Nosheen Tandori Restaurant in Aberdeenshire

Saturday 18th June - Had the takeaway set meal for two last night. To be really honest the only thing that was fine were the popadoms and the onion relish ! The nan bread tasted like cardboard, the chicken in both my main dish and my husband's main dish was tough and over cooked (tasted like it had been cooked earlier and then warmed up), and then to top it all my husband later had a really bad attack of diarrhoea. I contacted the restaurant and they were very apologetic and said hygiene is their top concern. Apart from apologies no refund offered. Will not be coming back.

Having previously ordered a chicken Maryland for home delivery (used to consist of 2 chicken breast,, or 1 sliced in half,) ,,,,, I ordered one a few weeks back as it’s always been very nice and tasty,, only to be sent what looked like small chicken fillets, I thought maybe they had run out of chicken breast(but highly unlikely,,, So I ordered one this weekend and yet again but even smaller chicken which looked like the cooked chicken strips you would buy at a famous frozen food store, NOT HAPPY AND GOOD CUSTOMER LOST

Excellent service & delivery. Order & paid over the phone. Advised due to road closures, it my be 30 minutes. Was delivered within 15 minutes. Great service and the food was excellent

In Ellon staying for a 30th weekend. Ordered from this restaurant. All the food had arrived apart from the Naan bread (ordered two a plain and a garlic) Phoned to ask if the naan bread could be sent out, the lady on the phone said it went with the delivery driver so we asked if she could contact him to drop it off. Delivery driver arrived with the plain naan. We went out to see if we could grab the driver before he went off but he was gone by the time we realised there was only one. Phoned back and the lady was very rude and accused us of saying we received the plain naan in the first order..which we hadn't received anything. Manager came on the phone and kept interrupting. I said I don't understand the problem , you just need to say sorry about that and I will send out your order, if you can't do that refund the garlic naan. Sent the naan out two minutes later. Customer service not great at all. Would have taken two seconds to sort this but instead argued with the customer.

Visited on a Monday night, so at one point we were the only people there. My wife's curry and naan was fine, but I chose the rather expensive tandoori chicken on the bone. Very poor quality. I ate the first piece, hoping the second would be better, but it was worse. Hardly any edible meat, with very poor flavour. Very disappointing. Perhaps I was just unlucky on that night.

The best lamb dish I have ever tasted. The lamb was so tender and beautifully cooked, the spinach based sauce I chose was delicious and the portions were really generous. A bit of a wait but the quality of the food made it worthwhile. I didn't try any other dishes but my companions, one of whom is a vegetarian, have previously worked their way through parts of the menu and also recommend. A good range of options on the menu. Decor was a bit tired so if you are after something flashy you may be disappointed in that respect, however it is clear these people know how to prepare meat. I would score even higher but have not tried many things...yet- will be back.

We have been visiting the Nosheen since it opened 30 years ago, both to sit in and carry out. Over the years the quality of the food has waxed and waned but for the past few years it has been consistent and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Most of the staff are very friendly and the service is good. With Covid being ever present we've been having carry out and started using the home delivery service - what a revelation!!

What a disgrace, three curry’s which were bland. Basically three different coloured sauces with lumps of chicken in. It was disgusting. Paid £50 for 3 mains, 2 rice , 2 nans and a very poor onion Bahji. This was the worst curry I have ever eaten and I will not go there again. If I didn’t live so far away I would have taken it back, shocking. They should be ashamed.

Place was empty bar us on a Wednesday night back of 7 so service very attentive and helpful with menu. Food was very tasty must survive on carry outs and making money out of curry club but as hadn't been for years thought we would try. Pleasantly surprised, would go again

Unfortunately after playing my order online via Just Eat and getting my collection time of 18:55 it was 19:30 when I actually got my food. When I turned up I was told my order would just be a few minutes.... 10Minutes pass and no show, so someone goes to chase it up. “It won’t be long” ok I say, looking at the watch as it’s now +15 mins over my collection time. (Bearing in mind the restaurant is almost deserted!) What looks like the duty manager asks again form my name and again I tell her. Off she goes, but not to be seen for another 10minutes. Along comes barmaid who again asks name 🤦🏼‍♀️ Then manageress tells her there is a problem with my order, which is relayed to me and in compensation I was offered a couple of cans.......... 🙄🙄 then followed by a “or a bottle of wine”. Pleased with their offer I gratefully accept and put it down to one of those things. my food is handed to me 5 mins later and I head off to my pals for our catch up. However, unfortunately it gets worse. We had a set meal for two and chose the Chicken Pakoras (which turned out to be Chicken Dippers...... Nothing Pakora about them at all other an the sauce that was with them! The lamb Pasand... Well...... the lamb was dry as a bone, flavourless and tough. The sauce had almost no flavour at all. The chicken Rogan Josh. Again, Chicken was on the dry side (though I think they had used Tandoori Chicken) and the sauce had way more heat than flavour, A real shame as I seldom have a carry out and when I did in the past it was always from here and it was alway awesome! I will absolutely not recommend them, nor return. A real shame.

The naan bread from here is gorgeous! But the curry isn't as full of flavour as I had hoped. If you like something with lots of flavour then best to go spicier than usual as the second time I had take away from there I did that and it was excellent!

Used these for a long while and they've never disappointed, great tasting curries and when I ate in the service was fantastic

01-02-2019 Absolutely terrible!! My wife had chicken passanda and i had chilli korma, both were hellish!! We should have known as when we arrived to collect our order there was a sign advising that it was take away only tonight. We soon found out that the reason for this was a burst water pipe in the premisis and according to the staff the plasterboard had fallen off the cealings!! The place was freezing, im not even sure the place should have been open at all. Never the less i payed the £33 for our order and it was truly awful!! I decided to phone and complain (something i never do) and on doing so i was told "it was made the same as it normally is" no effort to rectify the situation!! Wont be going back!!!

Placed an order for a set menu, drove home and realised I didn't receive the garlic naan which I paid extra for. Had to drive all the way back down for it, wasn't even offered money back or the naan for free, disappointing, won't be back

We ate there on Friday night. Have eaten there before as we have family in that area but it had been a while. Was surprised how quiet the restaurant was and when we left at 9pm only one other table was in use.As a group though we were not very impressed with the food. The shared tandoori platter for starter was ok but the larger pieces of chicken tikka were just cooked and no-more. The lamb was fine but the dish came with veg pakora to bulk it out. The lamb buryani was exceptionally spicy hot before the sauce was added. The sauce was actually a vegetable curry. The dishes were all marked with a heat rating and this had no mention that it was going to be hot. The other dishes were ok and the Chilli NaN was excellent.We love our Indian food but unfortunately tonight the Nosheen was pretty average. The bill was not too expensive though.

The standard of Indian food outlets in Ellon is very high, but Nosheen is still in my opinion top of the list of all eating establishment in the area. Good food, good service still prevails.

Ordered Korma and rice x 2, along with onion rings, once received what we had ordered was definitely not worth £30, the rice was awful and flavourless, and the korma was cold, tasteless, and absolutely disgusting. Once we phoned to complain, we spoke to three different members of staff, before the head chef yelled at us down the phone and told us WE had to go back to them to have a refund because they demanded their food was perfect and they hadn’t received a complaint all day. Absolutely shocking, never again! The chef clearly didn’t like being told his food was absolutely dreadful!

We visited with friends on holiday after speaking to locals who recommended the place. We were shown to a table immediately.The waitress recommended the high tea to us which we immediately pounced on. The food was excellent.The starters, the mains and the icecream were all delicious. Really the service was brilliant and not too intrusive. My husband was impressed that when they asked if everything was ok that his mouth was not full as it usually is when he is asked. They even offered us doggy bags and rests between courses. Highly recommend the place and if we are ever back in the area we will certainly go back.

Ordered a takeout, food was prepared on time and well cooked. Value was good and service was friendly.

Visited for the first time over the weekend and the food was lovely! Staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly and was all cooked perfectly, especially the massive naan! Would definitely recommend for a reasonably priced, tasty meal. The décor in the restaurant is a little behind the times and could maybe do with a revamp.

I went here for the first time and only time, the meat is awful, I had the lamb and my girlfriend had the chicken.

This has been our go to Indian restaurant/takeaway since moving nearby in May. We have had multiple takeaways and eaten in a couple of times without ever having a bad meal.

Came to visit this place after passing by and eating hotel food for the past 3 years due to convenience even though this place is across the road. Welcome was very friendly, service was great by both members of staff and the chicken tikka sizzler was delicious the chicken was moist the way it should be, rice was cooked just right and the curry sauce not too hot and the portion sizes are great for the price. Music very relaxing creating a chilled atmosphere. I Would recommend this place based on food quality and service : )

Nice restaurant with good quality Indian food. Attentive owner and excellent service. Really good menu with plenty of accurate descriptions of the food. Starter of Chicken Tikka was moist and full of flavour. Main course selected was Lamb Budda and this was also excellent as was the garlic nan, which was the best nan I have had in a long time.

After going here for years I was disgusted to have ordered my take away and paid over the phone, to then get there 30minutes later and to have to wait 45 minutes to then be told they don't have an order for my name. Despite saying my name before sitting down 45mins prior. The lady at till then got who I assume is the manager to have the audacity to say I was rude and proceed to be rude and horrible to me. I eventually just said I don't want my order and will not be coming back. I was so angry I forgot to get money back so my wife then phoned to then have the same man in background being rude and talking about me. Absolutely disgraceful service and will never ever be going there again. You have lost a very regular customer so your loss! New management is needed asap.

Had the high tea and really cannot fault what you get for what you pay. Portion sizes are good and drinks are also reasonable. we don't eat in the restaurant very often as we usually carry out, but after this experience we will be back.

We visit here on a regular basis and the standard never changes. Food is 1st class and the service is 2nd to none.

Tasteless food, awful service, out of date beer to which somehow they blamed the waitress, I bet she did not stock the fridge with bottles that passed use by over 8 months ago. All served up on scruffy tables sited in a dilapidated building. To...

Este fue recomendado por nuestra hija que vive en Ellon. Cuatro de nosotros visitamos y todos estábamos muy contentos con nuestra comida. Elegí cordero buda que es probablemente la mejor que he probado. Fuimos de nuevo la próxima semana y yo tenía que tener el cordero buda de nuevo. Es un buen restaurante, tranquilo distribuido en nuestras próximas visitas que era bueno para la conversación. La camarera era muy agradable y la gent detrás del bar vino y comprobé que estábamos disfrutando de nuestras comidas. Una experiencia muy buena comida.

The food from here is excellent - portions are huge so be aware! Delivery is always on time and food is always hot. Probably one of the best takeaways in the area. It isn't cheap - but it is well worth the money.

I visited the Nosheen Tandori with my family. My parents had heard reports of new, improved ownership and a good value "High Tea" promotion. It had been years since I had visited and in recent years I gone to the Nazma indian restaurant. For the cost of the meal promotion we got a high standard meal and plenty of tasty Indian food.I believe the High Tea was £13 per person but I do not think it was highlighted in the menu or in the restaurant. We knew about it through word of mouth. It consisted of a selection of starters served to the table, a choice of most mains, rice, 1 big naan for every 2 dinners, and coffee or ice cream. The food was top notch. I went for chicken Madras from the Favourites menu which I'd highly rate. A big variety of more specialised and less commonplace dishes could have been chosen.I rate my experience and will return in the near future.

Very efficient service, we ordered Lamb Tikka sizzler and a lamb curry, fresh naan and pilau rice. The food was just lovely, presented beautifully, we also had a large wine & bottle of beer our bill came to less than £40, worth every penny!!!

spent £26 on a takeaway. mains only meal for two. I had the chicken chasni...bad choice...it was basically some dried out bits of chargrilled chicken in an un-naturaly red overly sweet and sickly gloop with absolutley zero texture- it reminded me of a liquidised peshwari naan!! My husband had the lamb nosheen masala which turned out to be spicy but lacking any flavour and encased in a generic brown base sauce. The nearby Tesco store does better indian dishes at a fraction of the price!!

It was a normal place quality-price. We needed to wait a while till we got served and they made a mistake with my wife's order. The naan bread was outstanding tough. It's a nice place to go if you are nearby and you fancy Indian.

They do a good curry in here! Naga chicken is a good choice, spicy and great flavour; and their paratha is pretty good too. Never had a bad meal here, and great value compared to other options in the town.

The food is brilliant the mixed pakora is my favourite. The hosts are very good and extremely polite.

Ate here as a table for one for the first time. Wasn't sure what to expect, especially as the place doubles up as a nightclub after hours.Have to say the food was delicious. I had the chicken pardesi, rice and a nan. All cooked fresh and very tasty.In fact, it was so good I went back again the next day.Highly recommend a visit.

My wife and I went for a meal here on the 10th September to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly and extremely efficient. I really enjoyed the food as did my wife. Just cannot understand why it was not busier with the standard of food and staff.

6pm on a sunday night....not a single diner in....WORRYING !shown to a table , drinks ordered (& served) then food ordered all with 10mins.....FASTshared our starter - CHICKEN & BRIE PAKORA - lovely (served with a little salad & 2 sauces)wife ordered her usual -- CHICKEN MADRAS & MUSHROOM RICE - madras was slightly hotter than normal but still LOVELY.i opted for HANDI CHICKEN & GARLIC RICE - chicken tikka in a madras strength sauce - LOVELY.BIG cheese & garlic naan - (slightly doughy in the middle)COBRA on draughtmy only complaint was there was NO plate/dish warmers so by the time we were finished our food (which were ample sized portions) it was getting cold.ONLY 2 other diners came in while we eat , ordered HIGH TEA for 2 (which was similar to SET MEALS) would return !

We had take out from here recently. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Ordered food online and was ready on time.

We visited the restaurant for the first time with friends on a Saturday evening; after it being recommended by other friends, the table booked for 7:30pm. The venue is an odd mix of styles with chairs piled up at one end and the tables for dining very closely placed. So it is difficult to have a conversation without hearing what is said at the next table. The venue itself also has a dark atmosphere due to the dull uninspiring decor and lighting. The staff were however very pleasant and our order arrived within 30 minutes, the food is average and certainly not the dining experience we were expecting. Maybe our expectations are set higher than those of our friends whom recommended the venue. Whilst waiting for our sweet order to arrive and more beverages to be served some of the staff started removing and tidying up the restaurant around us and another table of diners. When we asked the staff what was happening and if the restaurant was closing we were informed that in the late evening the venue undergoes metamorphosis into a dance club! We felt rushed and decided to forgo the coffee and leave as the bar was filling up with revellers waiting for the music to start and dancing to begin.We won't be returning anytime soon!

We ordered a takeaway from Nosheen, we had a 40 minute wait which wasn't bad for a Saturday night. Food was lovely and full of flavour. I am gluten free and they cater for my needs. Would recommend!

Love ordering from Nosheen, always great food and fast delivery. The delivery women are always very cheery! This is our new go to Indian in Ellon.

I have loved this Indian Restaurant since the night it opened and it saddens me to see it has gone so downhill. Awards on the wall belong in the distant past and I long for those Halcyon days again when you could walk in and ask for a staff curry of lamb on the bone that tasted better than any curry you ever tasted. Unless someone takes control again who knows what Ellon people want I fear yet another place in Ellon will disappear. Fingers crossed you just never know what is on the horizon and this disillusioned customer will be first back through the door in a shot.

Second Indian in Ellon is significantly cheaper with a set meal at around £22 but the quality is not great. Sauces quite thick and stodgy and meal was very heavy. Been twice and first time I would have given 4 starts as we enjoyed it, but second time the curries were bland and would have struggled to give 2 stars!

We visited with my friend and his wife who was visiting from abroad. We had a great start to the meal. The starters were very tasty indeed. On the 2nd round of drinks the waiter managed to get the order wrong. All started going a bit down hill from here. My mate and I ordered the same main. My wife chicken and my mates wife duck. When the food arrived we asked 3 times which was chicken and which was duck. The waiter got it wrong. After a few minutes the girls realised that they had the wrong meals. Mates wife is quite sensitive to spicy food and started feeling a bit dodgy. Anyway when we pointed out his error all we got was excuses. It wasn't until I had a real "go" at the waiter we got an appology. Spoilt the whole evening and I will not be returning. Pity cos the food was good. Spoiled by shocking attitude of 1 waiter.

The high tea is worth a try and reasonably priced. The staff have always been great, attentive and knowledgeable about the food. I've found they are happy to tailor make the meals to the heat you request. The only let down is the floor can sometimes be sticky (I think due to the disco held on a Friday and Saturday night).

Popped down to Nosheen tonight for High Tea. Excellent food which was quickly served by friendly staff. Geat value for the large portions that we received. Well down Nosheen.

Nosheen may not be the nicest looking restaurant, but neither have any of the good curry houses I've been to.Their portions are big and full of meat, so much so, that you can barely finish.Their Peshwari Nann's are absolutely amazingThe home delivery service is quick and you can order by card over the phone.Best Curry in Ellon, yes Nazma looks the part, but Nosheen has all the flavour

I have been going here on and off for years and I can recomend their High Tea option its great value and the food although it may not be super authentic is tasty.

An interesting experience in a restaurant come night club. Service was peculiar and confused. Head waitress seemed slightly aggressive when asked for anything outside of the norm but it did make for an amusing evening. Food was average a presented like we were in a flocked wallpaper curry house of the seventies!

We use this restaurant to sit in and also for take away on a regular basis. The curry is always superb and I would highly recommend it.

We have been visitors to the Nosheen for many years both for take away and sit in.Around a month ago we got a chicken korma take away each and the chicken was watery.We decided to leave it a while and went back last night for the same thing with peshwari nann.This time the chicken was dry (like it was reheated), the sauce had many coconut hairs (?) in it and the nann was greasy. Time to say good bye!

Ordered a chicken madras, but, it was like no madras i've ever tasted. It was red in colour and tasted like shop bought bolognese sauce. I've never had a madras with italian herbs in it before and i never want one again. Horrible, inedible, and, a total waste of money.

We've been coming here for years. It recently changed ownership. It was fine. Not what it used to be IMHO. They let us in with only a few minutes to go before close. After a long flight we were grateful of that.

I visited this restaurant on an occasion to pick up ordered carry out meals. I went there with friends and was quite taken by the friendly, good mannered, well dressed staff. We couldn't help but notice a very lively and happy atmosphere and the cleanliness of the premises.There was a nice aroma of Indian food.When we got home and went through the takeout food we were presently surprised at the size of the portions. The food had been packed so it would still be piping hot. All the courses were cooked to a high standard and we had no complaints at all. The food was reasonably priced and worth every penny. I would recommend this restaurant highly for both sit down meals and takeout food.

Me and a friend decided to go here for an Indian we got a seat right away and was served. Really good customer service always asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything else south Indian gralic chilli really good. Would definitely go back.

We visited for a sit down meal on the 26th of March - straight away we were greeted warmly and seated at our table. The menu has alot of good options - we had pakora's to start then I had chicken tikka masala. 3 of us were at the meal and we all absolutely loved our food. The service was really good - there was not too long a wait in between the courses and the waiters were really friendly. Tip - order 1 nan as they are huge, actually massive! The 3 of us couldn't finish just one!!On a Friday and Saturday night, the resteraunt changes into a nightclub! I've been a couple of times and it's great fun!! The music's really good! If you want a booth you've got to get there early as it gets packed as there's no where else to go in Ellon for a dance!So all round, it's a great place!

just a run of the mill takeaway but with high prices that make you expect better. The food is distinctly average compared to all the other take aways in town so should be the cheap option but isn't

Having gone to this restaurant for years and having had many take aways I was appalled at the service when phoning to complain about my order. For 3 weeks in a row things had been missed from my order and when phoning to ask why we didn't get enough mixed pakoras for 3 people was told that I was always complaining and to send the meal back! I wouldn't have had to complain at any point if they didn't keep missing things from our meal. I will no longer be ordering from here or recommending others. If they shout at customers like I was shouted at and are as rude as they were then they do not deserve anybody's custom. Look at your orders before sending them and make sure that everything is in it then people would not have to phone for the order to be fulfilled. Do not take people's money for items not delivered!! Poor poor attitude to regular customers and extremely rude!

With guests we visited The Nosheen for dinner on the evening of 23rd December. The place became quite crowded but we were ahead of the main diners. We had three courses from the Main Menu including Mixed Pakora for starters and Bhoona as one of the main courses. The sauce with the Pakora was excellent. With the Bhoona (I had the Lamb) I had Chapatis as opposed to rice. Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was first class. The price is average and not overpriced. Have been there before and would not hesitate to return again. Altogether a good bash!

Got a takeoway to save the good lady cooking ,for a wee group of family ,a couple of starters ,4 mail meals ,rice,nan,and the 6 of us was stuffed ,the taste great ,worth a try ,judge for yourself ,will be getting another soon I hope , lovely.

I am a student so I came home and my mum and I visited nosheen for the high tea, loads of food for a great price! (We were full after our mixed pakora!!) brilliant service and all the staff were very friendly! It was quiet inside but there was an inviting atmosphere so we didn't feel uncomfortable! Also the coffee and cream is a winner!

We had a takeaway and was not disappointed, we normally go to other Indians in the area but as this was a Monday night we had it, nowhere else was open. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be using it again.Have also been in for the 'high tea' sit in menu which is excellent value. Would recommend.

Portion sizes were large but there was a general lack of flavour and taste. Service was quite slow although the restaurant was quiet and we had to ask for the bill several times. We had the moonlight tandoori and the chicken biryani.

After ringing to speak to the manager tonight, I was appalled by his disgusting attitude towards a customer (me). I rang to say that we had been charged a delivery charge, when there is not anywhere on their menu that states that. It just says "delivery anywhere in 15 mile radius". I pointed out that they must quote to the customer on the telephone that there is a delivery charge, and not just tell them when they turn up at the door. Instead of an apology I received nothing but abuse from this so called manager, and he hung up, after telling me it was my fault because I didn't ask!!!!! Apart from this the food was very good, a bit cold, but very good. We won't be ordering again.

We went to nosheen for a family meal on a Wednesday night. The food was excellent and portion sizes were very good also. The restaurant and staff were very accommodating with us being such a large party, however I did notice on a few occasions that service with a smile seemed to be somewhat lacking. This is a very minor point in what was a very good meal and we shall definately be back to nosheen!!

I had the "High Tea" at the Nosheen this week. This is available Sundays to Thursdays 5 to 8pm. It consists of a papadum with spiced onions, etc, mixed pakora, a choice of a curry, either rice or a nan and ice-cream or tea or coffee. At ten pounds I thought this was good value for money. I enjoyed my South Indian garlic chilli lamb especially. The service was polite and efficient.

Love the Nosheen, really good extensive menu. Portions of naan bread are enormous, so beware do not order one for yourself, order it to share.Comfortable booths as well as tables, service from waiters and waitresses good.

Just back from a meal at Nosheens restaurant in Ellon. After a pleasant enough main course,a half hour wait ensued. Nobody asked if we would like a dessert or coffee a bill was slapped down on the table in front of us.After complaining to the manager a begrudged apology was extracted from the waitress. Needless to say we will not be returning to this restaurant again.

We ventured out on Monday evening to Nosheen in Ellon. Many had recommended the place so we entered with high hopes. The setting is very strange - as the place converts to a disco on the weekend. Anyway, we were seated quickly and handed menus. Drink orders were taken - two pints ice cold Tennets. The server then returned to take our orders - no pints. We asked to two starters - Tikkas & Kebbabs and Lamb Chops. I asked for an explanation of the four choices related to the Tikkas starter - as the menu implied you could select two different options within the four offers. Not so - one choice only - so in fact Tikka or Kebbab. The server was obviously put out by our requests for explanations - giving one word "No" answers rather than trying to help us understand the menu. We asked for Chicken Tikka - a single chicken leg was ultimately served - for 4.95UKP. A lot of money for a chicken leg. The Lamb starter was far better - good taste and portion (3 small lamb chops) for same 4.95UKP. We did not want to order mains until after the starters - the server did not listen or care to understand our request - coming back twice - "on her way to the kitchen" asking for our main order - before she would put in the starter menu - all this time - still no pints served. We asked a second server for the status of out pints - he quickly went to the bar - asked and disappeared. The starters finally arrived - still no pints. Asked again and the pints appears - two cold beers served in a Tennants glass - but not in fact T but the cheaper Cobra. We decided by this point - with poor service and no better than average food - we would skip the mains and leave. I asked for the bill. The bill was delivered in a American Express holder - matching the door sign. I presented the AMEX card - nope - not accepted. I asked why the sign and holder - no answer - just not accepted. Luckily my colleague had a Visa card - so we paid and left. In summary - lots of misleading or false aspects to this place. I know what I will do next time - NEVER HAVE MY SHADOW GRACE THE DOOR - i will never ever return - nor should anyone else - there is a far better Indian restaurant around the corner - review to follow.

Toilet door was broken and the food was nice. It had a very quick service considering the fact that there were not many people in. The staff were quite friendly.

Ive eaten in the Nosheen a couple of times whilst in Ellon on Business and been very impressed with the freshness and quality of food there. On my most recent visit I went for the Chilli masala which drew me in with its 3 chilli rating (hottest on the menu!). That coupled with a nice cold pint of Kingfisher(or was it Cobra) made for a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself has a nice modern indian look to it and looks as if it might turn into a Nightclub after hours!

Been here for a meal with friends twice, one occasion a buffet, second time ordering of the main menu - moonlight chicken - absolutely delicious. Really reasonably priced and great service.Take away also offers excellent value for money and you can order via the just eat app - chicken or veg pakora, two curries, pilau rice, poppadums and naan bread, spiced onions and sauce for the pakora all ( currently) under £20 and even kept warm on a hotbox should your other half inadvertently go to the wrong Indian!

My Wife and I have a meal on the odd occasion usually taking advantage of the 'High Tea' offer available during the week which is excellent value for money combined with the quality of the food. The downside however is the bill (obviously someone can't add up) ! This is the third consequtive occasion when the drinks element has been totalled incorrectly. The latest being £9 over ! When it occurs once then ok these things happen, but on theree consequtive occasions ................. ? ! Just check as a word of advice. The only other concern is the condition of the Gents Toilets which need to have a cistern installed above the urinals as a minimum

Had several take away dinners with family and friends, each time have been delicious. While awaiting the orders, the staff and friendly, professional and also fun to be around. Would definately recommend.

Booked a table a few days before with some firends. Turned up only to be told we had to wait as they hadn't set a table for 4 people.Drinks orders were slow (probably because waiter got sidetracked to another table).Food great quality and enjoyed it a lot!

Went here for a takeaway last night and opted for our usual set meal for two. Let me break this down as I don't know why it's so good value compared to other Indian takeaways. We got 4 chicken pakoras with dip, two popadoms with onion side, two main dishes, rice and a nann bread for under £20. The food has always been both hot and tasty. For a good takeaway that offers value and quality you really can't beat here. Oh yea, noticed last night they're also now on the just eat smartphone app so you can order that way now as well.

Wonderful service, delicious food and excellent value. Cannot fault it and will certainly be returning!

We, three seasoned travellers from India and the Far East, ate at the Nosheen on Sunday 11 August. All three of us were pleasantly surprised by the quality and authenticity of the food. The 'two chilli' dishes are considerably hotter than the Aberdeenshire norm! All in all a fine meal, and good value for money.

This place is amazing! The service, food, atmosphere! The food came really fast and there was a lot of it! From Sunday to Thursday they do high tea (poppadom,mixed pakoras,a curry with rice and ice cream,tea or coffee) all for £9.95. Would highly recommend to eat here! Also they do take away meals!

By far the best Indian in Ellon, having tried the other one I was dubious but I was really pleased with the service staff and food..will be going again this weekend...........

Went for a curry to Nosheen. Food was excellent, however the staff seemed to be a bit lacking in knowledge, always having to go and ask somebody else.the choice and portion sizes were good, and atmosphere was fine for quiet dining.

VisIted the nosheen for a high tea last night which was fantastic and amazing value, there were four of us and we got a popopadom each 2 big plates of chicken and vegetable pakora and chicken tandoor, And all the usual spices and accompaniments when then had to pick a main meal from the normal menu I had chicken biryani u received a rice between two and 2 breads between four, the breads were huge and the best I've ever tasted , the curry was full of flavour. We then had a choice of Ice cream, tea or coffee only two could manage the ice cream as we were so full.the value was fantastic 9.95 per person , staff were friendly and very attentive, all in all a fantastic meal and will be returning very soon

We moved to pitmedden last year and have used this restaurant on probibally to many occasions. Always taken the food away or got it delivered so can't comment on eating in but can honestly say their food is really tasty and great value. Actually its amazing value, especially the set meal for two! Less than £20 for two people and the portions are huge. Quality has been consistently good, delivery always fast and staff very polite.

Delicious meal from the Nosheen last night. Have not been in the restaurant for some time as we tend to get takeaways and I am always impessed with the food. 8 of us ordered last night and we were all very impressed. 8 dishes, 3 starters, 3 rice and 2 naan was £88, great value. They also gave us complimentary poppadoms and a bottle of wine! The haggis pakora is just FANTASTIC! I had the lamb minty as usual and it was delicious, my husband always has the lamb vindaloo and he thinks it is the best he has tasted (and he has tasted many!) Everyone else was impressed with their dish too. I did take a word of warning from here and asked them to calculate the price while we were on the phone. It took a few minutes for her to do this and then she phoned back a few minutes later to say it was wrong!

Since its had new owners I have dinned here twice and had numerous takeaway's.I can see there has been a vast improvement. Service is quick and the waiters pleasant. Our orders have been spot on.They make the best South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken I've ever tasted. Fresh and packed with flavour and not swimming in oil.Makes me honk the next day though lol.

We ordered a take away and the delivery was pretty fast. When it arrived we were told it was £50.45 ( for 3 currys, 2 portions of rice and a nan bread and popadoms) obviously this was wrong. We called them and they couldn't explain why it was this much and told us just to take £5 off our order. We decided to take £10 off ourself. I wish we decided not to pay at all. The food was disgusting, no flavour at all and the chicken was a funny texture. the popadoms were stale. It honestly was the worst thing I have ever tasted. If you haven't eaten here before don't waste your money!
