Fresh, authentic and traditional Italian family run restaurant. Tasty and fresh ingredients used. Good option menu offering vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Great drinks menu too. Perfect dining out with family and friends.

Did not expect it from Leicester, but this small Italian restaurant was a pleasant surprise in terms of price, speed of service and food quality. Proprietor is quite a character himself.

This was my 5th visit to Oggi, it was my first time taking the parents there as they were visiting. As ever, the food was great; on this front, Oggi remains the best Italian in Leicester and possibly in the whole Midlands, especially when you take value into account. The lasagne is still one of the best you'll find anywhere and it's great to see a place that doesn't step down in quality with its vegetarian options. The food is not matched by the service, which is not terrible but needs some work. Several waiters looked sullen, though the waiter who served our wine seemed more enthusiastic and was even happy to talk about the different wines they offer. Mixed bag there. The owner is...eccentric, but usually quite accommodating. I'll be back for the food and hope the service will be a little more polished/friendly next time. The bill came to £40 a head all in (for a starter and a main each plus a bottle of wine shard and a tip).

What a fabulous night out. Delicious food served hot and plentiful! Varied menu and drinks list at a reasonable price. Friendly staff and welcoming host, we got to eat good food, laugh, sing and even dance! Highly recommend 🥂🤩

Authentic Italian food served well with good atmosphere.. good quality own lager.. high quality tiramisu similar to the one in Italy.. the milanzana parmigiana was to die for.. good table layout and clean facilities.. the owner is so lovely and on the shop floor.. we would definitely come again

It is such a good place to have Italian food and the service they have provided was fabulous and presentation and taste of the food was delicious. It is bit congested, however that point can be ignore when we have such a fine and neat & clean place in town.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. We booked tonight for our 6th year anniversary and we loved it! Never been before, but will be back again and again. The food, the drinks, the service, the environment - all exceptional. I do love Italian restaurants, and this one is right up there. Awesome!!

One of the best Italian restaurants in Leicester. The ambience is great, staff are friendly and really helpful. The team made a huge effort in helping with a birthday celebration. Thank you. Definitely worth a visit if you're around. Try the Arrebiata sauce. Faa--boo--lous!!

Had our work Christmas party here, was a set menu which we sent our orders across. Food was rather lame, hard prawns which were over cooked. Side vegetables shop bought, like bullets, and the desserts were not home made . Service was a disappoint grumpy and took ages to get our drinks. I don’t think they’re the type of place for large numbers. Felt rushed and like we were in the way. Not a great atmosphere

Delicious and clearly very fresh ingredients used.

Lovely cosy atmosphere, attentive staff though not overbearing. Risotto was delicious, Panna cotta a little disappointing as couldn't taste any creaminess to it. The rest of the party really enjoyed their main meals. Second visit with family October 2023 and a totally different experience. Appalling customer service from the 63 year old Italian waiter. So shockingly rude, obnoxious and unaware of how to conduct himself. I'm amazed that he hasn't got himself the sack as he really should go. I'm sure he'd be happy to go , he made it quite clear of what he thinks of Leicester. Thinks himself very clever but he did actually get the order wrong. Not as smart as he thinks he is.....wind your neck in dear and take the time out to learn about English etiquette.

Love it. Amazing food. Authentic Italian. Very filling. Great service. Went for my husbands birthday. They prepared a nice surprise and brought a candle lit thiramasu. Really appreciated it. The head waiter is very entertaining. Enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend this place.

Not one for Italian food, just went to please the Mrs, but was shocked just how much I enjoyed the food, the food was full flavour, only down side was the noise level due to a big party of 20 plus dining together, but gave us the chance to see and admire the food served, well worth a visit would definitely go again 👍.

Everything was amazing from the moment we walked in! Made to feel welcome with friendly staff and olives given to us. All of the ingredients are super fresh and all the dishes were delicious. The lasagne was the best I’ve ever had!

Absolutely incredible. My first time at Oggi and we were welcomed with open arms! We booked a table for my birthday and the staff and Rino made it very special. I was given extra of something I enjoyed, our table shared a limoncello and I was given a tiramisu all as birthday treats. Not only did the staff make everything special and welcome, but the FOOD!! Absolutely delicious. We had the burrata to start, I had the Spaghetti Oggi which I highly recommend. Fantastic restaurant for all occasions.

Oggi used to be a place of really tasty authentic Italian cuisine with the atmosphere to match. Having gone there recently it's disappointing to say this is no longer the case. Staff are not very knowledgeable, food was awful - I got food poisoning, so the produce is definitely not fresh, we had the gnocchi and veal. The veal was some thin sliced serving with bacon on, very odd dish. The wine choice was poor for an Italian restaurant, very acidic corked wines given by the glass had to return 2 as just didn't taste right. All in all its ashame as used to like going here. Will stick to others such as Casa Romana and San Carlos where I'm yet to have a disappointing meal.

Second time here for my birthday. Beautiful decor and great food. Impeccable service. 10/10

High quality food and great service. Started with Verdure Marinate Alla Griglia (grilled peppers, aubergine and courgette with mozzarella). For my main I had the best hake I’ve ever eaten, with a lovely and reasonably priced Orus Primitivo. Excellent tiramisu to finish. Returned six months later, this time had penne arribbiata to start, and mixed grilled fish for my main. Both dishes were delicious, the fish all perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Superb food!!! One of the best restaurant in Leicester to visit for authentic Italian food. Worth visiting and the ingredients they use were very fresh. Many options to choose from. Visiting Oggi was the best decision. It’s reasonably priced for the quality of food they provide. They also have many wine options. This restaurant will definitely put a smile on your face. Don’t forget to try their Ravioli Della Casa if you love black truffle ❤️‍🔥

Really enjoyed dinning out a week ago with my friends. The staff were really friendly and the service was good and quick. We ordered risotto and pastas which were really yummy. Would highly recommend. For desserts, definitely try Tiramisu.

It’s been a few years since we have been here. We’d moved away, covid happened, but we were delighted to come back and see that Mario was still there and remembered us and my name. 😉Food was very tasty and plentiful. The staff new to us were friendly too. Will be back.

I was served by the lovely Anubhooti who was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was also fantastic and great options.

I had high expectations from this place especially after colleagues recommended it. However, this place is let down by the owners. We were extremely rushed by the time we arrived, and I mean, we were asked constantly "are you ready to order" every 10 minutes. After voicing my opinion to management, there was no apology, which means, the truth really hurt them! Conclusion, I wont be going there ever again nor will I recommend it to anyone, its an awful place....

Service pretty cold and clinical. The restaurant failed to recognised we had previously booked but did offer us a table asking if we would be able to leave half an hour before we had originally booked until. Not a great start. There was no apology offered with regards to our table not being booked although we had a confirmation via email. At the table we then asked about the wine for a recommendation. Unfortunately the waitress, although lovely, said she did not know anything about the wine. Perhaps worth training staff on this?? Our order was then taken from a senior member of staff who initiated no conversation or rapport. This felt rather odd considering how he was so attentive and friendly to other tables. In fact, all other tables apart from ours. Hard not to take this personally. The food was excellent in terms of quality but unfortunately we really did feel unwelcome and rather a burden in terms of the customer service offered. I really appreciate good quality food and wine but this experience has really highlighted that, regardless of lovely food, poor service always leaves a bad taste in one’s mouth. We won’t be returning.

Excellent Italian restaurant, with great, authentic food options and excellent service. Good lively atmosphere, and this place gets busy, so make sure you book when you want to go. We went at 5pm and we needed to book. This place is ideal for a pre-show meal, as it's near De Montfort Hall.

Very good food! I would say the waiter got offended when we wanted to make changes to the dishes but actually his reccomended choice was better tasting! We got the penne Arribiata, the seafood Spaghetti and the truffle pasta!

Went here before attending De Montfort for a show and booked for an early table at 5.30pm. Service is swift and it was packed. Food was OK. Nothing particularly special but good. It felt a bit rushed but otherwise OK

Strange review to write. The food - best Italian in Leicester by a distance. Absolutely delicious. First time going and was highly recommended and did not disappoint on the food front. But only on the food front! The servers were pleasant however the senior member of staff perhaps manager / owner far from. Noticed he was very friendly to all the tables around us, conversing with them. Now it was our turn. He came to our table to collect payment. Didn't ask if we enjoyed our meal but was happy to ask the table next to us if they were enjoying their meal mid way through. It wad the third time he asked them! Took my card and tapped it to pay contatctless without my permission and gave it me back and walked off. I was intending to give a tip as myself and my wife were so blown away with food and it was the least the team deserved. My wife and I both walked out of the restaurant asking ourselves if we did something wrong or offended him in any way and ended up feeling really awkward. We rarely have the pleasure of going out for a meal as a couple with having a small child. This was a special occasion and we had arranged child care. We were left with very mixed emotions. Food -tremendous. Management - much to be desired. Just to reiterate the waiters were pleasant, management / senior staff not so much..

The food here is divine! The starters in the photographs (burrata melanzane in particular) were beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Fish perfectly cooked and a lovely bottle of Primitivo. Prices are on the high side but worth it for the quality. Service was prompt and not intrusive. We will definitely return.

One of my favourite places to go out on fancy occasions with friends or family. I have been out with friends and family on many occasions and the staff and food could not have impressed me more. A small piece of advice would be to pre-book a table it would be much better!

Went to Oggi's yesterday to celebrate my granddaughter's 15 birthday. The food was very good; the teenagers ate every morsel and the staff were very friendly. Oh yes and the wine was also very good!

Good food,very quick service. Took my 2 children and baby. Only big downfall is that they dont have a baby changing facility. Had to change my baby in the pushchair.... not baby friendly at all.

A complete shambles. Don’t waste your money. Shockingly poor service. Rude miserable staff. Average food if it arrives. 5 of us entered. The waiter asked 2 of us for our drinks order and then left! One starter never arrived. No one came and asked us how our meal was. Mains arrived at different times. Profiteroles - you get 2! Staff never smiled or made conversation or thanked us for our custom. Restaurant busy and they clearly can’t cope. Very noisy and seating close together. Don’t waste your money - go somewhere else.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food 4.6/5, service 3.6/5. To be honest, the restaurant provides great quality and authentic Italian food for us, it also higher than the average level even in London. However, my English friend got some offensive words from the manager, which I can not rate them higher. I should clarify that the service quality of other part is still keep in the line. Nice to try here if you visit Leicester want to something different than other few Indian restaurants. 💷£20-40 💁🏼‍♂️15mins.

Very nice Italian restaurant! Pasta’s are very good and made in traditional Italian fashion. Menu doesn’t offer pizza’s which is something to keep in mind.

Absolutely wonderful food, service was excellent even though the restaurant was very busy we also received complimentary Limoncello as the head waiter discovered it was my wife's birthday, a good evening out.
