The staff was friendly and the food was good. The price-performance ratio was right for me. I can recommend it.

We happened upon Kingley Court by mistake, and so glad we did! A beautiful vibe, with lots of choice of restaurants. We were lucky enough to choose Oka. As a family of two adults and two children, the menu was varied to suit us all. The food was delicious, with wonderfully, friendly service. Would definitely recommend the salmon! The restaurant provides a buzzy atmosphere, and was spotlessly clean. We would definitely return.

If I go anywhere and paying a price of 100+ I would have an expectation of not having to see fruit flies plastered around the wall… it’s just so off putting!!! If I was to take that away I suppose I can’t complain too much about the food. It was a decent meal with some good tasting food with room for improvement. The sushi is not too bad but definitely not the freshest sushi out there, the chicken karaage has a crunchy and light batter but it’s a different type of batter that is not usually found in a karaage which I was sceptical about, but nonetheless it was juice inside. The lamb was probably the highlight for me as it was flavoursome and tender, steak was also done nicely but the sauce was far too sickly and sweet. Overall I wouldn’t mind going if I had no other better Japanese around the corner but please do better in keeping the hygiene up.

Unfortunately couldn't get in as lift not working. While not their fault, we had specified wheelchair access needs when booking and no one let us know the lift was broken. Just flagging for future customers with similar requests to call to check!

We loved the sushi here. Nicely presented and reasonable portions. Spicy tuna rolls and dragon rolls were great. Broccoli cooked on the robata grill was smoky, but expensive. Cocktails were good from spicy margarita to a special of tequila with coconut. Good value kimchi

I was craving sushi for lunch with my friend. This was nearby option and it looked good on Google. So we went. Place is nicely done, clean, and the atmosphere is also friendly. However, the sushi itself wasn’t anything special. For the price of it, I’d probably go to wasabi store for the same quality, but less money spent. I mean don’t get me wrong, go and try it out. I’ve had much better and I’m picky now.

Their food is so good. Best Asian restaurant in london. I had the best sushi 🍣 and the best Asian fried chicken. The duck was lacking flavor but the rest of our food was 💯 Will definitely be back!

Wife and I stopped in for dinner on our last night in London, they were busy and all booked up but they sat us anyways as a walk in on the stipulation that we eat within 45 minutes, which was fine by us, and it was a lucky break it turns out because this place is fantastic! The best sushi we have ever had at this price range, and we are from California where there is a lot of good sushi, so that’s impressive! Highly recommend

Very disappointed with quality of food 🍱 not as I expected or meet my expectations 👎🏼( it was just not fresh!! It seems to be pre-made ) the rice was rock hard and the seafood definitely was overnight, sorry I CANNOT recommend this place

Fun place, good vibe and the food is tasty. A nice venue to go to and I would recommend sitting at the bar to watch the preparation of the food.

Visited with a friend, the salmon rolls looked good, tuna nigiri looked a bit dry as if not freshly cooked. We still ate everything, it tasted ok when we ate. However shortly after both I and my friend felt unwell. I will not be returning to this place and probably won't have sushi for a long time now.

I went to OKA yesterday for a lunch and the food was ok but when I arrived at home I had a terrible FOOD POISONING. It’s been super hot days and you should close the doors and windows and turn on the AC because you guys prepare raw food. It can’t be a hot and unhygienic place. Also I saw the sushiman eating while he was preparing the food. It doesn’t look a clean manner.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon and seated right away - though the restaurant was pretty packed. Ordered the vegan tofu roll, small yellowtail roll, salmon robata, veggie tempura, plum wine, and a Asahi. Everything was delicious! And priced well. Only complaint is indoor the restaurant was quite warm - they did have windows open, but it still felt stuffy. Would recommend for a nice, casual Asian meal.

Great food and drinks, reasonable prices given the location (cocktails are approx £10 each, meal portion would come to ~£25pp). A little small and tables are quite close but that is part of the vibe. Probably not suitable for celebrations or a big group, but nice for casual dinners. Quite warm in the restaurant probably because of the open grill in the kitchen area. Friendly service.

Used to be a lot better but the quality of the sushi has really fallen recently. Used to be a go to in London but unfortunately has to send the tuna tataki back because we thought something was rotten. The maki rolls and salmon bits are good.

We loved it! We went there mostly for sushi and ordered the shrimp tempura for starter. It was great! The sushi was really nice as well particularly the dragon rolls. We also had creme brûlée and cookie brownie for dessert and both are a must try! Waiting time for the sushi was very little, the staff was very nice, and prices were okay considering what we ordered. We booked in advance to guarantee a table. Only concern is that the tables were so close to each other and it was a little loud.

We went there for lunch and the food was really good. Especially the oka salad which I definitely recommend. However the portions were really small given the price we paid. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re very hungry. 😕

Two of the orders were brought incorrectly, the food quality is very mid to low compared to other Oka branches. It was not fresh at all and tempura tasted burnt. Even though we complained, the manager insisted that the food is fresh and refused to accept the fact that they were in wrong. Very disappointing considering the order was +£200

We have been a regular customer but this time in this branch the food was not fresh at all also it is considerable that they did not take a truffle sushi with a truffle sauce which was a headache. They refused to get any discounts or accept the fact they were bad.

Charming little place off a side street in Carnaby Soho

Hervorragendes Sushi: Nigiri*****, Sashimi****, Truffle*****, Rainbow****, Salmon Roll*****. Weinauswahl klein, hat uns aber sehr geschmeckt! Schönes Ambiente in einem Hinterhof. Leider im ersten Stock. Trotzdem 5 Sterne für London. Auch viele andere Restaurants (konnten wir leider nicht probieren). Klein aber fein! Geheimtipp!!!

A super Japanese restaurant and with reasonably priced sushi which is a rarity in London these days haha! If you come to Kingly Court I’d suggest going to eat here. It’s quite a small, cosy and welcoming restaurant.

Petit restaurant niché au cœur de Carnaby Street, L’accueil est très agréable et l’endroit est très calme! La nourriture est très bonne, et le personnel est très attentionné! Un petit bémol pour le prix qui est un peu trop élevé par rapport à la qualité! Rien à dire d’autre si ce n’est que je recommande!

Every dish is very special and delicious. The atmosphere is very good for charging my appetite. The staff in the restaurant all have smiling faces and are very friendly. It is a small restaurant but worth trying.

OK food at insane prices. Did we just pay £15 for 3 slices of aubergine with teriyaki sauce??? The portions were miniscule and the food just ordinary. We came out all still feeling hungry and ripped off. The atmosphere was also just ordinary and the service fine.

Overall, Oka is a decent place for sushi and robata. I’m not sure how fresh the fish they use are but I find them alright. The best dish for me has to be the Bulgogi beef fillet from the robata grill. Overall, I think Oka is overpriced for what you get. You’ll get better specialty rolls elsewhere, but if you do dine here the Dragon Roll, Spider Roll, the Red Dragon Roll and the Salmon Truffle roll are what I would recommend.

We found Oka by off chance, we’ll be going back the next time we’re in town. The food was incredible, the staff phenomenal, they tweaked and created dishes for our 7 year that were stunning on the eye and amazing on the tongue. Thank you xx

We randomly walked in here and were seated with no fuss. We were too hungry to take pictures but heres what we got: - Salmon bites 10/10 - SOOOO GOOD. Hot crispy rice and the cold salmon just hit the spot. Honestly better than Nobu. - Prawn Tempura 10/10 - very nice fresh batter for a tempura, good quality prawn, good portions and were sizzling hot. - Salmon Truffle Role 4/10 - wouldn't get it again was weird - Dragon Roll 10/10 - delicious & fresh Highly recommend for Sushi - would definitely return!

Cozy place with excellent sushi and wonderful rabato (= grilled) dishes! Our favorite sushi roll was the truffle salmon roll and our favorite rabato dish was the Kimchi Chicken (see photo). The salmon bites were also very nice. You'll be seeing us again at our next visit to London! Cheers!

The lamb here is simply to die for!

Really good service, the food was came out in order and was prompt. Everything was fresh and fragrant. Highly recommended the kimchi Chicken from the robata grill and the prawn tempura. The only let down was the beef fillet, which although cooked well, I'm sure if it was the fillet as it had some fat and sinuet that you wouldn't expect.

At this price point it leaves a lot to be desired. Too much spice added to all dishes, and some sugary seasoning on the aspargus.

Sushi was amazing, along with the tempura prawns and veg, the start of the show is miso aubergine though, it’s honestly incredible!

I came here with my friend and the food was absolutely lovely. Would recommend the salmon tataki - it was so delicious. The food came really quickly as well. Service was great. The portions aren’t massive but the fish is good quality. It’ll be hard to spent under £25 a person and not feel hungry but the food is very good.

Booked a table for 3 on a Monday evening. Definitely tight seating, but a nice interior. Sushi was good, however sushi rolls are larger at sticks'n'sushi, sushisamba, etc. Also limited vegetarian options. We loved the lychee and ginger mojitos and so ordered another round after eating, however we were not made aware that we only had the table for an hour and a half - we waited a long time for the drinks to arrive and were then told we had 15 minutes to finish. Disappointing to be rushed - poor communication.

Excellent sushi, made fresh and food came out fairly quickly and brought out once it was ready and not all at the same time. You'll need to look up once in the center courtyard between Carnaby and Kingly Streets and take the stairs or the lift to the 1st floor to get here.

WOW!!! What a find - genuinely one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to in London - a small but perfectly formed restaurant with clearly passionate chefs - great sushi and robata - all three of us were blown away.

Just walked in and luckily the table was available shortly. Very tasty sushi place, worth every penny. The green dragon roll was especially nice! Will be coming here again for sure.
