We had a fantastic evening. Our waitress Jaimee was brilliant, very informative and knowledgeable. The meal was delicious, served with a smile and half price thanks to the Eat Out scheme.

Popped in for a drink in the beer garden and ended up staying for dinner. Brilliant service nice to see all the staff smiling faces. Food was lovely and the air con is amazing as it’s 34 degrees. Manager presented us with menus waitress took our order Thanks for a lovely night

This was the first time we had eaten out since being in lockdown. All the staff were very helpful and clearly explained the new arrangements to keep everyone safe in the restaurant. The food was lovely and we had great service from Rebecca. Thank you!

Despite this being the final night open for this restaurant due to the government closing all public places for an undetermined amount of time.The atmosphere was still upbeat despite being almost empty when usually a jam packed Friday before mothers-day.Our server Rebecca B gave us amazing service, she was attentive and helpful in her advice on the menu. i had the Mixed grill and my partner had the surf and turf. Both meals arrived promptly and well cooked, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and finished it off with a pudding each, sticky toffee pudding and a cheesecake.I am looking forward to this place reopening after this hopefully short term closure due to the Coronavirus and the governments closure of all public places.

Rebecca B gave excellent customer service. The meal was good, although the beef was a bit grisly , the gammon was really good value.

We ate at the Beefeater Oakley Hay as a change from our usual eateries, and while it is still 'pub grub', it is well cooked, and served in a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly, although our food took a little longer to arrive than anticipated. However, our streaks were cooked to perfection, and that made up for the slight delay. Price-wise, it was on the expensive side, and a similar meal, would be cheaper in a standard pub. Would I recommend it? Yes. Good food, well prepared and cooked, but a bit pricey.

I went for dinner on Sunday with the family and now i can see why this place is so busy all the time.. it was amazing ! My sirloin was cooked perfect ! Very nice restaurant with great quality food which i would say is for a good price , wonderful happy and helpful staff i will defiantly be returning ! :)

Half an hour for the starter, an hour for the main, and they weren’t rammed busy. Waitress tried hard, but I would be reluctant to recommend.

Food came out over cooked and so.e bits even burnt was not what was written on the menu the older female who saved us was very inattentive to our table never asked if our food was ok and never ask to replenish our drinks had to go over to the bar witch I have never had to do there before a very disappointing meal

Delicious food as always, I had the lamb rump and I can't fault it. We all enjoyed our meal and I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day.

Paid £10 for this which is absolutely disgusting for money! Not only that I ordered my meal too which didnt arrive with this meal, after 20 minutes I asked about my meal and they took a further 15 minutes to come back and basically say they had lost it. Waited another 20 minutes for my meal which didnt look anything special looked like it had just been thrown on the plate,instead of apologising for being rubbish they just offered my mum another meal, staff just pushed passed my chair didnt care they had knocked into it. Definitely will not be returning to this restaurant in future absolutely disgusting staff members

Dined here for the last three nights, food was well prepared and presented well, service was efficient and friendly. We found breakfast to be very rigid e.g. there was only the continental or the full breakfast so if you are a small eater it works out to be a little pricey. All in all good place to eat

We visited Beefeater Oakley Hay this morning for breakfast, having never visited before, I must say I was very impressed not only with the quality and service of the breakfast but also the friendliness and efficiency of the staff who I believe were Kyle and Pam. After this visit I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend for anyone thinking of attending.

Came in this morning with my husband and had a wonderful breakfast , normally let down with buffets & service to go along with it but this was great , food was to a high standard and the young man went over and above to make sure everything was perfect he was lovely ! couldn’t fault a thing Thankyou !23/10/2019

Went here used to eat at another place but have changed to going here as staff are great more friendly and polite cant do enough for u all meals look amazing and the steak was fantastic very tasty

My sister took my husband and I for a belated birthday sunday lunch for my husband. We have been here a couple of times previously and the food was generally ok, however on this particular instance it wasn't. After what seemed like waiting a long time our meals finally arrived, my sister and I both had the sunday lunch, which we were both looking forward to, what a disappointment, although the chicken was nice and hot the vegetables were a very lukewarm, when I told the waitress she apologised and did offer to get us some more, which would have meant another long wait so we declined. The dessert was a laughing matter I chose the melting bomb, which did not melt, apparently when the chocolate sauce is poured over it this chocolate bomb should melt, well the sauce was again warm and bomb solid, I explained the obvious and once again she offered to replace being in a restaurant all afternoon is not my idea of a nice time. Money was taking off the bill and two desserts all very well but in my opinion should have been done right the first time. Won't be going again.

My friend & I have just had a great Meal. We were greeted by a friendly Waiter who showed us to our pre booked table. Our waitress carolann was friendly, chatty & attentive making our lunchtime most enjoyable. We shall be returning very soon.

Stopped for quick lunch. £5 bargain for fish and chips. Staff were polite service was quick and food hot and fresh what more do I need. Would use again if in the area.

We have visited many times and never had a problem. Visited on a Friday night and it was madness.We had to ask and wait for everything, the service was awful, missing items and dirty glasses the very basics1st time that I can remember not leaving a tip. I had my card thrown at me when not leaving a tip. This just about sums up the servers attitude.

Use to come here quite a bit but will be having second thoughts in future. It was definitely over priced for the food which wasn’t great

We were staying locally and chose the restaurant because of location and menu choices. We were lucky to get a table as it was very busy, but the staff very friendly and our waitress was really good. Our mains were nice (had different chicken dishes) with proper fat chips. As for afters, the sticky toffee sponge pudding was so light and full of flavour, but the chocolate torte that came with a tea was tiny. That was the only part that stopped it getting full marks, as the price was reasonable too.

Visited on Sunday last minute booking online and warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Friendly fast service and good food. Without a doubt better than previous visits Looking forward to returning

Although I use this restaurant regularly it was the first time that I had come as part of a large party. The food and service remained at the high standard we've come to expect and our guests were very pleased and impressed.

I’ve eaten here many times over the past few years and it’s always good. Good service and good food.I usually book if staying on hotel although they never seem to actually reserve a table. Tonight I got seated in the family area after a walk around the restaurant, I didn’t mind the walk but the table was not suitable as surrounded by kids watching videos on phones.Shame as the food was good as normal!

I have spent the last week staying in the premier inn for a work trip and had the pleasure to dine at the beefeater most days and I must say it was amazing ! As I work away a lot I have been to many different beefeaters , this place has blown me away The food everyday from breakfast to dinner was excellent , amazing quality and great service every time , the place seems to be well run & very popular as it’s was busy every night and I can see why.great team , very clean & lovely place would definitely recommend

Ate here over the weekend and the staff were really friendly and helpful. excellent choice on the menu and the drinks were reasonably priced as well.

Totally agree with previous comments. No complaints about our breakfast as we were aware of the coffee machine not working. Four adults and a grandchild had full breakfast. Great service Thank you Pam and James

The Beefeater that is Oakley Hay was great when I visited with my family on a spur of the moment thing. We was heading for other restaurants when I merely mentioned that it would be easier to go to Corby's Beefeater...and how right was I. The staff were amazing and I could easily have given this Beefeater an excellent rating except for one relatively small but significant issue...their new side order of Onion Clusters. £3.99 is the cost of this side order and being an onion fanatic I was expecting a delight. Instead I got a relatively small bowl arrive at the table and inside it was two very small what I assume was the onion clusters...each made from a handful (a child's handful that is) of chopped onions dipped together in batter and dropped in a fryer...£3.99 for that?It's amazing how folk talk about the smallest of negatives, but when it comes to food I don't like being fleeced of my hard earned money, and the Beefeater Onion Clusters side order definitely is daylight robbery.Fortunately, their rack of ribs saved the day, although they definitely need to consider serving better chips, and the small dollop of coleslaw looked lost on the side of the plate too, so not worth the effort in the kitchen, next time you can keep your coleslaw!The family enjoyed their food and I say again, the staff were anazing, which also adds to me giving this restaurant a V.Good rating...just!

Called in on a busy Friday night for a meal. Despite not booking, we were given a table. Service was good considering it was packed. Food was cooked to order, and exactly as ordered. Prices fair. Can't fault the food or the service.

We had a family meal,tried the tandori burger from the new menu it was awesome. All meals served together and arruved hot. Service was great, staff very knowledgeable about the menu.

We have breakfast here every Sunday morning as our little treet, breakfast is great value for money and selection is incredible but what makes this place so different from others and keeps us coming back is the manager "James" and his incredible Staff, one in particular "Melanie" these 2 people are what makes the difference when it comes to customer service, fantastic, James would not be out of place in a 5 star restaurant, smiling as you come in and ensuring your every need is catered for, Melanie is the same always helpful and is on hand to assist first timers, we can't praise them enough Rab and Allison

All you can eat from a hot buffet is perfect to get us all a greeat start to the day. Tasty food, plenty of it and a clean environment to enjoy each other’s company.

Around about 1.30p.m. on Sunday 12th May 2019 my wife and I found ourselves in the vicinity of the OAKLEY HAY which is a BEEFEATER in CORBY,Northants. We decided that we needed some lunch,so decided we would visit. This was a pleasant surprise. We were shown a table straight away,even though it was very busy. We ordered our drinks and then we were allowed a reasonable time to decide our menu. When this came in was piping hot,not barely warm that sometimes happens in some of these establishments.The waitress REBECCA was excellent and very professional.The food was excellent.

The waitress was lovely. There is no criticism laid at her.We had a 40% off main meal voucher so we thought we would have something nice from the menu. My husband and I both had fillet steaks. 45 minutes after we ordered they arrived. The steaks were nice , a bit over cooked on the outside but were lovely and tender inside. However, if I had paid the regular price (around £19) I would feel overcharged. The steaks were so small even for fillet steak.!!! I opted for a salad and jacket potato with my meal. I have never in my life seen such a tiny tiny jacket potato .I would have felt embarrassed to serve this to anyone, a disappointing meal. It will be a long time before we go there again.

Great service, Chicken Sunday lunch and mixed grill well up to expectation. Vegetarian wellington had too much pastry, not enough filling. Overall a good meal.

Every now and then I like to treat myself and the wife and we decided to use our Taste Card at this place. It made what would have been an£80 bill into a £50 bill which for 2 of us is a great saving and even greater value for money.The food was great and service good.

My family and I always visit for Breakfast. The guys there treat us like friends which we value. The breakfast is excellent and always hot and fresh. If I had one complaint. Bring back the flapjack...was simply the best flapjack ever.

I meet my son for lunch on a regular basis. We have always been happy with our meals and service. We visited recently and had the 2 meals for £10, which has a good choice and is served very hot. Quite a few people in the day we visited.

Rebecca, our waitress, always looks after us very well. Rib-eye steak is always great and dietary requirements are easily catered for. Highly recommended!

We visited this restaurant with friends in February and before we ordered our food the waitress said that several items on the menu were unavailable because they were launching a new menu. Last week when the new menu was launched, we visited again and before we ordered, the waitress said that two of the meals we wanted were unavailable. We had a voucher for 40% off but still consider it expensive for what you get.I was very surprised that one of the men preparing the food had quite a full beard and this wasn’t covered. A lady in the next table to us said that she was going to complain at the end of the evening. We love the atmosphere and ambiance of the Oakkey Hay but wouldn’t recommend the food. The staff are always friendly and approachable.

Like many others have remarked this restaurant is so convenient for the adjacent Premier Inn. Good job because it's quite a long way out of Corby itself. Choice of steaks is good, cooked as you asked for and well trimmed. It soon became busy after 17.00 with families with children. Although the children eating free is supposed to be for the customers staying at the Premier Inn it seems a blind eye approach is taken. I ordered a pint of real ale but when served it was cloudy. May have cleared but didn't. I mentioned to the waitress who thought there may be another barrel ready but wasn't. However, I was asked if I wanted anything else as replacement and not charged. Now that what I call service. Staff very helpful and welcoming.

Arrived at the Beefeater where my sister had booked a table ,over a week ago, for 7 people at 7.30pm.We gave our name only to be told that there was no booking under that name !The staff ended up pushing 4 small tables together to accommodate us. Only problem was that it was right in front of the main doors and every time customers came and went we were met with a very cold gust of wind, on one of the coldest nights of the year !Other tables were served before us even though they had arrived after us.We were told by a young man that he would get us a free drink each. These never arrived and were not taken off the final bill as he had gone home !The disabled parking area is about as far away from the front entrance as it is possible to be ! One of our party is disabled and another two were over 70 years old.

Popped into the Oakley Hay Beefy for a quick lunch and because we had a 40% discount voucher. Really enjoyed my lamb duo burger and tripled cooked chips. Hubby had lobster stack which he said was also good. Service was really good, mind you it was midday and had only just opened so wasn't busy, so was a vast improvement on my last visit in April 18.

Your average food nothing exciting about the food the staff try but some don’t not a place I will be visiting anytime soon.

Food on the whole was good but not really worth the money. We had a 50% off mains code which made it much closer to value. One thing that irked me a bit was the 'triple cooked chips.' These were not as described and certainly not triple cooked as I understand it. They looked and tasted just like chunky frozen chips from Aldi. Disappointing.

Visited the Beafeater along with 6 friends for a pre Christmas get together ... We arrived for our 8pm booking ... our waitress was lovely ... a few items were not available to order from the menu ... but it didn’t affect our choice.... our meals came out in a good time and were lovely and hot ... prices are a bit high ... but we had a 40% off main meal voucher which was brilliant ...

Fab food, great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Becca C was our waitress and she could not have been any more attentative, she made our experience even more enjoyable with her smile and positivity.

When we arrived we got a lovely friendly welcome by a young man who showed us to our table. We all decided to try the traditional xmas meal which was absolutely delicious Carolanne our waitress was friendly and helpful. Overall we 6 ladies had a lovely day.

Could have gotten the same thing for less at McDonald's and gotten more for our money. Never again!!

Visited this restaurant last night. Plenty of choice pleasant surroundings but cool enough to require a coat. We were served by Aimee who was fantastic.

7 Adults and 6 Teenagers Had a fantastic meal. All the Staff were amazing...Hannah waitress gave us excellent service. Tom the duty manager was so attentive and ensured we had a fantastic experience 10/10

We arrived early on a trip, early enough to enjoy the promotional menu. The food was good and overall our meals were reasonable value. However, we thought that the 'normal' price menu was relatively expensive. We would have gone elsewhere.

Went last week to celebrate my birthday. Partner chose the lamb. One of the most expensive on the menu. The quantity of meat especially after the wait was insulting. Five pieces tiny pieces. Even the couple next to us asked when the rest of the meal was coming.

Food, excellent quality ...buffet breakfast hot and fresh. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very well organised restaurant with great service without feeling rushed after you've finished eating. Thoroughly recommend to everyone.

Went recently with a voucher, great value food, and Kyle our server is a credit to the company. We felt he was generally pleased to servers us and couldn't do enough.

We regularly visit as a family (1 time per month). When the food and service is good, it’s good... but more often than not recently the quality is so hit and miss!

Its been a while since we have been back due to previous bad experience. Restaurant re-vamp and change in menus and portions I have seen a change. On this occasion the steak was cooked well the beef burgers and sides were filling. Only one beer on the vast beer menu was available ?

I received my food cold, as they brought it to wrong table. After 10min that person brought it back and the waitress took it cold to my table. Of course I refused and sent it back to kitchen. They just put new hot fries on plate and returned it. After 2-5minutes eating all was cold again.

Sorry Guys...although I chose the cheaper lunch menu I was speachless at the tiny portion of peas chips and paprika chicken. With a pint of coke...the bill for this was over £11.00. No smiles, no return.

Looking for alternatives for breakfast before a long day and have always been impressed with all you can eat venues. Therefore, we thought we’d give it a try and were delighted with the quality of the service and food. We had two large meals and the children both ate for free (£18). What amazing value!! Would happily go there again.

Great meal had here 4 of us had the Christmas dinner which was excellent and served nice and hot. The lads opted for a mixed grill and they were not disappointed. Great service from the staff.

I have to say I was really surprised at the quality of my steak, it was also cooked to perfection. Service was great and overall good value for money.

Have called in a couple of times ,on spec, even though they have been very busy each time they have managed to fit us in. Staff are very welcoming, genuinely friendly and helpful. Food has never disappointed and service has always been swift. Would recommend without hesitation.

We visited on a Tuesday lunchtime and decided to eat from the festive menu. I chose the salmon with prosecco sauce and my aunt had the roast turkey. Both were excellent. We then opted for the sticky toffee crumble with mincemeat ice cream which was delicious. Efficient and friendly service would visit again.

Food was fine, just the usual Beefeater everyday normal. Service was also fine, however it’s a HUGE bug bear of mine to be served by staff with long hair not suitably tied back.. I really hate to see it flopping over the face while they serve you drinks / food or take an order, yak . Come on girls tie your hair back.. health and hygiene and all that

We've had another lovely lunch at our local beefeater. Both starters and mains were delivered up in a timely fashion and served piping hot. We ordered our meals from the lunch menu with 2 bottles of coke and the total bill was less than £25.00. Thanks to Mel for excellent service too.

Having reviewed places as far apart as Cap Verde,Iceland,Aruba,Dresden Prague and Vienna it is nice to go local to where most of my family live! (So back to the review) ..... The Lamb was delicious however the roast potatoes for our Sunday roast had that starchy re-heated feel.....but enjoyed the meal overall at what must be considered a reasonable price these days. (Ten Pounds 99p)

Dined here to celebrate a 50th birthday on 9th November and was really impressed. The porterhouse steak is without doubt the best I have ever tasted, all four of us were completely satisfied with our meals. The service was first class, all staff were friendly, helpful, and polite, more importantly they all looked as if they enjoyed their work! Will definitely return very soon.

Our family met up at this beefeater, as we all live in different parts of the country and have not seen one another for 40 years. There were nine of us and the staff could not have made us more welcome.. We actually stayed there for seven hours, after eating our meals at a leisurely, we then sat in the bar area. The food was delicious, hot and tasty.We will not hesitate to meet up here again for any excuse for a family meet up..
