Number 27 in Highland

We had a very nice meal in this restaurant! Both the cullen skink and the salad with brie and walnut are recommended as a starter. As a main course we both had the fish and chips, which were delicious in their simplicity. The cider and the hospitality of the staff completed the experience! Highly recommended if you want to dine locally in Inverness!

Gluten free option of fish and chips but son was ill when he came home, was advised it was gluten free batter and fish and chips where cooked in own fryer or a cleaned frying pan but the have got something wrong. Rest of the meal was very nice for others in the party and staff very nice but for people with celiac disease best to avoid.

As always ( not been for a while) dinner was delicious. Had vegetarian moussaka, and it was the best vegetarian dish I've ever had, so far... 😋 Fantastic service as always.

Fantastic meal with equally good service. We came here for a family birthday meal and it did not disappoint. I opted for the Steak Pie this was delicious, piping hot with beautiful flaky pastry. The staff were excellent, they really add to the the fantastic atmosphere of the bar. The decor is cosy and modern and they have a dedicated dinning area should you not want to eat in the bar area. A must visit when in Inverness!

Number 27 is my dads favourite restaurant in Inverness and I wouldn't be surprised if it was his favourite in all of Scotland. I went there today for lunch with my friend and we had a splendid time. I said to her something along the lines of "its so nice when we feel that the money is worthwhile" which is what Number 27 gave us today. I ordered the soup of the day which was Tomato soup, the soup was a perfect temperature, it was a good consistency and the taste was comforting. I then had the steak pie which was very filling as well as yummy. The atmosphere is lovely; the restaurant is located right across the castle too. The music today was also a big scorer. Lots of Pink Floyd and R.E.M which is always good. If it was later, I would have definitely stayed for a drink at their bar because it looks so cosy. I can now firmly say I understand why my dad takes us here every time we are in town.

I was there on Saturday 2nd with 9 other women. Been many times before and great to see still have an excellent chef. Beautiful food. I just loved the brie salad and very yummy cheesecake. Katy and the nice chap also waiting at table gave excellent, friendly service. Great place to eat

Stunning ! We came for dinner with friends and we loved it. First of all, professional and very kind staff. A varied and affordable menu. You can take an a la carte dish or opt for the starter and main course menu for 17 pounds. As a starter I opted for the herring and potato soup, a succulent Scottish specialty. For main course, I had fish and chips which exceeded my expectations. The best I've ever eaten! Well cooked, quality products. Simple but warm and modern atmosphere. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

My experience at no. 27 bar and restaurant was exemplary during my visit to Inverness. As a first time guest, I was greeted with good humour, fantastic service and quick drinks! The menu had a great selection of Scottish dishes, including seafood and other non traditional meat options. I had the smoked salmon salad and soup of the day, and my partner had the Cullen Skink and haggis. We both loved our meals, ate every last bite and enjoyed the reasonable prices as well as our server! We enjoyed the music and atmosphere, but it’s unassuming from the table seating and outside decors. I would have easily passed up this place at first glance — glad we popped in! Un restaurant écossais bon ! On a pris en entrée un Cullen skink que l’on recommande, il était délicieux ! Ensuite j’ai pris un Fish & chips et étant enceinte je n’ai pu finir mon repas car les portions sont grandes !!! Mon conjoint a pris un burger du chef il l’a trouvé bon mais sans plus et il a pris en dessert un cheesecake butterscotch qu’il a adoré et dévoré ! Ce qu’on a aimé est la vue sur la cuisine, l’amabilité, le personnel souriant, à l’écoute et le tarif !

A good Scottish restaurant! We had a Cullen skink as a starter which we recommend, it was delicious! Then I had a Fish & Chips and being pregnant I couldn't finish my meal because the portions were large!!! My partner had a burger from the chef, he found it good but nothing more and he had a butterscotch cheesecake for dessert which he loved and devoured!
