Good food friendly staff order food directly for takeaway

Always looks closed and unappealing. Thought we'd give it a go and tried to order but was told they were far too busy for our custom and advised we should pre-order in future. Attempted to pre-order the following week and was once again told they were far too busy for our custom despite following their advice. So haven't actually sampled the food or atmosphere so can't comment on that but the service is a bit of a shambles so don't intend to. No wonder it always looks so empty and closed.

The food was delicious, as a vegetarian i enjoyed it immensely,the customer service was exceptional, the person dealing with my request went out of their way to call me back with alternative suggestions after what I was going to order was unavailable, would highly recommend this restaurant and would give10 stars if possible. Made an online order first time trying this restaurant. When calling to see where my order was I was shouted at and had tge phone put down on me. When the food finally arrived it was cold and of poor quality. My son found a hair in his salad. In all honesty I chucked ot in the bin. I will never order from there again!!

We had a meal at the Olive Garden on Valentine's night and it was superb, great service and really good value for money. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food tasted good as well.

This has to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. It was so cold we all had to sit with our coats on all night. I know it was -11 outside but when the front door was opened it was actually warmer. We were a large party and took up the whole restaurant. There was no vodka, no Prosecco and one of our party had to go next door to buy her own tonic water. Shocking!!!! The food is supposed to be Greek. As someone who has spent a lot of time in Greece and eaten a lot of food there, the food was disgusting and certainly bore no resemblance to any Greek food I have ever eaten. It is such a shame as I have visited this restaurant before and had a pleasant evening.

Table of 10. Not 100% on the food. Some dishes a bit dry I'm told. Nothing was actually sent back... Desserts were very nice. Decor is lacking to make more cosy atmosphere. Have to say the service was excellent. No other customers all night, suprising as it was a Friday. Owner needs to step up a bit. We were a bit disappointed.

Myself and 3 friends tried this restaurant after hearing some good reviews. It’s a very basic decor and interior, nothing fancy but what they lack in ambience, they certainly make up for in the quality of the food and the service. The owner could not have been more attentive and constantly checked we were satisfied with everything. The prices are very reasonable too, excellent value for money! Me and my friends will be going back for sure!

Ordered online - salmon was completely burnt. Shame that for the sake of 2-3 quid, they've lost a customer (or few)...

I tried this restaurant with my husband on a Saturday, we walked in after booking a table. The restaurant was empty apart from 1 table which we thought was strange being a Saturday night. We asked for a Kleftiko which we both really wanted. To be told we only have what's on the menu! Strange a Greek restaurant without Kleftiko. We made our excuses and left. Don't know what the food was like because we didn't stay. There was no atmosphere. We won't be returning unless the restaurant changes the menu and livens up this place.

Really lovely food, we shared humous and feta and Turkish sausage to start then mixed kebab and chicken in creamy sauce followed by tiramisu and coffees. It was all very nice with great friendly service

My family and I went here and it was the most relaxing restaurant I've ever been to in my life! The waiters and chefs were all amazing, we had bread galore! The chef gave one of the members in our party my potatoes and gave me chips instead, but was SO kind about it and went back to the kitchen and brought out a giant plate of potatoes! Truly an amazing Greek restaurant. We went on Sunday and for one started and a main it was only £12.99!!! AMAZING

From the point of ordering to the point of delivery, everything ran smoothly. Bilal was very kind and accommodating and even let us add to the order after we had put it through. The food was enjoyed by all 11 staff and were very complementary and most rated 9 out of 10. Portion sizes were plentiful and many couldn't finish them all. We would order from here again and highly recommend to friends and family.

Our friends brought us to this restaurant. The food was amazing and fresh, I really liked the hummus. The staff were attentive and polite. We stayed until the place closed and had a fantastic time. I would totally recommend this place to anyone. You can buy alcoholic beverages at this restaurant.

Just had a delivery and was lovely. I googled best Mediterranean in dunstable and this place came up. Arrived on time and was hot. It really was lovely and tasted so fresh too. Be warned though, the hot Mayo is hot lol. Will definitely order again. Well done Olive Garden.

Tried ordering take away from here last weekend. Phoned about 8 times.no answer. Even though said open. Finally got through..but no available slots so said to phone back so day morning (last week still). Phomed sunday. Still no answer. Phoned about 5 times. Managed to get through during the week to order take away for sunday (fathers day today).. all ordered ok. Food arrived on time. Which was fine. They messaged to say was on way etc. But I can say the food was quite disappointing. Nothing special about it. Quite bland.very standard. We had quite few different dishes but in the mixed platter it says chicken bites. Wasnt expecting chicken nuggets that my 7ear old eats that tasted like McDonalds ones. I would maybe try something different again but not in a rush. So yes bit disappointed. But everyone has different opinions and taste buds.

Having read the glowing reviews for Olive Garden and takeaway menu we thought to give it a try. Phoned at 2:30 for a pickup before 6. - Told no collection slots until 6:30 and cannot have the special, although advertised as being available until 6. Shame, we were looking to support small local recommended restaurants. Glad to see a business doing so well it can turn business away. Other takeaway option chosen.

Have eaten in here a few times over the years and the food has always been good and reasonably priced. Saw they were doing takeaways during lockdown, we had one a couple of weeks ago it did not disappoint. It was lovely as it always we had the set meal £22 great value for money good food, good portions and delivered on time and hot. You need to order a week in advance at weekends bit worth it .

Our neighbours recommended Olive Garden to us having previously used them last weekend. We weren’t disappointed the food was really nice we had the special menu. We ordered by email on the Thursday a very pleasant helpful lady rung me up on the Friday arranged time of delivery. This all ran smoothly and evening was a success. We will certainly being using Olive Garden again. Thank you Very good Value for money

Despite the fact we live in the town we have never tried this restaurant. We decided to order from here this evening whilst the nation is in lockdown. What can I say! Fantastic food, unbelievable service and arrived right on time. Unfortunately one of the dishes we had ordered was missed, but a quick phone call and 5 minutes later that dish had arrived. Fantastic service and will definitely be ordering from here numerous times in the future. Thank you!

We decided to have a night out ... at home. Olive Garden is one of our favourites so we organised a delivery. Easy to order from their takeaway menu with lots of great options. They rang 5 mins before arriving with food and were clearly taking Social distancing and preotection seriously but were of course friendly on the doorstep! We missed the lovely atmosphere and service of the restaurant but the food was beautifully presented so we could enjoy it straight away. We even have some leftovers for lunch today! Nice treat for this self isolation time. Thank you.

Opening hours say that they are open until 15:00 today but we just turned up and they are closed. No sign in the door. They should update their hours UPDATE: Reply received from owner. Will try to visit again soon

First time visiting this restaurant, Saturday 11th January, because we wanted more lamb options and were not disappointed with what their menu offers. The decor is basic but the food was superb. Waiting to order, we were given a sherry aperitif with a glass of water, which the waiter (owner?) continually topped up. The menu has a great variety, and as it's printed on plain paper, suggests it's regularly updated. We began with a choice of 4 starters between the two of us for £9.95. Whilst they appeared small on the sharing plate, they were actually quite filling. The choice of wine is quite limited but this is the first restaurant I've been to in Dunstable that provides proper large red wine glasses. We felt quite spoilt for choice with the main menu, all dishes reasonably priced and so many with lamb. My friend appeared to have been served the equivalent of a lamb mixed grill. We were too full to attempt dessert but the traditional baklava packed and topped with chopped pistachio together with a thick clotted ice cream and our black coffees, was perfect. £62 between two including a bottle of Merlot wine was a good deal to us. We then saw their business cards offer 20% for bookings made at least two weeks in advance. We're planning to go back soon.

14 of us visited, I would recommend this restaurant, manager couldn't have been more helpful as one of party requested gluten free, asking the party member to contact him personally. Recommend the kleftico, but beef stifado looked lovely. deffo returning

a real find in Dunstable and a nice change from the the other restaurants in the area ,we started with a selection of got and cold meze all served with bread and then we tried the kleftico (baked lamb knuckle) which was soO good,we will be returning thats for sure !!

Monday night for mums birthday, a very quiet night but couldn’t have felt more welcome. Oskar is an amazing host, service impeccable and food gorgeous. Portions are huge and typically generous for the Mediterranean style. We will return, thank you for looking after us

We had a very pleasant evening at olive garden on a Friday evening. The food was lovely and drinks quite cheap. The atmosphere was excellent and so was the service. We will definitely be back. Although I would like to see a bit more choice on the menu.

Food was amazing, and the waiter was the nicest person ever. We was suprised that the place was empty and we think that this is because of decor which is a bit outdated, also the blinds makes the inside dark which is not welcoming and looks a bit like shop from the outside. I would recommend it as food was really good and atmosphere was really nice. It is worth to go there.

Appalling food, how do they get away with it. Food is all pre-frozen and still frozen when arrived at the table which got sent back. That's not all that was frozen, had to put coat back on was so cold in there. Shame, as the wait staff are lovely. Won't be going back.

Very friendly traditional family Greek restaurant. Good value 2 course set menu Mon-Sat £15.50 p/p. Mezze starter is a great introduction to Greek starters. Succulent chicken Souvlaki can be recommend.

Went back to the restaurant after nearly a 3 year break and unfortunately not much had changed from our last visit. The decor still looks tired and jaded and unless i am very much mistaken still appears to have pictures of Italian landmarks on the walls from the previous restaurant's occupancy. The service was fine but as their were only 6 of us in the place this was to be expected. The food though was very average and the portion size on the small size. The cheapest thing on the plate were Saute Potatoes so why scrimp on them? A child's size portion would be my best observation. The red wine we had was fine and not ridiculously expensive. Their are two similar restaurants in Dunstable now and both of them do this sort of food, but do it a lot better. Definitely room for improvement....

We’d been looking forward to taking our friends here last Saturday night. There were two other tables occupied at 7.30pm, and it didn’t get any busier all night. A shame for a Saturday night. But why we ask? Well it might be that their menu seems to have changed substantially since our last visit. Apart from being presented on a single piece of A4 paper, it was very limited. Starters were just the one option of various hot mixed dishes, which were actually very palatable, but it would be nice to have been given some choices. The mains let it down badly. The pork was definitely not cooked fresh. The Moussaka was awful, hardly any meat at all and extremely dry. My kleftiko was fine. But the wine.... well there was only the one choice; house wine, red, white or rose. We chose red which came to the table in an opened bottle. Not done in a decent restaurant. It was just drinkable, and we did have some more as it was the only option. However, it’s clear that the empty bottles were being refilled from a barrel behind the bar. No way was that bottle worth anything like the £14 they charged. I’m happy with decanted wine from a barrel, but at least advertise it and serve it as a carafe, and not as a bottled Merlot. That is just deceitful. Two stars for the service, but in terms of atmosphere, honesty, food and drink, I can’t recommend it any longer, and sadly we won’t be returning. I wonder if the Olive Garden will soon be a victim of its own making.

This was our third Christmas day meal in here. At just over £40 this year for 5 courses it yet again was a bargain. You choose from a limited meditteranean menu which has plenty of selection for all tastes. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Thanks for opening on Christmas day yet again Oscar!

Very limited menu. Had to wait a while for drinks and menu as limited menus available. Food ok but didn't have starter and steak too well done. Kept coat on as too cold to take off. Cafe like atmosphere. Waitress couldn't answer any questions we asked. Would not go back!

We turned up for an early meal and were treated to a simple menu of delicious dishes ... amd tempted by them all ended up having 3 courses each rather than the intended snack!

My family and I went to the Olive Garden for dinner. We ordered mezes and mains to share. The food came very quickly and to a very high standard. We felt very welcomed and comfortable the whole time we were there. Thank Arian and billable for an amazing night.

We thought we’d go local and try this place out as seen a couple of reviews. Food was lovely and service was great. The resteraunt was a bit tired and dated but I can see how hard it must be to survive on a busy road with little custom in the week. All in all, nice food and lovely people

Lovely little restaurant with AMAZING FOOD AND WONDERFUL STAFF. Went with a group of 6-7 my girlfriends for a last minute birthday meal, the food was new to some of us and tasted amazing, we got to try new things and new flavours. The food was presented wonderfully, staff was friendly and helpful. The chef came out to meet us and check if we enjoyed our meals which we ALL DID. The menu was able to cater to friends with dietary intolerances without them feeling left out for choice of food. There was parking near by and good choice of drinks. The only issue we had was a hiccup with understanding the menu but we are aware for next time and the chef and owner were very understanding to us all. So they still deserve 5 stars WE WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK TO OLIVE GARDEN DUNSTABLE.

Siamo appena stati a mangiare in questo ristorante e devo dire che siamo stati benissimo.Il proprietario Oscar è stato gentilissimo e disponibile.Cibo ottimo ed abbondantissimo(abbiamo preso il piatto misto e la pasta per nostra figlia).Ciliegina sulla torta,ci hanno fatto pagare metà il piatto di pasta di nostra figlia ed offerto il gelato, sempre per lei...Alle fine il proprietario ci ha intrattenuto parlando delle sue bimbe che hanno più o meno l’età della nostra.Si sta come a casa,chi lavora bene merita recensioni eccellenti.

We booked a table for 4 adults one 2 year old and a 1 year old at 5.30pm hoping that the food would be served quickly and the children would behave! We weren't disappointed.The food was served with quickly with just the right amount of wait time between courses. We all ordered something different (I can't remember all the dishes we ordered) but the mezze sharing platter was perfect for the little ones with plenty of pitta, and dips to keep them amused we also got them bruschetta which was delicious and also a big hit with them. All our main meals not only looked really appetising but tasted great too. Desserts were lovely too. The wine list is limited, house red, rose and white only, however we tried the red (merlot) and white (sauvignon blanc) and they were really nice. There was a choice of 3 desserts, profiteroles, baked cheesecake and vanilla ice cream. We had the cheesecake which was really nice and the children had ice cream. It was a great meal, excellent service, the food was delicious, and we will definitely go again.

A group of work colleagues accidentally stumbled on this gem of a restaurant and found it to be well above our expectations. The food was excellent and freshly prepared. The service was impecable without being intrusive.
