Had a great 2024 bday with the family, lovely food.

Always good. Fresh cooked to order. We had a large starter platter, followed by duck and mains. To the people that complain it is too expensive, go to Greggs. These are decent, hardworking people offering good quality fresh food in unlimited quantities. Get a grip!

Went here for a meal in the evening and tbh it’s worth the value of the money there could be abit more choice on the menu but the food comes out fresh and made to order it’s not like a go serve urself where it’s been sat on a hot plate for a whole day this food 🍱 is made to order and the fresh taste shows this 5⭐️

Amazing food every time we have been. Have only been as part of a large party but there is always plenty of food brought out over 3 courses - starters, duck pancakes and mains. All of the food is hot and well cooked. Allergies are checked at the start so you can find out what you can and can't have. It has always been busy when there so don't think it is always easy to call to book but definitely worth visiting!

Best Chinese restaurant I've been to! Queue was quite long to get in, even though we had booked a table & service was slowish, but the place was heaving, so was to be expected! Delicious food at a reasonable price! Will defo return!

A delicious and varied meal as always.

Went last night (Sunday) table of 12 service was slow the waiter drop the noodles out the bowl onto table scoop them back in and left them on table....small bowl of rice for 12 to share asked for more another small bowl but boiled rice....orders all wrong....felt very rushed the place was so packed and people waiting to be seated. Maybe try again when not close to christmas...but service should still be good whatever time of year.

A favourite with my old college girls - the food is delicious and bountiful, always seems fully occupied hence good atmosphere and perfect for our get- togethers. However, have to agree with several reviews - tired and dated and could definitely do with some renovations and smartening up. Given that the restaurant always appears busy, maybe its time to reinvest something to ensure the future?

Best all you can eat in town. Service was really good and all the courses came out quick and still tasted fresh and hot.

Great place to visit for Chinese lunch, all you can eat but instead you are served to the table so you can Try lots of different things and have more anytime! We had the sharer platters to start as we booked for 17 people, duck pancakes next course and then picked different things for the mains and all shared. Food was very tasty, plenty of flavour, well presented and quick to clear away empty dishes. Friendly staff, will definitely visit it again.

This all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant offers amazing food, accompanied by a very friendly staff. While slightly on the expensive side, the experience is undoubtedly worth the money. Expect it to be bustling as it's popular, but it's hands down the best Chinese spot in the area.

The best food in Northampton. One of my most favourite restaurants. The service is amazing, never had an unpleasant experience. The food never lets me down and so affordable. Great for big family outings and socialising with friends

We have eaten here a few times now and the food has always been spot on, good starter platter, then a massive selection of meals that are ordered to your table and more can be ordered throughout. All they ask is don't order loads and leave it all, just order then if you want more of anything or different food order. If you like this type of food then this place is a must. It's a good idea to call first to make sure you can get a table

Great experience, nice staff and it is generally a pretty relaxed vibe. Food is really nice and tasty and although portion sizes can be quite small, you can order as much as you want multiple times. The small portions a re to prevent food waste, but you can order a lot of food so don't worry if you think you can eat more, you can order more. Service is quick and there is always someone around to grab their attention to order. The price for what it is is very decent.

Consistentley full no matter what evening you go food always great can't really fault the place

Very nice food, good price and friendly staff. Clean and tidy restaurant and toilets. Staff very friendly and the food was very nice and you can have as much of it as you like. Good place for a large bunch of people too with big tables.

Would love to review, but just tried to visit only to find it closed ... couldn't get thru on the phone either so no idea if its just not open on a Tuesday or closed altogether!!

Disappointed working away from home staying next door in the hotel and was told they don’t do take away looking at their other reviews they do takeaway, maybe they were having a bad night 🤔

First time dining in here although we have enjoyed numerous takeaway meals in the past. Very busy even though it was Sunday evening. There were 12 of us including 3 with GF requirements. Food and service was exceptional. Brilliant.

Amazing food..fresh juicy and tasty. Flavour food from start to finish. Fast service and price matches quality and all you can eat is an understand..huge portions. Higgly recommended..book at least 1 week in advance as books up quickly.

Hadn't been to The Oriental Paradise for a number of years, and thought we'd try it again. The positives....great, friendly and attentive staff. Prompt service & great to see the restaurant full! The not so positives...the food albeit plentiful, some of the crispy duck was dry and difficult to swallow. Some of the mains (king prawns in black bean sauce) was overly salty. Left feeling a little disappointed and it may be a few more years until we return.

Went here with my family and had the all you can eat, the food was cooked to order and was really nice, tasty and hot. It was really busy in the restaurant but the food still came out quickly and there was plenty for us to choose from and eat. You are allowed to order more of any dishes if there isn’t enough and they will bring it out when it’s cooked. We all really enjoyed the food here and it was good value for money.

Good variety to choose from and unrestricted volume. Needless to say left very full. Nice quality food and not disappointed at all. Salt and chilli squid was excellent and very tender.

Nice food abit quick at clearing the first corse away for the second. Which seemed wasteful, but must have been cheep as my bosses smiled when they got the receipt.

We're from Hertfordshire, We went there on Saturday 1st July 23 quite a few of us celebrating my best friends Renewing of their wedding vows, the food was absolutely exquisite, the owner/waiter was brilliant, so funny kept us entertained, I don't think we've ever laughed so much 🤣🤣, We highly recommend this restaurant, you definitely won't leave there hungry, We are visiting the area again end of August, So hopefully make a booking for then 😊😋👍

Food , as always was great but this is the first and last time we would go on a Saturday. We , as well as everyone else had to wait outside until they were ready for us so good job it was not raining or cld. Then we were all herding in together like cattle.

What a Restaurant. Just wow. Beautiful interior, cracking service and amazing food. To then be presented with a perfectly reasonable bill was the cherry on top. If you're looking for somewhere to eat around Billing Aquadrome, look no further!

Pay once eat what you can type restaurant. Variety of choices, however no deserts for kids. Drinks paid separately. Food was nice but extremely sweet, I guess it is the trick, you cant eat that much sugar without getting sick. Therefore I would not be going back. Overpriced as well. Choose wisely.

Food was very poor. Served cold except for the noodles. We chose to eat from the a la carte menu and ordered a sizzling fillet dish and even this was only just warm and beef was tough and chewy definitely not fillet. Chicken supposedly cooked in coriander was a sliced deep fried chicken fillet that was dry with a bit of coriander put on top. We made our observations to the waitress and received no acknowledgement from any member of staff. Needless to say we will not return.

Very good food and very good service Plenty to eat, and the waiter was funny Would have been five stars but one waiter (who was wearing an Arsenal shirt!) asked for our table as soon as we had paid the billed and we felt like we were rushed out so we didn’t get a chance to finish our drinks!

One of our favourite restaurants didn’t disappoint again. Great welcome, drinks ordered and delivered promptly and two baskets of prawn crackers with dips. Great choice of starters and special mention for the mussels. Duck was a little disappointing but the main courses were very good. Overall, a very good evening.

Absolutely delicious food, everything we ordered was divine! Visiting from the east Midlands and it blows the best local Chinese takeaway out the water!

We had our dinner here 2 days ago. It was the weekend so it was packed with noisy customers. Service was toooooo slow. We had to wait for about 45mins for the starters to be served and 1 hour for the Main dish!!! we lost our appetite and so we couldn't finish the foods. Bad service. And the food is not that delicious.

The best Chinese in Northampton! Excellent ala carte all you can eat dishes and attentive service. Food quality is amazing and every dish we had was amazing. The fact it is all cooked fresh and served on a lazy Susan means you and your friends or family can share a multitude of dishes. I cannot recommend this place enough!

First time here, recommended by my daughter. Couldn't fault the afternoon meal

We have been to this venue before and were always happy with food and service. However on this occasion {13th April} we were happy with the food but not the service. It was very busy but to have to wait about 30 mins between each course was not acceptable . The staff were lovely and did their best but this must be down to a management problem as there seemed to be a problem with too many bookings and not enough staff serving and presumably in the kitchen for the number of bookings they had accepted. In all we were in the restaurant for nearly 4 hours . A pause between courses is acceptable but this was like a marathon ! We were surprised also at the rise in cost since our last visit which we thought even accounting for the rise in food costs was rather excessive. Unfortunately we will not be returning in the near future.

As always, a great all-around experience at The Oriental Paradise, especially the staff who go out there way to make sure you have a great time.

First time and won't be our last,traveled from bedford and so glad we did,food was fantastic and staff were so friendly and helpful and very cheerful great atmosphere,and all you can eat really is all you can eat,massive amount of food,highly recommend coming here and will definitely be returning.

Great food but long wait ( and food was already ready when I arrived so could have come earlier) and spent over £70 and did not get free prawn crackers. That has to be a given when spending that much.

One of the best in Northampton. Loads of choice. The only issue with the food was that the duck could have been crispier. Because it is so popular it can be a bit noisy and hard to have a conversation with others at your table.

Goodw was good and hot. The service was very very slow and the staff were not very happy. Won't be going back.

The place was packed and you couldn't hear yourself speak . We were in a group so the starters came as a mixture , bit of a free for all after waiting an hour for them . The table cloth didn't get cleaned in between courses , I think they were too busy . Waited ages for drinks also . The food tasted good but I wouldn't go again . As someone else said the toilets were scruffy and that was another thing that put me off .

Really yummy food and all you can eat.. the marmite ribs were out of this world.

All good until the end of our evening.. Public toilets very poor condition. I would of thought especially after the lock down someone would of spent money/time cleaning and redecorated the WC I believe clean WC's tell you another about the owners etc

The food and the staff are lovely. A Ways a warm welcome and so much food. I love the starters the duck and the lamb … maybe one day I’ll get to try th main courses.but so far I’m always so full. If you haven’t tried it what are you waiting for

Staff are super attentive and nice. Food is fabulous, the taste is great. The only thing that lets it down a little and I have been twice recently is that the duck portions are very small and not enough pancakes as it is my fav bit it is a shame. Maybe one could ask for more but it just feels a bit off Still absolutely worth a visit.

My wife went to get a Chinese 14th Feb.. Usuall stuff beef chow mean, chicken hong Kong style, I have not been able to get off the toilet. Wife's sick too. Daughter as well. Never again will I or any family member buy anything else from that dirty place. Doctor said it's food poisoning.. We are all on medication because of that dirty place. Wants closing down
