Took my niece for a birthday lunch. All I can say is the food was excellent and the portions are huge.

We went for dinner with our kids. Been before and aware it's not amazing but usually you get a decent dinner and reasonably priced. This time however will probably be our last. I think the chef/cook may be on a bit of an ego trip. Which seems strange considering there was only 1 other table in. The lady who served us was welcoming and friendly so no issues there. Ordered food, I had steak pie. It was OK, not great just ok. Steak was quite tough. My husband had a burger. He didn't realise it said on the menu that you can't change these up at all so when he asked to add crispy onions was told no, chef won't do that. Fair enough as it does state it on the menu. Burgers were obviously frozen cheap burger van rubbish. At £15-17 I'd say that's a bit much! My youngest had steak and chips and no complaints from him so winner there. Eldest went with the special which was sirloin with mash, gravy and crispy onions. Asked if we could have it without the onions and again told no. So in an age where we talk of food waste etc the chef proceeded to dump a huge pile of battered onions on top of the steak knowing full well they would be picked off. Just seems a bit silly. We were even given extra napkins to discard the unwanted onions onto! We thought it very strange when he literally just had to......not put them on! We weren't expecting a reduction in price! The rest of her meal wasn't bad but not great either. So much gravy on the plate that it was almost impossible to cut the steak without the gravy pouring onto the table. Also she couldn't see where the fat on the steak was to cut off again thanks to the amount of gravy. Tasty gravy though, I'll give him that. Bill was just over £100. We won't be returning anytime soon. There are far superior places in kilmarnock that dont have an awkward cook for that type of money than here I'm afraid. Maybe the fact it was empty should've told its own story but we were just looking for a cheapish midweek dinner. We really should've gone to wetherspoons

Never had a bad meal out of here but tonight's was mediocre,4 different dishes and we all felt the same and to top it off we were about to be over charged..wouldn't say it was overly busy but I can say the both waiters were pleasant.

Loved the food, on the dear side but plenty of it! Strange was we was served by a guy we overheard telling people not to come here as the chefs were no good and it was all microwaved and from frozen meals. Turned out he theassistant manager!! I wonder if oceans know they've got an employee actively telling people to go away and eat somewhere else. Mfriend enjoyed hers and me to. I will be back bye the way, I think he could pay more attention to himself, he looked like he'd woken up there and then and hygiene was an issue without going into detail

I have had a love hate relationship with this place in the past about food but the last visit was sooo good, the potato skins and dips were to die for.

Been here a few times Food is delish , but the attitude of the staff was really off putting , they seemed as though they didnt want to be there , staff unfriendly

The male server was very rude, every littel thing is too much of a problem, huffy attitude. Whither it's a sauce or even your meal order he took it's clearly a bother. We felt wed intruded on his time or something, he clearly can't handle it but doesn't need to take it out on customers, we heard him be rude with other people too. We won't try the place again, I'd heard about this and his personal hygene and I agree, it puts you right off your meal

Hadn't been for a while,the food is still fantastic and the service was excellent,they made my daughter who has special needs feel very welcome,staff couldn't do enough for her.we will definitely be going back very soon.

My wife had the JD steak which was cooked to perfection. I had the Highland steak pie which was amazing. Finest chunks of steak with no gristle

Popped in for a heavy lunch on a busy Saturday. Was seated immediately. Ordered a steak, and was happy to find it was both a good size and properly cooked (not the half-burnt 'rare' you sometimes get from restaurants. Food came out nice and quick. Was amused but pleasantly surprised at the inclusion of peach in the steak salad. Some of the veg are from cans. This wouldn't be an issue but nothing has been done to them. A quick roasting on the grill would elevate it to a 5 star tasting. Friendly girl, Steph, and other staff.

Fantastic food the steak pie the meat melts in your mouth. My friend got the sizzler and it was incredible. Service is even better friendly happy the owners are so nice even.

This is an amazing wee hidden gem in Kilmarnock, the food is amazing, exceptional priced for the amount on the plate, and service is fantastic, my partner and I have been here 4 times now, and can’t fault thr place.

Food is of a decent/pub grub standard with gems on the specials board and having been a few times, disinterested staff serving but on this occasion and another recent one there's been downright cheek and arrogance from someone with chronic personal hygiene and arm flapping crazy antics. I almost gagged at the musty smell and body odour. I'm sorry but this has to be said as the fella was flippant and cheeky with his remarks too. Single handed my he's lost us three as regular eaters, maybe once every 4-6 week wed visit and had enjoyed ourselves but seriously? You expect people to eat having that in their nostrils combined with the insults????

My mum and I visited yesterday we both had the cream of chicken soup and it was undoubtedly the best soup we had ever tasted. I then had the empire state burger which was unreal in size and taste with their homemade bbq sauce which was also superb. Staff were very friendly too. Would highly recommend

I try give all rounded reviews & not just give somewhere a 1 star just because I didn't like one aspect of the experience... Service was spot on. Staff were friendly. Accommodated us when they were already pretty busy with bookings. Drinks came fast, food came after a reasonable wait & the plates were taken away promptly once finished. Nice clean bar & has a good atmosphere during the day. I've also been at night & the place is reasonably priced for alcohol & offer wide range of drinks. The foood, I've tried food mutlple times but I personally don't see why folk like it. Each of the people I was with agreed that the food was below average compared to other places & the price did not back up the food quality. Portions was large, chips looked pale & depressed. Burgers tasted like there was flavouring in them to make them taste grilled however was straight out a microwave & the macaroni tasted like it was out of a packet. The others that I ate with said there food was average aswell. Overall I wouldn't go back as I feel the food was over priced for what was served. I won't insult the place and say the weatherspoons is better but the price of the food in spoons atleast justifys the quality of food you are served. 🐴

Great value for money, great food with amazing flavour. Really good service, got a table at short notice. Brilliant menu.

Thought we would try this place out. Only 3 stars burgers were too dry and crispy round the edges. A one off for us. Waitress looked fed up. And we felt she didn't want to be there. When we walked in. the place was empty 2 customers. Unfortunately we wouldn't return. I was asked when paying for the bill. Was everything OK. I said no burgers too dry. Reply was we sell loads off them. But it's cool we won't return and try anything else. Customer service isn't good here. And reply to other reviews are cheeky.

Lovely lunch today. Mushrooms were amazing. Burger a little charred but all still very tasty. Lovely staff.

Place is el rotto . Ordered a burger which was swimming in sauce couldn’t even pick it up to be told there’s nothing wrong with it. This is what I left from meal as the bbq sauce had drenched it. Wouldn’t even feed it to my dog lol won’t be back. Waitress was lovely but managers n chefs r clearly blind cos who would actually eat that 🤮

It's a place I love to go for dinner, the don't scrimp on portion size either so you get a good amount for your money This place has only changed for the better food gets better each time it seems

My fiancé and I visited for dinner when we were unexpectedly child free that night! We travelled from our town as I knew the food used to be very good and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the service was great. Will defo try come back more often.

American style Diner. I had the sizzle plate rib eye with mushrooms and onions. My wife had the Chicken and Mac-cheese. We also had a side salad. The Chicken and mac cheese was enormous, the rib eye was just big. The side salad was a meal in itself. All well cooked and great staff.

Meal was 10/10 and staff were very attentive! Would recommend the burgers or the steaks! I’ll be back!

Last minute booking and I'm so glad we did. The food was excellent! The rib-eye steak topped with black pudding and Jack Daniels sauce was tremendous. I would encourage everyone to try this. 5 stars from me.

My mate and I arrived one august day forgetting it was the dinner deal day. We didn’t book a table but we were given one for a short while. The meal it’s self was very good we had gammon steaks with a cheese sauce which was lovely . The service was also good. I would highly recommend this bar dinner. I haven’t been there for years but will not leave it as long the next time.

Spent alot of time in this place over the last 10 years. Food never disappoints, drinks are reasonably priced with offers on. Decent selection of gins and whiskies. Banter never too far away either. Behave yourself and you'll be taken care of

Really enjoyed my lasagne big portion. This is one time I wished I liked steak my sister in law had one n it looked delicious I did dip a chip in the woosta pepper sauce yum. Will go back n have it with chicken

Visited here on an evening to have a meal and watch the football. Place was virtually empty. Barman was aggressive and appeared anti English. Everything was too much trouble. We ended up walking out, leaving our drinks untouched, without eating there. Really horrible experience and definitely won't be returning. We paid for our drinks before we left btw.

This restaurant does not offer takeaway. Just as well as it is likely the case that they wouldn't want the food getting any worse. The picture goes to show the incredible low quality of beef used in the burger. This is a guarantee that the burgers are from frozen. Rock solid - you could break a glass with one of the patties. Haven't tried the other food but if one of their main staples on the menu is their burgers, then avoid like the plague. Atmosphere was quiet althought it was a Monday night. Only other customers were either wearing track suits and couldn't finish a mouthful without slapping their lips, or were sitting at the bar. The interior is confusing. Seems like they're trying to cater to everyone. You've got pool tables, cigarette machines, slot machines and football on TV on one side, and then some weird American diner style mini-seating area (8x couple tables I think) all covered with some odd 80s style checkered plastic sheet covering them (which were sticky by the way). Oh also the cutlery came wrapped in wet tissue. So yeah.. for 28.55 we had 2x burgers and 2x drinks. You could get McDonald's 3 times with much higher quality food and atmosphere. Ye bin warned ;-)

A very pleasant bar with friendly staff a wide choice of gins and the food is very good. A good choice of menu and a plateful when it arrives, well cooked and tasty. Will definitely go again.

Was looking for something different and walked by Oceans 11. Not been in there for a long time so thought we’d give it a go. Quiet on arrival but more diners and people having a quick pint too. Shown to our table menus provided and drinks ordered Classic American decor, signs etc but restaurant could have been a bit warmer. Wide variety of food available and keenly priced too. Chicken salad and a house triple burger with onion rings and fries. It can with bbq sauce, about 6 slices of bacon and cheese!Portions are massive and food was tasty and well cooked. Service was okay too.

I recently visited here with my friends and boyfriend for dinner one evening. We all had a main and shared a few desserts. The service was great, just a perfect amount of time to wait for your meal once ordering and the food was delicious. The portion sizes were massive and there was so much to choose from on the menu. All in all it came to a reasonable price too. Will definitely be back.

First time visiting in a while back in september and wasn't dissapointed. After a day's worth of shopping it's exactly what you need, great wee spot for a bite to eat. Staff friendly and attentive.

Utilizamos este restaurante. El personal siempre es agradable y los precios utilizados para ser bueno. Ahora los precios son muy caros. Sin embargo, decidimos darle otra ir esta noche. Mi marido tenía la carne y estaba contento con el incinerador. Pedí el hongo stroganoff. Estaba muy bien presentado y la salsa era deliciosa, pero las setas eran asquerosas. Estaban viejas y se golpea duro. Sé que todo es a ahorrar el dinero en estos días, pero sin duda podrían asegurarse de tener verduras frescas en los precios que cobran.

Vine aquí para un almuerzo el sábado pasado I/7/17 como había sido aproximadamente un año desde la última visita. Yo tenía el pescado y patatas fritas y mi esposa la carne tarta. Mientras espera una bebida que pedimos cada uno. El servicio era excelente. Me dieron un gran plato con dos peces grandes abollados, (variedad de vestidos o maltratada. Feria de cantidades) con zanahorias baby, guisantes, ensalada, patatas fritas y una rodaja de limón y un trocito de naranja. La torta de carne tenía todos los mismos extras. No se como un grasientos en ningún otro lugar en kilmarnock tan grande en mi opinión. El bar estaba limpio y ordenado y el inodoro. Puede ser más pequeña que su típicos restaurantes y bares, pero ninguno de ellos podía igualar la relación calidad-precio. Se lo recomiendo a nadie. El precio total para las dos comidas principales y una cerveza y un refresco. 25 libras. Vale la pena y bien hecho a todo el personal.

Sólo tenía pollo cajún y comida chip oceans 11 yo y mi nieto de 10 libras. 45 Cada en la actualidad se pueden describir como absolutamente terrible qué estafa tengo que alimentar a mi perro mejor cosas nuy bueno. . . . . . . . . . Se suponía que tenía que haber sido un regalo para nosotros hoy de madrugada completamente en ruinas.

La comida estaba bien, enormes porciones pero nos decepcionó un poco cuando mi marido preguntó a sustituir las patatas fritas por col (él está en una dieta baja en carbohidratos) y le habían dicho que podía haber col si tomamos como un plato de acompañamiento a un costo extra! Tanto para sus clientes agradable Creo que dijo que no desviarse del menú y no puedes añadir nada a una comida. Mi marido tomó la col (gran parte) como un plato de acompañamiento y soportó el cargo extra! Nos redujeron la propina como consecuencia!

Pieles de patatas y salsas amor, pollo y hamburguesas de mierda. NO TIENE SABOR, Gerente de Muppet no escucha. Sí gestor de pensar acerca de la comida que sirve, estoy seguro de que los estándares de la comida que quieres saber sobre la basura que sirve

Had a good night out in here on our trip to Kilmarnock. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, from the guy on the door, the bar staff and the customers. Cheap beer, cheap cocktails, didn't try the food, but the menu looked decent. Shame it wasn't very busy on a Friday night!

Established in 1992 Family Friendly Restaurant- Oceans 11 is absolutely one of the best places I have eaten.The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the Bar has recently had new additions in the form of new bar stools. Theres a Pool Table round at the bar away from the restaurant and a Modern Jukebox linked to the Internet for your choice of music to really add to the brilliant atmosphere.The menu is varied and very reasonably priced especially given the size of the very generous portions. The food is delicious throughout the entirety of the extensive menu and is always perfectly cooked to your liking. There is also a sweets/desserts menu which is again a good selection.The best thing about Oceans 11 is the top class service from all of the staff. You are always given a warm welcome and all staff are attentive, polite, and genuinely friendly.Whether you have been out for an afternoon of shopping and fancy lunch, out for drinks with friends, a 3-course meal or are planning a nite out, Oceans 11, with its regular drinks promotions and cocktails fits the bill everytime.

Another meal in Oceans and again I was beaten.Lovely food and huge portions - shouldn't have had the starter !Cannot fault anything about the place.

I can't comment on the food as I have never eaten here but as a bar it is a really nice place to drink with a few friends. The bar has a great atmosphere and every time I've been in the bartender has been great.

It is a bar with a restaurant so maybe some noise from men watching football but the food is excellent. It has the best chilli in Kilmarnock in my opinion. I have been a few times with friends and their meals have always been superb too, Staff efficient and friendly.

It is somewhere I would not have chosen BUT am glad my friend did the meal was lush as was desert will be back

We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Tuesday evening. The bar and waiter service was very friendly and efficient. My wife rated her rib-eye steak with chips whilst I opted for one of the many blackboard specials, the chicken 'hobo'. I should have asked first but when the meal arrived It comprised a lots of chicken pieces, chips and onion rings smothered in a garlic mozzarella sauce which was tasty but made everything soggy!

We've being eating at this bar diner for years and have never been disappointed with the food or service. There's a comprehensive menu with giant burgers and rib-eye steak specials. As long as you remember this is a bar with a dining area at the back and decked with baseball memorabilia.

Food is lovely and great value for money. Great service and nice staff . Always got specials on their board.

Booked here with my wife 6-30pm Saturday 16th Jan 2016 as my wife and two friends always eat here on a night out. Very clean and more an American Diner than a pub. Small but clean bar area and toilets. Good atmosphere. No Draught beer but allowed to split bottle of Newcastle with into two Shandys as I was driving. Very good menu selection I took Battered Fish and Chips and my wife had one of the Rib Eye Steaks with Peppered Sauce although you could choose from around five selections of sauces. My Wife then had Hot Chocolate Cake with ice cream. Good, quick service but not made to feel rushed. All staff friendly and would recommend you try it. For the record, two main meals, One dessert and a bottle of Newcastle. £26 exact. Well worth it. For all it is upstairs and small, it has a great atmosphere. Will be back.

Walk passed this place ...i thought looks good very nice inside got a drink at bar , then asked for a menu , got a table for 4 ..ordered of food , starters was 2 coated mushrooms and 2 prawn cocktails , main was specials ribeye , food was lovely complements to the chef , service was ok girl that took our order was grand , there was no check back on food , second girl need to up step her mark get off your fone and never serve food across the table to others and please smile ...

Thought it was about time I reviewed a wee local that's been in Kilmarnock for years now. Oceans is the best place in Kilmarnock for a burger, there is no doubt about that! Calling it pub grub may also be a bit harsh as it's better than that, it's more like an American diner because it has the decor and good quality food in large portions so it definitely lives up to its name. If your a light eater that only moans when you get too much on your plate I would suggest you go elsewhere, but if your hungry or just appreciate big American style meals then this is definitely for you. They have special oceans burgers which are superb but definitely for the big eater as they have 2 or 3 burgers in them. I had the Mac n cheese burger which was on the special and it was amazing but embarrassingly I couldn't finish it! Lastly the staff are great, brilliant pub with decent priced drinks. For anyone that doesn't live in killie and are passing through, I'd definitely recommend popping in here for lunch!

Went here for staff leaving party meal , very good choice of food big range of burgers , lots for ur money , big portions , very well priced , other meals catered for too , relaxed atmosphere , hidden gem in killie , would never have Thought of going there but will definitely return , very well done

Daughter raves about this place so was chuffed when she took me for lunch. Just had a cheeseburger, salad and chips - burger was 100% beef but to be honest was tasteless and had to look for the cheese, no relish either. Removed the huge segment of orange (skin and pith included) from the salad immediately - you're either fancy or not but just chucking a bit of orange on to some lettuce does not make it fancy!! Daughter had a burger with macaroni cheese (weird) - the mac n cheese was delicious but not on the burger - she liked it though! Waitress was pleasant and efficient. Regular pub fare and would probably go again but would try something different the next time.

Great food and fantastic value. We had lunch here for my sister in laws birthday and the steaks, as usual were amazing. Well cooked and presented. Very child friendly, pleasant staff and great value for money. You can't beat lunch for 3 including 2 steaks for under £25. The jack Daniels sauce alone is worth coming for. Hope I'm not driving next time as the cocktails and fish bowls look wonderful too. Can't fault it.

Nice place, good staff, nice food , the atmosphere was also good. The only bother was the wait for the food. We came in on our break from work, the wait was the only thing that let it down. By the time our food arrives we had time to eat and then dash. Good place tho. Will be back

Our favorite place for Steak-Pie. You wont get a better Steak-Pie, than Oceans 11. FANTASTIC. We eat there every week, it is Steak-Pie every time. Cant see past this restaurant. 100%

Visited Oceans for a quick meal early Saturday night . Looking at the specials menu they had a small 6oz Ribeye with sauce for £8.95 . Looked good so I asked to upgrade to a 12oz Ribeye . I was informed that I would have to order the standard 12oz steak meal at £15.95 , plus an extra £3.45 FOR THE SAUCE ??? . I went for just the standard meal consisting of an ok steak with undercooked chips and overcooked veg . The mushrooms and onions were not good also . My wife had a chicken dish where the meat was good but all accompanyments were inedible . Not the quick hearty meal we both were expecting from here ! I think less on the plate but more on the quality is required . A good bar for a drink and possibly a burger if food is required .

Been here on many occasions, had everything from the jack Daniels steak sizzler to southern fried chicken with coleslaw and New York chicken wrap and it's all delicious. Tastes fresh and good portions for your money. Great customer service aswell.

Being out with my wife and son for some festive drinks we decided to go to Oceans 11 in Kilmarnock on Arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table after drinks were ordered we opted for the 8oz rump steak sizzler with a Jack Daniels Sauce and onion rings my son opted for the Goodfellows burger its a tripple by the way Anyway a Big 10/10 for all three meals total value for money and at a great price Will defo be back <><><>

I've been here a couple of times over the past year and they offer good pub grub. Both times I've attempted their 'man vs food' style burgers (current score man 1 food 1).Great value for the amount of food you receive. Pleasant staff are very accommodating.If your needing a spot of Sunday recovery food - you can't go far wrong.

If you like burgers or steak and chips, this is the place for you. Great portions and massive selection. A rib eye steak (sometimes upgraded to sirloin) for under £9 with choice of sauce. Triple burgers of such proportions they are awkward to eat are about the same price. For the less experienced burger eaters a sweet afterwards may be a step too far. Normal size burgers are about £6 or £7 but will leave space if you like dessert. I have lived in the town for 30 years and never thought to use this place until a few months ago. I got a pleasant surprise about the food. The access is awkward, being upstairs and the diner is at the back so you have to work your way through a bar which feels like a man's type pub. The diner doesn't feel like that and on the occasions that I have eaten, the customers are mainly couples or families. The staff have been very nice.The décor is a little tired but the good food, good value and nice reception from the staff make up for that. They seem to have problems with the wireless credit card reader. I have eaten there 4 times, twice we had to give up with the credit card due to multiple failed connections and another time it worked on the second attempt. We resolved it using cash but a scenario like that could induce embarrassment on a first date.
