It was not up to its usual high standards. The parfait starter was tasteless and the service was off. The last time we came here the service was excellent.

We had the set menu, oysters and wine and it was amazing quality overall. The service was also great and very attentive, I’d also highlight the various little mini courses which are complimentary such as a little drink, bread, dessert etc in between your orders. Definitely would recommend, just sad the restaurant in surbiton closed!

A very stylish and modern European restaurant, the service and food was excellent, we couldn’t fault a single thing, the menu was a bit limited but what we had was excellent. We’re fairly local so will definitely return. Thanks to the staff and chef who made our lunch memorable.

Love dinners at One One Four, the food is exquisite! Great quality and I have been several times and never been disappointed, they maintain the quality and the service is really great too!

Not impressed with the food. Some of us had lamb roast. The potatoes tasted old and were not particularly roasted, the lamb was virtually raw (we weren't asked how we wanted it cooked) and was 50% fat, hard to cut - we'd have fared better with steak knives. The broccoli was raw. Small portions. I can honestly say it was one of the worst roast dinners I've had and would have been happier with the roast my local cafe does at a fraction of the price. My brother ordered a black coffee and pronounced it to be awful. However the staff could not be faulted, they were exemplary and the decor and ambiance is lovely.

Even better than No 97 was. The food was exquisite, the service was first class and the atmosphere was excellent. Absolutely no negative feedback. I would strongly recommend a visit, book to avoid disappointment.

It was a family celebration dinner, beginning at the bar with cocktails. All were delicious and it was great fun watching the bar staff shaking their stuff. Having been seated at a window table for six, we shared a dozen very fresh and sea soaked oysters. Thence began the meal, with all the little extras that make 114 so special. Skill and care went into those canapés and pre deserts, the welcome cocktail before and the petit fours after. And they were all delicious. The meal itself was fresh, expertly cooked, inventive and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, welcoming and efficient, even when one of us hated beetroot, one wanted more bread and butter and, one demanded to know how the duck was cooked. (The answer to that was 52 degrees - very impressive.) The atmosphere was lively and ambient, everyone having fun, as did we. And we’re all still talking about it - the fun - and the food. I’m just trying to think of another excuse to go again soon!

What a wonderful night out! Took my family for dinner as we’d previously been fans of no97 (Surbiton) and 114 delivered on all counts. Lovely food, amazing attention to detail on all courses. Great communication with the owners who replied to my queries within the hour and made sure that our requests were taken care of. A great example of a local run restaurant who serve up delicious food in a lovely warm atmosphere with staff who are always on the right side of being attentive without overbearing. We are very lucky to have such an establishment so close to us so a big thank you to everyone we interacted with us both before and during our special night out - a night out to remember- thank you all very much - Paul

Everything about this experience was top tier. I have never been to Teddington but I will absolutely be back to visit One One Four. Each course was nothing like I’ve ever had before and I loved every minute of it. The staff was incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions with their rotating menu of farm to table masterpieces. Cannot recommend this place enough. The trip from London is worth every second.

Terrible experience from start to finish. We sat down at the table and waited 30 for the food to come, then we are told they forgot to register our food order.... So only after 40-50 minutes we got the first dish from the Valentine's day set menu. Apart from 2 dishes all of them were pre made, hence we didn't understand why it took them 20 minutes to serve the next dish between each course. Out of the two "freshly" cooked dishes, the lobster was massively overcooked, rock solid. The steak was better. The bar staff is also questionable... They regularly just ignore people, start chatting between each of thembfor like 15 minutes, so it's impossible to order drinks, and we even sat at the bar!!! Not coming back... Stay away from this place

i sent my daughter here for a birthday lunch this place was good the service she received was very nice, it was the female server. on the other hand the food was very nicely cooked and was nice however some of the combinations were a bit unique and were fit to a certain type of taste, not for everyone. the portions were very small she had a three course but still left hungry. the atmosphere was very nice when she was sat it was not around any other people which she appreciated however another party came in and was sat right next to her, this would normally not be an issue but the place was empty, there were around two parties on the side that we were on including hers. so she was a bit confused on why they were sat right next to her less than two feet apart. this party was also very loud and ruined her experience and they were very talkative and were a group of over 3. not sure why they were placed next to her but it was not a very nice experience. towards the end of the meal she had sat there for over 25 minutes waiting, as it was a birthday they were waiting for something related to that. they had not updated her as she were waiting to leave as her uber has arrived. we had to wait for the manager to approve something.

Very nice meal with excellent service but one wrinkle. Why should I pay extra for a cheeseboard when I didn't have a dessert? Surely the restaurant saves money by me not having a dessert? This is heightened by the bill which shows a "Dinner Dessert" at £7.00 (which I didn't have) and Cheese Board at £8.00. I know that this isn't the only restaurant that charges extra for the benefit of a cheeseboard but when you see the items laid out on the bill like that it left me feeling cheated.

Beautiful restaurant , great music .Staff very friendly and professional looking after customers however food was terrible. Worst food ever . Pastry made of goat cheese with tasteless beetroot was disgusting. Main was chewy duck with Mashrooms . Would not recommend definitely. Restaurant is lacking of water filter as tea tasted like paddle . I must mention again staff was very professional. I was very well looked after by them probably the best customer service in London I ever experienced.Food big let let down .Will not be visiting this place again .Definitely overpriced.

114 is the best neighbourhood restaurant Richmond borough. the food is carefully thought through with a seasonal rotating approach, keeping 114 exciting each time. They quite easily catered for my VG/GF partner, ensuring that she could still have the amuse bouche & desert, this was without prior warning and really impressive. Service & ambience is great.

Some very imaginitive dishes, well prepapred with agood wine list. What is not to like? The service wa svery good and all the food was fresh.

Have been to the restaurant several times and it never disappoints. Spent New Year's Eve and had a great time. The menu was delicious. We were a later sitting and the staff did seem to be running out of steam and we had slightly too long gaps between courses, but it was New Year's Eve and didn't matter.

Looking for restaurant to celebrate wife’s birthday. Never been here before but reviews sounded good so booked. Expected well cooked brasserie style food but got so much more with extra wow factor. Totally unexpected. Nice surroundings good vibe with good music which was better than background but not intrusive. Food was the star. The chef is a real talent. Had tasty amuse bouche which was unexpected plus a little gratis negroni with raspberry to start the evening. Starters were superb. Cured rainbow and brown trout celeriac remoulade cucumber and fennel foam plus a beetroot tartare with mango egg yolk tofu dressing and crispy potatoes. Two tasty delights. Both had halibut main cooked to perfection with beautiful buerre blanc and other assorted tasty delights. Finished with clementine panna cotta clementine gel honeycomb and white chocolate. Exceptional. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Made the evening even better. This place from the food perspective is on a par with the French table and Steven Edwards at the Bingham. I was thinking about going to Scott’s which is a superb building with distinctly average food at eye watering cost. Save your wallet and treat your palette at 114. Highly recommended.

We occasionally stay in Teddington and we live to eat out. We booked this as our final evening meal on a busy Friday. This is a sophisticated fine dining establishment- not Michelin starred - but serving lovely food. The service is efficient and friendly. The ambiance is that of a relaxed chill for adults, and would be a good choice for a celebration meal. We enjoyed it very much and we will definitely visit again.

I’ve never had raw oysters in my life that were so full of shells…. Service there was great though. They gave me 20% off when I reverted the problem. I wish I could have the chance to try the rest but the experience with the raw oysters stopped me from trying. I hope they’ll do better.

We normally go into London for our 6 monthly catch up with the family but this time opted to go local. Our experience of 114 was second to none - the food was absolutely exquisite, not one fault and the whole experience from start to finish was a delight. This is one place that we will be going back to regularly. final mention to our server Lily who was as good as it gets - would give 6 stars if possible.

What has happened? Has it changed ownership? Or has the business expanded too big with its sister venues in the Surbiton/Kingston area that this branch has been compromised? This used to be a smashing neighbourhood restaurant. It used to serve great food with a great atmosphere. BUT this is now the second time we have been in a row where everything has been underwhelming. Sloppy very slow service with staff walking away mid sentence. On this occasion we waited an hour for starters and then another 40 minutes for mains. Husband’s venison was inedible and had to go back for something different . My cod was cold. By the time the mains arrived we had finished the bottle of wine it took so long. Basically a rubbish Xmas meal out. When I spoke to the manager he conceded there was a problem with the venison so why serve it??? Couldn’t answer that. Portions tiny and I’m a small eater! We won’t be back unless they up their game.

I had a wonderful dining experience at One One Four Teddington. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The sides were the highlight of the meal, especially the brussels sprouts that I ordered. My husband, who usually hates brussels sprouts, ate them all with gusto. We were well taken care of by Filippo and Tish, who made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in. Max, the bartender, served us some amazing cocktails. He even created a special mocktail for me based on what I told him I liked. It was perfect. We went on a Tuesday night, which was quieter than usual, but still had a great atmosphere and good music playing. I would highly recommend One One Four to anyone who wants to enjoy a quality meal at a reasonable price. The set menu is a great deal and offers a variety of dishes to choose from. I had the beetroot cured salmon for starters and my husband had the ravioli. For the main course, I had the hake and he had the chicken breast We were both very satisfied and happy with our choices. To sum up, One One Four is a gem of a restaurant that deserves more recognition. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the drinks are creative and refreshing. It's a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself without breaking the bank. If you're looking for a new place to try in Teddington.

We were excited to hear they had a new chef, unfortunately it may of been his day off. We dined on Tuesday evening and the restaurant was very quiet. Service was very quick and service was forgetful, they never served us the mini aperitif cocktail with the bread. The food was a little disappointing I expected a boudin, a sausage as I know it to be, though was served a pressed wide shape of flaked meat, and no trace of any black pudding. The salt marsh lamb was not salt marsh lamb and was dry and chewy almost as if the meat was just reheated, apple dessert was just not good. The Pinot Noir wine they served was not the same as was stated on the wine list. Not sure we will return again standards have obviously dropped.

Excellent. Food was imaginative, original, and best of all tasted great! Superb service throughout from all the staff, and a really nice atmosphere. No stuffiness at all, yet sophisticated ambience and presentation. EDIT: had the chance to revisit a week later with a different group of colleagues. Happy to report everything was just as good. Bit of a delay with the main course, but the way the manager resolved it and reduced our bill, unprompted, was great!

I liked this restaurant. It appears very popular and was full for most of the evening. The menu is set with a fixed price for two or three courses, the choices are limited to three items per course. This type of menu is challenging as I will expect each course to be excellent; they lived up to and on the pork belly surpassed my expectations. There are some nice touches to the dining experience, the serving of a complimentary cocktail upon arrival and an amuse-bouche before the first course was a welcomed by all. The service was excellent, the waiters were always on hand and not intrusive. I won't bore you with details of our sumptuous meal, it's something that can't be described, only experienced. If you like red wine, they serve a rather tasty valpolicella ripasso.

I have been frequenting One One Four for the last few months and figured it was about time to sing their praises! I have always had such a fantastic experience here in Teddington . The manager was super welcoming, big smile and very knowledgeable. The bar tender Oliwia is next level, I could see the pride, love and care she put into whilst making our amazing cocktails, best Negroni I've ever had. Zoje was amazing and enthusiastic about the food and recommended me some awesome dishes! Bravo kitchen It’s these little attention to details which get noticed. The food was stunning. I've been to One One Four either with friends for cocktails in the past or, for many meals over the years. On both counts, the service, atmosphere and standard/quality of food or drinks are exceptional. For me personally, I prefer going on a Saturday or during the week due to the variety of the menu offered. The Sunday menu is perfect for those who love a generous Sunday roast and in mho it's superb that they offer this in a restaurant of this standard. I think the price point is pitched perfectly.

WOW!!! Absolutely wow... the staff are brilliant, the food is incredible (seasonal and locally sourced). Don't waste your time going in to London Central when you can dine locally in Teddington. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Absolutely perfect in every way.. thank you we will be back... soon!!!

Been meaning to try 114 for ages and finally made it. Dinner for 3 of us (2 courses each) including service and excluding wine came to £200. Wait staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Food was magnificent - beautiful steaks, delicious sides and exquisite deserts. Well thought out amuse bouche and pre-desert. Accompanying wine (Valpolicella Ripasso) was lovely. Noticed the kitchen was well-run and spotless. Highly recommended as a dinner treat. Thank you.

We went on Sunday 16th for lunch. From start to finish we loved everything about 114! Starters were outstanding so tasty and quite unique. The roast was up to usual standard and portion’s generous. Went for our wedding anniversary. Warmly greeted and at our table, had a card from the restaurant wishing us a happy anniversary! Food is set menu. Appertifs, amouse bouche were outstanding. As the menu does change I won’t go into what specifically we ate, but it was outstanding! Finished it off with some lovely Rose and a surprise anniversary dessert - courtesy of the house. 114 is a class act. Long may it continue to be the best restaurant on the High Street. This place is simply the best. At time of writing it's around 45 pounds for three courses. Same price as the rubbish chain restaurants pretty much. However, the food is almost Michelin star quality. The service is amazing, cocktails and drinks fab and all in a relaxed ambience. I hope they never try and go Michelin as I'm not sure it would be the same and I don't think that's their ambition. Such a great place!

Having lived in Teddington for a while, we for some reason put off going to one one four, and boy did we wish we hadn’t waited. The whole team go over and above to make every visit special, for everyone. There’s a real care and sense of responsibility that means whether it’s the balance of the cocktail or presentation of a plate, nothing goes without love. I’ve now been to one one four a good few times, and can safely say I’ve never eaten anything that didn’t taste sublime. With a constantly varying menu, it means there’s always something you can find you like – and a particular shout out to the team for always making the vegetarian option tasty and filling, rather than an afterthought bolted onto a meat based menu, which means that in our case with one veggie and one not, both of us can enjoy eating out. Unlike some other reviews, I’d strongly disagree on value, and say that pound for pound, One one four delivers over and above it’s price point. Having worked round the world I’ve had my fair share of ‘fancy NYC/Mayfair’ dining, and I’d take one one four every time. Seasonal, well put together ingredients, with a bit of (and not too much) jazz to make it exciting mean you’re going to have a locally owned, cared for place to eat in modern surroundings that still manage to feel intimate despite a decent amount of covers. I’d strongly recommend getting a taxi to eat here, as the cocktail menu never lets you stop with just one, and the Bone Idyll ‘sister’ distillery provides a constantly changing choice of great things to drink.

Very disappointing. £150 for 4 mains, served cold, plus one dessert and only one drink. Way over priced and couldn’t even serve food hot. Cold coffee after dinner. Poor service, too, 20 mins seated before being offered drinks and no second offer ever followed. Not...
