Old Boat House Cafe in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

With several local friends we visited the Old Hunstanton Beach Cafe for Christmas dinner yesterday, the meal and friendly staff made it a special event that would have been a credit to any top restaurant. As locals we meet regular visitors who would never miss a trip to the best beach cafe in Norfolk whenever in the area. The quality of the varied food, catering for all tastes, can never be faulted on quality or price, and five gold stars is not enough to describe the food available. We wish all the management and staff a very happy Christmas and thank them for making everyone’s visit feel so special.🎄

Delighted to visit again after a long beach walk with the dogs on Sunday. So friendly, delicious food and a Coeliac's paradise. Very reassuring.

We enjoyed the most lovely Christmas lunch today, celebrating my Mums Birthday. Honestly can’t recommend this place enough,it was absolutely wonderful. We had booked the special Christmas lunch & it didn’t disappoint. Very reasonably priced for 2 courses. The meal was far superior too any other places I’ve eaten on the North Norfolk coast. The food was cooked to perfection, piping hot & beautifully presented. The staff are so friendly & attentive, really 10/10 faultless.

We tried their special Christmas meal, it was just perfect, wonderful friendly prompt service, brilliant value, ambience just amazing (seeing sea outside the window whilst we ate) . The food was as good as it gets, well cooked, as good as home cooking, tasty, in fact tastier than any other Sunday roasts we have had around East Anglia. So much effort and thought had been put into the whole cafe/meal, with real environmental, vegan, dog friendly initiatives. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better the Old Town Beach Cafe has suppassed itself.

Lunchtime version of a breakfast with spinach, bubble n squeak, tomato, avocado, fried egg, mushrooms and fried bread. So yum. Highly recommend it. We came back for cake….chocolate/banana and coffee walnut. Both were superb.

Finished a blustery stroll on the beach with a stop for coffee & tea at the Old Town Beach Cafe. At one point it felt like there were more dogs than people in the cafe but if you're not put off by that we had nice hot drinks in a very friendly & inviting place.

Stopped here for brunch after a short walk from Hunstanton. Freshly prepared food and reasonable coffee, albeit from a push button machine. Just opposite the RNLI so could visit them afterwards.

... I'm happy to make exception for you. We joined the short, but slow queue at about 14:55. At 15.02 we were told nicely, but firmly that they closed and were no longer serving; even though the doors were still open for anyone to join the queue. The queue in front of us, as far as I'm aware we're allowed to remain. I now see, according to Google, they are open until 17:00! Very unprofessional!

Found a seat outside which was very pleasant. Service was outstanding. The lady at the counter couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was good and reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Came here for breakfast, and chose a table on the terrace overlooking the beach. Great choice of traditional, gluten free and vegetarian breakfasts. An incredible little find, with such a wide selection of food, jacket potatoes toastie is ice creams home-made cakes drinks and snacks. Fantastic shaded seating with very friendly staff, who even offered us a free drink for the litter pick on the beach that we did. Dog friendly family friendly. What a gem this cafe is . It has one of the best ranges of vegan cafe food I have ever seen. 100%going back. Vegan sausage rolls just came out of the oven and were delicious. Strongly recommended.

The cafe was very, very busy and we were warned of a 30-40 minute wait which turned out to be nearer the hour but worth the wait. We all had paninis with salad, coleslaw and crisps in a brilliant compostable tub for our take away. Unfortunately the rain came down at that point so we didn't manage to eat on the beach as planned but lovely spot just he same.

Regularly visit this cafe when staying with my parents (who go weekly). Usually have the vegan sausage sandwich but today tried the vegan breakfast for the first time and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was cooked perfectly. The coffee was lovely and the tofu scramble had so so much flavour. Highly reccomend!!

I have had the pleasure of eating at this cafe now over a number of years. It never fails to deliver, providing consistently high quality food & excellent service from friendly staff. As a lifelong vegetarian, I can honestly say that the veggie & vegan breakfasts are not matched anywhere else I have visited. Top marks to all who make this, for me, the No.1 beach cafe in the UK.

Came with 2 over 60s, my wife and toddler. Had early lunch at about 12. Really lovely service. Really lovely food. Lots of outside space with a good mix of sun and shade. Beach bits to buy (wind breakers, bucket and spade etc). They have a beach hut to rent which we’d have lived but it was booked out for the day. Really generous portions with lovely salad, coleslaw and chips. Also had coffee and cake earlier in the day which was lovely. Lots of vegan choices as well as good quality meat (bacon was great!)

Stopped here after a lovely amble along Old Hunstanton Beach with our three dogs. Beautiful place to sit, we had lattes and cake all of which was very nice. As it was nearing closing time, we were asked if we would like some Cornish Pasties FOC, nothing wrong with them, just saved them from the bin. Well, they were DELICIOUS. Will definitely be returning to both the beach and this lovely little cafe. Wanted to try the delicious and plentiful variety of ice cream, but had no room after the impromptu pasties and cake!!
