairly weird to sit in our bathrobes and slippers and have one of the best afternoon teas ever. Considering we serve these our selves - we do know what a good afternoon tea should be.

Quality food cooked fresh in open kitchen. Spa users can eat here wearing their white robes. Therefore maybe not the place to eat on a special occasion? But best oriental food we have ate for a while.

Visited here recently with friends, a nice setting as you would expect for Seaham Hall but a very average meal. Although the restaurant is situated in the spa I didn't expect a room full of people in dressing gowns at 7:30pm on a Saturday night! Worth a visit but once is enough.

We stayed at Seaham Hall and chose this instead of Byron's Restaurant. We didn't regret it.The food is cooked fresh to order in an open kitchen by two staff. The Asian menu takes inspiration from a number of countries and you will definitely find something you will like.Sharing platters to start and rice/noodles based main courses with quality cuts of meat. The desert menu was a little underwhelming but I was too full to mind.Beware that evening Spa visitors will still be wearing their Spa wear (gowns etc) to eat here so dress casually if you feel more comfortable.
