Really good food, with some great dishes not found everywhere as well as the tried and tested favourites. Great staff and very covid 19 rule compliant. Best of all the food is really good!

This appears to be a very popular and well liked Indian restaurant in this area. I went there for the first time on Eat out Help out with a local friend who goes there regularly with his family. Service and Food is very good

Ordered a takeaway on a Friday night . Food arrived in 25 minutes. The chicken balti was delicious with a hot and slightly sour flavour. All the sides were also good. I marked down a star because of a mean portion of chicken tikka starter

No sé qué es, no puedo señalarlo, pero aunque la comida no es mala, hay algo que no está del todo bien. Los precios son razonables, el servicio es bueno, pero de alguna manera nunca estoy muy contento con la comida, aunque hay muchas cosas peores, incluso en Southgate, y he estado allí varias veces. No me sirve aunque a mis amigos les guste.

Surely the best Indian restaurant around. Very comfortable and excellent service. Like my veggies so very pleased to find a most perfectly done cauliflower bhaji. And done the same way every time. The Bhuna is superb and the Afghani Ghosht will need a good appetite, probably the menu’s best.

I wanted to write this review, as this is the second time I have decided to hold a dinner party at Nujenna restaurant for 50+ guests. We were so impressed one our last booking at Nurjenna that we chose this restaurant again to hold our daughter's Holy communion gathering. From start to finish the restaurant manager ensured everything went smoothly, which took the stress off us. Staff could not have been more attentive, friendly and helpful. Again my guests were extremely impressed with the quality of food and service; also catering for my guest with special dietary requirements. The manager spent time with us prior our function to create a new menu which was within our budget,(which I must say was fabulous and mouth watering). Without a doubt I would book Nurjenna restaurant again and again for any future family occasions. We thank you once again for creating a fantastic memorable experience for us. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to hold a dinner party.

Mi esposo y yo decidimos volver por la noche del banquete de un jueves como habíamos estado antes y fue una buena relación calidad-precio y la comida era fabulosa. Después de esta visita sin embargo no volveremos. La mayoría del personal era miserable y la comida no era muy buena. Teníamos 2 platos principales de pollo y el pollo tenía ese sabor recalentado y la comida no tenía un sabor recién cocinado. ¿Visita muy decepcionante?

Me encanta este lugar y sigo volviendo. El servicio es excelente, la decoración es relajante y la comida es maravillosa. He probado muchos platos diferentes, volviendo a mis favoritos muchas veces, y es fantástico. Nunca he tenido prisa y, especialmente cuando he cenado en solitario, los camareros realmente me han cuidado. Es un buen valor también.

I order from Nurjenna at least once a week. Food is always great, staff are very helpful and there are many dishes that I enjoy. Every time I’ve been to the restaurant the guys are incredibly welcoming and make sure that we are well tended to. I wouldn’t go to any other Indian restaurant in the area. Definitely a place to try if you haven’t yet.

I had visited this establishment over a year ago and was amazed at the quality of food, the level of service, the outstanding level of hygiene, and a Very capable and professional service team.

Reasonably good Indian restaurant but somehow it lacks something, especially if you like really spicy food it can let you down. Still, it is definitely better than most in the area. The service is very good

My family always eat here so I thought I would give it a go with my sister. First of all, after 2 minutes of sitting down they came to take our order. We were not ready. They then kept coming over and putting pressure on us to order. We were the only ones in there so not like they were busy. Their service was awful in putting the plates down and leaning over us. Eventually the mains came. They gave us the wrong nan bread and blamed us in our order. The chicken tikka masala came and as I started eating it, the chicken was really chewy and tasted uncooked. I checked it and the other pieces and it was still raw. We told them and they took it away to make another one. However at the point we were put off our food and didn't want to eat anymore. They had taken the dish off the bill but wanted us to pay for everything else that we hadn't eaten. The manager was sitting a few tables away from us and refused to get up and speak to us even though we wanted to speak to him. He can get up to go to the kitchen. In the end we paid for our drinks and starters and were told to never go back.

It was a Thursday eve we went to meet out family who lives in Southgate London. Then they took us at this restaurant they suggested for a very nice Indian meal. It was an explosion of flavors and I am saying this as we were 8 in total and all ordered different stuff, so I got to taste a lot of different dishes.

Delicious food that's not overly spicy but definitely flavoursome. The staff are very friendly and easy going and that made for a really special evening. I would definitely recommend this place for small gatherings. It's also nice for couples too 🤗

Having been to Nurjenna at least a dozen times, I have to say it is my favourite Indian restaurant. The food is always excellent, the staff are friendly and the service is great. The restaurant is always immaculately clean and the decor is lovely. A relaxed atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. Highly recommended!

I can recommend this excellent suburban Indian restaurant on the High St in Southgate (near the end of the Picadilly line) All dishes had a distinctive flavour. I will return.

We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary here last night with friends. The service was excellent. The food was hot, tasty and offered some dishes I hadn’t previously tried. The price is very reasonable. Will definitely be returning very soon. 😋 yummy.

I have been to many restaurants in my time and they have all been reasonable good, but then there are those restaurants that hit you like a thunder clap. Well my good friends, may I introduce Nurjenna. Nestling amongst the shops of Southgate is an emporium of excellence i didn’t believe could be there.

I went in to get a takeaway for one. I checked the menu on the outside of the building where it clearly stated they were willing to accept credit cards – no restrictions. Before I ordered I checked to make sure that they accepted credit cards without restrictions. When I presented my credit card they declined it, saying that it had to be over £10. Only when I turned on my heels to exit, did they concede. The curry itself – the basic chicken option, with plain rice – was full of oil but tasted okay with good quality chicken pieces. I will return again as I think I was unlucky with this choice. They need to get rid of the front of house greeter; he had a face like a well kept grave; devoid of any warmth or charm. Other staff members were cheerful enough though. I wish the outfit the best of luck.

My wife and I were on a trip to London for our 37th wedding anniversary, this restaurant was recommended by a friend. We were not disappointed the staff and service was great, and it was also very good value for money.

I won’t order from here again!!! Twice in a row.. food missed out on my delivery and the food spilt everywhere in the bag. Ruined! Called for a resolution and was told “not our problem.” And “Nothing we can do about it.”

We celebrated my father's birthday here, with around 37 guest. It was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The food was of a very high standard, and was freshly prepared- and my guests commented how much they enjoyed the food.The manager was also able to accommodate my guests with food allergies by preparing a special menu, which made a little girl very happy! The menu for the other guests was plentiful of a variety of dishes. The manager and staff was extremely polite and responsive to my guests needs. The decor of this resturant is contemporary and classy.

I can only say the best of this restaurant. The food is superb, the waiters are the most polite people you can ever meet, and it is truly a great dining experience - at a very reasonable price! Will go back regularly as in my experience this is one of the best restaurants in the Southgate area.

Really fantastic and varied food. It's far beyond the usual Indian where they just use very similar base sauces. This place is the real deal. Also from a service perspective they can't do enough for you. Try the fish curry!

i see this place on line sounded good ,so i tryed it tonight not great ! poperdoms tasted old or cooked in old oil,the madras was poor lacked any bite /watery, rice fine, sag aloo over powered with garlic and over priced at £3.75 the meal was on the table in 2mins so IT MUST BE VERY FRESH?????????and apart from 3 loudmouth yobs swearing we where the only ones in there, so there was no rush .....for food only to leave,,

Very nice restaurant, as soon as we arrived the door was opened for us seated straight away, the restaurant is nicely decorated very modern, food tasty we had the prawn cocktail for starter and king prawn masala for main both delicious dishes would recommend price not bad either.

By far the best Indian restaurant we have visited since Dishooms. The food is unreal. Fresh. Tasty. Creamy. The service is great. The take away is just as good. We are so grateful it’s local to us. We used to go to the winchmore Hill...

El servicio era excelente, muy amable y atento, pero no en la cima y Abu era una estrella! ! Mi esposa no es un ventilador enorme de la comida picante, y no estaba seguro de lo que han elegido como entrante y uno que pensaba que era suave, nos trajimos a la Abu una selección de 4 entradas diferentes para ella a probar incluso el que ella había elegido para ver lo que eran como para ayudar en el futuro, qué toque fabuloso.

My second visit to Nurjenna and I think that will be it for us. We were approached by the manager and asked how are food was. We said it was tasty. However I had ordered a King Prawn dish. I said they were the smallest king prawns I'd seen in an Indian restaurant and there was a very small amount of them. I actually thought they had been chopped up to make them look more on the plate. Very disappointing for £12.95 - West end prices. He said he would mention it to the chef. Not sure if he did as he disappeared and we never saw him for the rest of the night. Not even a drink on the house offered. Decor of the restaurant is really lovely. Food wise it's nothing very special. Far better Indian restaurant on the roundabout a few mins walk away.

Aunque comimos todo en nuestro plato no tuvimos la experiencia de que muy a menudo la sensación después de la comida rica comida sentado en nuestros estómagos - Pruebas de excelente cocina, excelente técnica ingredientes o ambos. Nos gustó mucho el barrio de naranja fresco servido en la final y apreciamos el personal no tratando de empujar el postre o alcohol. Muy ansiosos nuestra próxima visita.

Not relishing the thought of cooking for 20 people for a family birthday we ordered a buffet delivery from nurjenna. Wow, fantastic food and great service. They laid everything out in hot buffet dishes and our guests helped themselves. Afterwards they returned and took all the dishes, taking the hassle out of clearing up. Highly recommend, great value and a top owner of the business makes this a winner

We have been coming here for a couple of years now and never leave with out total satisfaction. Very good food, excellent atmosphere and always welcoming staff. Also we have been here with larger groups and they never have a problem accomadaring a large party. Well worth a visit

My husband and I went here for the first time last night (1st June) for their banquet night for £12.95 per person. It was fantastic!!!!! The food was delicious, the service was superb and the waiters were friendly and welcoming. The amount of food you get for the Thursday night banquet is well worth it, we could not finish it. We will definitely be coming back. I can't wait!!!! Would highly recommend this restaurant.

It's a really good curry house and it's affordable. Their curries, nans and grills are delicious. I've eat in and taken away and both are great quality. They're extremely friendly and give wonderful service. Really efficient delivery service and the take card payments at your door. It's definitely my favourite in the local area.

Went on Friday night with my boyfriend. We hadn't booked but we're offered a table with no fuss.It was a busy evening and the staff were flat out attending tables but never appeared harassed and managed expectations well.We had a tandoori grill and a prawn dish. These were accompanied by fresh hot nans s lovely fresh salad and assorted dips.Nice contemporary decor and a relaxed atmosphere.

Went with my family just after 6pm fancying an Indian meal. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant my family was warmly ( in a cold night ) welcomed by a member of staff and gave us a spacious table perfect for a family with kids. We was immediately served pappodams and house special chutneys which got us ready to order our appetisers. I was on a calories count so opted to order Sheek kebab, lamb Tikka, chicken tikka ( very tender - the best ), prawn puri ( for the kids ) and vegetable Somosa ( made in house ). My children and my Mrs are very fussy eaters but after trying and sharing the starters I quote one of my kid saying " dad you must try the chicken Tikka with the mint sauce it is out of this world " she was right. I knew after Finishing my starters that tonight needs to be a cheat night on calorie count because I did not want to miss out enjoying the main. We ordered King prawn Bhuna ( Mrs requested extra hot ), Korhi Chicken, meat bhuna and Tarka Dhall, sides we ordered plain rice pillau rice and nan. My favourite was Korhi Chicken but the Mrs enjoyed the King Praun bhuna and we all enjoyed Tarka Dhall, but each of the dish was amazing. We finished off having Malai Khulfi. By the time we asked for the bill the restaurant was fully packed with customers and everyone looked to be enjoying just like us. I would definitely recommend anyone to go and try the food you will not regret it. Thank you to all the staff and we will surely be coming back soon.

After reading several reviews ( By you fellow naughty people ) Aren't I a charmer?!?! I decided this would be the best place to go for a lovely curry, And let's face it people we all love a cheeky weekend curry ! Arrived at the restaurant around 7 PM on a Sat and to my surprise it wasn't that busy - Greeted by nice front of house and shown to our table, Now one thing I will say is the decor is lovely very modern and relaxing ( Big thumbs up ) Poppadoms ordered now it's time for the drink .. Oh dear .. bottle of vodka for me .. ha I'm joking :-) Bottle of beer for me and the lovely missus decided to try a Strawberry Daquiree ( Bad choice ) Beer arrived promptly but the cocktail took a good 5 minutes to arrive ( Bare in mind the restaurant only had a few tables and the bar area was customer free also ) Cocktail finally arrived but tasted nothing like a strawberry Daquiree ( Did offer the old dear a sip of me beer ) But needless to say she wasn't impressed ! Starters Lamb Chat and Sheek Kebab both very very tasty, Shame that the Sheek kebab isn't served on the sizzling iron skillets like most places do but hey you can't have it all, Portions where slightly small than usual but quality was there - Starters finished it was obviously time for another beer .. Just to wash it all down... Honest .. ! As the cocktail wasn't nice the missus decided she'd have a large glass of Pinot Grigio .. Well at least that's what she wanted.. The waiter said sorry we don't do large glasses in Pinot? Errrm... okay... She'll have the bottle then ... Sure sir of course was the reply .. Strange I thought, Anyway the waiter arrives back with my beer and no wine? Inquired as to where the wine was to which the reply was sorry we've run out of Pinot Griigo.. Oh dear .. Okay she'll have a different bottle of white wine, Now both me and my partner saw alot of talking going on around the bar area ( For such a nice looking bar area it's clear it wasn't stocked very well ) Then one waiter hurried out the door and arrived back with a luke warm bottle of Pinot, A nice touch - Would have been even nicer if the ice bucket he put the wine in .. actually had ice in ! So abit of a too do with the drinks ! Mains arrived and again both we're very tasty, wasn't greasy had the right amount of flavour and spice, Not sure if the breads are done in an actual tandoor was they seemed very pale . But all in all was an enjoyable meal excluding the hassle of the drinks, All in all came too 75 pounds which is reasonable - all staff seemed nice and helpful, Only slight problem was the drink situation, Other than that food wise was very nice.

Easily the best Indian in the area, food is always lovely and the service is with a smile too, even remembered us when we had only visited once before. Absolutely dreadful , to be avoided at all costs. We had chicken and vegetable , paneer tikka for starter. Easily the worst Indian food we have ever had the displeasure to taste.

We had walked past here may a time and said must pop in one day. Well we did just that and so pleased we did. This is an excellent restaurant that I cannot fault. Service excellent, food excellent, surroundings excellent. I'd encourage you to visit, you wont regret it. Decent value as well, you have a wetherspoon pub next door that you can nip in to for a quickie before, and parking is close by in the the Asda supermarket where you can park free for up to 3 hours and get a bottle of wine to take back home for a night cap. Top marks, the Indian restaurant of choice for us in the future.

When I was walking front of the shop I saw award winning sign.me and my boyfriend went on friday nite.it was very nice atmosphere. tasty quality food and best price.i could recomend to everyone.Thank you for everyone that works there for professional service and food.

A very big spacious restaurant with lovely decor which is very inviting. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and polite.Food was very nice they are not huge portions but the quality is good and flavour was exquisite. Nice ambience

Thursday night £12.95 deal was seriously good, the choices we made would have easily have been over £25 each. Staff so friendly and manager with great attitude, everything was delicious and the free Indian tea was and even better treat. Since our local Indian restaurant closed down we have struggled to find a replacement. A few weeks ago we ordered a take away from Nurjenna and were really impressed! We have since been into the restaurant and had several more deliveries. I must say that the staff are all very welcoming and friendly and the food is great, I would even say better than the restaurant we previously loved.We will definitely be back!

I'm lodging in Southgate for a few months, so this is me trying out all the food outlets one by one! As a brummie, I though I'd see if Southgate could produce a good Indian food experience, and Nurjenna certainly didn't disappoint.I made a point of trying the Bhajis as they were recommended, and they were just OK, and no big deal. Not horrible, but not as good as "spindly" ones you get at good place nowadays. A good test of any curry house is just to order the house curry. The chicken was excellent, with perfectly cooked keema rice and a deliciously sweet fresh nan. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nurjenna, and would go there again if I wasn't working through all the Southgate eateries. Well, actually I might.

I've been into the restaurant only once, and was hugely impressed with the decor (much improved from the restaurant that was previously there), aswell as the food and service. Since patronising the restaurant we now regularly order takeaway to the point that when we forget to order our daughter's ubiquitous coconut ice cream served in the coconut shell, they remind us that we may want it (as once they had to make a second journey as we forgot it in the initial order).Their back story is good too - I like a local business and this is the second restaurant they have with the first in Potters Bar (or possibly St Albans). Good to see local success.

The restaurant itself is very warm and welcoming. The service and the food makes this a great restaurant. Lovely tastes, a friendly smile and great value for money. Thank you

I went here with my husband, after having coming here several times already previous to this. We had a meal with several drinks. When we received the bill, we were clearly overcharged on the drinks, they randomly put a whole figure down and when I asked him to explain what we were paying for he just walked off! I calculated it myself with a calculator and there was about a £15 difference. We paid the incorrect bill and left. We were so disappointed by his behaviour as this was one of our favourite restaurants. We certainly will not be returning. In addition, the food quality has slowly been going downhill.

Amazing food, incredible naan bread and beautiful bhajjis! Incredible service. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout dinner. Went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night!

I have just moved to the area and looking for a new restaurant, so found Nurjeena on here. Before booking I wanted to look at a menu so I Facebooked the restaurant to ask if they had a menu I could look at online and had a reply very quickly offering for a menu to be delivered. As promised it arrived a couple of hours later. I have never experienced service like this and have now just phoned to book . Can't wait to visit

I've always heard that Nurjenna is the place to beat. I had the food delivered and will agree with all the great reviews on here. The food was freshly made and the taste was divine wow factor. I won't be going anywhere else I can assure you. Thank you so much for making Southgate a better place.

We read the reviews for this restaurant and so thought we would give it a try and we are so glad we did. The service was attentive, the food superb and the light effects in the restaurant were great too. I know that we will visit again.

Nurjenna and my family moved to Southgate within weeks of each other, and they were a huge part of our success in settling in. The warm and friendly team couldn't do enough for us when we went to relax and escape the mayhem of moving. We consider them neighbours and friends now. And by the way, the food is terrific.

Wow. Staff amazing. Food was just awesome. I had the lamb shank. Marinated for 24 hours then slow cooked for 8 hours. Massive amount on the plate. Definitely going back

Excellent Indian restaurant, lovely decor, waiters are friendly and helpful. Starters were nicely spiced and delicious, the lamb tikka Dopiaza was nice and tender.You can't go wrong eating here.

Excellent food, service, quality and presentation. The decor of the restaurant is clean, modern and contemporary, I travel from east London to eat here especially.
