Olive Oil & Oregano in Greenwich

Hi guys - this Olive oil & Oregano has been taken over by another chain for some time now - Way before the first national lock down - so it may be, that chain is what you are reviewing; as the signs and food are very similar. Last i went there was with the new owners and the food and service was awful as is described by others, on here.

Cuando pedí giroscopios, ella dijo de inmediato ‘¡No giroscopios, solo souvlaki! "Aunque mi prometido pidió giroscopios, dije que estaba bien. Solía pedir moussaka antes, así que lo hice. Pregunté cortésmente si puedo comer ensalada en lugar de papas fritas y la respuesta fue ‘No, ¡tienes que pagar por separado por la ensalada! "Le expliqué que en todas mis visitas podría reemplazarlo. Preguntó a la señora mayor que tenía delante (probablemente su gerente de línea) y nuevamente la respuesta fue "No". ¡Todo el tiempo mirándome como si no le importara si yo ordenara o me fuera! ¿Es ese el servicio al cliente que usted va más allá para los clientes que pagan sus facturas? ? ? ? ? No puedo creer que no puedan ofrecer sustituciones. No puedo creer que no puedas interactuar en absoluto con los clientes. ¡Nunca más! ¡Evita este lugar con personal grosero, porciones pequeñas y moussaka seca!

RUDE STAFF, very TINY PORTIONS compared to prices, not even added some salad dressing when requested but just answered not professionally.

Así que estoy ansioso por algo (con suerte) auténtica comida griega cuando acabo de regresar de Limassol. Pedimos la hamburguesa de pollo que viene con papas fritas, me dijeron que era una espera de 8 minutos, 8. 70) No tengo prisa, así que esto está bien y en este punto asumes que lo cocinan fresco, de ahí la espera de 8 a 10 minutos en lugar de tenerlo sentado un rato como KFC al lado. Solo 2 personas en la cola, por lo que no están demasiado ocupados. Hasta ahora tan bueno. . .La comida llegó después de aproximadamente 16 minutos, todavía no es un problema, sin embargo, la hamburguesa de pollo no es pollo, no sé qué era y estaba un poco desconcertado. Era una especie de papilla, sustancia esponjosa que secretaba mucha humedad desde el centro y perforaba la superficie que estaba muy carbonizada. El sabor era bueno ya que era salado y carbonizado pero muy confuso. Debe hacerse MUCHO más claro en el letrero de que es sustituto de pollo / pollo reconstituido / puré de pollo con sal, etc., solo por claridad. Si dices que algo es pollo, entonces significa pechuga de pollo magra a la hamburguesa de pollo de KFC. Dejé la mitad ya que comenzaba a expandirse en mi estómago y sabía realmente desagradable tan pronto como desapareció el atractivo salado a la parrilla. Inicialmente estábamos emocionados de ver este lugar de comida en Westfield, ya que parece el mismo menú que Sizzled at Bluewater, que siempre es fabuloso. La pita allí es excepcional y las papas fritas están separadas y absolutamente deliciosas. Sin embargo, aquí el pan es solo una envoltura de tortilla calentada en la parrilla y ponen las papas fritas dentro de la envoltura (???) Lo cual no tiene sentido y terminas con puré de papa. El pollo también estaba quemado y seco. El servicio de atención al cliente tampoco fue excelente: esperamos 10 minutos para que finalizara el proceso mientras el servidor no hacía nada más que servir. Evita e ir a Bluewater en su lugar. Además el estacionamiento es gratis!

Probably the best choice for Fast Food in the area and one that we’ve overlooked many times whilst at Westfield. Wasn’t greasy, good sized portions and not too expensive. The side of Halloumi was a bit cheap though considering you can buy 3 x packs of halloumi in the supermarket for that price and to only receive 2 slices was a bit of a push. Other than that no complaints and would revisit!

Ordered the pork and chicken gyros, mixed grill, salad, dips. Overall I would say the food was ok, the gyros was spot on, well seasoned and cooked, the chips and salad nice even if the portion size was small.

Was our first visit to Mediterranean grill as we was hoping we remind us about the food which we try in holidays however from the service which was super fast ,don't ask any questions'' to flavor was ok,nothing special,food needs to be more heat up especially(lamb shank).

The whole ordering system was very confusing and a little misleading. The fries were inside the pita not what we were expecting. The pita was different then we are used too but good.

Visité el aceite de oliva y el orégano por primera vez el Viernes Santo después de un día con mi familia, paramos en Stratford para una comida, pensé que solo estaría tomando una papa de chaqueta ya que tengo una intolerancia al gluten, pero para mi Delicia descubrí el aceite y el orégano, la comida era deliciosa y el tamaño de la porción era bueno para el precio. El pollo estaba cocinado a la perfección y la ensalada estaba bien vestida. La comida me llevó de vuelta a Grecia. Una comida muy agradable, sin gluten mucho gusto. Los visitaré en mi próximo viaje a Stratford

Carne buona, tuttavia non mi è piaciuta la pulizia e i prezzi sono leggermente esagerati per la qualità che offre il locale in generale. Non tornerei, ma per una volta si può fare.

There was a queue to start with and no one at the registers actually taking orders but they were more than happy to keep chatting amongst themselves. when i finally got to the counter, the lady just asked me 'what do you want' So i told her and she said pay now and then I waited for 15 minutes to get my one wrap. When i got it , the meat was so dry. It definiately wasnt fresh as the women took it out of the a cointainer. The chips within were cold and the salad had been days old. Absoluately disgusting.

Siempre visita aquí fue en Westfield Stratford. La comida es estupenda y las opciones vegetarianas. Solían incluir bebidas de botella gratis con ciertas comidas, pero ahora cobran 1 extra y algunos de los precios han cambiado. Sigue siendo buena comida aunque. Lástima que no tengan su propio restaurante en lugar de estar en el comedor de comidas inferior, que siempre está ocupado. Los fines de semana son peores porque es difícil encontrar asientos.

Really good giros, some of the best i ate so far. Medium ranged prices. Pleasent and helpfull staff .

Si vous voulez manger méditerranéen c'est ici qu'il faut se rendre. Grande variété proposée (sandwich grecque, différentes salades, plats chaud...). Le service est très rapide et le plat que j'ai commandé était très bon. Les prix sont très abordables.

Au milieu du centre commercial de Westfield Stratford, cet endroit vous propose un repas rapide à prix correct. Des plats variés, gyros, salades,... Une bonne alternative au milieu des fast food qui l'entoure.

Brilliant value had half chicken and salad.chicken was moist and plenty .salad variety good.cold drinks only .no tea or coffee.

Was not expecting much from this place but pleasantly surprised. We had a chicken souvlaki which came with chips (bonus) in a late night kebab style wrap. Delicious. A little heavy on the raw onions, but v tasty. Quite reasonably priced too.

The food here is tasty and good but the staff are soooooo rude and seem irritated to serve people - I have been quite a few times so it isn't just someone on an off-day - come on people! just be nice!

Situé dans le court food de l'immense centre commercial Westfield, il y a parfois beaucoup de monde mais pour ma part, chaque fois que j'y suis allé il était assez tard le soir et peu d'attente donc. La nourriture est bonne, les gyros ont du gout, le hamburger aussi, j'y suis allé plusieurs fois et je n'ai pas été déçu vu le prix c'est un très bon rapport qualité prix.

I ordered a halloumi wrap, I watched the griddle chef squeeze raw chicken in skewers then pick up bread without washing his hands. This is so dangerous and when I told the management her attitude was " this is a meat restaurant we handle meat" really.... really dam you need to sack your female manager and the stocky grill chef before they get you closed down.

First time my husband had been to this restaurant outlet and he was amazed at the varied choose of meats and vegetarian options.

Multiple selections are available including for vegetarians. The chicken donor was served with pita bread, salad and fries. It was nice to have some green on the plate and the pita bread was fresh and tasty even though the chicken was a bit dry.

Food was pretty tasteless, chicken was overcooked and under seasoned..... best thing on the plate was the salad and chips. First time I tried this and would not bother again.

Absolutely shocking service today,

I had a gyros salad which was gorgeous - highly recommended if you don't want the usual chips. Food is freshly made, with the meat being carved and put on your plate. The food was amazing although I can't say the same about the staff. The guy who served me never broke into a smile and spoke the minimum necessary. I appreciate it's a 'fast food' restaurant but a greeting with a smile goes a long way in my book.

For 9 pounds you can have 1 Gyros (meat at your choice + fries + salad of tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and bell pepper) and 1 Soft Drink 500 ml (Coke, Sprite etc).

Had mixed gyros, 3 stringy pieces of kebab meat, over cooked, tough and so thin my wife thought that they were potato skins. The only thing in the tray with any taste was the tomatoes! Wouldn’t recommend.

Made a change from burgers or fried chicken. It's fast food with a bit more taste and a bit healthier.

Really really good food and lots to choose from. Such a shame we were served by a unhelpful and rude member of staff. Yes it was busy but there is, in my opinion, no reason to be so rushed at the point of ordering.

Went here today for the first time - will definitely be going back! Chose a pitta style bread with pork (you can have sliced meat from the spit or kebab style meat), salad, sauce and also filled with chips! It was delicious. They have various meat and salad options, including some healthy eating dishes.

Well being from the food court it wasn’t that bad.

Very tasty main meals or snacks freshly cooked in front of you. Service prompt and cheerful. Good selection of Greek food. We particularly enjoyed the chicken and pork souvlaki. The salads are tasty. As it is situated in the busy Westfield Stratford, it can be a bit difficult finding a table.

A group of us were shopping in Merry Hill last Saturday afternoon & having walked all round the different food outlets, I chose this one.

Buena comida, buen servicio, un poco caro, pero en general es bueno; yo creo que en el futuro voy a tratar de nuevo este restaurante.

This was a while ago but I recently passed this place at Westfield and remembered my horrible experience. I attempted to order at the counter but the staff were acting like we didn't exist. All the other people around us were able to place order and our 'excuse me's' fell on deaf ears. After 10 minutes of waiting we left. Not sure why we were not served, I always wondered if it was due to racism because all the white people got served but we didn't. It wasn't busy either, this was slightly before the lunch rush.

Every time I go to Stratford on a shopping trip I end up eating here. It's cheap and good quality. Usually very quick (even on the weekend). Love the gyros chicken wrap!!!

OK, it's a fast food joint in the food court at Westfield shopping centre - so the view over the Med is noticeably lacking!However, the Greek influenced food is fresh and tasty giving the option of a mid-shop snack that isn't either burgers and chips or a sandwich.I'd go back again.

I think stars have to be taken in context. This is a Greek kebab stall in effect not a Michelin restaurant but I love the authenticity of the food and you know just saying Yaisass or Kalimera might get you a big smile. I love the wraps for lunch. Just need a nice cold Mythos to go with.Efkharisto!!

I ordered sandwiches and water for an event at Queen Mary/Barts and the London University for 80 people.We got a great deal and the sandwiches were absolutely delicious.Sahad and his colleague were great, they delivered the sandwiches to us and then came to collect the trays after the event. They even gave us extra sandwiches and water!I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting catering for any event! Definitely worth it!!

Popped in to lakeside today and my 8 year insisted we eat whilst there so I let her choose. She turned her nose up at all the usual fast food joints, burgers and pizza and chose Olive Oil & Oregano! I'm so pleased she did, it made a great change to be able to grab a bite to eat fairly quickly but have something really well cooked and tasty. I had chicken and rice, yum and daughter had chicken and fries which had the most delicious seasoning. Chicken was lovely and moist and very tasty. The restaurant was really clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Hubby is now looking forward to a visit and I just wish you would open in Brentwood as it would be a lovely addition here!

Abrupt manners from the gentleman behind the counter, dry meat in the gyros, bottle of fizz plonked on the tray with not even a paper cup, all at nearly a tenner! You'd probably be better off at the adjacent KFC. I did not enjoy lunch, shall not return, and cannot recommend this eatery.

Food has hair and they deliver a wrong order, like I order a pork girous and they give me kalamaki pork the girous theres no taste like no salt at all,

Avec ma femme nous sommes partis dans le Wastfield Stratford où nous avons mangé plusieurs fois dans ce restaurant ou la nourriture est très bonne surtout la pita avec la viande de gyros excellent. Sinon le menu gyros mélange a moins de 10£ étais sans plus.

They aren't lying about the olive oil, swim around in it a while you'll find the food. I'm a Mediterranean food fan, mostly because of the hummus, Tahini and falafels. Incidentally they have none if these things. This place is just another crap kebab shop with grease being the main ingredient posing as healthy food.

Fiquei hospedada em um hotel localizado neste shopping que fica junto da estação de metrô Westfield, estação de trem homônima e terminal de ônibus, o que é muito conveniente, embora exija pegar o metrô todo dia para ir ao centro de Londres (não mais que 15, 20 minutos). Comi várias vezes neste restaurante na praça de alimentação. Atendimento bacana, preço razoável, comida simpática com boas opções com vegetais. Atenção apenas para o horário de funcionamento do shopping, muito diferente daquele com o qual estamos acostumados no Brasil.

I bought a mixed gyros , pork , chicken & doner, comes with salad , pitta bread and chips , ( dips are extra ) best gyros I've tasted , but pricey, cost almost £10 with a small dip .Would defiantly buy one again though

So I've been there for lunch a couple of times and I absolutely loved it as I used to live in Cyprus (greek island) and I love and miss greek food very much. The girl who took my order seemed like shes new and didnt know what exactly she was doing. Thats ok as it has happened to me as well with new jobs. The ordering process took a little longer than usual, which once again is ok by me even though i was in a rush. When i got my food I was all excited to eat (mix souvlaki and chicken +extra haloumi), but for my surprise it tasted awful. It tasted like it was a couple of days old. The bread, the meat, the lettuce. It just didnt taste right, fresh, decent at least, what about a Greek flavor. I would have thrown it away if i had more time to buy something else for lunch. Very dissapointed, I'd probably not go there ever again as much as id like to and as much as i love greek food. Sad.Lakeside branch if you're wondering.

Ok... I HATE Stratford Westfield, and this is the first time I ever ate in the lower food court. .. it is also the last.I asked for the vegan platter or something like that... hats off to Oil & Oregano for having a vegan option ... I'm not vegan but I am veggie. Anyhow, the content shoul be ok... aubergine, courgette, 1/4 of a red pepper, 1/2a tomato, mushrooms and bread. Sad that it was cold... and clearly had been sitting around for a while.

Fantastic and authentic Greek fast food. Very tasty pork souvlaki and gyros, a million tines better than the dry, tasteless food offered by the typical UK kebab shops. It is rather expensive but definitely worth it as it's just like eating in Greece!

visited there, menu appeared to be straight forward but as I didn't know what each item meant I asked the guy to explain.. He didn't really explain it easily to me. So I ordered a wrap with chicken donner meat. Was asked if I wanted Taziki with my wrap as the guy said it came with it, I said yes, thinking it was free as he said it came with it. my wrap was meant to be £5.50 the guy then said to me that's £6.49!! confussed I asked why he said they charge for the Taziki ! I said I thought you said it came with it. I then asked for a refund he shrugged his shoulders and said he cant. He called manager over and they agreed to give me my £1.00 refund!! (principle).. The wrap was absolutely tasteless apart from a really over salty taste. 2 bits of old tomato and ropey old onion, and soggy chips yuk!!! Not very nice at all. Had the cue not been so big I would have asked for full refund. My daughter had the chicken skewer wrap, the meat was pink and under cooked!! we left most of it.. we just wanted to get out of the shopping centre as it was so crowded and hot. The tables in the food court are absolutely filthy and unhygienic, food on the floor. people pushing and shoving, trying to find a table is like looking for a needle in a haystack!! as we went out side we discovered a really lovely looking greek restaurant which looked like they served proper greek food. next time this will be our first stop. Avoid this rip off revolting place.

We came across this restaurant whilst out shopping at Lakeside. As we were looking the nice girl who was serving asked if we wanted a menu to look at. My wife has certain allergies and the girl was very helpful. The food was very fresh with good flavour. Was a decent price for the food and was very filling. Only overprice was the soft drinks but this is same for most restaurants. The food is Greek based kebabs and salads and wraps Would recommend this place.

Esta un poco alejado, pero vale la pena el viaje hasta allá.. el sabor es único, iria las veces que sean necesarias. Los Gyros, estaban deliciosos, el aderezo de yogurt, las ensaladas, el queso, las aceitunas. Simplemente delicioso!

Visited here on way to Olympic stadium, the food was served quickly and was absolutely gorgeous. We had mixed gyros and chicken souvlaki. Would definitely eat here again

Walking from Stratford to Stratford International rail station takes you through the huge Westfield Shopping Centre. Stop half way and feast on some lovely Mediterranean grub. Colourful, tasty and fast!

Fantastic authentic Greek food, Souvlaki was beautiful. Can't wait to go back for more!. Nice variety and amazing value, all with pleasant service.

i like Mediterranean food especially Greek more olive oil ! place is nice and very eye catchy ! as a taste see getting better for sure ! it is less expensive souvlaki in soho and portions are way bigger and better .at least you can eat and you feel you have decent food ! PRICES can be adjustable i think good idea !!!

Nice food nothing special stands out . More expensive than other food outlets nearby. I don't mind paying extra for quality but the quality wasn't better and the portions average.

After all the fat is this kebab, warning have a few drinks first, they also charge £1 for sauce!!!!!!

I like these better than the real Greek, very good service , quick hot fresh food, we had two pork gyros meal deals with drinks and dips , all for £18.79. could not ask for more or better, well done.

Really good quality meet. Fast service and friendly staff! I had a portion of pork gyros which comes with Greek salad pita bread and chips. Also the portion comes with a free 500ml drink. Price is 8.90 which is really good comparison to other Greek places that they charge 9 pounds for a pita wrap. Totally recommend!

It was a bit more expensive compared to other food outlets in the same food court but it was very quick service and the food was nice and very filling. Went for the mixed grill Souvlaki and would have that again.

I went to dine briefly at the Olive Oil & Oregano during the busy post-Christmas / January Sales period in Stratford....Very pleased I did...Olive Oil & Oregano can be found on the ground floor besides the very boring and generic multinationals and 'competitors' such as KFC and McDonald's etc....Therefore for those more adventurous amongst you, who want a little slice of Greece, this is clearly a no-brainer....Before ordering at the counter, I saw a long snaking and meandering que, and thought I would be in it forever...However service was very prompt and efficient....I opted for a pork gyros....The bread was deliciously light, soft and fluffy, the pork thinly sliced, succulent and moist....The fries and salad within the wrap/gyros complimented the flavours really well; and for £4.20 it was a steal...I would have given 5 stars if the seasoning was slightly tweaked...Gyros required a light sprinkling of sea salt on the pork and salad, and sauce just a little bit of spiciness to add that extra 'oomph'....All in all though, certainly worth giving Olive Oil & Oregano a quick visit....Your stomach will thank you...

I really enjoyed the visit and the food was lovely! The only problem was the staffs attitude wasn't great, I had to clean my own table and I had an upset stomach an hour later after my meal. So overall it was ok. Would I return? Yeah I probably will...

This is easily the best Greek gyros in London. True Greek flavours, good quality of meat and service.I actually had one at the restaurant and then took away another 2 - Yes, it's that good, and yes I had 3 in the same day.

Best chicken gyros in london, i absulately love it.I usually make an excuse to go to westfield so i can have this , our shopping trips always ends up here.Only downside is the small portions, but 2 pitta gyros can sort that out for me :)

had lunch at the Westfield Stratford branch. Maybe not totally authentic greek but close enough for me. Good tasty, healthy food.

Ok, you can get better Gyros in Greece. But this is the closest I have tasted so far in the UK. Not donner. Not something resembling Greek gyros. The real thing. Plus a few other good dishes. Can get pretty crowded and if you are late the pork gyros may run out and you end up with choices of chicken gyros or beef donner (which is actually better than it sounds)

Nothing Greek here except the pitta bread.Gyros is tasteless and you can't feel the difference between pork and children.The souvlaki is not well made.Maybe I was unlucky, I might be wrong but I've been here for a few times.If you want Greek food go to Greece.

The best Greek fats food you can get in the UK . They offer proper Greek food the portions are small . The food is very nice and the prices are good.Good pork gyro :)

I'm so annoyed with this place right now. I came here for fast food which took over 20 minutes despite food being cooked already and on display. Then I get it to my work place to eat and the chicken bled. I have photos. Avoid this place. It was expensive for the tiny portion too.
