Not Just Cafe in Fenland

First time time today, n excellent food n hospitality. Will go again n recommend it.

Went in unsure, place looked a bit basic. Very warm genuine welcome from friendly staff. Truly excellent Chinese food, very fresh, crunchy veg, flavoursome. Prices very good, and no corkage if you take in your own alcohol. A MUST for any future visit to Whittlesey.

Excellent food and service, clean

This place is not what I expected in the best way. Take your own alcohol, with no corkage and amazing Chinese food. We shared the mixed starter, which was delicious. Especially the smoked chicken and the prawn toast. Then I had the vermicelli Singapore style. Lovely spice level, huge prawns and a generous portion. Can't believe I've not been here before, but will definitely be back. Alice and her family are very welcoming and have a great little place.

Alice provides an unequalled service, food is exquisite, exceptionally cheap and there's always a generous helping. Food is cooked fresh and minimal wait time as all staff are ultra efficient Highly recommend a visit, you'll defo come back time and time again x

This is the cafe I judge other cafes by. For it is indeed not just a cafe. With Chinese as well as English food on the menu, you have plenty of choice. Fresh, plentiful food, that is tasty. Good service and friendly atmosphere 😋🙂

A superb experience. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast following a recommendation from my brother. The food was wonderful, cooked perfectly, hot, well presented. The customer service was excellent and the price incredible. My breakfast only cost £5 and the drink just £1.20 for a can of coke. I would highly recommend you book as unsurprisingly its gets very busy. As someone who used to work in the food and catering industry this is exactly how a restaurant/cafe should be run.

A friend went last Friday and said we must try Not Just Cafe. We went on that night (Saturday) It was fairly busy the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food came out quite quickly. We really enjoyed the food, it tasted as if it was all freshly cooked. When we got the bill we were pleasently supprised.

Popped in on the off chance at 5.30 and managed to get squeezed in. As ever the food was freshly made and delicious. Excellent friendly service. Very busy so best to book. Would definately recommend. Great value.

The food is much better to be had eating within. Taking food to go seems to be given less care or love put into ot, often times tasting awful.

A surprisingly large range of dishes and all at great prices. Tea comes in large cups and the service was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back again.

Great value, excellent freshly made food,polite and friendly staff You take your own alcohol with no extra charge.

It’s like those spit and sawdust pubs. Nothing special about the decor but it’s the service and what’s on the menu that really matters. The team are always friendly and engaging, the food is great, the bill is not expensive (helped by the BYO policy) and my kids are relaxed and don’t feel too pressured to be quiet. Plus they have random English stuff on the menu my fussy kids enjoy whilst we make the most of the Chinese menu.

Very good sized portions. Large choice of Chinese or English dishes. Friendly staff and good prices.

Went this evening with my son. Fantastic service and amazing food. So flavoursome and tasty.. really enjoyed our meal and the two ladies in there were very welcoming. Amazing! I’ve had both breakfast and dinner here and every time is spot on. The Chinese in the evening is the best, Alice (The owner) is super kind and always remembers how you like things. Not to mention how good the food is. Always fresh, hot and very tasty. My favourite Chinese/takeaway, highly recommend.

Egg fried noodles and veg stir fry in black bean sauce, king prawn curry, deep fried squid... bursting flavours, clean restaurant, super welcoming staff. Reasonably priced. Big recommend :)

Popped in for a lunch with a coworker expecting a greasy spoon / low end cheep eats and actually ended up having a couple of really REALLY nice Chinese dishes (S&S Chicken and I had the special stir fry) - Great mains and superb rice and not expensive at all. Owner was really polite and friendly as well.

We are new to the area and had visiting relatives to entertain. We were recommended to try Not Just Cafe (in actual fact the person recommending would pay for our meal if we didn’t think it was fabulous! )Food hot, fresh, tasty, reasonably priced and served by the lovely and enthusiastic owner - what is there not to like?! Was very busy so that is always a good sign - we were lucky to get the last table. Will definitely be recommending this little gem to everyone and returning very soon. If we could award more stars we would!

Six if us enjoyed a lovely lunch time meal. All of our portions were large but we did manage to eat everything. It's a very friendly place to eat and the service, food and prices are very good. We shall be returning.

It's lovely to have Not Just Cafe back. Excellent Covid procedures in place, we feel very safe eating there. The food - whether it's breakfast, lunch or an evening meal, everything is freshly cooked and so tasty. One of the real bonuses for us is that they serve breakfast all day, none of this silly time cutoff. Likewise, if you want a Chinese meal at 10am they are more than happy to oblige. Good hot coffee, hot food, good portions - perfect. Oh, and I almost forgot the lovely little courtyard garden which is lovely in the decent weather.

We are regulars here. We breakfast here, breakfast is the best in Whittlesey. We also enjoy evenings here, good choice costs about £10-£12 per head for two courses. Does not have licence but no pro lem take your own glasses supplied and Alice is lovely.

I go here a lot,it has a great menu, it caters for everyone including gluten free, prices are realistic and the staff are always happy and smiling, also they are open till 9:30 in the evening, love this place

I popped in here with a friend on a Saturday early afternoon expecting your usual greasy spoon cafe fare but was delighted to see the Chinese cuisine on the menu. A friendly welcome, excellent service and delicious food and sensible prices left us very happy. We will return!
