Cannot recommend Numidie highly enough. Delicious and super friendly!

We had a great late Valentine's Day evening meal at Numidie. It's a lovely little restaurant (and bar downstairs), very intimate and romantic. The food was excellent throughout: we had a mixed meze platter followed by a lamb tagine with prunes and chicken tagine. All beautifully cooked. Thanks for a lovely evening!

Really nice food, I had the Lamb and my partner the sea bass. Great flavours. Service was slow.

We are so happy to have found this place and can't wait for our next visit! The food was absolutely delicious. We shared the Baba ganoush to start then a Kofta tagine and duck leg tagine each. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Good portion sizes too! The staff were very friendly and attentive and, considering how busy it was, the service was very efficient. Beautiful decor and lighting. It's cosy and can see it's very popular so would definitely recommend that you book ahead!

Really good food at a reasonable price and friendly service

Read review about this restaurant on here - after searching best restaurants in South London. I am based 2 miles from Crystal Palace and was not aware of this gem of a place. So unassuming from outside, but love the decor inside - very atmospheric and in character with North African design. But the food is the best. Can’t recall having such an amazing tasty starter and main course. The spicy sausage and lamb shank Tagine were so delicious. The service was absolutely superb also - helpful and friendly. Booked there and then to come back on partners Birthday next month.

Always a guaranteed winner when picking a restaurant in the Crystal Palace triangle!

Numidie is one of my favourite local restaurants. Great ambiance and staff is so welcoming and friendly! The food is great, always perfect.

We hadn't been to Numidie for years and after this visit we are realising what we have been missing out on. The food is all made from the freshest ingredients and absolutely delicious as a result. The service is warm and friendly - when my wife asked for a zero alcohol beer which they didn't have in the fridge, one of the staff rushed out to get her one from the nearest offy. Really lovel dinner out and we'll be back soon.

Good honest hearty food with the nights drawing in the lamb felt spot on. Often you can come away feeling hungry, but not here…slightly frustrating that their tech was not working so only accepted cash, also only had one white wine in stock …. Lucky I also like red. Downstairs bar which has a lovely charm was unfortunately not open.

Restaurant wasn’t open despite accepting reservation

The restaurant was closed when we arrived! No information anywhere, did not pick up the phone dis not respond to message on Open table. Very disappointed...

What a disaster. The service was an atrocity and ruined the experience all together. It was so bad that we did not stay for our main course. 47 mins for our starter of hummus and bread to be served …. If you’re looking for somewhere intimately sweet and charming, with delicious food, decent service and a friendly waitress - this is not the restaurant for you.

Delicious, inviting and warm restaurant, complete with personal touches. Anna welcomed us and was very friendly and helpful. The menu had lots of choice! Everything we picked was tasty and felt authentic and well cooked. Lamb was tender, baba ganoush was one of the best we’ve tried and the roasted squash was incredible. Will go back as it’s one of the best places to eat in Crystal Palace!

Excellent food and service. Make sure you book. It was packed. Enough space between tables. Friendly staff. Service was a bit slow on the night because they had a problem with their electronic system and had to use paper and pen! 😀 Would recommend.

Seven of us had a delicious meal here last night. We all had tagines including duck leg, lamb shoulder, and vegetarian. They were all served in individual tagines, piping hot and delicious. A few of us had crepes to follow or an apple and pear tart. These were also delicious. The service was excellent by I think the Moroccan owner's wife, while he was the chef. They were very friendly. One of our group had spent a lot of time in Morocco, which helped. We all had a most enjoyable meal, and will certainly be returning.

Food was exquisite - fresh salad, well seasoned meat dishes and sides of rice and potatoes. The lamb shank and couscous was to die for!!! The staff, as usual , were very helpful and attentive and generally lovely!! We brought our friend from Nottingham to share the experience and she would love to return once she comes back to London. Without hesitation, this restaurant is a jewel, and comes highly recommended by me and my husband .

Our second post-cinema visit. The service was excellent & wines reasonably priced. Although not on the menu the whitebait here is the best - generous portions, great flavour & lovely crisp breadcrumb coating. We all had tagines (chicken, lamb & rabbit) which were delicious & the couscous was particularly light & fluffy. My doggy bag tasted just as good the next day. The complimentary homemade bread & olives were also delicious. Think this has become our regular post-cinema dinner venue!

Another lovely meal at Numidie with my sister in law and her husband who loved it. Great food, lamb shank and rabbit tagines/couscous. Mezzo starter generous. Great wine too and lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly and service is efficient.

Dropped in when looking for a Friday night meal, and were squeezed in. We ate predominantly North African food and it was exceptional. The staff were, efficient, happy and friendly and the restaurant had a nice buzz to it. Would definitely revisit if back in the area and would recommend if you like North African food in a restaurant that doesn’t stretch your budget.

I’m sure the restaurant is very good. Unfortunately it was closed and nobody told us that our reservation was a fake. Next time I would recommend to Open Table to check first if the restaurant is open before making a reservation

Everything i ordered was cooked to perfection. Quick service. And both of the waiters were so friendly. One of them made me a native mint tea, whilst i was waiting for my friend. I had starters, main meal and dessert, cost me just under £30 . I will be coming again

Superb service and delicious food in a lovely setting

My friends and I arrived at 19:30 for eating dinner. The food served at 21:15 because the only waiter by the name of Jamila was alone and serving 20 customers! The restaurant was so popular that many other people arrived but Jamila did not accept them. I ordered bread rather than couscous, because I wanted to try the Moroccan bread, but instead she brought me the white French bread! My food was shoulder Shank which was perfectly cooked. I gave 10/10. The service was 1/10 because there was one waiter for the whole restaurant. The toilet was located downstair with awful smell of humid, and all walls were swollen. I give 0 out of 10. Overall I give 7/10.

Numidie has survived in Crystal Palace because it provides tasty, well-priced food in a nice setting. The service is pitched at just the right level for a relaxing evening.

Great food although calamari and rabbit were unavailable. Portions were generous and the food flavoursome -especially the whitebait and soup. At £27.95 the sauvignon blanc wine was expensive. Service was friendly and attentive. Glad we had an early reservation at 7pm as the restaurant filled up very quickly.

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Very slow service, food arrived late, requested for water 5 times! When food arrived they forgot to give half the order - didn’t give the cous cous which should come with the meal until we asked for it. Very poor and the food wasn’t good either.

We had a wonderful time at Numidie last Saturday. It was recommended by a friend who said the "food was to die for" and she was absolutely right! We are going to Morocco next week and it was a wonderful start to our trip. We had mezze for two, Kofta and Ratatullie and some desserts too. Even got a birthday greeting from the chef <3 Absolutely amazing, thank you!

A really lovely little restaurant with delicious food and attentive service. Visited yesterday for the first time and will definitely be back to find it if everything is as delicious as the lamb shank we had. Wine list and decor could be more exciting - but the food and charming service more than make up for that.

Charming but slow service. Waited 15- 20mins for drinks order to be taken because there was just one waiter working but eventually another one arrived. Not very high quality food: the tagine was a watery broth with very little fresh spices, and not even enough in the bowl to cover the meat from arriving dry. Fortunately it wasn’t expensive but i won’t be returning here for a good tagine dish.

Great food in a lovely ambience. I particularly like tagines and Numidie do very good ones. I had a lamb shoulder/prunes tagine with couscous. It came very hot and with copious amounts of lamb. The desert was very good too. If I were to suggest one thing? It would be nice to have a bit of extra broth on the side as couscous is very good at soaking up all the juice!

Great ambiance. Our table was booked late on Saturday, so it was a shame some menu options and beers weren't available. Food and wine were good and priced reasonably.

Husbands birthday ..not even a tiny piece of cake or a free soft drink offered……bit poor…..mixed maze was nice to start but potatoes were not half as good as before…more like soggy chips . Tagines were quite small.

I booked this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday based on the reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The food was incredible! We ordered the special, which was the duck tagine and the lamb shoulder tagine. Both were absolutely delicious! We also had mixed mezze to start. The service was fantastic and you felt welcome as soon as you walked through to the restaurant. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time.

Cute little eaterie in the Crystal Palace area. Very intimate. Food selection is good but the drinks menu is sparse for those who fancy a mixed drink with their food.

The restaurant was freezing cold which ruined the dining experience. There was one waiter taking food orders for all covers and a lady just doing drinks. It took very long to be served and even there wasn’t ingredients available to make several cocktails. For our first time, we weren’t impressed even though the food was nice once we eventually got it, the whole experience ruined our enjoyment.

We arrived early and the staff kindly let us take our table early despite being very busy. The food was delicious, we all really enjoyed our meals. I would definitely come back!

Very nice food. - we had three different tagines. We didn't realise they didn't automatically come with couscous so were a little disappointed at the bread BUT the mains were delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff. Lovely decorations. Only real negative was that were very close to a music speaker and the sound wasn't equalised very well so there was a lot of bass coming through, which occasionally made it hard to have conversation.

Hi went last night for a meal . The grilled platter nice and compliments to the chef. They are reasonably priced and good portions. I will go back so I can get the experience again . Chef came out and even spoke to us really nice person. I will go back again definitely

A return trip to Numidie for my birthday. Lovely, warm service and terrific food. Highly recommended. Jay Rayner raved about this place in 2002 in the Observer and he was spot on!

Wonderful experience as usual service very attentive but not intrusive and great food and wine. We love Numidie and it hasn’t changed over the past years. My friend hadn’t been before and was really inpressed.

Staff were very welcoming and warm. Attentive in just the perfect way. I had fully intended to just have a starter and a main but they had pistachio baklava on. Now I love baklava so obviously I had to order that and it was absolutely luscious. I thought my meal couldn’t get any better after the amazing lamb chops with harissa but I was wrong. It was amazing. My partner loved their tagine too, which confirmed what be both suspected. They do like couscous, we just can’t prepare it properly… so if you want proper couscous with amazingly tasty accompaniment come to Namidie and stare at the beautiful decor and chat to the lovely staff. Great night out. Thank you.
