Onur Kebab House in Redbridge

Rude person at reception. I was passing by and asked for a takeaway menu leaflet. His response was to repeat what I asked for in a rude tone. If this is how you speak to customers don't expect them to come back or buy from here. I will not return because of this interaction with a rude and foolish member of staff that needs to learn some manners and respect for the customer. Food is also over priced and not good quality.

Been there few times, attitude of management is appalling They forcing customer to pay service charge even though they charge way more for eating in. No customer service It s Shame I did enjoy eating there but don’t feel going anymore as don’t feel welcome and they don’t know how to treat customers.

This place is scam artists, been going here for years, now when we order they automatically just give us everything in large portions and charge us. Also when paying they force you to pay service charge even when messing the order up & charging me for the things I didn’t ask for, they have done this the last few times. I will not be going back here again. Well done Onur. For your tactical scams you have lost a few customers now instead of keeping regular business

Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening- party of 25 booked last minute and they were more than happy to accommodate- nothing was too much for them. Great service and tasty food.

Been coming here for well over 10 years best kebab around, never had a bad meal !

Food is amazing; we usually get lamb Shish, chicken shish, lamb doner and chips. It’s a big portion and very nicely made. My only problem with them is that they only take cash and that is a pain and because of this I don’t go there as often as I like.

Great Turkish food cooked in front you, serves no achohol, but you can take your own.

Very good service and very fast as well, very nice food very filling, the man who served us was very nice and polite and allowed us to stay for long, talk and allowed us to bring our own drinks. We came as a group of 4 yesterday after 19:30, i wore a black thobe and my friends had glasses, curly hair and one was of a somalia decent. We enjoyed your service! Thanks Sully

Been a regular customer, but today got my favourite dish and only half of the meat ..very disappointed. On top of it ,someone deleted my pictures.

Im a regular costumer, l've never paid service charge until this week when they charge me 12% on top of my bill! On top of that they charged me £4.5 for more Tasiki,l will look for another Turkish restaurant,hope the staff recieve this tip ,as they force costumers to pay for it x

At gone midnight on a Saturday night & having not eaten all day, this place was a godsend & to make things better it was banging food.

Terrible. I ordered small portion of meat no bread no salad. Still they changed me full price £8.50. Never going back again.

Shame that our experience was ruined by what seemed a scam of some sort. Although the food is pretty good, it’s not cheap, but the reason we won’t be going back is that the day after our meal my wife’s FB page had been hacked by a phantom review praising the restaurant to the hilt which she did not write. I can only think that someone there managed to remotely hack her phone somehow. Beware!

Great Turkish food at a reasonable price

Polite/Helpful staff good value for money and food is top quality and fresh. Only downside is have put their service charge up to 12% hope this goes to the staff actually giving service.

Just landed back in the UK. And our first stop was our favourite place ..Onur, have been coming to this place since it was a kebab shop and would highly recommend. Food is always lovely and very friendly staff 😊

An old time favourite. We’ve been coming here since the days they were a doner and pizza shop. A lot of restaurants haven’t been able to keep up the standards due to inflation but there’s no compromising on quality here.

The food was disappointing, we ordered 1 large platter and 2 meals. They included the 2 meals in the platter and the platter was super tiny. We got charged £85 for 1 platter, absolute waste of money. The food didn’t taste good at all and left everyone with belly aches. The atmosphere was just wild and too loud.

Food was good, staff were kind although be warned that if you eat in you will be charged more than take away and they will add also a service charge on top of it. They say that you pay more inside than take away because you get more food and the tea in the end... just a fair warning for those who may feel annoyed for the extra pricing. Other than that food wise it's a proper Turkish restaurant at least for the food I have tried, even the sauces were well made.

Went into this restaurant and ordered sea bass and one coke. Sea bas was £14 but was charged £21…why? Not ever coming back. Would advice you to take away instead. Was going to come in with friends this week..not going to happen now. I want £5 back. Thank u

There are a lot good Turkish places in IG2 but Onur is at another level. The falafel and lamb shish are particularly good.

This is by fat the best Kebab i have ever tasted. Fresh and tasty.Great portions. Friendly staff. Very clean and tidy. The salad and chilli and garlic sauce are also very nice. I eat here twice a week. It really is that good. 10/10

I had a takeaway on Friday from Onur in Barkingside and we bought one chicken doner and one mixed doner and a Turkish pizza. That same night both me and my wife were vomiting and all night and had loose stool all weekend we have been in bed with headaches and stomach aches. We feel the food has given us food poisoning

Unfortunately very rude staff which makes it very hard for customers

We used to really like this place. However they have now apparently changed their menu and instead of a pitta to make a kebab you now receive one price of flat bread? The rice and chips were also cold. Will try somewhere else next time.

I really liked this restaurant. Me and my husband sat down and this restaurant and the food was lovely. My favourite thing about it was that they didn't sell alcohol so I'll definitely be coming here again InshAllah

I visited this place on 20/08/21 and ordered a chicken doner wrap. I asked the man serving if he did different sizes and if so, could I get a large. With hesitation he said yes and charged me an extra £1. Charged me £7 in total. After a short while, another man asked what salad and sauce I wanted - I saw the wrap and said - it looks a bit small, I asked for a large. The man said - it only comes in one size. I was fuming at this point and asked the man why his colleague then lied and charged me an extra pound. He said he didn’t know. Another man from behind then also said - the wrap comes in one size only but he would give me extra chicken doner. But that wasn’t the point - I was lied to and cheated for just £1. What kind of pathetic lying business is this?! That they steal from their customers!!! I then started raising my voice demanding to know why their colleague cheated me and lied?! For just a pound. Another lady came out wanted to know what happened - she then tried to also lie and said the wrap does come in difference sizes but 3 other men around her all said NO, it’s just one size. She asked me to lower my voice because she didn’t want the other customers to hear. One of them men then quickly served me and slammed £1 on their table. I was absolutely disgusted by their treatment and not one apology. How dare they cheat their customers and for just a pound?! It’s shameful!!! Thieves they are! Stay away. And on a side note - the chicken doner wasn’t even worth it. Tasted bland. The worst place in town - lying cheating scums!!! For just a pound!! It’s the principle of cheating their customers!!! It’s wholly unacceptable!!

I booked a table for a group of 18 people. The table was nicely presented with beautiful plates and there was ample space around and table so we were all seated comfortably. The service was friendly and on point with every course. The food was delicious. Everyone had a lovely time. I will definitely be going back again.

Ordered via JustEat. Easily navigated through the menu to choose a large Chicken Shish and Kalamar. Food arrived well before the estimated delivery time. It was all smartly and securely wrapped and packaged. All the food was still piping hot. Beautiful soft, flavoursome bread, beautifully charred, tender chicken and amazing Kalamar in a delicious sauce. All accompanied by tasty rice and fresh salad. Chilli sauce (in a side pot) fresh tasting with just the right amount of kick. Really enjoyable. HIGHLY recommend.

I rated this restaurant out of 3 because the food was genuinely good. However, there are a lot of flaws. The customer service was poor. They think they are smart, the price via takeaway is cheaper than eating in. A good few more pounds. Another thing is they don’t provide you with the full salad. You don’t get red cabbage or pickles unless you pay extra but the lady said that it only comes with takeaway meals??? If you come here, I only recommend you TAKEAWAY as it’s cheaper for you. Eating in isn’t that great anyways, you can do this round your dinner table

Good tasting and large portions

The food they serve is generally good.However the quality of food in all Kebab places 20-30 years ago was better. So everything is about cost cutting nowadays re food and ingredients this affects the quality of the food everywhere. This applies to food across the hospitality sector anyway everywhere in all restaurants nowadays, The staff are quite friendly and attentive to the customers. The prices of food is reasonable for what you pay for

Such a lovely Turkish restaurant, the food is very fresh, looks appetising and it is delicious, the lamb chops are tender and succulent, best in the area! You get a selection of dips and fresh bread to start with then the main course. Definitely will go back, reasonably priced meals and the ambiance and interior decor add to the great atmosphere this place and the staff offer. They accept card payment. They also offer one of the best Turkish delights with pistachio and tea when you finish your meal to digest better 5 stars from me

Again I am back & I have been away too long, I was pining for a Shish & I have to say the tastiest one can he found at this restaurant, I was given the usual starter of warm bread , yoghurt & Tsadsiki (I think) plus the Onur’s signature Chilli sauce & I demolished 6 slices quite quickly alternating yoghurt then chilli etc, My main came & it looked great, A very appetising salad on my plate with 6 well cooked pieces of chicken as I ordered a small, Oh it was delightful, I honestly think Onurs chicken has a flavour that other Turkish restaurants do not have, that’s why I love it, I have to say too the restaurant in my opinion has the best decor, Plaster walls with scenes of Turkish places, really quite beautiful, The staff are great & the food was delivered swiftly & the big thumbs up, It’s great value. You must visit this wonderful restaurant.
