Found a curry we finally enjoyed! The food arrived quickly and had lovely flavours. Would 100% order again. The only criticism is that it could've been a bit hotter as it arrived warm. Korma and Tikka were lovely.

We had table booked for 8 , only tables left was 2 chairs facing wall or table by the door , we chose the wall , You can take your own drink , no alcohol licence Food prices were on the high side Meal was £122 for 4 mains , 3 rice , 3 Sides , 2 breads and some soft drinks Food arrived very quick after ordering a and they was not piping hot

Never had a bad meal here, the food is unbelievable whether you’re dining in or taking away. The atmosphere is great no matter who you’re with! Everyone who works here is so lovely, they always remember me and are so personable, will be back soon!

Good atmosphere and good you can take your own drinks, as pricing of items reflect higher price than other places Really disappointed with the tasteless food though. Last time we went there was about 4 years ago and was run my older members of the family, for which it was so so tasty but alas, extremely disappointed with the tasteless food 🥴 Had a nice time though but won’t be going again as other places so much more tasteful and not full of sugary sauces

Hands down, the best Indian restaurant in town. Service is always good and the food is amazing. The owner is a guy called Sam and if you’re lucky to catch him, he will make your night. Always helpful and makes sure his customers are happy. I couldn’t advise enough to go to this restaurant,

The food is nice but the portions of rice are very small. A vegetable biryani is like an ice cream scoop worth of rice. It’s like the rice is on rations. The papadums are £5 for 2 which is very expensive for papadums. Other than that we had a pleasant time here but probably won’t go back.

Lovely tasty food. The special rice was amazing, lovely flavours and cooked to perfection. The Lamb Madras was also tasty with lovely flavours, tender and great portion size. Perfect service, the restaurant was busy with a party of people and the service was still very good, the food arrived quickly and hot. The reason for the 4 star rating, this restaurant unfortunately doesn’t sell alcohol however they allow you to bring your own which for many customers’ is a good thing because it can save you ££££s. For me I wanted a cobra beer but I wouldn’t let this put me off as for next time I will bring a bottle. The decor of the establishment is modern, fresh and clean. Friendly staff and definitely will visit again.

Everything was really good. The staff were lovely and the place has a cute family run vibe and welcoming atmosphere. We very much enjoyed our meal and felt it was reasonably priced. Will be returning soon.

Best curry I've ever had. Brilliant staff. I'm now a regular. Not to be missed Update a few years later: just to confirm......still amazing. This place is a proper gem.

Always a very friendly welcome when booking a table or at the restaurant. Interesting menu with some unusual ideas, like grated cheese on top of a chicken curry. All dishes well presented and tasty, representing good value. I have never had a bad dish much less a bad meal here.

Have been ordering food from Onamika for years. Definitely my favourite Indian restaurant. Food is delicious.

Enjoyed our meal. 4 of us had a selection of main meals and all dishes and sides were delicious. Friendly service busy restaurant. Byo alcohol worked well too. Parking available outside.

I have been here before with my family and absolutely love it- beautiful restaurant and perfect atmosphere for all occasions!!! This time I was craving popadoms so ordered 2 for collection, when I arrived to collect, the boss said not to worry about paying and gave me more than what I had ordered as a kind gesture. He was so kind and talkative, So so happy with my popadoms and big pot of sauce! Much better than shop bought and the owner really made my day. Thank you!

It's a small restaurant so can easily feel packed, especially post pandemic. But very quickly, that feeling is lost once you encounter its ambience, friendly staff, delicious food, and the pre lock-down company of friends. A great little curry house and a lovely evening.

Ordered a takeaway from here after several recommendations by others! Food arrived and all looked unappealing. Taste was all bland with little flavour apart from curry leaves. Sorry won’t be ordering again.

Third visit to Onamika this evening with my in-laws and they were just impressed with the food as we were on our first visit. Tasty, filling and tender meat. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly, even remembered our baby from a year ago. :)

Fantastic restaurant, staff are amazing and there is an excellent range of traditional and newer dishes. Since finding Onamika the "Devils Advocate" Dish has been my goto curry for the past year. I can honestly say I have never had even an average dish from here, its all been great.

This restaurant is without a doubt the best contemporary Indian cuisine in the area (and further). So many different dishes to your usual ‘tikka masala’. Friendly, chatty staff and owner who always makes time for you. Fresh and hot yummy food.

Food is amazing and the restaurant staff even better. They care for the community and Sam is an absolute gem !

Very dissapointed with food tonight. Expensive and not as expected. My usual favourite dish Butter chicken had large pieces of chicken with no real flavour. Bombay potatoes and aubergine dishes were also flavourless. We have had the Biryani dishes which have been good, but won't be ordering these dishes again 😒

We went for a meal with friends and had a wonderful evening. Food was delicious, staff super likeable and a lovely friendly feel to the restaurant. You can take your own alcohol too and they supply wine coolers. Will be returning very soon.

We have ordered a few times from here and the meal has always been tasty and consistently good. The gentleman on the telephone taking the order is very professional and accommodating. The food is always served hot and on time. Although my cucumber riatha was in-between hot dishes in the bag on the last order so I had to put it in the freezer to cool the yoghurt back down. I have had many authentic dishes and these are on par of not better. The meat is good quality and will definitely not hesitate to recommend. Will definitely be regulars!

Went with a friend on a Sunday night - the place was quite busy with a good atmosphere. Service friendly and the food great plus well priced. Despite it being quite busy there was no rush and we had a great time. The bring your own alcohol wasn't awkward at all - I'd never been to a restaurant with that policy but it was fine and as we brought out our bottle of wine a wine cooler was provided. A lovely restaurant and recommended.

This is the best Indian Restaurant i have been to. The food was excellent. Staff & facilities were spot on. Nothing was to much trouble, and the staff were happy to make any changes to our order. Wonderful experience would highly recommend

Friendly staff and excellent service, the food portion sizes are just right. The food itself is some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten, full of flavour and freshly cooked. The lamb was cooked to perfection, no grissel or chewy bits.

Used to order from here when we used to live in Barnehurst over ten years ago and drove past with my wife late this afternoon and found it being open and said we need to order from there again. Long story short, we searched the internet for the menu, called them to the delight of them delivering to where we live now. Called back and ordered and was told an hour-ish for the delivery and mentioned we used to come all those years ago and he remembered me and described me from just telling him where I used to live. Now that IS DEFINITELY fantastic customer service and a mega great memory lol Food arrived within thirty minutes so even better and dished up and both ate the lot.. Absolutely fantastic experience and the food was out of this world and definitely one to go back to once again, time and time again..... Once fully open from pandemic, a visit to the actual restaurant will be made for a sit down meal and catch up with the owner. Thanks once again Onamika, glad to have you back in our lives ❤️💜💖

We have been ordering from Onamika for about 5 years now and they have never failed to deliver the best Indian food in town! I am of Indian heritage and I can say with confidence that their food is like traditional home-cooked Indian food. Our favourite is the garlic chilli chicken and lamb bhoona, but we also love the biryanis. This take away is always our go to place when we order Indian food in and around Bexleyheath/Erith. Also, customer service has always been brilliant. Thank you team Onamika.

Ordered tonight, paid by card over the phone, polite staff, was told food would be delivered between 45mins to an hour, food was delivered in 35mins. When delivered the food was pipping hot and was so nice. Onimika spice is a brilliant restaurant when your allowed to visit and takeaway and delivery is excellent all in perfect condition. Would highly recommend this place.

Excellent food , friendly and polite service Having eaten in many times and enjoyed regular take aways too, I decided to treat my very choosy sister ( a great chef ) and my well travelled nephew ( also a food critic) . We had tandoori shashlick , tandoori chicken and a korai shabzi with pilau rice and various naan popadoms and mixed pickles , all dishes were plentiful and tasty and all tasted unique My sister is a very difficult one to please and gave it full marks ! As did my nephew . They work so hard here and are always helping those less fortunate and giving away freebies ! I’ve never ever had a single complaint - well only being too full up !! The best Indian takeaway /restaurant by far. Nothing is too much trouble for Samad and the team. The food is always fresh, arrives hot and they will make you anything not on the menu upon request. The service from ordering to delivery is always excellent. Give it a try if you have not already done so

Amazing food! Usually go for a Korma and mushroom rice but they kindly suggested a passanda with medium spice which was absolutely lovely. Nanns are nice and neat samosas are lovely... will definitely order from here again would fully recommend

WOW.... awesome food. Only started going there since the refurb. But the food is tip top. Try the Sagorana medium to hot. In fact forget the menu ask what they recommend. You won't be disappointed

Disgusting and owfull food. Used to be very good in this area but went down hill now.

We ordered the meal for a delivery it was an hour & half coming i had to ring to find out were it was and it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time and for that price i expected better.

NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR!!!Came here with family ordered starters aswell as mains...mains arrived erm we ordered starters manager in background says oh wrong table (now bearing in mind we actually ordered the same for our main) starters finally arrived... absolute rubbish...we then waited nearly 25 mins for our (reheated) mains to arrive.Only for them to forgot most of the chappati that some of us had ordered...I waited nearly 15 mins by this time my dish was stone cold... They came out with the chappati i said my dish is cold he said well what do you want me to do about it...erm reheat it for the 3 time...l he took the dish in huff. Anyway food was disgusting....how anyone can say the food is great is beyond me...all the dishes were red in colour everything tasted exactly the same regardless of ordering several different dishes... People that live in that area or come into it and say best restaurant around obviously have no taste whatsoever! have no idea what real authentic Indian food is and that different dishes have different flavoursWILL NEVER BE COMING HERE AGAIN

Hadn't booked a table but they happy to accommodate us. Very very busy so had to give it a go. Can see why. Food was fast and very very nice. Staff were lovely. With the current eat out for half price you couldn't make it much cheaper yourself. Take your own alcohol drinks. Coke and water available but unfortunately wasn't able to order a coffee

Ate here last night with our friends who are regular dine in and takeaway customers. The food is served fresh and hot, the best sag paneer I have had. Varied menu with some new choices. Staff are friendly and lively despite being extremely busy. No alcohol licence but will provide glasses etc for alcohol bought in. There are several shops nearby to purchase drinks. They sell soft drinks and water so no outside soft drink purchases to be taken in. A small restaurant so booking is essential at anytime.A great eating out experience in a lively atmosphere serving top class food.Highly recommended

Was taken to this fine restaurant last night my a fiend who lives local. Top notch food and staff, despite having to travel for 40 minutes will visit again.As others have said the restaurant does not have an alcohol license, so take your own.The dishes are a pound or so dearer than my usual restaurant in London, however the fact that you take your own alcohol still works out reasonable.There is a Sainsbury's 30 yards away where you can buy beer and wine etc.Well worth a visit.

Most pathetic Indian food that I ever tasted in my entire life. Naans were full of coconut filling. Vegetable dishes is full of coconut filling. A typical Bangladeshi restaurant operating in name of Indian restaurant.

The Onamika is a very friendly, small family run restaurant. The extensive menu has a very wide choice of Indian dishes containing all the usual favourites plus some different, more unusual choices. They do not have a alcohol license, but you can take your own drinks for which they will supply glasses and bottle openers as required. They do sale soft drinks plus coffee and tea. The restaurant is quite small, so booking at weekends is recommended. The food is always well cooked and consistently good. I have never had a bad meal here.I have visited The Onamika Restaurant many many times and long before, when it was just a takeaway. I thought it was about time I wrote a review about one of my favourite restaurants! To sum up, I would highly recommend trying the Onamika.

Have visited this restaurant on many occasions as you will have seen from my previous review. Myself and my Partner visited here for our annual Valentine's meal and although my food was still lovely my Partner said that his wasn't as nice as he had previously had. He had a chicken dansak and we were both a bit confused as to why he had a lump of potato in there! Another thing, I realise that restaurants try to get as many covers as they can, in particular on a night like Valentine's but it was particularly off putting for my Partner, to be asked if we wanted poppadums even before I had had a chance to sit down at the table as I was in the ladies! It felt all a bit rushed and not really like a 'night out'. I think Sam needs to get back to front of house although I do understand the reasoning behind him being in the kitchen.
