Oakleaf Restaurant in Magherafelt

I got the chicken and broccoli pasta and it was so bland,I can honestly say I'd prefer the bachelors packet one you make at home yourself.the broccoli was raw just horrible.have ate in here a few times before and it's not good at all.will be the last time ☹️☹️

Dinner | £10–20 I messaged this restaurant to let them know to get rid of Contaminated meat that they served last night,but unfortunately they did not have the decency to get back to me. I wanted to warn others so they wouldn't have the same fate I had. As they did not acknowledge my message here I am. Also check out all the 1 star reviews. I ate here last night as a solo diner, I sat for about 10 mins before anyone took my order, no big deal I wasn't in a rush. I ordered the steak pita, it was well over 25 mins waiting for it, once again i didnt complain and that was OK. I did think they'd forgotten about it. When it arrived it was drowned in sauce is the only way to describe it. But overall it was a fairly nice meal. On the drive home I began to feel unwell and long story short I was violently sick with food poisoning. Hours of being sick ended me up in a&e. I would advise avoiding this place based on my experience and the fact that the establishment never bothered to even get back to me to apologise or acknowledge any of it. So hence the 1 star and wouldn't recommend it.

errr right.. so i was w my family rigjt and dont get me wrong the chips were LOVELYY absolute scran. and the music was fab.. smiths on top>>>>.. anyways. the owner was extremely rude to my granny, etc. the food was extremely expensive and it kinda tasted minging. dont get me wrong if the food was lovely we would of left without complaining. the steak tasted like rubber, the coslaw is minging and nearly sent me into a cardiac arrest. thanks, lots of love tara xx

This place is the worst place I've been, the kids meals pasta was a tin of plum tomatoes chopped up mince and pasta,it was bland DISGUSTING, I had to have it replaced, the adults meals were bad now,soup of the day was three veg chopped in water and their special wheaten bread was like eating a brick, hard as the road, my daughter got coleslaw and it was sour absolutely disgusting, my meal chicken and steak lol, the steak was burnt on one side well to be fair you could have made a grand pair of boots out of it,dry as hell, the whole dinner experience was disgusting, the staff serving our table was very dull and didn't like I complained, however she had nothing on the miserable disgruntled owner, I asked to speak to the owner and she came to the restaurant, manners of a dog, after explaining the issues to the horrible woman and the kids meal her answer was, did you see the prices we don't do gourmet meals for kids, like wtf, I then told her about the wheaten bread and she said what we make it here it's our recipe lol 😂 i then got angry and told her, your food is rotten ( in a less polite manner), my bill was £129.00 after arguing back and forth with a member of her staff standing there looking like she was a wounded animal and was used to telling the odd porkies about coming to our table several times to see if everything was ok, I throw her £110 pounds and told her in not so polite manner to f o, it was the most stressful dinner and disgusting food and I'll mannered owner and staff I've ever ever experienced in all the time I've eaten out, avoid at all cost, absolutely disgusted, the owner is under the impression her food is the best, if you don't have happy costumers, you don't have a business you weren't even a nice person never again will. I go there and if I could give no stars I would,

Called in for lunch yesterday and waited for over 30 minutes with no one taking a drinks or food order. Other members of staff cleaning the tables beside us but totally ignored us sitting there. We decided to walk out and the waitress chased us into the car park to apologise saying she forgot about us. Important to note there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant and they had their dinner already. The restaurant was very quiet. Will not be back. Very poor management from all staff. Absolute disgrace.

Sheena, our waitress, simply couldn't do enough. We were tired and fed up on our way to another hospital appointment, and with a smile, we left feeling happy! Breakfast for first class, more than enough and freshly cooked. I've been meaning to leave this review for ages, and every time we travel this way, we stop in, even for just a cuppa. A delightful, unforgettable experience!

This was our first time at the Oakleaf Restaurant. I booked a table for 2 last minute on 21/4/23. We had a lovely window seat. The premises are beautiful and immaculate. Background music was just that… background and not too loud like in some other restaurants. The staff were very pleasant, polite and attentive. The menu was so good we found it difficult to choose. Food was absolutely delicious. The best part was the bill… very reasonable for the food and service we had just enjoyed. Thank you Oakleaf, we will be back.

Absolutely one of the worst experiences I have had eating out. Waited 50min for food for some to arrive cold barely eatable another 2 wrong we cancelled those meals as we didnt have time to wait. they didn't put kids order we had to go ask again for their food kids were hungry in ended up cancelling most order. Waitress wasn't interested when we tried to complain. Never again

Absolutely lovely food but let down by front of house staff. There was no organisation at all. Waited for plates to be cleared for ages after dinner- really looking forward to dessert. We waited and waited. There were people who came in after getting served quicker and out before us. We just paid for one course and left. This review for 3 purely because food was lovely but honestly the waiting staff today let it down

Great food, great service and didn’t feel the need to be rushed from initial drinks order to each course etc. very relaxed and staff could not do enough to cater for every whim, will be back more regularly

Situated at the bottom of the Glenshane pass beside the Centra filling station, this beautiful restaurant , with ample parking spaces and the filling station has electric car chargers. Take yourself into this restaurant with a decent menu and lovely food ( compliments to the chef ) beautifully presented and very reasonably priced.

While travelling to Belfast for a hospital visit, I was surprised to find the Oaktree Restaurant up and running again, we stopped for Breakfast on the way up & stopped again on the way back for evening meal, Our waitress Niamh was most welcoming & friendly & changed the meal to a dinner with Mash & Veg for my wife, The kitchen staff Andre & Tanya were quick to supply the alternative, customer relations were excellent & both meals were excellent & very reasonable in price. Look forward to calling again on our way to UK in May

I travel a lot and these are easily the best services I've been too. Lovely restaurant and tasty food. Prices a bit expensive but it's a quality place, not your average services.Recommended.
