Tasty starter ( hummus- saksoka). Adna kabab was tasty. Pida was delicious & crispy. I didnt like the coke . Since the grill open on the hall, the place had smell of cooking ( need more ventilation) . Price is high

Friendly place on busy road leading to City Centre.Fairly basic inside but excellent menu and food. The casseroles were excellent both chicken and vegetarian. as was the roast lamb, all served with rice.We had side dishes of salads, red onion and Mesopotamian, both good and large portions, washed down.with Turkish tea and freshly squeezed pomegranate and orange juice. Good service and reasonably priced.

Madeira

21/02/2019: Now in St Mary Street and renamed Thy Madeira, this old favourite has more tables and was very busy at lunchtime. Waiting staff as friendly and always on the go..Quick service however for whiteboard and garlic mushroom starters, monkfish kebabs and chicken Tymadeira, and peas and tice. sauteed potatoes and cauliflower in better. All absolutely delicious.
01/04/2019: Went for dinner on Saturday night with some friends. As we are not local to Cardiff the choice of venue was theirs, and it was a great choice.

Gwaelod y Garth Inn

02/07/2019: Really enjoyed Sunday lunch here. We both had the roast beef, which was cooked to perfection and was succulent and delicious and served with a variety of vegetables and lashings of tasty gravy. We could not resist a dessert as all homemade. I chose the roulade and my son had the apple penderyn tart; both were gorgeous. We were full and glad we did not order a starter. I love scallops but I feel £11 for a starter is expensive! However, what we ate, we were really pleased with.
20/07/2019: Repeat visit here with an old friend of mine who likes his ales! Great selection on tap and excellent hospitality and friendliness from the girl behind the bar in offering him a chance to sample the selection. Just about made it for food and the pie and chips was just what was needed. It was tasty, hearty, no frills and certainly satisfied two hungry chaps.
